What that means is no matter who you are or what your power was she could make something go wrong for you. She has created a vacume that sucked all the air out of a valley and knocked out an entire army, caused earthquakes, spontaneous combustion, caused weapons to jam or misfire. One time when Ultron wiped the floor with the rest of the Avengers she nearly destroyed him with a single hex blast. Basically her powers are only limited by the writers imagination. And that's just her mutant hexes. Her arcane abilities are very powerful as well. It was in the 90's mini series that it was revealed that she is the one true nexus being of the Marvel Universe. That means that she had the potential, even back then, to be the most powerful magic wielder in the Marvel Universe. The problem was the writing, one writer would say she had the potential but little knowledge in the arcane arts, the next would say she was learning quickly and becoming very powerful, the next would take her back a step and say she had little knowledge again, and others would completely ignore the arcane side of her character. She has probably suffered the worst writing and continuity issues of any Marvel character. Still at her best she would have made short work of Cable!

Part of her problem has been that the God Chthon who is imprisoned in Wundagore mountain has been tampering with and changing her powers her whole life. While she has indeed created the occasional powerful effect most of the time she was unable to choose an effect. All she could do was loose her hex and wait to see what happened. It was like a spin of the roulette wheel.

Same vote here as bkhedr. Juggernaut in the '80's is the epitome of invincibility when in motion, and I doubt even Iron Man's dreaded dragon foe would do much even with the intense power of his flame breath. If the Hulk can withstand Foom's worst, so can the Juggernaut.

This match could go on forever with equal chance for Foom trapping Juggy or Juggy avoiding being trapped and outlasting Foom. Fin Fang Foom is also at Class 100 level so there is little if any strength advantage for Juggernaut. I will go with Fin Fang Foom as he is faster, more agile, can fly and is probably smarter although that isn't necessarily saying much.

Foom may be class 100 but he's not invulnerable so eventually Juggy will get ahold of him, tear him apart and have a giant barbecue for 2 or 3 thousand of his closest friends...finally ending once and for all the debate of whether or not dragons taste like chicken!

Juggernaut only has perfect physical invulnerability and his strength is in par with Fin while Fin is quite durable and has healing and telepathy. And Fin is a master martial artist even for his size meaning that he is quite dexterous and agile. Juggy's just a clumsy bouncer and could miss all his punches.

And I'm voting for Captain Britain.

Spidey's webbing has held the Thing when he was at the 85 ton level. He has also punched out Titania repeatedly and easily. She was also at the 85 ton level and possessed a high degree of invulnerability. In a battle with Titania and Crusher Creel he punched out Titania, Creel and Titania again before Creel paniced and grabbed hostages to get Spidey to allow them to escape. In addition Spidey defeated the Juggernaut who in turn one-punched Captain Britain.

Captain Britains reflexes while decent are nowhere near those of Spider Man. Even if Captain Britain were durable enough to withstand anything Spidey could dish out (which I don't think he is) he still could not beat Spidey because he could not hit him.

Defeated you mean by knocking out? Jugg's a clumsy bouncer. Ofcourse he will fare very well against Captain Britain, in a slugfest. And Spiderman's web have been shown with inconsistencies in tencile strength.

Captain Britains reflexes while decent are nowhere near those of Spider Man. Even if Captain Britain were durable enough to withstand anything Spidey could dish out (which I don't think he is) he still could not beat Spidey because he could not hit him.

Superhuman reflexes are nowhere near Spidey's? Spiderman is extremely agile but he is not extremely fast. That is why Dr. Octopus and Green Goblin can hit him. So yes, Captain Britain could hit Spiderman and the possibility of a one hit ko is very high(a 90 ton punch).

So my vote stands.

Silicon Surfer
02-13-2007, 03:29 PM
Spidey's reflexes are 15x human optimum while Captain Britains were descriped as "enhanced". While this is certainly not an exact, quantified statement of how fast he reacts it does suggest that he is not much faster than peak human. This would make Spidey somewhere between 5 and 10x as fast.

Doc Ock can lash with his tentacles at very high speed even though his reactions are only human. His tentacles may be able to reach the speed of sound like a whip. Green Goblin has superhuman reflexes also and while they do not match Spidey's they are quite fast.

Toby_Temple
02-13-2007, 07:03 PM
So you're saying that Green Goblin's reflexes are better than Captain Britain? I doubt that. And Doc Ock can also block Spiderman's attacks with his tentacles. That means even though Spiderman can punch and kick really fast Doc Ock can see them and could react accordingly to match Spiderman's speed.

Sue's the underdog here so i'll throw a vote for her.

She's probably less powerful but i believe she could manage.
Magneto's really arrogant when it comes to one on ones and he'd probably slip up.

Sue on the other hand tends to really shine when her back's up against the wall like this.

Silicon Surfer
02-14-2007, 12:14 AM
Magneto fairly easily. He has too many choices of techniques and tactics. He also has a defense for Sue's only offensive power which of course is her force field. MU physics says that one force field cannot penetrate another so if Mags raises his shield then hers cannot affect him. He also has low level telepathy with which he can try to break her concentration.

Venom.Symbiote
02-14-2007, 03:11 AM
Sue turns invisble than backs away. Not knowing where his foe is he doesn't even know she's forming a force bubble inside his chest until its too late. She's done this to Reed before and it took him out and he's a whole lot more flexible than Magneto. Fight's over.

Yes, Magneto could hurl all kinds of junk at her but she's got force fields too and none of it would hit her. As long as she stays invisible, he won't know where or when the attack will occur so the element of surprise is all hers. :venom:

Silicon Surfer
02-14-2007, 04:07 AM

Magneto. With all the people that would probably be in the mall, the villain always has the advantage, plus Sue's invisibility would no oubt be negated by Magneto sensing disruptions in the magnetic fields or something. Magneto always finds some ridiculous way to win. And then if he knew where she was, he could rip her in two, or enough civilians to get her to surrender. I'm not sure how, but he would definitely win. So says my girlfriend.

Ockham
02-14-2007, 11:26 AM
Magneto. He can protect himself from Sue's attacks and can detect her if she turns invisible (I think the magnetic susceptibility of a human body differs from that of air; also, he could likely detect the air currents resulting from Sue's movements by observing the paramagnetic oxygen).

I think it would be difficult for Magneto to easily locate her when she was invisible because of all the people around. He also would have to deal with everything at hand. I get the shield around him choke him out, but he has stood up against Jean and Storm who should have been able to do that.

So what says that she can't form a force field inside of his? If she does this, the field isn't actually penetrating his, it never even touches it. Once she forms a field inside his she can do pretty much anything with it including making it razor sharp and shredding Mags in his own bubble.

Another point: If they were in a crowded mall, Sue would realize that to keep innocent civilians safe she would have to take Mags down very quickly. Magento would not have the same sense of urgency.

Theoretically, Magneto has control over the electromagnetic spectrum, which representative particle is photons. So, in a hypothetical situation, he should be able to control photons.

Either way, between Magneto and Sue? Magneto. Sue can block up his throat or whatnot, but he won't choke out until he rips the iron around in her body, totally breaking her concentration, allowing him to absolutely bombard her with a constant pressure barrage.

Hmmm. I forgot that the fight will be in a mall. Erase my vote please. I need more time to think.........thanks.

Actually he can...however it's also stated that Sue can see other invisible objects so the power is irrelevant.

Although Magneto's primary power is magnetism, he has some ability to project or manipulate any form of energy that is related to the electromagnetic spectrum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetic_spectrum). He can fire and absorb bolts of electricity and magnetic force, reverse lasers and other forms of radiation or energy, create enough intense heat as infrared radiation to destroy a metal door, and become invisible by deflecting visible light around his body. (He has also dispersed a "flame cage" created by the original Human Torch (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_Torch_%28Golden_Age%29), but whether he had simply expanded his personal force field or employed something else entirely is unclear.) In Excalibur (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Excalibur_%28comics%29) (vol. 3), Magneto uses his powers to create a traversable wormhole (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wormhole#traversable_wormholes) between two points in space.
