But if she can block his throat, why couldn't she expand a force bubble inside his brain? That would kill him almost instantly. Maybe crush his heart instead? I still think she could take this one if she really wanted to. :venom:

He could also make her brain just flatten and scramble via the iron in her blood rather quickly.

It's more or less who's doing what first since their powers are that extreme. Plus, she'd have to know where the veins and arteries are in his head.

I want to go with Sue and I think she has a more than reasonable chance. However, the location really swayed me on this one. Magneto won't really care about the property damage or potential loss of civilian lives. Sue will so she will hold back or be distracted. In a fight where the power levels are this close, that could make a big difference.

Magneto

Magneto can manipulate all electromagnetic radiation so there is no reason that he could not generate a laser beam to attack Sue even through her force field. Her invisibility would be useless since there are electrical fields around the human body that he could sense.

I think Sunspot would win this one, mostly because I am not sure about Speedball's powers. But also because they kept making Sunspot more powerful.

I think Cap would be winning the first fight hands down, until Cyclops started letting loose and blowing up half of the arena with his unhindered optic blast. Forcing Cap to be on the run for a while but eventually Cap would recover, and get back to the offensive and not defensive, and come up with a strategy that would stop Cyclops making him win.

I think this is a backlash against the Hulk thread which was/is entertaining.

Just to be very clear the Vision has never been able to do what some of you are suggesting. That is turn daimond hard while in someone. That would ensure his destruction as well. And even having tried it with his hand did nothing more then enrage the Hulk further and ended up Vision being torn up.

The Hulk takes this one all the time.

Stryfe with no effort at all. He has the same powers as Nate Grey without the genetic sabotage and years more experiance to learn how to use them. Grey Hulk. Symbiote Spiderman is probably overall less formidable than the normal one. He has two major and easilly exploitable weaknesses that he wouldnt otherwise have (fire and sonics) and he's overly aggressive which partially neutralises his intellectual advantage.

One Thunderclap and SS would be out.

Silicon Surfer
03-10-2007, 12:41 AM
IIRC the symbiote is vulnerable only to certain frequencies not to sound in general so a thunderclap is unlikely to have any effect. The thunderclap like any other sound rapidly diminishes in intensity with distance so if Spidey's spider sense went off a single leap would take him out of effective range.

I don't know. I'm saying Spider-Man. The Grey Hulk is still immensely strong no matter the fact that he's slightly weaker than the Savage variation, but Symbiote Spider-Man's power was never really defined. Case in point- I remember back around Secret Wars 2 when they had him being chased by Firelord. He was so afraid about how Firelord was going to kill him because under normal conditions he would be killed, and desperately fought back. It ends up that in a few blows he humbled a person who uses the Power Cosmic. The Power freakin' Cosmic. And no, it wasn't a "slip-up". He knocked him unconscious.

Why Shadow King?
Dont get me wrong Incubat, I've no problem at all with voting against the crowd in these bouts, especially if you honestly believe in the outcome you're voting for. In that case, however dont you think it'd be better to include some of the logic behind that vote? In the interest of education with your fellow hypesters perhaps?

I'm sorry I didn't explain it but I was kind of busy. I don't know, I just thougt he could win (to be honest I don't know that much about Marvel but from the little I knew I trusted Shadow King to be able to take this one).

Spider Woman on the current one.

Okay honestly...what the **** is wrong with this piece of crap website? It takes a ****ing hour to post a damn message and even longer to navigate this site. I've never been to a site that runs so crappy and I can't understand why SHH! doesn't do anything about it. Everytime I come here I can feel my blood pressure rising because the site just isn't responsive, it deletes posts you are about to post, and it takes to long to do anything, its just a waste of time. The problem is only getting worse and I know its not just my comp because this is the only site that runs like garbage. I've been coming here less and less, and unfortunatley that is going to keep on happening. I'll post match-ups but only expect them once in a while, the way the site runs just makes me too mad, and maybe I just have a temper or something but it bothers me too damn much. Sorry all!

Yeah I really wish they would do something about the way the site runs. I really enjoy this website and all the people here because you guys all rule, but when it takes 10 minutes to simply check my tourney, and way longer to post a new match-up it just gets annoying and disheartening (I've given up on browsing the website for interesting threads like I used to because it just takes too long to get from point a to point b, and thats unfortunate because this site has so much to offer) Every visit ends up taking way longer then it should because the site is unresponsive, and honestly, it just ends up being a waste of time. I have more productive things to do then look at a white page while it attempts to load. None the less, I am not leaving, I just won't be here as often until the problem is resolved. I'm glad you guys agree with me that something needs to be done

Ok so Moon Dragon has the Mind Gem. She's basically a super telepath or does she have telekinetic capabilities as well? If they are just telepathic then I think Strange would take this fight easily but if she has telekinetic abilities as well then.......Strange still takes it. He has way too many options to be denied this easy victory. You'd have to match him against a high level cosmic/god/mystic to even truly challenge him. :venom:

Silicon Surfer

Moondragon is a telekinetic as well, in addition the Mind Gem also bestows telekinetic powers to it's wielder. Moondragon's telekinesis, unaugmented, is not particularly impressive.

Sound travels better in water than in air. Faster and farther.

Sorry, but you're wrong. Sound increases in speed as the density of the medium it travels through increases.

[nitpicking]
Hmmm... I see some nitpicking is in order. :) While sound indeed travels faster in water than in air, this is not caused by the larger density of water but by the larger "stiffness" of it. Generally solids are stiffer than liquids which in turn are stiffer than gases; thus the speed of sound is usually the highest in solids and lowest in gases.

Other things being equal, the medium with higher density actually has the LOWER speed of sound. For (ideal) gases, the speed of sound is INVERSELY proportional to the square root of density. Thus at 1 atm pressure, the speed of sound in helium (930 m/s) is larger than that in air (340 m/s) since the air is approximately 7 times as dense as helium.
[/end nitpicking]

Sloth7d
03-29-2007, 12:54 PM
Sure sound moves faster under water, but it doesn't make it more deadlier.
