That still furthers my point: The rational mind of the host usually suppresses Sasquatch's full power, whereas the Wendigo has no such compunctions. It's a mindless killing machine through and through.

not true remember the Wolverine Spiderman story?

wendigo held back quite a bit thenNever did read that story. But in Captain Marvel, before that murderer took over the Wendigo, Wendigo was matching the Hulk blow-for-blow. In Exiles, another reality's Hulk smacked the Exiles' Sasquatch around easily and a feral Wolverine had no problem tearing Sasquatch apart. Assuming that the Hulk and Wolverine are on similar power levels in those realities as here (and there was nothing to indicate they wouldn't be), that seems to imply that Wendigo would tear Sasquatch apart pretty easily if it's being steered by a human host. Most of the time, the host waters Tanaraq's power down as Sasquatch.

As a side note, why is it we're the only ones who ever debate things in this thread? :confused:

I could see either winning, but I like X-Factor more. Plus they have the distinction of a Jim Lee pic, as opposed to the Liefeld X-Force pic. :p

i could see this one going both ways too. i will go for....X-Factor. I like them better. Havok is my second favorite X-Hero. I guess the hardest obstacle for them would be Cable. I suppose Polaris could use her power to use Cable's techno-organic virus against him. Yeah, I vote X-Factor. :xmen:

Realistically, Cable would pretty much hand X-Force the match pretty easily, since X-Factor has no psychics of their own to counter him, but I just like X-Factor more so I don't care. :p

It definatley wouldn't be an easy win for Omega Red, or possibly not even a win at all. Cyber is tough...I mean real tough...the guy defeated Wolverine and broke his bone claws, and thats no easy feat. Omega Red is yet to defeat Wolverine (to my knowledge) but that still doesn't mean Omega wouldn't beat Cyber...

As far as I know Omega still has the ability to drain other's lifeforce, and I think it is in order to sustain his own but I could be incorrect. So Wolvies nifty healing factor aids him in battling Red where others succumb.

And as far as I know cyber doesn't have a healing factor. So I give it to Omega Red, but I think it would be a good fight :D

This is one of those fights I'm surprised isn't a land slide victory for Morg, I mean everyone has thier opinion and I love that and I love this thread, but I remember when just about all the heralds of Galactus had to join forces to take on Morg and he was holding his own.

Ok, firstly, their power levels are completely different. In strength alone, Cap is no match for Namor. It's true that Cap is better trained, but you are talking about going against the King of the Sea. Unless Cap can keep him out of the water for an extended period of time, there is no real way he can make up for the disadvantage of raw power. This being based on what I have read of these two characters, which I must admit isn't alot. I am not sure of other variables that would give more of an advantage to Cap. But from what I know, this isn't even a fair match up.

The shield, which is sure to recieve most of the attacks, will absorb most of the punch. its made from Vibranium which absorbs energy, hence the shield can protect him from anything short of a mental attack. no Namor does also have the arial advantage, but Cap can match that with his discus throws. I really have to say, Cap would be the winner, but I'm pretty sure this fight has happened before given the frequency of Cap and Namor meeting in WWII. who won back then?

I want to say Cap, but my head says Namor. Namor can go a few rounds with the Hulk and Cap's best attacks have been shown to have absolutely zero effect on the Hulk, so I doubt they'd fare much better with Namor. Cap might be able to throw Namor off a bit by the impact of his blows, but he's definitely not gonna be hurting Namor anytime soon. I haven't seen Cap do too many nerve strikes or any of the other ways martial arts specialists employ to hurt physically superior characters, either.

So, in the end, I vote for Namor. They wouldn't fight though, because Cap's one of the few surface dwellers Namor respects implicitly.

I would have to go with Namor...yeah Cap's shield can take the punishment, but Cap can't...truely if someone as strong as Namor hits his shield the impact of the hit would break Cap's bones...

Thunderball beat the hell out of the shield while a normal woman held the shield and it took a long time even for her to die. The shield's vibranium component absorbs a LOT of impact.

True...But I always just found the vibranium a little cheesie...Tony Stark also uses the vibranium in his armor as well to keep from being pounded in to hamburger ...a super hard metal is one thing but one that can absorb impact as well. But hell anything is possible in the comics that's why we read them :up:

I did but I always thought the vibranium thing was cheesy....Marvel explains the ability of the shield to protect Cap. that is was made from a special aloy metal composed of antimantium for strenght and vibranium to absorb impacts...

Yeah you know as much as I like comics and I know most everything is fiction in them this one really bugs me. I mean suppose The Abomination strikes Cap's shield ok so Cap is fine, I can accept that and his arm is not broken from the impact okay, but if the Abomination hits Cap's shield why doesn't it lift him off his feet and send him flying through the air?

Bugs the crap out of me but eh wtf right? :D

Presumably because the Abomination's much taller than Cap, so whatever momentum the Abomination's punches had left over from the vibranium's absorption of the impact would be at a mostly downward angle that would just push Cap's feet farther into the ground. :confused: Outside of that, I've seen Cap go flying despite his shield before anyway.

the way I understand it is that Vibranium absorbs energy, this I assume would include Kinetic energy, the energy of motion. its the same with how Bishop can absorb the energy of a punch.

Thing's a deceptively good fighter, able to hold his own against the Hulk for at least a little while. Colossus, on the other hand, got beat by a virus in the end. :p I vote for Thing.

As far as Ben vs. The Hulk goes Peter has also faced off against Marko Cain which IMPO is equally as impressive :D

Also Colossus has had to deal with countless Sentinels so he has tons of fighting experience as well
