thnx and no lol thats just like the light of the sun going down into the darkness of the night while it rains i dont know i thought it looked cool and resembled the whole complex of the movie like spiderman is the light becoming taken over by the night which is the symbiote..

hey XW2 - do you have any idea why everytime i try to install AfterEffects my computer won't run it - it says that it's either a bad install or that my computer doesn't meet the minimum req's, but i have no reason to believe either is the case...has this ever happened to you or have you heard of solutions to it?

I'm quite disappointed in myself. :csad: After seeing all of these magnificent poster manips, I decided to try as well. After spending about an hour of work, I must say what I have created is awful.

The left side (the actual world) was recolored to give it a gloomy setting... and I thought Spidey looked pretty darn cool in that color. In the mirror, you can only see a black-and-white reflection. That's to show that the world in the mirror is dark, but look closer and you'll go "Oh my geniuses! What happened to Spidey?!". Well, to showcase the symbiote and its evil effect on Spidey, I distorted Spidey's reflection to show the true image of Peter's evil side. Pretty hideous, isn't it? The mirror reflects the dark reality of Peter, while the left side shows the pain of the crisis he is living through. He is battling himself... and the dark half is winning.

actually i did make the body move...... you just cant see it because i made it extra dark....

if i make it move anymore i might risk making it look all globby and liquidy/mr fantasticy

I was going to write "Revenge, it's like a poison!" but that would sound really strange for a tagline. So, I had to think of something on my own. I wanted the theme of the "With great power comes great responsibility" saying to remain, but I also wanted to include the transformation from good to evil. So I used the tagline "Without responsibility, power becomes poison", which means without the responsibility he carries, Peter's powers will only hurt him and everyone else. His powers are used for his own selfish needs. He becomes irresponsible, and voila, you get the way he acts after the symbiote begins to become an influence. And I can't say this looks bad? Woo! Looks like you used a prerendered background, got a side-shot of symbiote spidey, pasted a Venom head on it, scribbled around with it, drew in some translucent webs with a tool brush, drew in a horribly fake Spidey hand, drew in some translucent junk on his hands, and pasted a strawberry-coated banana on him. I know it doesnt exactly qualify as fan art or a manip, but I just got a new Spider-Man tattoo this past Sunday. I went with the classic back spider on my left elbow. It came out looking fantastic. My elbow is still extremely swollen, and the picture isnt the sharpest quality, but I wanted you all to see it nonetheless.

Okay, update time. Before you look, though, let me remind you that I've been away at school and being busy with my life, so not much has changed. I've added some... unnecessary lightning, attached some blurred 'balls of light' to give the image a different look, and attached some of the raised rings to the tail (to make it more realistic). Also, I created a new layer and messed around with some texture effects for the Scorpion (someone requested that the texture be changed). I wasn't too sure I liked it, so I'm asking you. If not many people like it, it can easily be removed. Of course, I'm slowly going through the list of suggestions, and I'll be sure to carefully change some things to match your ideas. So far, though, this is what I have.

I prefer the classic look to the reinvention. However, since I just recently examined the Ultimate version of the Scorpion, I was thinking of having the Scorpion stay partly similar to Spider-Man. I'm not sure about changing the "Spidey lenses", as they sort of fit the look of the costume (plus, the Ultimate version used lenses).

Since both the Animated Series and the Ultimate versions both use yellow/orange eyes, maybe I'll... tint the lenses orange.

Okay, I know this will make some of you cry, but my third update came quicker than expected. It's nothing more than a recolor of the eyes/eye sockets, and a texture change for the tail. Listen up, though. This is only a possibility. If you don't like it, say so immediately and I'll think of a new solution. :woot:

Alright.

I had 2 main ideas when doing these images.

1) i wanted to kind of hold true to the comics
2) i wanted to give scorpion a new twist

So, in the first image, i went with #1

and in the second, as you've probably guessed, i went with # 2. The idea is that scorpion, based upon the natural predator of the spider, would be developed by the two people that hate spider-man the most: J.Johnah Jameson, and Harry Osbourne ( i went w/ the assumption that harry's alive).

Also note that in # 2, Scorp's has got decals displaying his "sponsorships", i mentioned this idea a page or two back, and he's also got a headset so that he can call for backup from...... the police, but that's coming in another manip. The face isn't any where near done, nor is his tail. This is still quite rough actually.
