I used the cover of the Maximum Carnage game, that Venom picture, and a Spider-Man movie picture. And I'm not trying to steal the work of the creator of the Venom picture just so you know.

I didn't just cut and paste here either. As you notice the entire shape of the alien's head is different. I probably use the liquify 50 times on here, then reverting, and trying again. I shortened the jaw, changed the shape of the teeth so many times. I colored, clone stamped, blured spots, sharpened other spots, used the magic wand tool till my thumb hurt, for hours

sorry, I was just saying that, because I honestly believe my picture is the best one on here.

Photo manipulation and artwork are two different things in my opinion although both are important for film concepts and movie characters. Can you draw by hand or paint or sketch at all? Be careful what you say. Nobody on these boards has created a comic type art leaving me the only one creating 'artwork' using drawing skills, digital painting or sketching ability and yet I wouldn't say for a minute my stuff is any better than anyone elses. I try to be realistic and 'humble' at the same time as proud of an original piece.

Keep it real Jason and you'll get more respect:up:

I do like that Venom. Just one scene where he pins Spidey against something showing his superiority over our Hero would be awesome. Then he gives him a friendly warning and tells him he'll NEVER be rid of this torment. Ending with a quick lick of Spideys face from Venom - how cool would that scene be?:)

Why do you guys leave the webs and boots on the black symbiote costume, the suit is suppose to be smooth and shiny like a killer whale's belly? :cool:

Visionary - I tried to imagine what the guys at Sony would do with the suit. It just seemed a natural choice I guess. We'll have to wait and see I suppose ;)

That's pretty impressive. Any chance you or someone could color it black, though? And perhaps take away the part of the symbiote that makes him look like he has a mustache, lol.

In this pic I've made the symbiote a lot darker (and removed his moustache! :) ) I found the more black it became, the more superficial and fake it looked, so it still has hints of purple to it, to make it look layered and less flat. This is the best goblin ever! They should've taken this one. It's most true to the comics IMO :up: purple and green fit great

I think that's the way to go with the design of Venom, in terms of the face (I think the body should just look like the hulk but black with a sort of blood symbol of a spider isntead of the sharp and clean version, but I think that's more menacing and dark.

Maybe on Spiderman 3, Eddie Brock is being introduced and starts developing, while Spidey gets the symbiote to defeat Sandman, and Harry/Hobgoblin dies or goes lunatic.Then on Spiderman 4 its time for the Lizard, Kraven and i hope the Vulture. As 4 ends, Spidey has got rid off the symbiote and it finds a new host, Eddie. Spiderman 5 is a fight between Spidey and Venom where it may involve that story on the island. Imagine that would be all about hunter and hunted, like the Predator film with Arnie, plus it would be a great struggle for Spidey not being able to swing from one building to another to get far away from Venom. Finally Spidey manages to leave the island and film ends.
On Spiderman 6 Spidey is against the Sinister Six who are formed by Electro, Scorpion, Vulture, Rhino, Mysterio, Doc Ock (who reveals at the end, he was just an illusion all the way back, by the mastermind Mysterio). So, the Sinister Six are in fact 5 vilians. Meanwhile Venom returns to finish off Spidey for good but finally decides to help him defeat the Sinister as he learns he will die soon from cancer, caused by the longtime exposure to the Symbiote and he hasn' t anything left to loose. I don' t know really, all of this was just an idea to have fun guys.

hey I did a lot of tinkering with mine. I didn't just take 30 seconds to post a photo of an action figure. compare the original to my fanarts.On the top ones look at the texture of the tongue, and the skin. that took lots of trial and error to find just the right effect, with lots of adjusting, and layers, erasing, history brush, and lots of lasso selecting.

Don't be so hard on yourself. I think that manip is great. The texture of the costume looks very fluid, its almost liquid like. Good job!

^I see why they aren't making the symbiote costume look like that.Because there are no details on it.He doesn't even look like the black spider-man.In comics that suit was cool,but in the movie,that would suck,I think Raimi/Sony thinks so too.
