I admit, the first time I saw those first 2 pics I thought Storm looked a little odd flying, but now when I think about it: she is coming to land in those, hence the arched back and legs forward stance. I love the way she levitates and spins in the Jean Grey neighbourhood scenes, hope we get to see her fly more in the trailer + film itself. Hope we get to see Storm, and the rest of the X-Men in action scenes in their X-Men uniforms aswell, I'm guessing they'll all be in their uniforms for the war/Alcatraz scenes.

i didn't see "the part" because it does not exist you are lying. there are white contacts that allow you to see. if that scene acctually did occur then i believe halle berry was probably to cheap to go and buy decent white contacts and probably poured white out in her eyes which is why she was temporarily blinded.

She's more toned in that image an in the film but still quite a pixie by "fighter" standards. I think the outfit looks very cute on her and I think that's a great term of "Field Leader" to the outfit but I was gonna call them fatigues.

Dorito Man is clearly blind because she's not even a centila of fat in that image.

I know what you mean about "manish". It's more of a militarized uni-sex look for her. It reminds me of a airforce uniform. I think it makes her look more commanding and tough and Storm needs this anyway. She looks like a leader; much more so than in the leather gear.

The shoulder pads do give her a 'broader' look yes, but I think the look they are going for makes her look like a commander. Halle actually looks more mature and adult in this film than her X1 "Storm."

The shoulder pads do give her a 'broader' look yes, but I think the look they are going for makes her look like a commander. Halle actually looks more mature and adult in this film than her X1 "Storm."

No, I agree with you! I already said she looked more "muscular" and tough. But see, being muscular doesn't equal "fat" to me. As one who is a fitness trainer I generally have a good eye for physique's and I can still tell that Halle's body is as tight as ever--even in that uniform. I think it has to do with the material, the color and the piping that gives her a more matured look.

And I think that's the intent.

In my opinion, the leather suit is the furthest departure from classic Storm. In the comics Storm was always unique with her X-uniforms, often having one completely different from the other members. I never cared for the "standardized" look the films gave her. As far as the "cyclopsish" look--you're dead on there. :up: It looks like something a leader would wear, and this film is supposed to establish Storm as a leader (or co-leader/headmistress). So I think it's appropriate that she wears something that is less feminine and "girly" and more businesslike.

Due to Halle Berry's sex appeal, the films have always made Storm out to be a weak, mousy sex-kitten--not a strong mother figure/leader. How can we take her seriously as a leader if she doesn't look the part? I think they are heading in the right direction with revamping her image. Even the way she walks at the beginning of the trailer looks more commanding. Hopefully her lines and delivery will match.

By the way, does her new suit kinda remind any of you guys of X-Men Evolution Storm?

I think I mentioned that earlier yeah. I totally agree with ya. Everyone seems to be getting a little carried away, with comparisons of uniforms from the 3 films and such. This is most likely a field uniform, where Storm goes to Alkali lake on a reconaissance mission with Wolverine, to probably locate Cyclops. I don't think Storm will all of a sudden have a brand new uniform, especially seen as we saw her in the teaser in her leather uniform with cape. This field uniform probably fulfils some specific purpose, I'm guessing it primarily keeps her warm. It's a cool uniform and nice new touch and Halle looks great but I doubt it's gonna replace her infamous cape uniform, that'd be a very risky move for Ratner!

I don't care for the way she's going about this. She needs to keep her intentions private. The only way this will work is if she marries the guy and makes it legit. Otherwise, she's going to open up a new can of controversy.What is that supposed to mean? Because I think this is one of the best decisions the woman has ever made in her life. If she has the balls to say "**** you!" to the moral superiors who insist you're a slovenly heretic for having a baby without having a husband first, and the balls to think she can do it alone, then I say more power to her. Single parents having children out of wedlock hasn't been a controversial issue for decades now, unless you're a right wing fanatc, and no one in Hollywood pays attention to those losers, anyway. She'll get nothing but prasie for doing it.

More often than not you are the voice of sense and reason, and an advocate of tolerance and intelligence, but I just did a double take on this one, big guy.

Needs to keep her intentions private? Halle Berry is one of today's premiere celebrities. Love her or hate her, that fact remains true. Everything about her life is scrutinized by the public, whether she likes it or not, and her desire to have a child--and how she goes about it-- would be the same. I applaud her for making her decision a public one as opposed to trying to jump through the media lopps and hoops that she'd have to dance through in order to try and maintain any type of privacy in such a matter.

The only way what will work exactly? Having a child or not causing a stir because she isn't married to the father of the would-be-berry? Because it has in fact worked for celebrities in the past and even for us non-celebrities to make a baby without being married. Just recently look at Brad/Angelina. Not only are they not married and she's knocked up, but their little bun comes on the heels of a much talked about divorce and adultry speculation, yet I don't see them being ostracized for it.

However, it is her decision, and what we the general public think, should be irrelevent. Yes, she's a celebrity, but she's human too. I wanna see her pop the tab on that can of controversy, swig it down and belch with self satisfied pride. I hope she shouts it from the rooftops when she succeeds in conception. C'mon Pej...Halle won't get "praise" for it man. She'll be singled out and bashed--as she always is. If people can make a big deal out of every miniscule detail about her then why would her critics be kind to her regarding this?

I don't have a problem with her doing it, but I don't like the sound of "I'm going to get whatever guy I choose and he's going to impregnate me". It sounds trashy and ditzy to some and too many already wrongfully brandish her as a ho anyway. Need I remind you all how much her Oscar win is already constantly dismissed as circumstantial due to the nature of the character she was playing? Some feel she ****ted herself out for that win, despite her abilities. People don't give that actress the same kind of breaks. Her star is still recovering, and she needs some hits to restablish herself and critics and fanboys will not make that easy for her. So my thing is, why give them ammunition for it? What people don't know they can't hurt you with.

And no, I'm not right wing in the least. For any other actress this arrangement would go over with no problem. But for Halle, it's going to be a problem because people will read too much into it and make it a problem for her. Just watch...:o

She has the absolute right to do whatever she pleases (and I applaud her courage to take on this responsibility), but it doesn't mean such a public decision will be advantageous for her career. It will only ruin it further.

I mean, Catwoman bombed and was on every media outlet as the biggest flop of the century. She even got a Razzie for it. :rolleyes: Oscar-Winner Charlize Theron does the critical failure Aeon Flux which makes 4 times less than Halle's failure and the media quickly sweeps it under the rug without a mention. Yet, Charlize has not been nominated for her Razzie...and fanboys are not demanding she give her Oscar back.

So no, this kind of "controversy" will not benefit Halle. She should have just done it, showed it, proved it and let us wonder who is the baby dad-da. That would have put the media and tabloids on their ears. ;)

Halle Berry is the bigger name only because she's Hollywood's top-paid Black Actress--and it's first African-American Academy Award winner. So yes, she has distinctions that other actresses don't. If she were white she wouldn't stand out as anything special among the pantheon of other beautiful caucasian actresses.

But Charlize is another big actress--and she too recently won an Oscar (shortly after Halle won hers). My point is, both of these starlets are a point of fascination for the media but Halle is watched more, hated more and critiqued more. I think it's totally dirty that critics and fans demanded that she give her Oscar back when Nicole Kidman, Charlize, Julia Roberts, etc. have all done terrible disasters and are not met with the same backlash. It's like people just glaze over their failures and move on.

It's base hypocrisy.

A few points to make:

1. Halle deserved the Oscar and by no means should she have to give it back over one film.
2. The reason that Theron isn't being criticised as much is because the film Orange County cancels out Aeon Flux.
3. Why do people only mention Catwoman. Some of her other films like Monster's Ball, X-men 1 and 2, Robots, Gothika all made large profits.
4. In her most recent flick "their eyes were watching god" Halle received critical praise and got nominated for a golden globe.

In conclusion just forget about catwoman!!!!!!!!!
