i am not pleased they decided to ram storms face through a table! every time i look at it its just "ouch" its bad enough callisto just ghetto puched the crap out of her! then ramming her face through the table is just insult to injury!
i wish storm would just hold on to her and shock the hell out of her for that! she did that on the cartoon in the dark phoenix saga when they fought the inner circle

Ha! I'm surprised Halle even allowed for her character to get jacked up like that in the first place. LOL But I guess that will make the revenge that much sweeter in the 3rd act.

X-MEN: THE LAST STAND'S HALLE BERRY
http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0605/15/storm3th.jpg (http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0605/15/storm3.htm)
NEW YORK -- X-Men: The Last Stand might or might not be the finale for the franchise, but, either way, it does figure to be Halle Berry's swansong as Storm.
After three X-Men films and Catwoman, Berry said she is hanging up her super-hero duds.
"I don¹t think I¹ll do this again or a spin-off because I do want to focus on other aspects of my career, and there are other things I want to work on," Berry said at the X-Men: The Last Stand junket.
Berry said the desire for more dramatic fare -- like her Oscar-winning turn in Monster's Ball -- and the time consumption of large-scale movies like X-Men: The Last Stand were primary reasons for moving on.
"I have a hard time reading other scripts when I¹m working on a movie, because I stay in that world that I'm creating," she said. "X-Men is a big chunk out of your year. If you do an X-Men movie, it's like six, seven, eight months out of your year, so it takes a lot of time away."
Fans clinging to the notion that Berry might come back do have some hope, especially since she wasn't always a sure thing for the third X-Men. http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0605/15/storm1th.jpg (http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0605/15/storm1.htm)
For months Berry had publically expressed a strong desire for Storm to be more important to the third film, and, originally having signed only for two films, wasn't certain to be back. She credited director Brett Ratner with Storm's increased and more satisfying role in The Last Stand.
"He felt the same way I did and he was very open to me talking about what her point of view is and what should it be," Berry said. "And how does she feel about this or about that and about how involved should Storm really be. And I had big issues with she¹s the teacher and doing more than flying the plane. There has to be a woman under there that has a point of view, that has passion about something, that¹s angry about something, that¹s happy about something.
"She just can¹t be this mechanical sort of character she has been in the past. So Brett was open to letting me be a part of that."
Like her castmates, Berry said she was surprised when Bryan Singer, who directed the first two X-Men films, opted to move on to Superman Returns.
"I don¹t think any of us thought there would be a franchise without him," she said. "I mean, we thought, 'There's no way they would do 3 without him.' So when we had to wrap our brains around, yes, in fact, he was not going to direct, it was a very confusing time. Some of us not knowing if we were coming back or not, for various reasons.
"But when Brett came on, I personally was really happy. I think he's a great director, and I thought he would bring a different energy to the project. And if this is in fact the last one, I thought he would take it out with a bang. And I would want that for the franchise. http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0605/15/storm2th.jpg (http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0605/15/storm2.htm)
"He had big shoes to fill. Bryan is an amazing director and did a great job with the series, so there was a lot of pressure and question if he could do it."
Storm also gets in on more of the action in X-Men: The Last Stand, fulfilling Berry's to fly as the character soars, zips, spins and throws lightning in the high-octane action sequences.
"I did a lot of wirework and spinning," she said. "It just took about five sessions with the stunt guys to get use to it and learn a few tricks. I'd done it before with Catwoman."
Sometimes, the make-believe of having super-powers got quite humorous on the set.
"You do laugh. We always bust up laughing," Berry said. "Because it¹s silly and sometimes it¹s stupid and it makes no sense. You've got these grown people doing these silly things. And then you just say, 'This is what I love about my job and what I get to do. And that I get paid to this silliness.; It all becomes silly at that point. It just becomes funs. And you just hope that when it's done that people get some enjoyment out it, some escape and some release."
Berry said she also appreciates the social context of X-Men.
"Although they're mutants and somewhat super-heroes, it really speaks to the heart of real people," she said. "Most people in life walk around very vulnerable because we're all being judged in some way or another, be it in our work environment, or we're all being judged by our lovers and our partners, by our children, by our parents, by our brothers, by our sisters. We're all walking around, really trying to fit in. And be loved. And be liked. http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0605/15/stormmugth.jpg (http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0605/15/stormmug.htm)
"That is the core of what X-Men is about. I think that's why so many people respond to it because they see their life in some way in the lives of these characters."
The issue of a cure for mutant heightens those elements in the third film and should be thought-provoking, Berry said.
"Because it happened to me in making the movie," she said. "It made me go and look at my own life and become really reflective about, 'Hmm, if I could wake up and be white tomorrow, would I do that?'
"I hope the audiences members leave with some thought of that and question their own lives and maybe create a little more tolerance. If the movie can have any significance socially, it will force people to have a little more tolerance."
X-Men: The Last Stand has received good early buzz and figures to be successful at the box office, unlike Catwoman's mediocre reception. Berry said it's tough to anticipate how a film will fare during its production.
"Because it's a director's medium," she said. "As the actor, you just do your little part. You have no idea what the other characters are doing in the scenes you are not in, usually. You have no control over how the director puts the movie together. You have no control over how it's marketed and presented to the world. You have a little, tiny part in it. What makes a movie work has a lot to do with many other people, not just you as an actor."
That said, Berry probably underestimated how poorly Catwoman would be received. After winning the Academy Award, she received a Razzie -- a dubious distinction for the worst in films -- for Catwoman.
"I thought in the world of action movies and comic-book movies, it was definitely different," she said. "It was different from any that I had seen. It was about a woman being empowered. I, too, thought we needed a better villain than a woman¹s face cracking off, but I was outnumbered in that arena. Everybody seemed to think, no, that was OK." X-Men: The Last Stand opens May 26.

Berry Talks Upcoming Projects!
Date: May 12, 2006
By: Kellvin Chavez
Source: Latino Review
While doing the rounds promoting "X-Men: The Last Stand," Halle Berry spoke breifly about James Foley's "Perfect Strangers." The film is set in the world of Internet intrigue, where Halle Berry plays a woman who goes undercover both online and off to investigate a friend's murder.
Berry says, "I play an investigator journalist who tries to investigate the death of her friend and in doing so she has to go into the world of the Internet and the dark side of the Internet and how nobody is who they say they are. And she goes in these chat rooms, it's like this sexy seductive world of cyber sex and fun stuff."
Berry is also scheduled to star opposite Benicio Del Toro in "Things We Lost in the Fire." The film follows a recent widow who invites her husband's troubled best friend to live with her and her two children. As he gradually turns his life around, he helps the family cope and confront their loss.
Here is what Berry said about the upcoming project that she will be doing next. "I play a woman who is married to guy who deals with the lost of him. He gets killed and she is dealing with the lost of her husband and she's got two little children and Benicio plays a strung out heroine addict who was a befriend of my husband and they have this relationship in the beginning. It's a story of how these two people come together and change each other's lives and help each other heal."
There is talk that there will be a spin-off movie with the young X-Men but will Berry be interested? "I think I'd have to say yes," Berry continues "Because I can see where that will be a part that I can probably sink my teeth into a little bit more being the leader of the school and have an impact on the kids in a different way, and I wouldn't just be flying a plane if I'm running the school."
Berry also said she is done with the comic book world but would do a second Catwoman if done right the second time around.
"Unless it's a Catwoman, in a minute. I loved it show much and I hate that…it was what it was but I know if we had a chance to do it again I know we'd make it better. We'll make a better story and have a better villain. I always thought we should've had a better villain than a woman who's face cracked off, but that's the past. I'm over it. (Laughs) But I would do it, I loved being Catwoman." replied Berry.
Berry continues "But if they seriously said 'We want to do another one and here's how we're going to make it better because we learned from the mistakes.' I would because I believe we could make it better. I think Catwoman is a great character that maybe wasn't presented in the right way.

The promotion department at Fox is full of mutants. They are called The Tricksters and I think they are fooling everybody with their half truths about the actual movie by showing different versions of it. I know is true it can be about editing but, it could also be a new way (maybe not that new) to ensure nobody knows everything until they should. Just enough so Fox can know where the movie stands with the public and the critics. I remember when X Files Fight The Future was being shot...pages were writen on some kind of special red paper to keep the script from being copied and spoil the movie. The end of the Village was re-shot to surprise the audience as well. And there most be tons of other tricks to protect the final product, especially now that piracy is a big issue. So, we could be in for a big surprise and hopefully everything that should be in will be in. After all, I remember someone mentioning that Ratner said they just cut about 30 seconds of all that was shot. Unfortunately, this could be the Storm scene where she talks about her past. I hope not. We shall see.
Storm22
05-15-2006, 07:31 PM
According to Kinberg all that was cut were 2 small transition scenes so either he was lying or something's up! I really can't understand why they'd cut a big action sequence like the tidal wave though!

PWR and I think Darth said it wasn't in the press screening. Neither was Mystique's computerised voice among other things though so a lot of people are now thinking the press screening was an unfinished version. Maybe they didn't include the tidal wave because they were still working on it's FX.

God, these conversations go round and round for pages! Someone asks or comments on something, someone answers after a lot of debate, someone else steps in and sees the tail end of it mentioning something they didn't know, and asks the same question that was asked in the beginning...

It was previously mentioned that you had stated that you didn’t want to come back unless you had more to do in the film.
HB: That’s what I threatened. (laughs) But I really wasn’t going to do that, but I thought that I somehow have to scare the **** out of them and get them to give Storm a point of view, so I really didn’t say that to the studio; I just sort of threw that around thinking that it will get some attention. This is all I ever wanted. Not really more screen time because I know it’s an ensemble, but if Storm spoke for 5 minutes, then I wanted it to be 5 minutes that meant something; 5 minutes of character development; 5 minutes of a point of view and 5 minutes of some back story history, not just “go get the plane” or “come on kids, let’s go”. After three movies, I really wanted her lines to mean something

I think Hugh and Halle were the only ones in Mexico. My guess is they stopped there on their way back from NY and all the junkets before going back to LA to rest up before going to Cannes for Monday (Hugh's family didn't go to NY with him so they must still be in LA).

Halle Berry prepares to turn the big 4-0
Star insists she will not get married, but may have kids
Access Hollywood
Updated: 7:44 p.m. ET May 15, 2006
There is no doubt that Halle Berry’s new movie “X-Men 3: The Last Stand” will be a big deal when it comes out on May 26.
But as Access Hollywood’s Tim Vincent found out in his latest interview with the Oscar winner, there are much bigger things about to happen in her life.
“You’re coming up to your 40th,” Tim mentioned.
“Ugh, yes I am,” she laughed.
“How do you feel about that?” asked Tim.
“Great. I really do. I’ve learned so much and with each year, I get better and smarter and wiser,” she smiled.
“Do you think it helps that you look 20 as well?” Tim joked.
“Well, you know, I think so,” Halle said.
Just three months shy of her 40th birthday, Halle looks young, happy and up for the next phase of her life.
“I'm moving into a space where I need something more meaningful — another reason to wake up in the morning besides going to do a movie,” Halle explained. “It’s family and children that's the next evolution of my life. I'm putting out those thoughts, so I'm sure that it will manifest — if I adopt, if I have my own, if someone gives me one to take care of, I don't know. It will manifest itself somehow.”
But has Halle finally found the right man to have kids with — boyfriend of 7 months Gabriel Aubry?
The two have been super cozy ever since they met on a Versace photo shoot. Yet, the twice-divorced Berry is adamant — no marriage!
“Won’t be getting married,” Halle insists.
“Well if you do, invite me,” Tim joked.
“You will never get an invite to that,” she said again.
“Definitely, no marriage?” Tim asked one more time.
“No marriage,” she said.
So, if no wedding plans, what about babies?
Well, Halle told Oprah recently if by 40 “there’s no serious man , whoever I’m dating at the time, I’ll say ‘Hey would you like to have a baby?’” Halle said.
“But you do have a beau and if you are giving out that vibe, it could happen,” Tim suggested.
“Anything could happen,” she agreed. “You put that vibe out there and it will come. I've realized that to be true “
“All I’m going to say is that you are very good looking. He is very good looking. It’s amazing genes and we’re not talking Levis,” Tim said, drawing a final laugh from Halle.

This is just rediculous how i trusted this movie would be good. Ratner has done nothing that i expected. We have already seen and pieced together about 40 minutes of it because we have the teaser trailer, theatrical trailer, 18 SCENES!, the new additional 6 scenes!, 13 tv spots, but i guess im the only one who finds that awful. So im leaving here until the movie comes. I wanted to say good-bye 2 u all and i will truelly (spelled wrong) miss u all for all the sorrow and fun we've had. I'll be on later today, but after that, thats it. So good-bye.

Storm is getting a lot more praise than bashing for this film. I've read posts from imdb.com who have said Storm has improved and how she was one of their favorite characters in X3!!! Or if they dont know what would happen, they should asked doom:
Uncanny x-men #147
Storm’s claustrophobia had caused her to subconsciously gather power to herself in a desperate attempt to be free, and now that she is, that power has left her almost like the goddess she once claimed to be.
Doom takes advantage of Wolverine’s temporary shock to try and escape, but Storm has other ideas. With a single lightning bolt she manages to drain Doom’s energy reserves, causing the watching X-Men uncomfortable memories of Dark Phoenix. While they watch, Colossus arrives. Confused at what he sees, he decides to merely remove everyone from harm’s way, by removing the floor with them. His attempts to reason with Ororo fall on deaf ears, and she tosses him outside with the rest.
Angel arrives to find Doom and the other X-Men confronting the rogue Storm, and argues with Doom about his responsibility for the situation. Storm mocks them, saying they cannot face her power as a goddess, causing Colossus to make an impassioned plea for her to remember her humanity, and not lose the battle as Phoenix did.

When does Storm break through X's powers?
In the x2 novel, it said that william stryker's son learned what xavier had learned years ago-and just as painful. He learned that when storm was fully in tune with her powers, it was virtually IMPOSSIBLE for a telepath to gain access to her mind because she possesses too much energies that caused too much psychic interference. The first time professor tried, he went home with a devil of a headache. THE FIRST TIME i repeat. It was pretty much like trying 2 grab hold of a lightning bolt.

It's not quite overnight in the movie world. And she lost someone too, just like Wolverine and Cyclops. Jean was like her white sistah. So, that's one character shift, then I'm sure we know what happens to her "father-figure", so there's the other character shift...

Finally saw the Storm Clip. Wow, I can't tell you how excited I am to see her do something more than standing behind someone, or asking for help....(dumba$$-singer). The reviews coming in sound great...well the four out of five that I read. All praises for Halle. ITS ABOUT FRIGGIN TIME!
And there are other things to look forward to as well...A lesser role for Wolverine (although it sounds as if he does save the day again, ugg). Grammer as Beast, brilliant. Angel, as little as he is in it, it should be all good. Ian=Fabu!
My favorite part of all this is Famke's SILENT Role. And she's only in for a handful of scenes. (I'm not the a Famke fan. Hell, I didn't even know she had a fanbase until I came hear. I think her acting skill is dry boring and annoyingly effortless. The same could be said about Halle. So I'm not going to go any deeper than that.)
A few things that could be done a little better...poor poor Cyke (then again he got trashed on in X1, dissapeared for 45 mins in X2) :( The running time. Whose idea was that? The twisted retelling of the DP Saga. ICK! Oh well, cant win them all.
But I got what I want...if only there was Rolo= many layers of greatness!
Couldn't agree more. By the way, who said that?

Halle Berry Says X4 a Possibility

At this point, I think it can be safely declared that no one, save Brett Ratner and the Suits, are even trying to pretend X:3 The Last Stand is the actual close of the film franchise. Patrick Stewart more or less called Ratner out as a liar trying to get more bodies into theaters; Ian McKellen suggested a few days ago the franchise could continue onward; and of course there's the ever popular "several of the contracts call for at least two more movies" deal. Now joining the ever growing chorus of sequel-expectant actors is Halle Berry, the lady who plays Storm.
In an interview with blackfilm.com, Berry was asked about possible spin-off films (a popular question for X-actors these days), and indicated she knew of no plans for Storm in the spin-offs, but later suggested there may well be a fourth X-Men movie in the future:"If this is the end, which in my mind it probably is, I'm just really happy with the way it ended; and if [it] does well, Fox will do another one. It would be advantageous for them to do another one. I think they will if the fans love this one enough and enough people go see it and they all want it, I'm sure there will be another one."
A bit confusing, since she says in her mind it is probably "the end," but then twice goes on to say she fully expects a sequel if the film does well. Maybe she expects X3 to crash and burn?
It amazes me how easily reporters put words in Halle's mouth. She knows it will do well, she just doesn't want to appear arrogant. I mean, no actor goes around saying 'my movie will be the best'. I can just imagine...
Halle: "Oh I know this movie will do fantastic."
Reporter: "Halle Berry says she came back to save the franchise."

So...if things go according to the way X3 pans out (allegedly) Storm will be Headmistress of X-Mansion in this and the next films. I actually think this is a cool concept; she's led the X-Men in the comics for about 30 years so at least the decision has precedence. In fact, Storm, along with Beast as the school's resident doctor and Logan as perhaps the field leader, would make a solid group of elders to lead the maturing younger X-Men. If X4 features Gambit, Angel, Kitty, Collosus, Rogue (maybe), IceMan and brings back Nightcrawler, I think we'd still have an awesome X-Men team.
What do you guys think?

Yes...and no...
I think
1. Angel could be too effects-heavy, too expensive.. all that high-up wirework equipment, prosthetic wings, digital FX...
2. Alan Cumming will only return as Nightcrawler if they use his 'image inducer' to make him human-looking a lot of the time, which isn't in line with movie Nightcrawler's proud stance. If Nightcrawler returned we'd have to know why he wasn't in X3. He could be recast if Alan turned it down i suppose - the make-up makes the recasting less obvious.
3. Colossus isn't getting a good feedback in X3...they'd need to build his backstory (and that could involve Russian mutants such as Omega Red, Darkstar and any others i can't think of right now!)
4. Rogue is allegedly cured. Her arc seems over.
I could see Storm, Beast, Iceman and Gambit (and therefore Rogue being in for a possible romance - depends how they leave the Bobby/Rogue romance at the end of X3). I'd like to see Jubilee take to the main team at last. And maybe another newcomer - Sage? Bishop (to see Storm some lovin!)? Also I'd like to see Psylocke on the good side.. dunno how they'd explain it, but the X-Men need a psychic to operate Cerebro. She'd have to turn up at the mansion, having escaped Phoenix's blast by teleporting. If Psylocke is in, she needs to have more purple in her hair and be more athletic/curvy...
I could see Storm as the leader, Beast as the resident doctor, Angel, Gambit, Iceman, Kitty, Colossus and Rogue. I like X-Maniac's idea of giving Nightcrawler an image-inducer. If not, just recast him.

But doesn't Phoenix blow away Psylocke in X3? I thought she got reduced to ashes.
I'd like to see the following:
Storm: Headmistress
Beast: Resident Doctor
Gambit: (this needs to be played by a big name or familiar face--Josh Holloway please)
Kitty
Collossus
IceMan
Rogue
Jubilee
Angel
Nightcrawler (he would be a striking devilish contrast to Angel)
That, to me, is a balanced, well-rounded X-Men team. We don't need Logan (we'll have Gambit), and Xavier Jean and Scott will be off the scene as well. It's like Star Trek: The Next Generation, but with mutants. ;)

Psylocke and Nightcrawler both teleport, so i guess they wouldn't be in the same movie..I seriously doubt we'll get Nightcrawler again.

Berry Talks X-Men: The Last Stand!
Date: May 17, 2006
By: Kellvin Chavez
Source: Latino Review
Halle Berry came out of her shell in the newest X-Men film. As Storm, she kicks some serious ass in "X-Men: The Last Stand" - and, of course, looks great doing it! Being one of the background mutants in the prior two, Storm comes front and center in the third (and possibly final) flick.
Is this the last time we're going to see Halle as Storm? Well, she says she hopes not and really wants to get back in that suit. And it's possible Halle will be donning the Catwoman outfit again! The Oscar-winner says if the script and story is right, she'll come back to that series.
Check out what Halle had to say about being the lead, Storm, in "X-Men: The Last Stand":
YOU KICKED ASS IN THIS ONE.
BERRY: Thank you. It was fun. This time, I've said it before, but it wasn't about being more in the movie I just wanted to have a point of view and right away when I met with Brett [Ratner] he said that he agreed with me and that that was what he hadn't liked about the series so far. See, Storm is so strong in the comic book and such a presence and I said it wasn't about how many minutes that I was onscreen, but that if I was on for five let me say something in five minutes. I know that it's an ensemble, but let Storm have a personality. Let her have a point of view. Let her speak and say something, and he was like, 'Right on. She's going to speak this time.'
DO YOU SYMPATHIZE WITH THE CHARACTER BEING AGAINST THE CURE AS A BLACK WOMAN?
BERRY: Oh yeah, and I'm so happy that they wrote her against it.
WOULD YOU FEEL THAT WAY ABOUT LIKE, IF THERE WAS A CURE FOR DIABETES YOU WOULD TAKE IT?
BERRY: I'd cure diabetes. I would cure anything that ails anyone's health. I would love for everyone to live with optimum good health and no one would be sick or have any disease that threatens their life. I have a nephew who has down syndrome and I think that he was born that way because he's meant to be born that way and I think that those babies are joy babies. I know that my sister has learned a lot from having it and I think that he has been a blessing in her life. So would I want to change that? No. He had a lot of heart surgeries when he was younger, but would I want him to have heart problems? No. I want him to be happy and healthy, but would I change who he is? No.
IF HE WANTED TO CHANGE THAT THOUGH WOULD YOU SUPPORT THAT?
BERRY: Yeah, because he's living with it and he said that he didn't want to be this way? Then yes because I think that I ultimately support that we all have that choice. If the choice were there for us I would support someone who wanted to change because I don't know what it's like to live with that, and so I could not and would not want to stand in the way of someone else's right to chose. But me personally, I don't believe that I would be someone who would choose that. Like if I was able to say, 'Okay, I can be white or Black?' Would I be white? No. Would I be Asian or change in any way? I think that I wouldn't and that I would stay the way that I am.
CAN YOU TALK ABOUT THE DIFFERENCES IN WORKING WITH BRYAN [SINGER] AND BRETT?
BERRY: Well, Brett is five. He's like a five year old in a big man's body. For real. And that is fine because he loves movies and he loves people and he has this unaffected way of dealing with things like kids have. He is very childlike in that he says what he feels and laughs when he wants to and gets mad when he wants to. He does everything in a moment and in an instant like kids do. So you always get the feeling with Brett that you understand exactly where he is and what he is doing because he wears it all over his body and I am a person who really responds to that because I don't like to guess at things, like, 'Well, he said this, but what is he really thinking.' I want to really know what is what. So I like that part of Brett. Bryan was a lot more cerebral and I think that the first two movies reflected that. This movie is very cerebral too because that is the nature of the comic book, but Brett brought a lot fun and a lot of action and lightness to it that I think the fans will really like. It's something a little different, but if this in fact the last movie I think they will be happy that we go out with a bang because it gives them, I think, finally what the comic book is really about too in many ways. It's about that big action splash that you want to see your superheroes doing.
IF THEY CALLED YOU BACK AND WANTED YOU TO BE THE LEADER ON A NEW SPIN OFF ARE YOU GAME?
BERRY: I think that I would have to say yes because I could see where that would be a part that I could probably sink my teeth into a little bit more, being the leader of the school and have an impact on the kids in a different way and I wouldn't be just flying the plane if I was running the school. So I think that I would go back [Laughs] if I had my cake.
WHAT WAS THE MOST CHALLENGING PART OF THIS THIRD FILM?
BERRY: Challenging. Probably on this one it was the flying. I had to do a lot of spinning this time around and I found out that I have a pretty weak stomach. I lost my cookies a few times.
WHAT DO YOU THINK IS ESSENTIALLY THE REAL SORT OF THEME IN THESE FILMS IS, AND DO YOU THINK THAT THESE FILMS TOOK THEMSELVES TOO SERIOUSLY?
BERRY: I love that they took it seriously because that said that this was a serious issues, but that we could present it to you in a way that both young and old could relate to and understand and get something out of. I think that in the comic book it's presented as a serious issue. So to not have it be serious I think would be to not do the comic book justice. It's always been serious.
HAVE YOU SEEN THE ENTIRE MOVIE?
BERRY: I haven't seen it at all. I'm not going to see it until the premiere in Mexico.
WATCH IT ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE CREDITS.
BERRY: I'll have to do that in Mexico.
I UNDERSTAND THAT THERE WAS A SCENE WHERE YOU LAUGHING A LOT?
BERRY: Oh, is that when Brett came out as Hugh [Jackman]. I mean, imagine Brett in Hugh's costume. Brett in Hugh's costume [Laughs]. That's all I'm going to say. It was just hysterical.
OF THE FILMS THAT YOU'VE DONE SO FAR WHICH ONE DO YOU THINK HAS BEEN THE MOST SATISFYING FOR YOU PERSONALLY AS AN ACTRESS OUTSIDE OF 'MONSTER'S BALL?'
BERRY: I would probably say 'Introducing Dorothy Dandrige' simply because that was the first time that I had tried to produce something and I managed to do it not knowing what the hell I was doing really. I was just trying to figure it out and I was able to bring to life the story of a woman that I just loved and who's life so inspired mine and who left a legacy that allowed me to dream that I could one day do what she did. So that was really meaningful. The work itself was meaningful, but knowing the importance of bringing her story to the forefront and reminding people how hard it has been for people of color in this industry felt really great.
ARE THERE ANY MORE HISTORICAL FIGURES THAT YOU'D LIKE TO BRING TO THE SCREEN?
BERRY: I think that for me playing her - I feel like I want nothing to be better, that I started with the best. She was the person that I thought was the most meaningful in my life so I doubt it. The only one that I would probably love to play probably later in life is Angela Davis. She's someone else that I really love and her life is so fascinating and her position that she was in, many people think that's not sympathetic and they say, 'You can't make a movie about Angela Davis. You know who she was?' Yes, I do, and that's why I'd like to do a movie about her because I think that anyone is sympathetic when you understand why they did what they did even if they did something horrific. I think that if you tell the story from a human point of view, if you're human and a sympathetic person you can understand why people make bad choices sometimes. We've all made them. I think that you can take yourself outside of your reality for a minute and maybe understand why people do bad things sometimes and why they do destructive things, and that's a reality. It's what is happening all around us. It's not that I think she did, but I think that you can understand why anyone does something if you come from the right point of view.
ARE YOU WORKING ON ANYTHING RIGHT NOW?
BERRY: A movie with Benicio Del Toro called 'Things We Lost In The Fire.'
WHAT'S YOUR CHARACTER IN THE FILM?
BERRY: I play a woman who was married to a guy and she deals with the loss of him. He gets killed and so she's dealing with that and she has two little children and Benicio plays a strung out heroin addict who was the friend of my husband and they have this really adversarial relationship in the beginning and it's the story of how these two people ultimately come together and change each other's lives and help each other heal. It's one of those small, indie feeling, slice of life movies. It has no wrap up ending. The ending is just as unclear as the beginning was, but it's a wonderful little slice of life movie.
WHEN WILL THAT COME OUT?
BERRY: Not sure. We start in the summer though.
WHAT ABOUT 'PERFECT STRANGERS?'
BERRY: I just finished that here in New York.
WHO DO YOU PLAY IN THAT?
BERRY: I play an investigative journalist who is investigating the death of her friend and it's about and in doing so she has to get into the world of the internet and the dark side of the internet and how no one is who they say they are she goes into these chat rooms. It's like this sexy, seductive world of cyber land and cyber sex and fun stuff.
ARE YOU DONE FOR OTHER COMIC BOOK FILMS?
BERRY: I'm done.
UNLESS THEY CALL YOU BACK FOR STORM?
BERRY: Right, or 'Catwoman.'
WOULD YOU?
BERRY: In a minute. I loved it so much and I hate that it - it was what it was, but if we had a chance to do it again I know that we would make it better. We'd make a better story and have a better villain. I always thought that we should have had a better villain than a woman who's faced cracked off, but you know, that's the past and I'm over it. I think that I would do it. I loved being Catwoman. I can go with a joke, but if they seriously said, 'Here's how we're going to make another one and make it better because we learned from the mistakes.' I would do it because I believe that we could make it better. I think that Catwoman was a great character that maybe just wasn't presented in the right way. People see it on video and they seem to like it. They tell me that it wasn't as bad as they all said.
I HEARD THAT THERE WAS TALK OF DOING A 'CLEOPATRA' FILM WITH YOU. IS THAT SOMETHING REALLY THAT'S IN THE WORKS?
BERRY: Well, it's been out there for a while, but probably something that is a little bit more real than that is that I've been working on a movie with Marc Forester to direct on a movie of (SP?) Nephrotiti and her life. So that's probably a little more real and closer to happening than Cleopatra.
HOW CLOSE? IS THE STUDIO LOOKING AT IT?
BERRY: The funding is secure and we're not going to do it with a studio. We're probably going to do it on our own and then get a studio to distribute it so that we can do it our way, Marc's way really.
STORM HAS NEVER BEEN STRONGER THEN WHEN SHE HAD THE MOHAWK.
BERRY: [Laughs] Next movie. I think that I'd have to go shorter. I can't go longer. I would be open to doing the white Mohawk. I have to give it to Brett. He's the one who said, 'Okay, that hair. Gone. I don't know what we're going to do, but it's not going to be that.'
IF BRYAN WAS GOING TO DIRECT THE THIRD FILM WOULD YOU HAVE STILL DONE IT?
BERRY: [Laughs] Yeah.
HOW CLOSE WERE YOU TO NOT COMING BACK?
BERRY: I mean, as a director I think that Bryan is awesome. I can't wait to see 'Superman' and I am a fan of him that way. It wasn't that if he was coming back I wouldn't have come back, but it was more that I had another project that I was sort of toying with where I would really get to do something and it was way less money then this pays us, but I was just feeling like I didn't want to go and get a lot of money and sit around my trailer and do nothing. That didn't sound like a good time for seven months. So it was more about that and realizing that if they gave Storm a little something to do then I would gladly come back. I just didn't want to come back and sit around when I had an opportunity to go and do a great piece of work somewhere else. I was struggling with my obligation to the series and to Storm or whether I should go do some work. It was just sort of a confusing time for me to figure out what was best for me to do and ultimately I chose this.
WAS THAT PROJECT 'PERFECT STRANGERS?'
BERRY: No. It was one that I couldn't do because I had to chose one or the other, and so it moved on and I chose this one.

This sounds good if it works out.

Sorry to drag this on but imo the fact that they're using Storm's wave sequence in her newest tv spot is an indicator that we'll see it in the theatrical cut. Anyone else agree?
