Yea and Fred can only kill people in their dreams if they are truely scared of him. I don't think Batman would be afraid of some physco in a christmas sweater and a glove with butterknifes on it. Although, Fred Kruger does scare the crap out of me. ;)

Batman is a detective. He'd analytically find a way to defeat Freddy. Or he'd enlist the help of Zantanna or Boston Brand (Deadman) to fight and/or destroy Freddy.

I dont know whats the debate here. Kruger is supernatural!!!!!! Hes the damn boogie man. You think batman is going to have kruger repelant??? Kruger wins hands down.

First, in order for them to ever fight, Batman would have to be afraid of Freddy, or at least know of him. After that, the best kind of victory Batman could get would be to stop being afraid of Freddy. Logically, this would happen if Batman somehow defeated Freddy...

What's to prep for? Fingerknives? That stripey sweater?
... But, Freddy is invulnerable. You can't truly kill him in the dream world, and if you kill him in the real world, he'll end up back at his place again. Either way, an apparent victory could help you stop fearing him.

Things Batman would do well to know:

- Krueger can and will use your fears against you.
- The less you fear Krueger, the less authority he has over you.
- You can actually command the dreams similar to how Freddy does it.
- If you're holding Freddy around the same time you wake up, he might get pulled out of the dream with you.

He'd also need to set an alarm clock, so that he has chance of waking up after however long time he'd dare to stay inside the dream.

There's only one way to defeat Freddy, it seems, and that is to make sure EVERYONE forgets about him (so that no one can fear him). At least, that's the closest they've ever gotten to truly defeating him in a Freddy movie.
