Toronto HYPE members Get Together on Opening Day/Night...I'll be in costume for pics!

So...What do you guys say?
I plan to be in costume on opening day or night of the film so that all the kids, young and old can take pics with the Batman or just come up and say HI.

I havent decided exactly which theater I plan to be at....Eaton Center is a possibility, the Multiplex down town is a VERY good possibility or even something like Colossus in Woodbrigdge...'cause it's around the corner from my home....LOL!

Anyway....
I'm working out all the details and once I iron out an arrangement with management from a particular theater I'll let you guys know where and if it'll be an all day thing....an evening gig....whatever...
I'd love to meet everyone who can make it from this board.
It would be fun to finally put a face to some of the screen names here that have been so cool and supportive of my work.

As soon as I have more to share I'll let you know.
If anyone here thinks they'd be up for this....chime in and say 'yay'!

Also...I need to run something fun I want to do for the Hype board to the Moderator or Administrator here. I emailed the Superhero Hype a week ago but I have a feeling they didnt get it.
Can anyone suggest who I should talk to for getting the OK on something pertinent to this board?

I think that's the one I'm considering. Is that not the huuuuge theater downtown?
If so that's the one I'd like to be at.

I will look into it this week...I'll let the SW hype die down a bit before going to talk to management about this Batman thing but I think this is the theater I recall as being pretty big and real nice looking.

I hope everyone can make it. It would certainly be fun for us all to meet and hang out...maybe go for a drink afterwords....be it coffee, beer, pop or milk...whatever it is you're into............. or allowed to drink....:)
It's always fun to meet people you've only gotten to know as screen names on a board.
I think it'll be a lot of fun for all.

My plan is to be there all day, and there could be a few other hero's or villans there with me...working it all out now.

I plan to watch the film at some point during the day....not sure yet about that detail but what I am sure I want to do is be there for all the kids and simply have some fun in costume.

With some luck I'll have this all ironed out shortly...we are already in talks with several theaters and as soon as the official OK is given I'll be sure to update it here. This is all being done at no charge and just to add to the hype surrounding the opening day.

As a kid I personally would have loved to meet Batman in person and seeing as I have the possibility to make that dream come true for kids now a days I really feel strongly about doing this.
Besides....might meet a few board members along the way....and that's always a good thing. :)

Hey David, the Paramount downtown sounds like a great place for us Toronto board members to meet up. As it is right now I will probably be seeing it with a few friends on opening day, but I would bring em along depending on the theater you're at. You're also right by the City-TV building so maybe a reporter and a camera crew will be there too to hype up the opening day of Batman Begins.
In addition, a Hooter's restaurant is just 2 minutes nearby just in case you have an urge for some beer and chicken wings. ;)

I agree with Paramount being the perfect place to do it. It's right near a subway station, its right near Silver Snail comics, and of course Hooters. its a really cool spot to do it, and ya, a camera crew is deffinately a possibility.

Oh and if u r wearing a mask with the pint things around the neck, tuck it into your tights shirt. I hate those pointy things sticking out. make sure the cape is long! Mop the floor with it. Batman does!

Just got confirmation that the Paramount Theater is where I'll be for the opening. There will be some others with me in costume also.....heh heh heh...:)

I really hope everyone who's in the city can make it as it would be fun to meet as many of you as possible.

Although all the details have to be worked out between the theater and myself as to just how we're going to do this...the bottom line is we're officially going to be there!!!!

I just added something in my Begins Costume thread...and I want to make the next pics to be of the completed parts so I really really hesitate to post more than a few teasers at this point...:)

I'm just really happy that this suit is finally winding down. It's been a lot of work but all well worth it and I still am very greatful to everyone here for the help and support.

I'm glad you too are getting pumped for this!!!! I certainly am and cant wait!!
As the date draws closer we'll figure out how and what to do as far as taking off from the theater and getting to know everyone who's shown up.......we'll go someplace close and have a few laughs, talk about the movie and basically get to know everyone from the board who's shown up!

Will be fun for us all I'm sure!

Man this will be great, I am in. My friends and family tolerate my obsession but it would be great to meet others who are as hyped for this as I am, feel like a little kid again.

I have a digital camera and I am a web guy so many pics will be posted.

Just the other day at a big theatre in Toronto (colossus in Woodbridge for those of you in T.O) There were tons of Batman posters and a value popcorn meal with a batman begins contest. The trailer was playing in a loop on the TV screens in the lobby.

Finally it begins :)

Colossus is where I was going to go for the premier because it's just down the street from my home...I too live in Woodbridge, but decided on the downtown theater instead.

Please tell me someone here in Toronto saw much on demand today. the batmobile was downtown at muchmusic during that time and they showed it on air. Im still not sure exactly why it was there but it was awesome. I can tell right now your gonna draw in a huge crowd at the premiere david, its going to be crazy.

Hey can anyone confir the report that the Batsuit will be on display at the Paramount on opening day??

2 people have already called me today to tell me this but I cant find any related info on it and it's not easy to get ahold of the Manager of the theater to confirm it.

All I can say is woah...if it will be there, and I'll be in costume.....I will probably just stand like a zombie in front of it all day in awe......

Guys.....this is all so amazing. The reality of being able to see these items in person is totally mindblowing.

WOW, WOW, WOW...the Tumbler looks amazing in person. I got about 30 minutes of video and 20 shots. One of the batsuits that Bale wore is there, PLUS, all the gadgets in a display case. This Tumbler on display was infact in the movie as told to me by one of the WB reps present. The general people walking by were impressed and amazed at the same time. People will dig this film. Will post pics soon.

OK...just a heads up...

Everything for the 15th is set. We'll probably show up at the theater at about 11:30AM...time to suit up and then be there pretty much all day. We'll take breaks and change into our normal stuff to watch the film a few times during the entire time we're there otherwise I'll probably have a heart attack....:)

It's officially confirmed so if you want to come and say hi, or bring the kids and take pics....or to go for drinks later on just say so.

I'd be happy to hook up with any bro's/sisters from this place.
