I realized I think the perfect Rogue might have been Mandy Moore. She's good in "Saved", playing a psycho bi-atch, she's the right age (Rogue WAS 17 when she joined the team, perhaps 16 when she first encountered the team), she's smoking hot, she's the same height about as Rogue, and she looks in my estimation a ton LIKE the character.

I like to play around with casting in my head for fanfic; and I always have different images in my head than what's on the paper when I read the comics. I'm totally sold on Jackman as Wolverine, Page as Kitty, and McKellen as Magneto; but can't shake my personal visions for the rest of the characters (love Famke as movieverse Jean when I'm actually watching, but she's been Mystique in my head since Goldeneye so unless I'm actively watching the films, that's who I'm picturing her as :) I'm also into fashion, and the modelling world opens up a lot of possibilities, especially since I don't have to worry about how they sound or if they can act. I was the one to originally say that but now I think I'd rather see real teenagers for most of the New Mutants and especially Generation x. Black woulda been better, I think we can agree, like 7-8 years ago. And as much as I love Friday Night Lights and wouldn't mind it's actors being paired up in other movies, Sunspot was black native Brazillian not light Mestizo Mexican-American.

Again I know this is just ideal casting not "who would do it" but Heath Ledger has ruled out ever playing a superhero all together so the notion of him playing a small supporting character who doesn't talk is even more outlandish when he's just doing leads in most movies and possibly strong supporting roles in big or award-type movies.

I agree she could use some sandwiches, but Rahne was pretty teensy herself with the exception of Liefeld. Except for the disproportionate breasts some other artists gave her, male comic book artists don't seem to grasp the rarity of skinny+massive breasts :D

No, I don't "reckon" that. They might look part the part, so to speak, in that they're known for dressing and wearing their hair all dark and "dirty" and outlaw and being annoying fangirl/gay bait just like Gambit can to often just be. But facially they don't look particularly like Gambit beyond most good-looking caucasions.

Holloway particularly would be an utter distaster, maybe the worst you could do. Although again, atleast he has a reputation for being a nice guy, unlike Leto.

there's no such thing as a natural "dark outlaw look". Anybody can color and wear there hair dark and longish and get a tan and grow stubble. I'm just sick of people making casting pics based on the fact they've seen a person dressed or made up like the character would be not based on them having UNIQUE physical or genetic attributes or relatively strong skills suited to play a character.

I don't have one actor I'm cheerleading for. I think certain relatively strong young actors like Trent Ford and Lukas Haas could really pull it off. The best way to go would probably be an unknown. The worst way to go would be some ultra-derivative type and stuntcast who doesn't even have the ability to speak with a generic American accent much less the peculiar and difficult Cajun one, which Josh Holloway would be.

Personally for me Mei Melancon was agreat Psylocke and I KNOW she is alive. She also i thought she signed for a 2 movie contract. Anyway she was Perfect Brett just made her look bad IMO. And i wouldn't like a britt Psylocke she is better with her Japaneese.:up:

Longshot is an underconsidered and would be a relatively inexpensive character to portray in a movie. You don't have to give a huge backstory about him escaping from an alternate universe. He has plenty going for him as a character. He isn't yet another badass, he was sort of unique in his level of naivety and goofiness but he wasn't A JOKE and unrealistic as a hero ala Jar Jar Binks.

The only special effects required for him much would be how to make him look like he has 4 fingers on each hand (including the thumb) when his hands are in shot.

donnie darko, for that pic of archangel, it seems like fabio should play him. well i can't mess with the pic's right now, but to play PSYLOCKE, i would choose Kristen Kreuk, that girl from smallville, and the face cleaner commercial. Psylocke has already been played by Meiling Melançon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meiling_Melan%C3%A7on).
