Prison Break: Fox's new groundbreaking series

Is anyone else excited to see Prison Break?

It's about this guy on deathrow who has been wrongfully accused of a murder. His brother, an engineer, tries to break him out of prison when he robs a bank. He then (somehow) ends up at the same prison. He has the map of the prison (in which he help design) tattooed on his arm, but it's disguised as a gothic church. This story happens over 22 episodes and is set to air in June. :cool:

Pretty good show, I like that there's also a conspiracy going on behind the scenes, it's not just about breaking out of prison, although that's interesting as well. The producers already have plans for the next season, so I'm sure there's a lot more than just the prison break that's gonna happen. Fox seems really behind this show too, which always helps, however, with how early the show premiered there's gonna be a lot of long breaks between episodes, that's the only bad thing I can see about this show right now.

But yeah, I think I'll keep watching. I love shows where there's an unravelling myster over the course of a season, and this one seems interesting enough. I think I missed my chance to match names with faces, though. OUtside of Michael Schofield(Wentworth Miller's character), I don't know who's who. I love that Peter Stormare's trying to do an American accent. It's quite comical, because most roles, you can't get him to shut up, and his accent comes out, but on Prison Break, he has very little to say.

That one dude must have really loved his b****, because he cried like one when he got killed during the riots, and now he's waiting to get Mike.

Michael (the main character) needs Abruzzi (the mafia-type guy) when he gets out because the guy has resources. Now Michael needs some leverage against Abruzzi to get that help so somehow Michael found out where Fibonacci, a mob informant, is hiding, but he says he won't give Abruzzi the information until they're out of the walls.
So there's no true connection other than Michael just needs to guy as part of his escape plan.

Micheal need the mafia guy John Abruzzi to get him a new id for Linc and himself. Mike has information on a snitch that Abruzzi needs to save his kids. The older brother was framed for killing the vice president's brother. So Mike is going to break him out.

Thanks guys! Next weeks episode looks pretty cool. I'm a die hard '24' fan and i think this show is ranking close to (but not quite) as addictive as 24 is. I can't see how this show will be more than one season long-it seems like a bit much to drag out this whole 'escape' plot longer than 1 season....but we'll see.

Enjoy next week's show since I believe all Fox shows take a two week break for MLB Playoffs after it. Boo-urns.

Anyway, the season only has 13 episodes and that was episode 6. So 7 will be the conlcusion which leaves 6 more until the Prison Break might actually happen. Fox hasn't mentioned about extending the season or even when the episodes might air. It would suck to wait another 9 months until the second season. House and 24 are supposed to air on Mondays starting in January then there is also American Idol taking some timeslot space.

The short of it...

Michael breaks the AC in the prison making it very hot for all the inmates which leads to a riot...things are out of control as the guards try to contain the riot. The prisoners in sickbay hear of the riot and take out the one guard in there and go after the doctor...she locks herself in another room and that's where she remains at the end of the episode.
T-bag, the guy who caused the riot, takes a guard he helped beat up into Michael and Sucre's cell and accidentally finds the escape hole they have in there. Before he can tell anyone what he found, Abruzzi grabs him and tells him he can't say anything. Sucre and Michael come out of the hole and find Abruzzi there with T-Bag and the injured guard... of course T-Bag wants to included in the escape or else he'll yell out what he found... then of course you got the problem with the guard there.

Also, Michael finds out that Sara, the doctor is in trouble and is on his way to help her at the end of the episode.

I like the tension and the pace of the series. I know a lot of people didn't give the show a chance cause they thought it was "Slow"....but with each episode...the **** has been hitting the fan larger and larger.

Is it me, or does the guy who plays Lincon have a buff guy's head on a normal body. He head is massive, he has the jaw of a boxer and a really muscular neck, with small ears. His shoulders should be about 3 feet wide, but they're not. It's weird.

I know I shouldn't, but I think T-Bag rules. He's pure scum who should never have existed, yet he has this psychotic charisma to him.

And though she's kinda plain looking, I think the doctor is pure sex.

However, I found out after November sweeps Prison Break won't be coming back till May, FOX picked up the back nine of season 1, but don't want to change their schedule to put it on during the winter, which really sucks. Drop Nanny 911 or Wife Swap, maybe 4 hours of American Idol a week instead of 5. That's gonna be a looooong frickin' break.

Another great episode, loved Abruzzi and Michael teaming up to take the Mafia guy out of the equation while at the same time Abruzzi taking the picture as an insurance policy. Another prisoner joins the escape team, I wonder how each of these prisoners will escape their cells, obviously Michael and his cellmate have the sink, but what about the others they really can't use the same method without tipping off their cellmates. Another question is how the VP will explain all the money she has for her campaign, that's gotta be documented.

No, his death probably won't have much of an impact on the show, but thought it was worth mentioned seeing as this is a thread about the show.

Last night's episode was pretty damn good though, it looks like T-Bag isn't gonna make it out of prison with a little help from Abruzzi's boys. However, I'm not so sure it's gonna be T-Bag, just seems way to obvious for this show, there's three likely suspects, Michael's cellmate, C-Note and T-Bag, none of them are bringing something to the table, so they're all expendable. A really good twist would be for Michael's cellmate to be left behind, he's been portrayed as the most likeable so far.

That would be a great twist, though he doesn't bring anything to the table, he is the one who help Michael out to begin with. And he's not going to be trouble on the outside.

T-Bag's reason for being inside has been made more than obvious. If he gets out, he's a danger to everyone. But C-Note, (That's black guy right?) we don't know why he's there. He's could be just as bad as T-Bag. Although, if he were a murderous paedophile, it'd be known by now.

And did anyone else think the Doctor better than ever last night? That scene where she saw Michael with his "Wife", I don't know, she looked beautiful. Mmmmmm, subtle beauty.

(And Holly Valance looked the best I've seen her. Never been into her that much, but last night, with the dark hair and sexy accent... Phwoar!)

Abruzzi was killed by T-Bag. Abruzzi was planning on killing T-Bag, but T-bag had a small razor hidden in his mouth and slashed Abruzzi's throat.

Back in the fall it was annouced it would return in March and the week before the new epiosde they would reair the 'prison break' episode. I don't think the break out, its going to take a few more episodes.

Also tonight is the CONTINUATION of SEASON 1. Not Season 2. The finale will be May 19th (I believe). With all 22 episodes of Season 1. We are on Episode 14 tonight.

Things to look forward to:

Michael has a "break down" that causes him to have a time off from planning the great escape & Fernando takes over.

A new inmate enters the prison which adds a whole new conflict.

Information taken from interviews with cast:

Season 2 will have follow Lincoln and Michael on the run and uncovering the conspiracy as well as following the other inmates that escape (one will die this season) on what happens with their life outside the bars.

Such as, following Fernando get his girl back. Abruzzi saving his children. Etc. But, one character will die, so all this is subject to change.

This episode will introduce a new convict that is going to stand behind Lincoln on the electric chair. Definitely going to be creepy.

They will DEFINITELY escape by the end of this season. And in season 2 the ink of the tatoo, I don't know how, will come more into play.

I love the show, it keeps me on the edge of my seat, BUT, I thought it was a little corny noone from the towers saw Michael exit or enter the sewer system. Aren't there patrols of the grounds done? Are none of the C.O.'s not supposed to notice the footprints in the snow around the sewer cap or how it was obviously slid off the manhole? I mean some could say the fresh snow covered it, but that much? Again, I love this show and I'm not bashing it in anyway, I just tought the writers should have "covered their tracks" so to speak. By the way, the show just got kicked up a notch, Ray Luca (Crimestory) is their father. Man this is a great show.

Pretty interesting episode tonight, cool to see how everyone got where they are. Just wish they gave us updates on the when the events happened, seemed almost like everyone went to prison at the same time as Linc. I really didn't see Dr. Tangreti being a junkie, that was a shocker. Really liked seeing how Michael got the idea for the tattoo.

Great episode tonight, but next week's pairing of PB and 24 looks incredible! I hope Lincoln escapes on his own followed by Michael following the plan. We haven't seen much out of Dominic Purcell and having him escape on his own would be great for his character.
