Kitty's face in both parts of the pic is something I will amend before I consider this final, just waiting for more pics of her to pop up that look right (the face is the foreground is worked from a screencap from the trailer). Also remember, she is meant to be over 20 years older and had a tough life :)

Hey everyone, Inspired by the creativity that Wobbly displayed in re-creating the imagery of the classic Xmen Cover for the Film-Verse, I was thinking It'd be interesting to do a little Manip Setup. If we all narrow down about 5 of our favorite and more visually interesting Classic Xmen Covers, we could have a choice of 5 different ones to manip from and see what we can all come up with. It'd be a nice thing to just support one another on and work together on.
Specific Scenes from the books is also acceptable if you have the scan available.

Hey everyone, Inspired by the creativity that Wobbly displayed in re-creating the imagery of the classic Xmen Cover for the Film-Verse, I was thinking It'd be interesting to do a little Manip Setup. If we all narrow down about 5 of our favorite and more visually interesting Classic Xmen Covers, we could have a choice of 5 different ones to manip from and see what we can all come up with. It'd be a nice thing to just support one another on and work together on.
Specific Scenes from the books is also acceptable if you have the scan available.

I'd do it in the films style: In comic style Byrne's cover is perfect as is (imo).

I worked directly over the original cover only altering the layout to make Logan look taller than Kitty. For Logan's body I took some photos of myself wearing my old bomber jacket and a pair of jeans and worked with them over the original cover. For Kitty it was pretty much all 'painted' over the base cover (using a wacom). All the faces were worked from photos.

The only thing I can say I drew in the traditional sense is the Baxter Building in the bg (penned an outline that I filled in with textures from the rest of the city bg after scanning). The character figures were a mix of photo manipulation and wacom 'painting' (it is still drawing but you are doing it all on screen via the tablet and have a lot more options to play about with).
