It kind of looks like a birds eye. Thats kind of the way I see it, kind of a trans-metamorph between the human and the phoneix.

We are not suppoed to be arguing with Comic Queen! It has been requested MANY times to stop. And, as suggested, if you dont like what she posts, just block here. Someone posted a few pages back that she is a member that has been banned in the past for this same reason. I think the best thing we can do is block her and report her. I hate seeing these posts fill up with people attacking eachother. I, for one, dont like her either, but I am not going to fill up a thread with this!
Now ... back on topic.

But I am looking for one that has both of her eyes very apparent in it, not just one being the main focus. :D And not with her face filling the whole thing.... like just the center of the wallpaper being her fiery Phoenix eyes and the rest of the wallpaper like a dark maroon or black with the faint appearance of flames throughout. Just an idea. :D

And while this is not a subject of grammar, it's a matter of usage. Laughs riotously doesn't really work. I mean, it can work because riotously can me boistrous, which is without restraint laughing, but it's typically meant a negative fashion -- so unless you were deprecating yourself, I'd change that to uncontrollably or what not.

Definitely a good start. Images in the back are utlized well to convey a sense of insantity while the foreground image contrasts with a sense of calm. You're working with what you have and are doing a good job doing it.
I LOVE what you did with the "men" and turning it into 3. However, I wonder if it's too much WITH Logan's "three" claws. Also, I'd like to see the fire reflected in the shiny silver of the logo -- it stands out and isnt a part of the whole picture right now.
But that's awesome!

Considering you are working with limited resources and low res images, this is sheer BRILLIANCE. I've always admired your artwork in the Artwork threads and to make an appearance here is a long needed drink of water.
You manipulated the fire and other images together well and the logo work looks originally made instead of a paste job from the poster. Flames are excellently placed, I dont' get the idea that you are "overdoing" any of it.
The setting and tone is cohesive and most importantly it's a wonderfully creative conceptual. I can't see much at all to ***** about other than the res of the pictures and that's not your fault but again Brilliant with what you had to work with.

I did the original of this pic two years ago (was in a more comic book style and you can see that at my site) and here is the updated version designed to look more realistic that I made a couple of months ago (note the background phoenix effect was adapted from a neat design I saw on a book cover):

though...the helmet opening is a little too close, to that of magneto's, for comfort. Unless he joins Magneto and Mags, knowing how to block mental attacks with his own helmet, crafts Jugg's for him....twould be killer :o

I think the poster is more effective without the "She Will Rise"...
If you've noticed, alot of the X-Men movie posters have been very mysterious and without taglines...Just like with the X3 teaser poster..
I'd expect more of the same in a look, so that's why that tagline seems a bit out-of-place..

X2 actually did have a couple of teaser banners similar to that with close-up side shots of multiple characters on a banner with only their names at the bottom...Not one of them had a tagline either...

They are somewhat separated in the variated banner that's on my desktop...
It seems just as effective either way...
The thing they probably had to notice was that the main X-Men roster consisted of six characters, whereas the Brotherhood had only four, making an even separation on a poster not as capable..

I had an idea for a Phoenix inspired teaser poster, but I'm nowhere NEAR talented enough to make it. I was wondering if you, Laz, might be able to come up with something seeing as your work with Phoenix is so fantastic. Here it is, I hope it makes sense:
It is completely black except for at the bottom there is a body (Jean) crouched down in the fetile position (but on her knees). We may not even see her face. The poster is black, but her body is glowing somewhat and there is steam coming off of her (sort of like water was just dumped over something really hot). On the bottom it could say "she will rise" or something.
I don't know if that makes any sense, but if anyone would be willing to try I would be greatly appreciative!

I like the concept; however I think the eyeball needs to be displaced a bit away from the claw. It looks like the claw is ripping out the retina and blood is seeping from the eye. It's making my skin shudder. :(

Moop, that looks awesome. It's a shame that the costuming people couldn't have a different vision. Maybe gold or bright blue isn't the way to go with a franchise like this, but the uniforms could stand to be a bit more exciting. Right now they are so bland and boring to me.

Now heres the reverse of what i said about Moops cyke pic.
I don't think Iceman icing up in that pic looks awesome, purely because of his pose and facial expression, the frost does look cool though.
