hey I was thinking of entering the fan art competition. The task is to make a sidekick or redesign one for a character. I thought I may aswell use the Colossus I've been working one so I made some alteration and a few variations. Please can I have your comments on which looks the best out of the four.

We still would have had wimpy Rogue. It's in the writing not the actress. The actress just delivers what she is given. Any problems with Ms. Paquin would be directly from the writing in the script. If she was written strong and confident I'm sure Anna could portray it with ease, she's one of the most talented of the X-Cast. Hell, in my opinion she is the most talented of the younger actors of the X Cast.

Just fed up with the 250 layers i had to haldle and put on any logo i found available. I dont think the professor will notice that, she just wants to see if we can use photoshop properly

I do many mistakes because of fast typing.
The problem with tExt layers in photoshop is that u need to W A I T a lot before u edit them and sometimes u miss some things

believe me i went through them again and again, i would never see them. i got sick of the project the past week

About spelling. the woman that delivers the laboratory lessons for it, cannot spell correctly a word in proper english. i can't tell u how awfull she is, i call her "Kreate" -with tone on 'a' and u read it as if u were german. that's her way of spelling the word 'create'. so i think that correcting these mistakes would be useless :hyper::hyper:

No, I honestly prefer Natalie Portman with straighter hair. Besides, even though comic Rogue has curlier hair, it's very long. I would recommend trying to use Julia Roberts' (as in Pretty Woman) hair for Rogue manips.

At least, that's who's hair I would use if I had the faintest idea how to do these great Rogue manips!

I dont think julia's pretty and sweet face could give the fans the wildness in expressions that rogue demands. Although im a big fan of julia.

im not a fan of that diamond form.. i think it looks tooo chunky... maybe if it were actual sized crystals... basically scale down the pattern alot... plus diamonds arn't grey.. there clear.. and even white

I think its a really good attempt but like the ice manips for iceman, diamond is almost impossible to get right in photoshop due to it being transparent and so it refracts and reflects light at so many different angles. Im really liking what im seeing so far with the emma manips but to do it properly much better software is required :)

I think we ought to reiterate here (in case the owner of that manip returns to the Boards), Angamb's Phoenix manipulation is actually a manipulation of someone else's work. Unfortunately, we do not know who was the original creator of this masterpiece, but whoever they are, we give them full credit for the beautiful original.
Angamb has successfully managed to recreate the image so that the firebird is bigger and complete (half of it's left side is missing in the original)

Just bringing this up, because I don't want to see any arguments over ownership of work.

the jubilee pic is beautiful.. but the effects on her and rogues pic... sometimes come off like there on a glass window in front of them, the effects arn't hi-res lookin enough

Yeah, I always have problems with getting good resolution. That's my biggest problem. My computer often goes wacky, so when I take screen shots it turns out all wrong.
Also, on the Roge wallpaper, I tried to add an effect to it, but that didn't work out well, and thus, it looks like a a window is infront of it. I'm trying to work the kinks out of everything. I've done a lot better wallpapers... now I just can't figure out what kind of designs and layotus to use.
