Batboy I really liked the manip you did, of elisha cuthbert as emma frost. I had maggie grace in mind for her but elisha is also another good choice.

Meanwhile I made a fairly simple manip of Gambit with Josh Holloway as Gambit. Looks okay I guess, I have him in the X suit for now but Im gonna try and make one with his brown coat that he wears.

I think this is a very neat idea, the head is a bit too big like you said, but I think that should be an easy fix :up: The real face kind of makes you ignore the fact that the rest is comic, or vice versa, it fits well.

Here's a tip on "selecting objects" in PhotoShop.

At the top of the taskbar (http://img82.imageshack.us/img82/4672/zzzsh5.jpg) , go to SELECT, then FEATHER (http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/9420/zzuv0.jpg)
Depending on the size of the selection,enter a number. I usually go with 1-3 for smaller selections,4-10 for medium ones,and 11+ for the larger ones. You'll just have to expiriment with the numbers
Then,do whatever you want,and your selections wont be as jagged/rough.

Also,try not to feather the selection too much(use too large of a number) or it'll look less natural.

Hey XMENfreaq remember Psylocke doesn't always have the 'scar' (Crimson Dawn mark). Here's the manip I did for the AoA competition where she doesn't bear the mark.

What I find works best with storms eye is to use the clone stamp tool and then the healing brush to smooth out the rough edges rather than using the paintbrush and changing the opacity :)

i've gotten the best results with the soft light brush. i continue to expose it with a white soft light and then put the finishing touches with a normal brush and then darken the eyes a little to make them look more natural. i did one yesterday that came out really good but its no a different computer so ill upload it later. here's a pretty good one though that i did:

What I find works best with storms eye is to use the clone stamp tool and then the healing brush to smooth out the rough edges rather than using the paintbrush and changing the opacity :)

The way I do Storm's eyes is I usually cut them out of a picture of her with her eyes already white, then paste them onto the picture I am working on and smooth it out with history brush so it looks realistic. Just incase you are looking for any ideas. :)

Basically you just get the normal picture. Duplicate it and fill in the eyes. Duplicate this layer around 5 times. Work down the layers lowering the opacity by about 20% each time and erasing a little over where the pupil is to that in each layer the eye becomes that bit clearer and closer to the orinignal. Move this over to imageready and arrange the layers. Sorry for such a vague explanation.

Erm this is just a guess but at the top of the screen where it has file edit ect there might be one that says Window like in photoshop. Open that up and there could be options like "Brushes". In photoshop if you click on that the the brushes panel will show up.
