Thanks guys! Sorry for putting the bit about casting in there, but I've noticed that a lot of people have been posting excellent manips, that have been blasted for having a casting choice that some don't appreciate. I think it's really unfair

Yeah, it's Elisha. She's not the world's best actress, but she is beautiful. I'm not totally happy with the manip yet, I need to experiment with some heads, and find one that suits the body better, but I loved how the whole poster came out so much I had to post it. Not finished yet though by a long shot! There was another one, but I wasn't as sure about that.

well shes my first choice but i want other people,i like charlize but from her work so far,shes a great actress but to me she is kind of bland,if she was in a more villian type role,she also seems(IMO)too innocent for emma,i may like her more if she was in a more 'evil/cold' role,but s ofar,no

yes. during an interview near the time of superman returns start (and i believe sigourney was there as well) he stated that He was going ask Sigourney to play the part and that she was going to be an old flame and colleague of xaviers with telpathic powers including empathy and that she would take part in Jean's transformation into the Dark Phoenix. Now that I think of it, I would have loved to seen that since it's similar to Emma's character in the ultimate comics.

Production intended for her to play the part of Emma Frost/The White Queen. When she found out the role was no longer available, she jokingly told them to write her into Superman...

I would have liked to have seen Weaver play Frost, as I think she would have done an excellent job portraying the character... the only flaw in my mind is her age... but with Weaver's acting ability and stage presence, I could care less. The character suits her and she looks great for her age... and she looks good as a blonde. Oh well. I'll be interested to see her in Cameron's Avatar instead.

Here are some pretty good pictures of Weaver as a blonde, as well as a picture of her in the movie The Ice Storm, in which she is dressed somewhat like a variation of the White Queen save for the fact that everything is brown instead of white.

Thanks. I definitely think she’s older than the way the character has been portrayed in the books, especially now. I look more toward the presence of the classic White Queen (not so much the recent depictions of Emma Frost).

Also, I can’t think of many young actresses who can convincingly play a woman who is both a successful business woman/headmistress/seductive proprietress who can also hold her own against the likes of Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart… all the while convincingly manipulating Famke Janssen’s Phoenix.

Of course, this is a casting suggestion that I liked back in the old days of X-Men 3. I don’t know how well it would work now, given that the Phoenix arc is finished. I would still be interested in seeing someone of Weaver’s caliber play her though.

They spent a lot just for that scene so I doubt they would've been able to airbrush Weaver in every scene. But I think that wasn't the point, they wanted to cast her because they were going for an older version of Emma.

I think it would be genius to see that. Have Emma as a ruthless business woman and old flame of Xaviers isntead of just some sexed up whore with big boobs (would've liked to see that though). I think it adds more of an interesting twist to the plot and reveals more about Xavier's background. THey did do this to Emma in the ultimate comics somewhat.

the only new, main female characters that were added was Page, Dania,

so, that leaves Dania

and Dania just pretty much filled the hotness that Kelly Hu was in x2

so, there really wasn't any more sex bombs, in this one then the last

Batboy, I just want to say that if you want to make a manip, try and put more effort into them. You have some potential but I don't really like seeing a bunch of quickies or work in progress stuff over and over and over again. Please, take your time and then post the final result. Even Angamb now is taking his time with his stuff and he has improved alot.

and as for MaleRogue, just about every 'manip' you do is basically a copy of something some one else has already done. I have tried to encourage you to make manips in the past but now i'm starting to regret it. You have just not improved at all and all your work is so below average. Either keep practicing and learning or just stop.

Seriously, I'm not trying to be mean here but I think it needs to be said and I'm sure I'm not the only one who agrees. I love seeing other people's manips and I like seeing more and more people getting involved but not when everyone just keeps doing the same Emma manips. I mean, this is one of the reasons why manips in this forum aren't taken seriously.

I think that's Neto's main point. Some people ADMIT their work isn't finished but they don't bother to fix it and move on. Instead of making 20 similar manips, focus on one and it might turn out great. That's how you learn and get better. I've said it before but good manips take time.

i actually did remove the backround,made the edges smoother(which is what the person told me to do)and i tried to add a little shadow on the neck,but that didnt turn out too good,i think i used the burn tool

Exactly batboy...that's a work in progress...the fact that some people say they aren't done with what they post, or they say they don't like it, or they say they did it really quick, or they say it's not their best...what's the point?!? Painters don't put out artwork that isn't finished...they don't put out art and then sit next to it and say..."I don't actually like this one at all" or "This only took me twenty minutes" or "This is definately not my best :( " It's just pointless and when I've looked at the past twenty pages, the trend has been to dump as many manipulations of the same character with different bodies and heads within the same photoshoot...there are two people on here specifically that have become the "old-school Angamb" (No offence to Angamb) It just ain't right.
