The problem with iceman is, if he were really made of ice in the films it would be so hard to pull it off using cgi because ice is see through or frosty white at best not blue. The best thing they can do with him is to give his skin a bluish tinge. Im glad they keep him as he is.

No, in the X2 suits everyone had different colored piping in their suits.

Cyclops - blue
Jean - Red
Rogue - Green
Wolverine - Orange
Storm - Silver
Bobby - White (although Bobby's uniform wasn't really tailored for him)


Rogue's green piping is very hard to see because it is a dark pine green. Same with Cyclop's blue piping. In the hi-res images you can see the color but again it's faint. Her buckle was black not Green so I agree someone added color to that part.

guys dont you think it would have been easy for them to show him as translucent or something not an ice figure/mancovered by substance like collasus but kinda see thru ghost like but show shimmer/glare on skin to duplicate a frost effect. i cant see how this would be expensive at all.

They didnt even have to do it on his whole body just face and hands..as for an ice slide they could use glass or copy some of the effex invisible woman/sue storm had when using her force field in Fantastic Four....

I've seen decent effex like this on scifi shows on the wb and scifi channel with much smaller budgets all it takes is a little imagination and willingness to do it...

like the Beast wall, it's a manip of the official promo and screenshots from the teaser. The problem with these promos is that their friggin heads are cut off, so I have to take their face and put them on a different body shot. Wait, til u see the Magneto wall, it's a combo of pics from X1-3.:) I've been having so much fun doing these wallpapers that I'm even gonna do other characters like Sabretooth, Toad and even Sen. Kelly. So stay tuned...

I personally think this would look great in the movie. Colossus is all metal he looked awesome. Johnnt Storm as Human torch in FF looked awesome as well. So i think all the iceman fans are eagerly awaiting his full on ice mode.

This is more how I see them doing the effects. A really light, frosty layering of frost. It will look so much better on screen than a complete covering of ice.

Here's a manip I did of myself as an X-Man :o, it ws harder than I thought and if your monitor is too bright then it will look really crappy because mine is kind of dark and I couldn't work very well on the dark parts of the suit. Also the only pic I could find of myself not smiling was that one and the quality isn't very good plus I'm wearing a cap :p, I tried to put an X on the cap but it was too hard.

Yeah, that's true. But they'd have to be a damn fine maniper for it to look real and not completely laughable.

I really like that manip/animation of Bobby icing up. I don't think it's necessary for the film, but it looks cool none the less.

You did a great job with the suit :up: , I also had some problems with mine because of the neck, it had to put something black there, like Cyclops's costume that has some kind of protection suit under the uniform. I'll try to find a pic with better quality and see if I can make a new manip, I'm starting to hate the one I made.
