at least thats something. I'd probably lose the straps to make it look more like a top. And maybe a slit in the skirt. Oh and don't forget the white stripe.

wow. I never thought the leather uniform could look good when turned into Psylockes costume. The edges of the leather do look a lil too sharp but whatever, you did a great job.

This is one of the better Scarlet manips I've seen. If you wanna try doing the face plate thingie, use parts of Magneto's helmet. That could probably work for ya.

I do it this way: duplicate the character layer (ctrl + J) then select it (ctrl + click on the layer) then paint it all black. Now transform it (while selected, right click with mouse and choose "free transform".) to have your correct position. Set the layer blend to Multiply, then lower the opacity, then apply Gaussian Blur. Voila. At least that's my process.

Got bored..did a very simple HELLION. It looks like a simple headswap and piping coloring...which basically it is, except there are only BLACK AND WHITE pics of Jesse Hutch so I had to color his skin too lol so that was a pain in the ass, but i'm okay with it.

My advise would be for darker background, if are using photoshop you can use a soft brush on the edges of the flame. You can add shadows by copying the figures and turning them black and use as shadows.

Thank you to everyone for your ideas and advice. I'm actually working on an entry for the competition that I am (so far) really happy with. It needed some fast alterations, as the original was using Elisha as Rogue again, but I managed to correct it and use Anna.

Kitty's the best. Definetly. Love it. And the background is very good. Storm isn't bad, and Rogue.... more or less... you could improve the streak. Again, really liked Kitty.

I like it with Jean better as well but she looks a little too big for that chair. Maybe try making her smaller (use the legs and feet to see where she should 'stop' lol)

whats wrong with it?im sorry,but i really hate it when people dont read the whole post,its happened a few times to me and alot of others here,i said it was the rough version,i added all the details on the final one which i think came out pretty good.and yeah i know he is hairy but i have no patience for adding hair on the body and i wasnt gonna use a pic of hugh,its no fun,you dont get to manip anything really,theres a reason why i picked that body too,thats why i had trouble finding both bodies because i wanted them facing each other,but i wanted wolverine looking back,its supposed to be a little joke(not really funny though) of when cyke tells wolverineto stay away from his girl,now wolverine is doing the same,but with deathstrike,i always liked them together.
i also forgot to mention what the chinese letters mean(yeah i know shes japanese but it was a nice touch)

According to the contest rules, yes. You can use the character if you use the same actresses who cameo'd as them.

well considering i've actually had photoshop classes.. and the teachers always say "those who rely on filters to do there art, hardly know what there doing with photoshop" ;) and you kinda proved that by even saying "it makes things easy for me" and "it blends things to look better" in other words, it covers up your mistakes ;). why add that hidious filter anyway? it hardly looks like a "cartoon" and takes away from the pic what could be very beautiful. trust me, your work will look better without it

see this already looks much better. only things i'd really work on are logans face (he looks kinda pale in the face), and i'd feather and blur the edges on everyone but emma, because they look to crisp to be real, and i know its difficult to do, but jean kinda looks like shes standing rather then flying, so i'd try to move her legs together or something to look, more like a flying postition. I'm also sorry to come off rude to you, but sometimes you seem pretty stubborn, and commented on someone saying they can't use the cuckoos yet you put natalie portman as rogue. I know theres contest rules but you kinda sounded as harsh at time too ;) I enjoy giving advise, just not when someones to stuborn about hearing whats wrong with there work, thats when i get harsh

batboy99 I agree with spideyboy_1111, the manip looks better without that cartoon effect. This way it doesn't look like you're using a cheap trick to hide the flaws. If something doesn't look perfect, you should try to fix it not cover it up.
