This is really for Eric J 451, since this is pretty much the only thread he ever posted in when he visited.
I don't think it's a good idea for mods to discourage actual published comic book artists from posting at the Hype; it's not like there's a lot of them that care to converse with us fans here.
For those who don't know, Eric J (http://www.ericj-art.com/) is co-creator of Rex Mundi and artist for the first 13 issues.
Rex Mundi is a quest for the Holy Grail told as a murder mystery. It is a tale of sin, murder and redemption in an alternate-history Paris where magic is real and the Catholic Church never lost its grip on power.
The first 12 issues are available in 2 TPBs.
Rex Mundi Volume 1: The Guardian Of The Temple

Rex Mundi Volume 2: The River Underground
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/1582404798.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg
Get these two TPBs and you'll be all caught up to start picking up single issues with #13. Issue #14 is not out yet and will have a new artist, Jim Di Bartolo.

I've been a fan of this book since issue #0.... arguably the most intelligent comic out there.

And I think CTOAN got me into it, so I'll give him the props. Thanks Oscar.

I'm probably going to get the trades even though I have the books.
It's an awesome series thus far. Eric J once told me it's a limited creator owned series ala Preacher which will run its conclusion after 35 or 36 issues.

I remember reading Thefourthrail's "Down the Line" Previews thing, on #14 (that was solicited, right, maybe #13) and they said how De Bartolo is a great artist. Based on the cover to #13, I didnt dig it too much, but now Im a little more enthused.

And you just take that away from me. I bet youll be thanking euroq once you read and enjoy Age of Bronze. That hurts me. On the inside:(

If they decide to ban me, well, c'est la vie.
I've been here for more than five years, and I've said & discussed what I've had to say.
The only things that keep me here these days are as follows...
1) Hearing about new comics from the guys that have earned my respect as far as comic book knowledge is concerned (you know who you guys are)
2) The potential CountDown thread for Spider-Man 3 which will start around 530 days prior to May 4th, 2007.
3) The enjoyment that I get from the conversations with yoda, CTOAN, Jake, Lackey & euroq in the Rex Mundi thread. I like the man-love.
To the former four in that list, I've sent you my email address in that PM I sent you the other night. In the event that they do ban me for all the cussin', then please... keep in touch. Put your user name in the subject so that I don't think it's spam.

I think it's time for someone who can still talk to the mods without exploding in rage or provoking them into action to pose a query about tivo, last testament to our previous brilliance, in the support forum.

you know, i daresay that Rex Mundi 1 was our longest thread ever. I had 43 pages, and i think Im on 40 posts per page. Outside of DTL, we were the longest thread here (the same went for the Daredevil forums). It seems the mods would rather have these forums dead than popular:(

Nah if I get my feelings "hurt" I'll just leave like I did yesterday it's only an internet message board. And you might know me on my other name as Green Arrow where I just acted like an obnoxious ass for 3 months  Anyway I haven't read any comics in a while except TMNT Vol. 1, which was good but over-rated. While I really felt for the characters, I felt that a lot of it needed one good re-write by an experience writer, it's great for a first time writer and comic book writer but the way people write about it, I suppose I was expecting better, but at the same time I loved it if you get my drift. I especially love the whole Micheangelo and the cat storyline. I rewatch the movie and though it's very similar to the comic book, it falls a couple of notches below greatness. I think I'll pick up Rex Mundi Vol. 1 and 2 since it'd only cost me 20 bucks and you guys have been raving about it for like ever.

We can still talk Sith... :)
The Tivo thread can still be brought back, if the right mod is asked. My shaved genetals thread was put there once by some ignoramus, but that was a rare gem that had over 1000 posts and STAYED ON TOPIC.... (unheard of in Community), and Truthteller brought it back. I should look for it... it's probably gone again <sigh>.
The problem with recreating the Tivo thread is that we'd lose all the classic stuff that was tivo'd previously. In all honesty, there's not much worth tivoing around here these days, so if you can't get the old one back, why bother with a new one? It'd be filled with fibber jokes. :(
The deletion of the old thread was my fault. I logged into this place last Monday or Tuesday night, only to be faced with a PM from Princess ****Face or ManWhore or whatever the hell her name is... telling me to go vote for some chick in a hottie poll in Community. I lost it. I apologized later, but she went and created a link in Community to the old thread, and a mod found it, shined his or her badge, and deleted it. Based on recent (and older) comments, I'm expecting a banning.
Oh well.....

Alea Jacta Est.

That's one of the first scenes from the pilot. I'm sorry I though you already knew there was a plane crash on an island.
And there will be a second season. I guess you didn't watch the finale but it had a hell of a cliff hanger. There's a preview for the second season here (http://www.sourcefour.net/lost/egg_promo.swf) and it's spoiler free.
I'm not sure if I'm going to get the second season of Arrested Develpment right away or wait a bit for it to go on sale. I picked up Seinfeld and Arrested Develpment together for a killer deal I might wait for that.

Even if its spoiler-free, Im not sure I wanna check it out. When does it start up? September? 24 DVDs usually come out like two weeks before the next season.
Wonder when season 4 is coming out, too. Hopefully, itll be this year, along with a season 5:)
And I finished arrested development season 1 like a day before season 2 premiered, so it was perfect timing. I suggest you pick it up right away so yu can watch season 3 on TV:)
Although, its airing on Mondays at 8, and while I generally dont do anything then, I only hope i can keep up with it:o

Sigh, I don't understand why you can't understand why this thread will cause problems.
Why would it cause problems? The point of this thread (and the initial one) was to talk about one of the arguably BEST comics the medium has seen in decades. One of the creators of Rex Mundi, Eric J, posted in the old trhead on occasion, and since it's been deleted (unfairly), we've come to his creation's rescue and made this one. Because DESPITE the fact that on occasion, threads go off topic, it's still here for people to actually discuss, much like in the old one, where Rex Mundi was talked about every time a new issue came out (which is about every 3 months), which can explain a lot of the "in-between" issue banter.
Now, as happened in the original thread, SOME people who continually posts inane prosaic tidbits in Community decided to pass off what they deemed as "exemplary worthyness" of their genius into the original Rex Mundi, which happened to upset a few oldbies who had decided that the original Rex Mundi thread was a much greater place to communicate than in Community, where they had once upon a time reigned and MADE IT A GREAT PLACE TO POST, until the trolls & spammers invaded. You've been here one year less than I have Dew... you KNOW how great Community once was, and how white bread trash it's become. And it's not my job nor other oldbies to save it. We'd rather post in a place where we all AGREE that Rex Mundi is a terrific comic, as well as other topics "du jour".
I agree that things were said (specifically by me) when the aforementioned "SOME people" entered our little world. It's bad enough they wrecked Community... now they wanted to do the same to a great thread. I openly admit that I got angry and I said some nasty things (that were prohibited according to SHHype rules), and I still said a few things because those actions led to the removal of a great thread. As mentioned before, you've known me for 4 years, and you know that I've always spoken my mind, specifically when I get angry about something. I've always been lenient and as non-judgemental as possible. (I'd like to think that you would agree with this; otherwise, you then really don't know me at all :( ) I apologized in the old thread for my initial rant, but that still led to the removal of the thread, by somehow implying to Community that some "secret club" existed....... as if!!! The few of us who continually post together in Rex Mundi (because we all love this comic) are nothing more than old comic book nerds who have nothing better to do than talk and share with each other the things that make us nerdy (Comics, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Misc. DVD's, Star Wars' toys, etc...) Are we to be punished for that? Then you have over 20 000 registered members guilty of the same thing.
The few of us who continually post together in Rex Mundi enjoy this little world much like the people who continually post in Community, or the Games Forum, or the RPG Forums, or the Spidey Forum, and do not post anywhere else. If this thread will alledgedly cause problems with certain posters, then I'd suggest you look at the certain posters as opposed to the thread. Because it exists for the same reason why all these other threads in all these Forums exists... the fact that Rex Mundi is such a great comic, the thread simply needs to be here.
Cheers... :)

Again, this is the reason why this thread exists.

That is not my issue, themanofbat, and you know it. My concern is the "not banned yet" and the "Ha ha we are out smarting the mods" sort of comments all throughout this thread which give the appearance that this thread is a "Secret" thread and that encourages others to make their own. I have had to clean out secret threads in no fewer than seven other forums, and those ones were not made by old time posters like yourselves whom I can trust to remain respectful. They've been banned now, but there are always three more to take their place.
However, the whole attitude in this thread and in the other is that you guys are getting away with something and the last thing I need is some jerkwad spammer to come over here and complain that I am unfair, and biased towards you guys.
That said, I don't mind the thread. You are good posters for the most part and while you are all quite opinionated and ocassionally judgemental and harsh, I know that you are not in here plotting the "war" on some other lame ass faction just to cause trouble and get your post counts up.
And, to be honest, I am a little hurt that when this became an oldbie hang out, that no one invited me. I am abandoned in the middle of the newbie turmoil of chaos, clinging to my last shred of sanity and trying to keep things from becoming a powder keg and a little grown up talk would have been nice.

note: somewhat in reference to your PM, Dew, which at the time I didnt have time to answer
It should be noted that the main intent of the original Rex Mundi thread was always to discuss Rex Mundi. Hell, not one of us who still posted there by the end created that thread. It was made by someone who was interested in the book. The conversation eventually evolved into a thread for the posters who, you know, regularly posted there. Even then, anytime any Rex Mundi news came out or EricJ, the artist on the book, posted, we always discussed the main topic. Like all of our "secret" threads, the conversation eventually evolved into such (although I guess this one kind of doesnt count). It was an easy way to keep in touch with the few regular posters we enjoyed on the website. Its not like we said "Ok, lets make a thread that no one will find so we can avoid the mods and anyone else." Yes, yoda made a joke early on in that thread, something like "I smell another secret thread," but it really was a joke, somewhat in reference to our other "secret" threads, all of which were in open forums, started with a main topic in accordance with the forum.
Granted, we do always say "secret thread" and are somewhat hostile to other people in this thread, but its basically pretty much open to anyone. Anytime anyone wants to say "Hey, what's Rex Mundi about?" or such, I think we've discussed it, and people like Watchmen have entered the thread without any of us going "you're not allowed." Ill admit, ocassionally we act cliquish, but mostly, its how we would act towards those posters anywhere in the forums.
And most of the time, our comments on avoiding the mods, not being banned, being apart of a "secret" group are in jest. Like I said, ocassionally we become cliquish (like near the end of the last thread), but come on, Princess Mangina came in the thread for the sole reason of trying to be part of a clique, not to discuss Rex Mundi, or join in whatever the conversation was currently or at one point about. Or who knows, maybe she came in there just to be annoying.
Yes, you're right, we might have asked you if its ok, but like I said, its not like we planned on making Rex Mundi our thread or something. Its also somewhat why we never invited you. Not to be rude or anything, but because we havent really invited anyone. Themanofbat, euroq, Watchman, kypade, Movies205, all just stumbled onto the thread and started posting. While we may joke about this being our "secret" thread a lot (and I know, a lot), I certainly don't think we act as such in our discussions.
This is essentially the only place to discuss Rex Mundi in these forums, and it just happens that we are the only ones to read the book. I dont think its that different from the Spider-Girl thread in the Spider-Man forums, or the former Street Fighter thread in Image comics forum. They too had a regular group of posters and Im sure have gone off topic at times.
second note: I dont know how to end my argument

Latest Rex Mundi newsletter..
R E V E L A T I O N S
The Rex Mundi Newsletter
30 May 2005
Welcome, Dear Reader, to the latest edition of Revelations, the Rex Mundi Newsletter. I'm Arvid, Rex Mundi's writer, and I'll be your guide for the next few minutes. It's been a long time since we sent out one of these newsletters, huh? I don't even know where to begin, so much has happened... I'll just start with the important stuff first.
Artist EricJ leaves Rex Mundi...
I guess this is the first thing I should bring up, since Eric's been writing the newsletters up 'til now. Yes. Sadly, EricJ is moving on to other projects. It's hard for me to wrap my head around because he's been a vital part of Rex Mundi since near its inception. For a long time Rex Mundi was just the two of us, toiling all by ourselves, and what he gave to Rex Mundi can never be taken away. I think my editorial in Issue 13 says it best, so I'll leave it at that. Fortunately, you'll still be able to get your EricJ fix. Eric's drawing a story for Moonstone Books called The Revisionary (http://www.moonstonebooks.com/revisionary.asp). It's coming out next month. Also, check out his website (http://www.ericj-art.com/) for breaking EricJ news. Eric, old friend, so long and best of luck -- not that you'll need it!
...Enter Jim Di Bartolo!
After a few false starts and no small amount of frustration, Rex Mundi has a new artist! I'm so proud to announce Jim Di Bartolo is taking up the pencil. He's an amazing artist, different from Eric to be sure, but just as talented. Jim has done a lot of work for White Wolf (http://www.white-wolf.com/), the RPG publishers who unleashed Vampire: The Requiem and Werewolf: The Forsaken on the world, amongst other things. Jim also drew The Drowned, an original graphic novel from Image Comics, Rex Mundi's esteemed publisher. Jim's art for The Drowned (http://www.thedrowned.net/) sold me on his skills, and the work he's done for Rex Mundi has been absolutely astounding. So while I'm sad to see Eric go, I know Rex Mundi is in great hands for the future. Jim, here's hoping we finish the entire series together! Expect a little interview with him in the next newsletter.
Latest Issue: Rex Mundi 13: The Lost Kings
The story: Julien discovers a geometric riddle hidden in plain sight on the streets of Paris. The key to the puzzle leads him into the deepest danger he has ever known, quite literally. Meanwhile, a minor aristocrat frustrates the Duke of Lorraine's sinister plans. Lorraine will have to find a way around--or through--the problem. RM 13 went on sale in March. Your retailer might still have a few copies on hand, so look for it!
13 features a cover by Jim Di Bartolo, Rex Mundi's new artist. Also, a few people have mentioned they miss the past-issue summaries in the beginning of the book. I apologize, Dear Reader, for the oversight. I spend so much time thinking about Rex Mundi I sometimes forget the story isn't quite as fresh for you. I will definitely include the summaries in all future issues from now on.
Trade Paperback #2: The River Underground in Stores Now
Yes, TPB 2 was supposed to come out in March, and it didn't hit the shelves until last week. Thanks for being so patient, Dear Reader. As usual, circumstances beyond my control conspired against me. The important thing is it's out. Get it at your local comic book shop, and if your retailer doesn't have it you can get it at amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1582404798/ref=pd_sim_b_1/103-3132652-3742250?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance) amongst other places. Hats off to our new printer, Quebecor! The printing was excellent, really captured the darkness and moodiness of Jeromy's colors without loosing any of Eric's lineart. Note the updated Rex Mundi: Europe map on the inside front and back covers.
Rex Mundi #14: Most Beloved in Stores September
The story: Genevieve becomes more deeply entangled in the dangerous game she's playing with Julien and the Duke of Lorraine. Julien descends into the blackest depths of the catacombs beneath Paris for a horrific confrontation. And at last, the true identity of the Holy Grail is revealed...
Issue 14 is Jim Di Bartolo's debut. The pages are all drawn, and I must say it looks spectacular. Don't miss this issue, Dear Reader! This one has it all.
But yes. September. Alas. I wish it could have been sooner, but things didn't work out. The good news is Jim and I are on great track for keeping a healthy, active publication schedule once 14 finally comes out. In the meantime, please hang in there, Dear Reader. I promise we'll make it worth your while. Keep talking us up with the people in your comic book store, let em know Rex Mundi is still out there. Word of mouth is the best kind of advertising we can get. It really helps us when you spread the word, so thanks for all the help so far.
Killer 7
I have been busy, very busy, Dear Reader, working on other projects. Most promising to date is a comic book version of Capcom's upcoming PS2/Gamecube game Killer 7 Killer 7 (http://www.capcom.co.jp/killer7/english.html). Killer 7 looks totally amazing. Very dark, moody cell-shaded graphics. A complex, political plotline with lots of twists. In the game you play an assassin named Harman Smith who can transform at will into seven different alter-egos, each with unique skills and weapons. Think about The Usual Suspects or any old-school John Woo movie, that's what the game is about. It has a cool 70s feel to it, very violent. The game comes out next month, the 7th I believe, and expect the comic sometime early in 2006 - when I have more information, I'll let you know.
Donations to UNICEF total $150
From December 26th to March 31st, all sales from our online store went to UNICEF (http://www.unicef.org/) for relief for the victims of the Asian Tsunami. Thanks to everyone who bought from us during those months. I'm going to make the donation an annual event.
That's it for now
And I promise the next edition of Revelations will be more timely. Don't forget if you're missing a back issue of Rex Mundi you can get it on our our online store (http://www.shrunkenheadstudios.com/index2.html?store.html), and drop by our our message board at Image Comics (http://www.imagecomics.com/messageboard/viewforum.php?f=9) for fun, comic book geekery, and leftist palaver.

But seriously Dew, we didn't invite you because we aren't really invite-people. This isn't so much an oldbies hangout, as the others describe it, as it is a hangout for a few people who can still put quality posts on this board. "Quality" being a loose term, describing anything from in-depth discussions on comics and TV shows, to baby bottoms and the baby paste that comes from baby bottoms. If it helps make you feel better, even if we were the sort of people to specifically invite others, we probably wouldn't invite you because you're a bit of an insider, one of them. A suit. Ya know? We'd be afeared to speak our minds with big sister running a camera. I mean, I guess that probably doesn't make you feel better, in retrospect. But I think you understand.

Well, as mentioned before, they're really joke comments. You can't have a "secret" thread in an open forum that is accessible to everyone. Nonetheless, anyone who wants to post in here can ease up on those types of comments (hopefully).
However, the whole attitude in this thread and in the other is that you guys are getting away with something and the last thing I need is some jerkwad spammer to come over here and complain that I am unfair, and biased towards you guys.
Well, the life of a mod is a perpetual dealing with jerkwad spammers & trolls. And if you look at the majority of the posts within either thread, they're pretty clean and nothing more than geeky fanboy/girl talk. And speaking on my own behalf, I've received a few warnings from you in my day, and some of the others have been on probation, so people ought not worry about any biasness on yours & SHHype's behalf.
That said, I don't mind the thread. You are good posters for the most part and while you are all quite opinionated and ocassionally judgemental and harsh, I know that you are not in here plotting the "war" on some other lame ass faction just to cause trouble and get your post counts up.
Terrific.... now that the whole debacle has been put to rest, hopefully we can move on. :)

By the way I've noticed that R2 is severely underrepresented in the giant Episode III advertising entity. We've got Yoda stealing Diet Pepsi, Vader trying to hook up with a sugar daddy, and Chewie recording cellphone ringtones. Chewie's in the Diet Pepsi commercial too. Where's R2? Everybody knows that R2 is the most appealing Star Wars character:mad:

REX LIBRIS #1
By James Turner.
"I, Librarian." The astonishing story of the incomparable Rex Libris, Head Librarian at Middleton Public Library, and his unending struggle against the forces of ignorance and darkness. With the aid of an ancient god who lives beneath the library branch, Rex travels to the farthest reaches of the galaxy in search of overdue books. He must confront incredible foes, such as powerful alien warlords who refuse to pay their late fees. Wearing his super thick bottle glasses, and armed with an arsenal of high technology weapons, he strikes fear into recalcitrant borrowers, and can take on virtually any foe from zombies to renegade literary characters who are in the public domain with aplomb.
24 pages, $2.95.

Pffft, its totally different. One, Rex Libris has a real library, as opposed to a high school library, where Ayn Rand books are filled with pornography and the only Ray Bradburry book in the entire school is soaked in urine. And two, Rex Libris is a real librarian, as opposed to Rupert Giles, who's too big of a pussy to touch a computer and gets his ass kicked by anything and everything:rolleyes:

Court: Patients May Not Use Pot Legally
Jun 7, 12:44 AM (ET)
By GINA HOLLAND
http://ak.imgfarm.com/images/ap/SCOTUS_MEDICAL_MARIJUANA.sff_CABM105_2005060615292 8.jpg
Angel Raich inhales vaporized marijuana at her home Monday, June 6, 2005, in Oakland, Calif. Federal authorities may prosecute sick people whose doctors prescribe marijuana to ease pain, the Supreme Court ruled Monday, June 6, 2005, concluding that state laws don't protect users from a federal ban on the drug. Raich is one of two persons that sued then-U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft, asking for a court order letting them smoke, grow or obtain marijuana without fear of arrest, home raids or other intrusion by federal authorities. (AP Photo/Ben Margot)
People who smoke marijuana because their doctors recommend it to ease pain can be prosecuted for violating federal drug laws, the Supreme Court ruled Monday, overriding medical marijuana statutes in 10 states.
The court's 6-3 decision was filled with sympathy for two seriously ill California women who brought the case, but the majority agreed that federal agents may arrest even sick people who use the drug as well as the people who grow pot for them.
Justice John Paul Stevens, an 85-year-old cancer survivor, said the court was not passing judgment on the potential medical benefits of marijuana, and he noted "the troubling facts" in the case. However, he said the Constitution allows federal regulation of homegrown marijuana as interstate commerce.
The Bush administration has taken a hard stand against state medical marijuana laws, but it was unclear how it would respond to the new prosecutorial power. Justice Department spokesman John Nowacki would not say whether prosecutors would pursue cases against individual users.

(AP Photo/Dino Vournas)
In a dissent, Justice Sandra Day O'Connor said the court's "overreaching stifles an express choice by some states, concerned for the lives and liberties of their people, to regulate medical marijuana differently."
The women who brought the case expressed defiance.
"I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing. I don't really have a choice but to, because if I stop using cannabis, I would die," said Angel Raich of Oakland, Calif., who suffers from ailments including scoliosis, a brain tumor, chronic nausea, fatigue and pain. She says she smokes marijuana every few hours.
Diane Monson, an accountant who lives near Oroville, Calif., has degenerative spine disease and grows her own marijuana plants. "I'm going to have to be prepared to be arrested," she said.
The ruling does not strike down California's law, or similar ones in Alaska, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Vermont and Washington state. Besides those states, Arizona permits marijuana prescriptions but has never instituted a program to support them. In Maryland, people accused of violating state possession laws can present evidence to a judge of a medicinal use of the drug; the judge could then lower the punishment to a $100 fine.

It was business as usual in the medical marijuana shops in the wake of the Supreme Court ruled that people who smoke marijuana because their doctors recommend it to ease pain can be prosecuted for violating federal drug laws, overriding medical marijuana statutes in 10 states. (AP Photo/Dino Vournas)
However, Monday's ruling may hurt efforts to pass laws in other states because the federal government's prosecution authority trumps states' wishes.
John Walters, director of national drug control policy, defended the government's ban. "Science and research have not determined that smoking marijuana is safe or effective," he said.
California's law, passed by voters in 1996, allows people to grow, smoke or obtain marijuana for medical needs with a doctor's recommendation. Monson and Raich contend that traditional medicines do not provide the relief that marijuana does.
California has been the battleground state for medical marijuana. In 2001, the Supreme Court ruled in a California case that the federal government could prosecute distributors despite their claim that the activity was protected by medical necessity.
Two years later the justices rejected a Bush administration appeal that sought power to punish doctors for recommending the drug to sick patients. That case, too, was from California.
California Attorney General Bill Lockyer said Monday that "people shouldn't panic ... there aren't going to be many changes."
Local and state officers handle nearly all marijuana prosecutions and must still follow any state laws that protect patients.
"I think it would look bad if the federal government focused its prosecution authority on a sick person," said Daniel Abrahamson, with the Drug Policy Alliance. "Individual patients growing for their own purposes have not been the targets of the federal authorities. We hope that it stays that way."
The government has arrested more than 60 people in medical marijuana raids since September 2001, according to the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws.
Congress could be the next stop for the debate.
While there are other legal options for patients, Stevens wrote, "perhaps even more important than these legal avenues is the democratic process, in which the voices of voters allied with these (California women) may one day be heard in the halls of Congress."
Still, even supporters say it is unlikely Congress would pass a law allowing physicians to prescribe marijuana.
O'Connor was joined in her dissent by two other states' rights advocates: Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist and Justice Clarence Thomas. While conservatives may not necessarily support medical marijuana, they have pushed to broaden states' rights in recent years.
O'Connor, who like Rehnquist has had cancer, said she would have opposed California's medical marijuana law if she were a voter or a legislator. But she said the court was overreaching to endorse "making it a federal crime to grow small amounts of marijuana in one's own home for one's own medicinal use."
Thomas said the ruling was so broad "the federal government may now regulate quilting bees, clothes drives and potluck suppers throughout the 50 states."
The case was hatched when Monson's backyard crop of six marijuana plants was seized by federal agents in 2002. She and Raich sued then-U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft, asking for a court order letting them smoke, grow or obtain marijuana without fear of arrest, home raids or other intrusion by federal authorities.
They claimed protection under the Constitution, which says Congress may pass laws regulating a state's economic activity so long as it involves "interstate commerce" that crosses state borders.
The case is Gonzales v. Raich, 03-1454.

Nope. They never finished tabulating the votes for the 2003 Hype Awards, and nobody even bothered with 2004. Just as well, with the new crop of asanine posters on board these days, there's really nothing worth awarding.... so it would turn into this silly random nominations of no-name posters for the catagories when the real winners would be the the old school crop of posters that're too dumb to go find other internet hobbies other than this place.

So Buffy season 4 doesn't really have a real season finale. If anything the finale is the episode before the last episode. The last episode is a funked-up beyond belief dream sequence ep, and its probably the most disconnected (yet grounded)ethereal stuff I've ever seen. Way f***ed up. It was kind of disappointing as Buffy's season finales are usually like, best stuff on television-caliber, but the ep was really well-done, showed Whedon was amazing yet again, and I kind of get the feeling that they put it at the last ep of the season for a reason unbeknownst to me.
So nobody who casually shows up here (i'm looking at you DBM) spoil anything related to it:mad:
