regarding the 3rd x-men film, what would you ask for w/ the newest film? personally, i'm sure they've got their hearts set on another wolverine based explosion flick, but still... a guy can dream, can't he?

i'd say this... character over cheese. story before celebrity demands. the x-men are a TEAM, not a one man show. and god, please god... no more mystique or magneto... they weren't in EVERY x-men story.

X-Men 1, 2, and Spider-Man 1 and 2 made so much cause they were GOOD.

If I had to choose between the chubby Rat and the chubby Moore. I go with the Ratner. But please oh please get Zack Snyder or Francis Lawrence or Tony Scott or Alex Proyas. Either of those guys have an actual vision and could do the job. I was skeptical of Vaughn by the way. In my heart of hearts I knew he wasn't the guy for the job. He was putting down Singer's work every chance he got. The sure sign of lack of confidence. Put someone's work down to make yourself look better.

Also don't go whacking three major characters. Kill one and make it count. Make it resonate to our very core's. Have Wolvie bang a crazy Pheonixed-out Jean Grey. And make Rogue lose her powers by absorbing Phoenix's. Thus, Rogue could get down with Bobby (icicle dick).

Follow my simple recipe for success. Cook to a boil for about 3 to five months and release for consumption next November. Voila, you will have a tasty, uber succesfull X3 stew.

to hell with FOX AVi get your properties and move them to a studio that cares. FOX is ****, and will destroy the xmen franchise. Spin it all you want, F4 looks mediocre at best. the sets look cheap and lazy, and the Thing is sub standard. Batman Returns looks great, from the tv spots to the trailers to the posters, while F4 looks like its been put together by junior high school kids, and i may be insulting some of them kids by saying that. Marvel has had miss after miss, and most came from FOX. avi please don't let marvel be tho one to ruin the comic genre again.

If you are so intent on screwing up this thing, why not go all out and make it a spoof. It can't get any worse, and this film is looking to be laughable, so why not go for broke? Hire Mel Brooks (I've been saying this for a long time) and go for the laughs. At least you'll get some money out of it. I mean look at all those sophmoric teen horror film spoofs out there. They rake in the cash. Look at the talent you have. Ian and Patrick playing it straight, for laughs. Halle? Hugh? Marsden? Comic gold right there. You could have musical numbers, spoofs of other super heros included within, hell, you could even have the audience sing along, ala Rocky Horror. It is the wise thing to do my friends.......

*NB* The above was meant in jest, lest any of you think I am serious. It is early morning here, and after reading all the reports and posts and the like, I felt a bit of levity was in order. Again, the above was not, and I repeat not meant to be serious.

Meh, I'm still weary about another X-Men movie.

Yea, certain things in the COMICS could happen to allow for a 4th movie, but what happens in comics isn't always good in film. The story has been wrapped up. I don't consider a couple shock value scenes to be justification for a new movie.

It's not pessimist, it 's common sense, and i agree with them.

There is no point of making a X4 when X3 was the end of trilogy, and doing a reboot is just not a good idea, whenever most broader audience think this was the last X-men film for quite sometime. I don't think 6 or 7 years will make a difference either. I think it would take 20 -25 years quite sometime before ever making another X movie, and to get most broader audiences interested again.:o

It took about 7 years to get the general audience interested in Batman again, after the horrible B&R. The general audience actually liked X3 a lot. And I don't think it's common sense to assume that because X3 was bad, X4 is bound to have the same fate. well it is part asumption on my part but don't be surprised either if it's not just assumption. My mother was one of the general audience and never picked up a X-men comic in her life, watched X2 and later when X3 came out and actually hated X3, and i had some friends who were just broader audience that liked X2 but hated X3 because they thought the story and main characters being killed off ruined the movie franchise, and said they didn't expect a sequel, and if there was a sequel they wouldn't bother.

most people who use the friends argument actually say they liked X3. The best word to describe the reactions on X3 is mixxed. Not hated, not loved, just mixed views. I guess X2 is the only film of the trilogy that most people agree on being great.
