I think they should've chosen a better black guy as the black ranger... this guy seems a bit goofy for a super-suave spy... and they gave him some wack powers... And the show is now CLEARLY targetted at 3-8 year old boys... but rated "Y7" which shows a lack of care in production.

They have cool costumes (morphed AND not) but this press release dosen't make me happy... even though they have an Indian pink ranger as I'd hoped...

I think that you mean the actual actor and not the character, because I don't see anything goofy about the descriptions that have been given. If he's a super-suave spy, doesn't his powers make sense? In Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder (Tommy's and Trent's didn't) as well as in Mystic Force, the powers all had some reason and had a connection to the rangers.

Yeah that site got all the theme songs on it.
I read that for OO all the stunts are filmed and the actors started filming this week as they do very little stunt work they can film 3 episodes in one day. So we might see some promos soon.

You've heard wrong. Everything is filmed at the same time, which started back in October and won't end until April. They can't film three episodes in one day, no show can do that. It is true they film multiple episodes at one time, but most of it is just simply waiting around; something most actors complain about. In fact it take about three months to complete one episode. So when shooting is finished, the producers are still working on the show for many months later.

Editing, voice acting, special effects, replacement dialogue, reshoots, the whole works. I know the voice actors don't do their VO until little ways down the road. I was in contact with Geoffrey Dolan (the voice of Koragg) and he didn't know the way the story was going in May, way after the episodes were filmed.

Same here, even though MMPR was my first PR season and I was there when it first came out, after I saw TF I thought, this is the best PR season I have ever seen and still is.

I think that's the reason new Sentai starts in February. Gekiranger starts on Feb 18th. PROO starts on Feb 26.

I believe Goranger (the first Sentai series) started in Feb, 1975.

Jack's actor was unable to be a part of the team-up, but was originaly slated to be in it. It's not really random. Forever Red was pretty much for the pre-Ninja Storm rangers, while this one is more for the post-Wild Force rangers, while still staying connected to the seasons previous to Ninja Storm.

Red, Blue, and Yellow are the only colors that have been a part of every Power Rangers team.
The Japanese Super Sentai series regularly switch between male and female Yellow Rangers. This was confusing to some fans in the beginning, since the Super Sentai featured a male Yellow Ranger, while the American series featured a female, as yellow is considered feminine in some Western cultures. Thus, women were traditionally cast in the part for the Power Rangers adaptations regardless. Kimberly's comment, "Nice stereo", when the Rangers enter their new Zords, is reminiscent of the first thing she said upon entering her original Dinozord, in the first episode of the series.
When aired on certain television stations, the movie no longer retains it's original title, "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Movie". It has since been reduced to "Power Rangers: The Movie" to prevent confusion from younger viewers who didn't grow up with the original series. When actress Gabrielle Fitzpatrick (Dulcea) fell ill, she was replaced for several weeks by Mariska Hargitay. But when the crew felt Hargitay was not right for the part, she was fired. Watched the new Sentai Promo. Even though I don't really like the suits all that much, I'm somewhat looking forward to it. The major theme this time seems to be old traditional martial arts. And the background music so far wasn't too bad either.

I have a really bad feeling about this. It would suck if Disney had to cancel the live action franchise many PR fans such as myself grew up on and loved in the first place. Just hope it's worth watching though.

I'm not into anime, the last one that I watched completely was the Sailor Moon dub. I have watched some of the American anime like Avatar: The Last Airbender, and it wasn't something that made me want to turn off the TV because the storyline was decent.

Power Rangers was already in anime form as Gatchaman back in the 70s. The show was actually on before sentai but it had all the same elements. 5 team members with different colors and they transformed into their suits with devices on their wrist.

In 94 they made an OVA and the fight scenes were pretty damn good. I'd love to see them do a new one.

Yes, Gatchaman was a strong influence for the sentai series. "Jetman" (http://www.toei-video.co.jp/DVD/sp21/jetman.html), the 15th sentai serie was actually an hommage to "Gatchaman", sort of an unofficial live version.

Another two-part unofficial live version, "Bird Soldiers", was recently made by independant studio "Zen-Pictures" and a sequel is already on the way.

The music is good, but the so-called rapping ruins it for me. As a big fan of rap music I feel it like I have been violated. That is no rap it's not even worth calling crap. This type of music and PR do not go together. I thought Disney would have learned their lesson last year. I can't believe they turned down Ron Wasserman who is a much better composer over this stuff. Who the hell is authorizing these atrocities?

So what does everyone think of this rumored animated PR. With the right team behind it might be cool. Give it a nice voice cast. Maybe get a few of the older actors back for it. Might even get JYB. Maybe disney could make it the next Kim possible. I mean that in qulity sense. That kids and adults might enjoy it. But I do fear the thought of losing the live action show in the process. If Disney decides they want only one PR show.

OO has had lots pf promos now for the red, black, blue rangers only so far.
And there is a behind the scene thing on this week in the US.

The guy who's playing the Red Ranger this season actually seems to have a pretty cool personality off screen if you watch those Rangersecrets videos.

I see after Overdrive they're going back to the 3 Ranger format. Also, I don't know if anyone cares, they've been showing Time Force on PR Generations; which I guess is great being that they never really show Time Force episodes.

It's a shame when a song is so bad that not even a professional can defend it. Seriously, Power Rangers used to have the Rock Music to pump you up. This doesn't pump me up at all. Is this really what Disney thinks the current generation kids are into? Whoever chose this theme should leave the industry forever. When I first heard the Dino Thunder theme I liked it so much that I kept rewinding my tape over and over again. Same thing with the SPD theme. I wonder if there will ever be another theme that I like so much.

And get this I like both rap and rock, but I like rap more, but even I think the rap and PR don't go together. This is not even rap. I don't know what to call it. Nas is right. Hip Hop IS dead.

There are a lot of reasons. You have the fact that perhaps there was too much merchandise sent or ordered, the fact that its older (kids like the latest thing), or the area just really doesn't have a big Power Rangers fanbase. There are other factors as well that Christmas just ended two months ago, which for a lot of children mean new toys will be out of the question for a while.

I don't think Amy Jo is at all attractive. I will admit I did back in the day, but that was before we had a bajillion pink rangers. Since then we've had Kat Hillard, Cassie Chan, Kendrix Morgan, Karone, Dana Mitchell, Jen Scotts, Syd Drew, and Vida Rocca. Personally Kat, Karone, and Syd are my favs.

Same here SPD was the last good season, well only had MF after that but MF sucked.

SPD started off great but it got weak towards the middle of the season. We had storylines that were dropped before we got even halfway through the season and they didn't pick up until the season was almost over. Examples: Cruger's Wife, The A-Squad, and the Magnifence(I know I spelt that wrong). The girls got hardly any character development. Such a shame. This could have one of the greatest season of PR.

As for MF this was even worse than SPD. Anyone who wasn't named Nick got ditched in the character development. The episodes with the ten terrors were rushed because they took two Magi episodes that had a lot of fight footage in them and made them into one MF episode. Instead of bringing those Tribunal guys from Dark Wish back in the finale, they bring in the Mystic Mother, who was never before mentioned.

I think one of the problems is that they're being a slave to Sentai. They use plots from Sentai so much that the characters' personalities would change in between episodes depending on which episode they were using. Like Sky his character went from HUGE ASS to slight ass and back between each episode, depending on whichever better fit the episode's plot. The same type of deal goes for EVERYONE in SPD.

Vida is another example. One episode she's being the tough girl, the next episode she's all calm and cool, and the next episode she's back to being tough again.

Mystic Mother had a purpose though. She was supposed to be a cameo/homage of another character and she served her purpose.

They are not a slave to Sentai. If you look and see what they've done through the years, it's everything but that. S.P.D., yeah they were. Mystic Force? Not so much. I rather enjoyed Mystic Force for the most part.

Just about every episode of MF used a plot taken from Magi or similiar to the plot that was used in the Magi episode they were using footage from. We got

Back when Sloan was executive producer we had mostly orginial episodes with only a few plots from Sentai. They didn't start relying on Sentai so much until Kalish came aboard.

Yeah it was a short conversation scene in a bar where she was sitting with another college guy and was being interviewed by Sam. It was definitely her.

The theme song is bad lol the rap is bad, the chorus is ok. But its not as good as others.
