Depending on the type of movie, that's an extremely low budget. Given that Power Rangers would be an action movie requiring loads of special effects, $30 million isn't that much. Spider-Man 3 cost nearly $300 million, for example.

But at the same time, how much of that budget was simply paying the actors? They weren't exactly cheap actors and it wasn't filmed in New Zealand. Also Spider-Man was completely original, a lot of things for Power Rangers isn't paid for and they hardly go out on location like Spider-Man did (which they have to pay some kind of fee to do a lot of city shots).

So why is it cheap?

- No SAG
- No voice acting union
- Cheaper labor
- Limited city locations
- Pretty much non-US talent
- A lot of in house editing/music/stunts/etc
- Shot in New Zealand
- Sentai footage
- Recycling talent

Also you cannot compare SPIDER-MAN to something like POWER RANGERS. It's really apples and oranges.

Man i cant wait to see if any more photos from the team up specials go online any time soon. I cant wait to see what the Son will look like too. Disney better not be cheapping out and just taking a sentai monster from the current season adapting and call it the son, which they dont plan to use episode footage from. I hope they make an all original suit/creature for the son. Also i hope the team up has a cool episode titles.

CGI Zords look God awful; no matter how the special effects may be. Just look at DinoThunder for example. And the MMPR:TM as well. It just doesn't work. Its funny how small cheap toys and cardboard boxes enlarged to make it seem lifesize works better.

I was thinking more like a Movie series, than a TV Series.
If you have a bigger budget, then you have the ability to film better fight scenes and better graphics.

The cheesy graphics was apart of the appeal, and the fight scenes were fine as they were. Great real martial artists/gymnastics in the original cast.

It would be more like a reboot, with Jason, Billy, Zach, Trini, and Kimberly.

No one is going to accept a re-cast of those classic characters.

That would still mean they're basically pissing money down the drain. Stargate SG-1 cost about $1.5 million per episode the last time I checked, and they easily have much better special effects in 44 minutes of original content every episode, as opposed to whatever fraction of 22 minutes each Power Rangers episode has in original content.

Someone didn't pay attention to Dino Thunder.

Doctor Oliver stated pretty much two reasons why the rangers were what they were. Each Dino Gem chose exactly who would be that ranger and the only way to take the gem away would be to destroy the person. So other than the power being drained from them, there would be no way to transfer powers. And even if they were depowered, as History showed, the gem would bond with its original owner as long as he/she was still alive.

Probably a little bit likelier, given that Sixth Rangers have been completely American-created before, but I still don't think anyone on the production side is really interested in changing the status quo of the sentai formula. Even when they do, it's practically forgotten in an instant. Charlie from SPD was only in like 2 episodes, wasn't she?

Outside of her, all you've got are Time Force's Jen, who wasn't a particularly good leader, and the Alien Rangers' Delphine, who was so long ago that I don't even remember what kind of leader she was. Plus, the male Red Ranger was still always front and center for both of those groups, since the sentai itself still had their respective Red Rangers as the leaders.

Tommy would pwn Jen on any Rangerboard poll. Tommy wasnt the greatest but he was a better leader than Jen was. Jens emotions got in the way and by the end; Wes was calling the shots and she was following.

Tori was the weakest member of NS played by an actress whos voice hurt my ears. Kira was a total poser.

Karone was awesome mainly because she ran around in that tight leather outfit; outside of that she didnt contribute much.

Vida was annoying and androgenous; shes prolly the least liked member of MF with the majority of fans.

Trini was cool but the least memorable MMPR S1 ranger.

Taylor was annoying and had major pms issues; like the whole WF cast (the males sucked that season too)

Kendrix was a weakling.

Syd > Z but neither of them had close to any focus all season; so I cant even gauge their characters. Sky, Jack and Bridge got most the episodes by a longshot....wonder why.

I honestly didn't think Time Force was all that great, myself. I liked it, but it doesn't stand up to the likes of Power Rangers in Space, which is still my favorite PR series ever. Also, I wouldn't call it the last great PR series. I thought Ninja Storm was mostly good, except for a few elements. Mystic Force wasn't bad, either.

I think the Wild Force Rangers first appear briefly at night, before Cole joins them. But with Dino Thunder, the final battle of the premiere is a full-on night battle, complete with zords and everything.

Also, maybe it's just me, but I find that the best fights in Power Rangers shows tend to be from the American-made episodes. Adam's fight scenes in "Back in Black" during PRiS, pretty much everything in "Forever Red," and several of the Battlizer sequences are way more awesome than the majority of the Japanese footage, I think.

Yeah, the American fight choreographers were quite good, and Jason, Tommy, and Adam were all excellent martial artists in real life. Eric from Time Force was impressive, too.

None of the actors are required to have training, however a month of training is given to them before production.

Well, that just seems stupid. PR was never meant to be the pinnacle of drama. Acting came second to skills that could sell the physical action aspects of the show in the earlier seasons, and that's the way it should be. PR is an escapist action show for kids with a little bit of drama thrown in for good measure.

Tommy would destroy Jen in an unmorphed battle since Jen's unmorphed fighting skills werent that tight; she got her ass beat by cyclobots, Nadira (when Wes saved her) and brutalized by Ransik unmorphed in the 8th episode and more. Her best skills lied in her strategizing and ordering around; despite alot of her plans failing.

I still liked Jen comparively speaking, to the other female rangers but she really lost her edge when she fell in Love with Wes. Wes totally stepped over her from then on out and became the team leader and she stood back and took his orders.....despite him being a civilian. Her emotional instability was her weakness.

Still.....there havent been any female rangers that rank anywhere close to the badassness of Jason, Tommy, Adam, Andros, Eric, Wes, Sky etc probably because they still handle the show like a male-driven show aimed at boys.

Saban Entertainment was sold in 2001, during Time Force. He did sell all of his company as well as his stakes in Fox Kids and Fox Family to Disney, Rupert Murdock (owner of Fox) also sold his shares to Disney. The only thing that Disney didn't acquire was rights to all of the music to the shows they purchased, therefore Saban gets royalties to the music each and everytime a MMPR Productions episode is aired, meaning its not cheap to Disney to air old episodes.

No, Tommy came back for Power Rangers Dino Thunder. Power Rangers Generations is just what Disney started calling their reruns of previous Power Rangers episodes. It's not one particular series, it's just reruns of episodes from throughout all of the series in the show's history.

Hey guys i just wanted to inform u gots on some info i found out reguarding the team up episodes. I looks like Rita/Zedd son is going to be called Thrax and in part one will be bringing villains that will take the OO rangers powers away(probably using a villain from all the Disney era shows with the son being one for Adam) and the sential knight guy will be recuiting the retro rangers to defend the earth from the villains. And part 2 will invovle mack getting captured while trying to recover a Swoard which will lead to most liking the OO batlizer. sounds interesting i reall hope they are not just adapting some Sentai monster from the current season for the son it would be great if it is a orginal creatation. Well i just wanted ot post this news for people to hear i dont know how true the info is thought.

TF did have a great opening and ending as well.

TR did have a great ending as well, I haven't seen all the episodes have seen most there are some in the middle I missed.

I loved, loved, loved Time Force and it is one of the best season ever and Disney's Power Rangers CANNOT beat Time Force.

Time Force has dark, excellent epic, drama and intense violence. One thing that pissed me off that Disney EDITED/CUT out some scenes from some episodes. I'm so frickin' pissed. **** you, Disney and **** FCC.

Good another TF fan, TF rocks great season the best and great characters, especialy Jen. TF showed different emotions from the rangers as well like revenge and hate and you don't see that a lot now.

But I have to say I really like Operation Overdrive at the moment lol I just think its cool.

If the geki series does only end up with 4 rangers they will probably make up another all american/NS ranger to have 5 in total to be simular to other series with a chance of a possible 6 ranger too but my guess is they will probably make up another one to have the normal 5 ranger amount.

Yea hopefully, maybe they will drop that pizza shop idea and have them working at a karate studio or something. Hopefully that season will be more martial arts/karate themed liked mm was. Also man i cant wait to the 23rd for the teamup episodes. I hope they are good. Cant wait to see adam in action again. I really hope they are not cheaping out on us and jsut adapting either a sentai monster from an episode they arent using the episode footage from or that 30th teamup guy. I hope they make an all orginal look for Rita and Zedd's Son(Thrax). U know something along the lines of having an ekoskleton like zedd and maybe sliver/grey hair like rita had. Also i really hope he has a wand/staff like they did.

well ok i dont know much on gekiranger series i do know there is 3 main guys now and a 4th purple one coming and a possible 5th that is called chopper or something i think was going to be a copper color or something. But i havent heard anything for a 6th one on that show.
