I always wondered how many more years will Power Rangers last?
hm... well it is super sentai's 30ths anniversary. next year is Power rangers 15th. man... as long as theres super sentai there will be Power Rangers... i hope it would last another generation

Question for anyone that has seen Mystic Force Dark Wish & the Sentai Mystic Force.

In Sentai is there any Character that ends up related to the Tribunal Of Magic like that Store Owner the Rangers works for forgot his name in Mystic Force Tobey or something like that. I have not seen Sentai but that was completely out of the blue when the Tribunal Chick turned to one of the other Tribunal Guys & she said a relative of yours when they were watching Tobey & then he said something like We did what we had to do. Anyone know whats the relation there ?

The Tribunal's members are not related to any characters at the moment, and if they were it wouldn't be Tobey who hasn't shown any magical powers or anything of the like. The white member was possibly referring to the black member about Necrolai. This would imply that (1) the Tribunal isn't entirely unbiased, (2) we might see them more, and (3) there is a relation to the black member and Necrolai.

I just finished watching S.P.D. courtesy of downloads, and dang, I really really enjoyed it. I loved the cast and the concept, the action was...."explosive" (:D), and the tension between Jack and Sky all season was truly great.

My gripes, however, include: the complete uselessness of the Omega Ranger, the rushed Ally "storyline" (if you even can call it that), and the lameness of the Delta Squad Megazord (those scenes were more tedious than fun).

Other than that, as I said, I loved the cast and I'm actually kind of sad that it ended. :(

The A-Squad twist was really awesome, and I was really glad to see that they turned to Gruum's side not because of some evil spell or brainwashing, but simply out of their own wants and greed. That was a nice touch. And that battle between the two (A-Squad and B-Squad) was pretty sweet. I wish Kat had got to be a Ranger more, seeing as how I really loved that character.

There could never be an animated series using the original actors. Thuy Trang (Trini) died in a car crash almost five years ago. I would think that an animated series would be great, but it would need to take place at various points of the series' timeline in order to fill in some gaps in continuity. Sort of like "Clone Wars", though I was never a Star Wars fan. Good examples would be the war between Zordon and Rita, the adventures of the Alien Rangers, the original holders of the Quasar Sabers, the adventures of Andros and Zhane previous to Space, prequel to Wild Force including the great battle and the adventures of the first four Wild Force Rangers (Taylor, Alyssa, Max, and Danny came before Cole and Merrick in that order), the original S.P.D. rangers, and the great battle involving the Mystics. There's more but you can get the picture.

It wasnt that big but he talked in some scenes..................it was like when it was a dramatic scene he would be there and people would think why the hell are you here. Actually, I haven't seen Time Force yet. I'm in the process of downloading it. Many regard it as one of the best in the series (right there with Space).

I stopped watching Power Rangers regularly after Lost Galaxy. I got back into it with SPD (which was great) and I'm currently watching Mystic Force (which is meh) and I'm downloading and watching Dino Thunder (which is great so far).

Time Force- this is meh for my. I didn't hate it, but i really didn't like it. im not a person who likes time travel or future type show all that much.

Wild Force- ... ... ... in my opinion--THIS WAS THE WORSE POWER RANGERS SEASON EVER!! there is no F***king way this was good. they had like 50 zords--WTF? the ONLY good thing from the show was seeing Forever red. We saw Tommy(i'll mention him again later) Andros, and of course the man himself--JASON!! the first red ranger. that episode was hella kool.

Ninja Storm- after so many bad seasons came Ninja Storm, and let me tell you, this show was GREATNESS. it was funny (in which i mean corny just like Mighty Morphin - turbo was) yellow ranger was a boy, blue ranger was a girl. it was different. a breath of freash air. i loved Ninja storm.

Dino Thunder- i didn't think Dino thuder was gonna be good... boy was i wrong. we had tommy, another WTF moment. i loved cast, theme song was awesome. yeah, there were some things i hated like the white ranger first being bad then turning good... where have i seen that before? hmmm... hmmm... oh wait-- the very first green ranger, who just happened to be tommy, was just like that! OMG! (it was also used for the blue and red rangers for Ninja storm)

S.P.D- Power Ranger? Cops? known IDs? :up: you see, this show made it work. i may not like future shows, but this wasn't that far in the future. and you can never go wrong when the red ranger is black(not about race, i just thought that was kool. they've only done it once for turbo) i liked the last episode when sky became the red ranger and bridge became blue (bridge looked good in blue)

Mystic Force- i loved the theme song, the show is uber cornballish, so i give it a meh. the setting was good, nice and dark kinda. but they had capes... WTF are they doing with capes? no really, WTF?

i conclude this in saying i hope that the next season will be somewhat good. i will remain a Power Rangers fan like i've been doing so since 1993 or was it '94? it's been so damn long, i known i've been there since the first episode.

Well, for me, as great as the original shows were in my heart, they're so cheesy that they are almost unwatchable if not for the nostalgia factor.

Well, Mystic Force is 32 eps while the previous Disney efforts were 38. Yes they are too short, and IMO, they need to get back to doing series in the 40-45 eps range.

I think Disney had good concepts with Dino Thunder (going back to the high school setting) and SPD (futuristic police), but their execution has been inconsistent. Especially with Mystic Force. Operation Overdrive's sentai counterpart is a neat concept, so here's hoping they bring the goods.

Not much, actually. Here's a cmill-fied recap:

1.) The Rangers paint a mural. Xander's "sick".

2.) The Rangers fight Koragg in Legend Mode; they get their a$$es kicked as always (the MF Rangers are the worst fighters).

3.) Koragg goes on trial for treason.

4.) Koragg and Imperius double team on the Solaris Knight (who is the biggest pu**y in the history of the franchise).

5.) The Rangers "save" the Solaris Knight and beat down on Koragg.

6.) Koragg has gotten his magic back from the bat chick, Necrolai, then he has a flash of a baby in a red blanket.

7.) Toby likes the ugly a$$ paiting, and Xander's a d***.

From what I heard, he was origionally human (or at least of a speicese that closely resembled humans) criminal who was trying to steal the Zeo crystals. Just touching them melted his skin off and may have costed him an eye (many of the monsters he created were cyclopses, and his visor gave the impression of him being a cyclopse). At least, that's what was implied.

The merchandising sales off Power Rangers are still killer. As long as that remains, they'll keep on with it.

While Power Rangers isn't a wide cultural phenomenon, like it was when it first came out (which was due to it being such a novel brand), it's still a very big deal in terms of appealing to young boys, and the sales are through the roof. Now imagine if Disney stopped being dumb and actually kicked up their DVD division of Power Rangers. :eek:

It's actually quite simple really. Cut down on the camp and one-liners, and you've solved 90% of the problem.

Basically. Also, cutting down on the number of zord fights would help. Also, just because they cut down on campyness doesn't mean there should be no fun in it. A good sense of humor would be good. Just not a campy one. A bit more satyrical might be good. I was watching the Power Rangers movie recently (because I was bored), and there was one joke that actually made me laugh a litte. Basically. Also, cutting down on the number of zord fights would help. Also, just because they cut down on campyness doesn't mean there should be no fun in it. A good sense of humor would be good. Agreed in regards to the humor.

In regards to the villains, 9 times out of 10 they ARE flat. Exceptions? Astronema and Ecliptor.

I watched it until about the middle of Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, and then I just lost interest in it, because it got too complicated for me, and I was 9 at the time, and didn't know good tv shows from bad tv shows.

I watched a bit of an episode of the Sentai that Mighty Morphin' was based on. Didn't understand the diologue, but from what I could understand, it seemed to be, overall, better written. Truthfully, I think Power Rangers could be much better written with a little effort. Right now, I'm jotting down summaries for what I envision to be a good Power Rangers series.
I've only seen the first 2 Zyuranger episodes, but it's so much better than the American version... it makes more sense to me because it actually has a decent storyline. As a kid, I think I just watched it for the pretty colors...

I agree. Were given one season to know the characters thats it. How are we as the viewers meant to connect with the characters after only 30 something eps. If a season of the PR is so popular then it should have another season. And by the end each season almost every Ranger has lost their powers. MMPR sticks out the most not just because it was the first power ranger carnation but because it lasted as long at it did.

Yeah, it would've been great. I was looking forward to some amazing battles, especially the Wolzard Vs. Dekamaster fight, which was a total lackluster.

I'm a fan of Mystic Force AND HP so it's hardly an insult when I compared the two to each other. As for the similarities:

1. They walk around with capes and wands.
2. They ride around on brooms.
3. Solaris Knight's train is ridiculously similar to the train that takes the kids to Hogwarts. Why did they even choose a train for his zord in the first place?
4. There's a particular song that they play whenever the rangers are in the woods that's almost completely identical to a reoccuring tune in the HP movies.

Like I said, it was hardly an insult but you'd have to try not to notice the similarities; assuming you're a HP fan. :up:

Also Wolzard had a flash back with someone holding a baby & that baby had the same red blanket that Nick has

So all Udonna & Leanbow needs to do is see that Nick has that blanket. Maybe what Nick can do is when they get a chance they try their best to get out & Nick or whoever has seen that blanket comes up with some idea to use it to distract the bad guys. Nick brings out blanket & they both see it & voila they mange to escape thanks to a blanket & some distracting

Now that I think about it, out of all of the seasons since the change over from Saban to Disney, Dino Thunder is the most Disney-fied. I mean, you've got:

The "cool" soccer guy, the funny nerdy black guy, the wannabe pop/rock chick, and the whole high school setting.

I disagree, I like The Newbies Rocky, Adam & Aisha they were good replacements for Jason, Zack & Trini . They were awesome as The Ninja Rangers .
