I just watched the unaired pilot of the Global Frequency television series... that wasn't picked up by the WB.

The question that I kept asking myself as I watched this show was...

"How is this series not on TV right now?"

Global Frequency, an adaption of the comic with the same name, was incredible. From the very beginning with a mysterious murder to the last scene.. it's non-stop not gonna let you go. Sean is an ex-cop minding his own business, when his life decides to take a left turn instead of a right. With help from Katrina and the Global Frequency network, he must stop a human bomb from exploding in the heart of San Francisco.

The direction of this episode down to the special effects of coins rolling across a bar is very well done, with camera angles setting the mood early. The script is easy to follow, smart-sounding, and technical enough to make it a Hollywood movie. The government agencies and happenings that went on with experimentation are very thought-provoking... with a world dominated by abilities beyond the human mind.

If you liked the movie Se7en or Matrix, then Global Frequency is something worth checking out. Too bad, the episode was unaired... but you can find it online.

The WB television network passed on the pilot for Global Frequency, a sci-fi adventure series based on the graphic novel by English scribe Warren Ellis.

But that didn't stop someone from leaking the pilot on the internet. The file eventually found its way into the BitTorrent network.

Over the last couple of weeks, enough people have downloaded and viewed the pilot online to give producers hope that TV executives might take a second look at the show.

I would place a link where to find the episode, but I don't think the Hype allows it... so I'll leave at this.

If you get the chance, check out Global Frequency, cause it rocks!

You ask why the WB doesn't do something that makes sense?

Apparently the WB execs loved it, but felt it didn't fit with the lineup they had. It was too dark to fit with all the lighthearted shows they had. But to show how much faith they had in the show, they released it so the people who made it could shop it around to other networks. Usually they would just sit on it. Unfortunately no other networks picked it up either. After the pilot hit the web however, a lot of feedback has reached the people who made it and it has renewed their resolve. They are talking to more people to try to get it on the air.

the episode was a tad bit corny is some places, but overall it was good and it has lots of potential to be a great show.

the torrent file is easy to find, but if anyone needs help getting it, PM me.

I watched it. It did have some corny mutant X style moments I find but on the whole very intresting.

That sounds like a crock, considering they have a horror show called 'Supernatural' coming out this fall. Of course it stars two pretty white boys under 25, so that's probably enough for them to make an exception.

Guys, I've just seen the pilot. Well, it's good. It's more or less an adaptation of the first issue of the comic-book series, with a Matrix-y direction.
Enjoyed it a lot and Michelle Forbes really kicks asses as Miranda Zero.
I just can't get why they never greenlit this series while Crapville is entering season five.

Finally saw the pilot. Phoenominal. It's leagues better than Heroes and I love the hell outta that show. Now that Heroes is huge, hopefull the WB will give it another shot?

Was that "Mam, I've got to see some ID" guy Michael Ian Black?

Probably not. Plus, there's no more WB.

There is still a Warner Brothers, and they are the ones calling the shots, reguardless of what the network is called.

Sci Fi channel should be all over this. They need some solid programming.

Found the episode. It looked pretty good, shame it wasn't picked up. But it got me interested enough to check out the books.

I liked it a lot too... it had serious potential, though the pilot wasn't quite air-ready to me, they had some spots that needed some work and some flow... but all in all... I loved it... I wanted more. Too bad. I thought the operator chick was cute.
