Speaking of titles,I havent decided on one for this ep. Which sounds better?:):

A) Ready..Set..Go

B) Razor's Edge

C)Triskelion

I don't think I'll be updating for a while,so here's a scene I've left on the cutting room floor. It takes place right after the last one:

Fray: I can’t wait to get my hands on Bison.
Gunblade: I’ll bet.
Fray: Great, now is everything I say going to turn into a sexual comment.?
Matt: Don’t you mean cum-ment?:p
Fray: Quiet,you.
Toven: She’s just cranky because we interrupted. But don’t worry,I’m sure you’ll have plenty of time to get back to your kinky sex.
Twylight: Gross.Just stop guys.
Toven: Says the ****-in-training.:)
Twylight::eek: Am not! :mad:
Toven: Yes your are.Youre the ****tiest of them all.Just wait and see. *turns to Logan* Youre pretty quiet, hotshot. All that sex wear you down?

Toven fondles him gingerly

Logan: This is much more embarassing than you can possibly imagine.:wolverine
Toven: That’s what I said when my parents caught me doing it.:)
Twylight: Somebody change the subject,stat!
Matt: So Tovie, why did you offer us a ride?
Toven: There’s about 12 lbs of coke in the trunk.I just wanted to make sure I had somone to blame it on in case I got caught.
Twylight: 12 lbs?Don’t you mean fluid ounces?
Fray: uh,Toven.BY coke you do mean the soft drink, right?
Toven: Think of it as coca-cola,but without the cola.
Matt: So what the hell is coca?

Abaddon
11-18-2005, 12:20 PM
Fray: You brought us in your car filled with drugs?
Toven: No,silly.This isn’t my car.:)
Twylight: DRUGS?!
Toven: Don’t worry. Its not the kind you have to take on a full stomach.
Logan: That’s it,missy.Youre going to stop this car right now.
Toven: Are you going to give me a spanking?
Logan: You can ask the authorities for that.:wolverine
Toven: No,I don’t think so.
Twylight: Just do it now and get it over with. We’ll see you in 6 to 8 months.
Toven: God,you guys are dumb.Youre all accessories to my crime.Especially now that I just told you what I’m doing.
Twylight: somebody tell me I’m dreaming.
Matt: With Toven, its always a nightmare.
Fray: we so don’t have time for this.

a loud rumbling is heard in the trunk

Toven: whats she’s doing now?

Toven pulls over and steps out of the car.

Matt: What is it now?
Toven: My other accomplice.

she goes around the back and opens thr trunk where Pie4Me lies convulsing and foaming at the mouth,on a bed of empty bags cocaine.

Toven: You stupid b**ch!You ate all my coke. Now how am I supposed to buy all the pretty things I like.
Pie4Me; I thought it was sugar.
Toven: You couldn’t have figured that out by the second bag?

The others escape the vehicle and hail a cab

Speaking of which, my woman and I are now up to Season 3, and I have a real love/hate feeling towards Rory. Great delivery of all the funny lines, but everything even remotely related to Jess when it comes to her makes me just chant "Shut up, Rory," over and over, regardless of whether she's actually saying anything or not. She'll just give this longing look toward Jess making out with his little bimbo friend and I'll just vehemently growl "Shut up, Rory." If Season 4 is the one where Rory and Dean finally start getting it on, while Dean is married, then I'm definitely going to skip that one entirely.

But I'm not the least bit apologetic in saying that Lauren Graham is now my favorite comedic actress.

A threesome with Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel would be like the hottest thing ever. Especially if Alexis had her hair the way it was in the early seasons. Those stupid bangs she's got now (on the show, anyway) would just block her face from what would undoubtedly end up on it. And the ponytail she had back in the day is useful for various things.

No, not till Season 5ish I think. Most of Season 4 is pretty tame with relationship focus on Lorelai.

Also the getting it on part is all of one time and after that it's over..sort of.

The whole Dean thing just seemed like something the writers tacked on it's never mentioned again and she never seems sorry or wracked with guilt over it.
Meh..it seemed like shoddy writting.

Hey Abbadon, my woman and I have been watching Buffy from the beginning on DVD and are currently on Season 3. I looked up the latter episodes of that season on www.TV.com earlier and the episode notes mention a number of unfortunate events in later seasons that seem foreshadowed in Season 3, most notably Buffy sarcastically hoping her mother's would have a "funny aneurism" (I forgot what bit of bad news Buffy assumed would cause this, but sure enough, Joyce died from an aneurism in Season 5) and Willow mentioning that she could become a "bad-ass Wicca," which came true in Season 6. Creepy, creepy stuff.

Oh, here's another one--
Quote from Graduation Day (2), Season 2 finale:
Faith says, "Miles to go. Little Miss Muffet counting down from 7-3-0."

Episode Note:
The DVD commentary indicated that "7-3-0," as said by Faith, was a countdown to Buffy's death, i.e. 730 days (two years) until her death. Buffy did die on the fifth season finale, two years later.

I don't remember hearing Faith say that when I saw the episode years ago, but that just creeps me out. Then again, everything creeps me out when I haven't slept for the past two nights, have a paper I have to finish in less than 3 hours (why else would I be posting here except to avoid crucial assignments?) and a final exam I'm unprepared for but have to take at the same deadline. And the Buffy pages of TV.com have an image of Dark Willow on the banner, and that kind of image disturbs the hell out of me when I'm in this state of mind. Why couldn't they pick mousy Willow, or at the very least Vampire Willow??

Anyway, do you think all these "coincidences" were actually planned out years in advance? I thought the WB writers killed Buffy off because they were taking the show off of the WB network and giving it to UPN, but now it seems possible that they were going to do it regardless. How the hell would Faith know Buffy would die in exactly two years? Was the Mayor a precog?

I watched Buffy since the beginning and I only became aware of these things a few years ago when I began reading some books on the show. The Graduation Day stuff was pretty cool. The show always had lots of foreshadowing, and payed great attention to detail (well..until the latter two seasons).

Anyway,to answer your question Joss indeed planned things in advance. The "Little miss muffet" Faith refers to is Dawn.In the first few eps of season 5 many of crazy refer to her as such.In the first episode she appears in,"The Real Me",a man looks at her and mentions only seeing "curds and whey".Its quite brilliant. Also Joss told Kristine Sutherland(Joyce) that she would be dieing in season 5 a year earlier.Joss planned to kill Buffy in season 5presumably because it was the 100th episode and it had to be climactic and stuff. Its really nice to look back at the days when the show was going strong and Joss left us these little tidbits we would learn about later. There are plenty more too.Especially in the last ep. of the fourth season.:)

And the whole dream sequence in Graduation Day is a bit of an oddity. In it,Buffy and Faith seem to reconcile, but in the next season I'm not telling you, you'll just have to watch for yourself. So stop cheating!

I had watched Buffy pretty regularly since the third season when it was on. We're just watching it now from the beginning because my woman hadn't watched it (and hadn't wanted to), and I haven't seen every episode in order. And because it's a pretty decent show, of course.

Yes,Joss loves his foreshadowing. And since you "already know",the dream sequence was odd because a season later in "This Years Girl" Faith has a parallel dream in which she's in Buffy's room, but it still has the same vibe as the "Graduation Day" dream.Buffy of course, kills her in the dream and wakes up all vengeful even though it seemed like they reconciled in Buffy's dream.

But Larry sounds so cool, when Larry talks in the third person. Plus Larry should totally have the manage a quatre. Larry would be so good for that scene. ;) ;)

You aren't in the process of obtaining the 'Firefly' box set, and I... I just can't for the life of me begin to understand why that is.

Did someone nail your feet to the floor? Have your hands been mangled in such a way that you can tap the keys but can't reach for your wallet and cough up some 'Firefly' money? What's the frickin' deal?!

I'm lazy, and I never held any affection for the series. The bit of the first ep. I saw turned me off completely and I never watched again. Not to say that it isnt good, but I dont have much of an incentive, aside from hearing other people talk about how great it is.

You disgust me.

Tell me; was the bit of the first episode you saw actually the first episode of the series, or was it the first one they aired on Fox?

Also, was it the very beginning that you saw? The beginning of that turned me off, too, and I already had to have my arm twisted to watch it in the first place. By the end of the pilot, I was fully infected by 'Firefly' fever. Expose yourself for a prolonged period of time and you, too, shall know the glory that is 'Firefly' and then spread it to others. Now go watch it, God damn you!!

I think it was the first ep. on Fox.It was boring and there were too many characters.

I'll get to see it eventually,so you don't have to worry about failing to infect me with your disease.:o

So you probably just saw the first episode aired. FOX didn't like the pilot, so they aired it waaay out of sequence, and put on the second episode first. I could see how that would be confusing.

Boring?? If it's "The Train Job" that you saw, you should be ashamed of yourself! That's a damn good episode, in my not-at-all-humble opinion.

Five main differences between 'Firefly' and 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer':
1. Quite a bit less hand-to-hand fight scenes or fight scenes in general.
2. A hell of a lot less mushy, agonizingly trite "unattainable love" angst, and the few times it does happen, it passes very quickly.
3. The show is mostly about committed grown-ups, not confused children (although there are a few of those).
4. The dialogue, while still full of Whedonisms, is very different, as it's a mixture of antiquated, futuristic and occasionally Chinese language.
5. Obviously, it's a sci-fi Western, not a horror series.

Watch, and be grateful, dammit.

try to see 'firefly' first. 'serenity' will make much more sense that way, plus it's basically just the series finally fox never let 'firefly' have, so seeing it afterwards is like watching the series in sequence.
