This is the Thread that is dedicated to the character Juggernaut in X3. Discuss anything from casting of Vinnie Jones to his role in the movie to whatever you can think of.

Do you think in X3 they will have the relationship between Juggernaut and Prof X as part of the plot of simply use him as hires muscle. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if they did reduce him to hired muscle seeing how they bypassed lady Deathstrike's background in X2. I'm hoping they won't but you never know.

If the rumor of Prof X dying turns out to be true, I can only hope Juggy is the one that comes calling for Xavier's head. Time for a little "chat" with his dear stepbrother.

But really I hope they do Juggy justice and don't use him like Sabretooth or Deathstrike in the previous X-Films. I fully expect them to turn Juggy into a basic mutant with SLIGHT superhuman strength and ONLY mild invulnerability.

My ultimate hope for this movie is that Juggy storms the school and meets face to face with Xavier, only to have to fight Colossus in at least a 3-5minute long fight. And in this fight, they level much of the school and Colossus just doesn't quite have enough power to stop Juggy in the end.

I like his idea too but who's going to fix the school? LOL But it really depends on how powerfull Juggernaut will be, the gem of cytorrak may be hard to explain.

Cyttorak won't be in the movie...there is way too much crap involved with it. Adn if they just say "he's powerful because of a mysterious gem" that'll be one lame prospect.

He'll just be a mutant...less powerful than his comic version, but stil powerful none-the-less.

Most likely it will be like Evolution. So he'll be a mutant.

But anyways...

What they should do is have the army or whatever try to raid the school again. Then they see collosus taking on all of them with ease then a man says "Its time to unleash the Juggernaut" then that is when juggernaut comes out to fight collosus.

I'm not trying to be a prick...but...

Why? Why would the military be interested in the mansion again, after the President has had his mind changed at the end of X2? And why would the military unleash the Juggernaut? That makes very little sense and I hope that does not happen.

I would prefer that Rogue absorb Juggernaut's super strength, and have a lengthy toe to toe fist fight with him over Colossus.

I mean, I like Colossus and all, but it's time to give Rogue at least a glimpse of what she's like in the comics. And having her at least temporarily absorb Juggernaut's strength, maybe not exactly what Rogue fans want to see happen, but at least they'll get to see her with her super strength.

And, as much as I like Colossus, I don't want yet another character introduced, just to fight with Juggernaut.

I hope that the backstory between Xavier and Juggernaut does happen. Afterall, when it was announced that Juggernaut was in, and that Vinnie Jones was playing him, Avi Arad and Matthew Vaughn both talked about the relationship between Cain and Xavier, and how it would be interesting to play out on screen.

Which comic may that be?

Um... just about every comic Rogue is in, where she has certain powers, that although aren't -really- hers, are still trademarks of who she is.

And a display of that superstrength, allowing her to have a fist fight with Juggernaut, would be pretty swell.

I agree that I don't want Colossus there just to fight Juggernaut...
My point was I hope they flesh out Colossus' character enough, so that he could fight Juggernaut and really have Colossus trying to save Xavier and the school, but just not quite able to. Would give him a really good dynamic of how he tires so hard and wants to save everyone (like how he wanted to stay and help Logan fight in X2).

And while I like Rogue and the idea of getting a partial amount of Juggernaut's super-strength, I don't want them just to use Juggernaut so Rogue can become some strong tear-'em-up character for one or two scenes.

I do as well...
I think if they nail the suit (and not on comic accuracy, I mean make it feel like Juggernaut exists as a real person with presence and power) he'll be able to fully give Juggy his due credit.

Nell2ThaIzzay

Well, I agree with you, WalkingDead, that I'd like the chance to see the REAL Colossus up there on the screen.

I mean, his cameo was awesome. I was mad when Wolverine said "Help them!"

I'm not as big a Colossus fan as I am of say... Gambit, or Beast, or Magneto. But I really like Colossus. I've stated in a previous thread, that in a way, Colossus COULD be the most emotional X-Men character, or one of them.

However, I just dunno if there's room for Colossus in this movie (and that's not something that I prefer to say).

We've already had Nightcrawler cut. We're introducing Beast, Angel, and there seems to be a struggle to get Gambit into the mix (and I very biasly think that it's a much higher priority to get Gambit in than Colossus)... I just don't know if there's gonna be enough room to flesh out Colossus the way we'd all like, as anything more than maybe just someone who tags along and fights in the background, if we even get that.

Rogue is already a character that's been established, and fans of Rogue are still trying to get a glimpse of the Rogue they all know and love. And, Rogue fans have just as much a right to see their favorite character brought to life as fans deserve to see Cyclops lead, Wolverine berserker out, and Gambit blow stuff up.

Again, I would love a chance to see Colossus fleshed out a bit. But, I don't think it's gonna happen, and I think it's a much easier, and better, solution, to give Rogue some temporary super strength to duke it out with Juggernaut for a bit, than to spend time fleshing out a new character just so he could fight Juggernaut for a bit.

Juggy will be the first time we'll be seeing superstrength in the X-Movies. I'd love to see a good slugfest in X-3 so that leaves Colossus or Rogue to fight him. I really dislike Rogue's character and I don't think she's quite ready to absorb a villain as powerful as Juggy(unless X3 is set a few years in the future). I'd rather Colossus fight him but also to have a more developed character. My opinion is extremely biased because I'm a Colossus fanman.

I'm slowly starting to feel better about Vinie partially due to his role in Euro Trip. His rage is really on point. He's like a white Sam Jackson.

P.S. I don't see Gambit contributing much to the team in X3. He would just make for a more complicated love triangle with Rogue and Iceman.

Actually...since Thing was based on the 1961 designs of Thing, he's height was barely off...maybe 2-3 inches at most. The Thing later became the huge guy he is nowadays.

I imagine they'll do the same with Juggy...
Juggy was just under 7 ft. originally. He later became the 12 ft. monster of power he is most popularly known as.

How tall is Jones anyway? If he's a litttle on the short side I suppose they could just give him elevator boots like they did with The Thing in Fantastic 4 (at least I heard he wears elevator boots, I haven't seen it though) however I'm still fairly concerned about his physical size, and wether or not he'll be able to give us that "Whoa, he's HUGE!" impression that we all want. Like in Raiders of the Lost Ark when that big Nazi fights Indy in front of the plane. I suppose he could be bulked up with lots of prosthetics if worst came to worst. Anyone have anything to comment about this?

Vinnie is 6' 2"...the original Juggernaut was only 6' 10".

Also..Rumors say that he'll have a 4-layer suit...that will beef him up a decent amount. Plus I imagine he'll work out enough to put a bit more mass to himself.

OK, good. Knowing he's 6' 2" automatically makes me much more confident, although I suspect if he's to be wearing a big suit they'll be using elevated footwear for him. As long has he has big ol' beefy arms, wether they're his own or prosthetics, and can stand at least a few inches taller than the main cast I'll be happy. Juggernaut needs to come across as being way bigger and tougher than any of the main X-Men, so as long as they do a good job with his training and costume design I think he should do a good job.

I imagine they'll enlarge him digitally if the budget lets them, or they'll go with various forced-perspective tricks and camera angles if the budget doesn't allow the digital alterations.

I am confident they'll make Juggy big and strong...but the only fear is that when they do that, he'll become dumb and barely able to talk (which we all know is NOT how Caine is). I mean he ain't Beast, but he's not just some dumb idiot who can't walk and chew bubblegum at the same time either.

And you thought you smelled some good old pussy, and have brought your two small mincey ****** balls along for a good old time. But you've got your parties mangled up. There's no pussy here, just a dose that'll make you wish you were born a woman. Like a prick, you are having second thoughts. You are shrinking, and your two little balls are shrinking with ya. The fact that you've got "Replica" written down the side of your gun. I would imagine IF Juggernaut gets an actual costume...Juggy's costume would be colored dark rust-red with some black and maybe a bit of brown.

Hell, honestly he might not even have a "Juggernaut" costume, he might be in some prisoner get-up, like just brown tore clothes or something like that if he is part of the prison break (which may or may not happen now).

I don't think they would write the jail break out, a lot of people found that one of the good things about the so-called-script. I think they'll leave it, if they do it will explain a lot. I'm sure he won't be in a jail get up the whole time, Magneto has to make a psyche-proof suit... or else he'd be down in one shot with the slightest pf psychics.

I hope that they do make him slightly taller. He's 6'2 already, so give him some lifts to make him at least 6'4/6'5.

What bothered me about the Thing in F4 was that he was short. That's fine, but for some ODD reason, Tim Story would use low angles (esp on the bridge) to make him look 'taller'. But then he'll have scene where the he's walking with the group, and he's no taller than the yummy Jessica Alba. That's just a bad decision. Then why use the low angles in the first place? Film is a visual medium and practical effect can be made.

If they make Juggs look tall, they better not contridict itself like what Story did with the Thing.

Hes obviously just going to be a Sabretooth/Lady Deathstrike part. Its painfully obvious. Hes the least famous actor in an already crowded movie. Besides, its not like Juggernaut is the most chatty of all mutants. I would be really, really surprised if he had much more of a part than Sabretooth.

I don't think we'll get any of the Juggernaut/Professor X connection.

A lot of posters are for the "jail break" scene, but it's the one that makes me the most nervous. It has the potential to be one of the best moments of the movie (if it remains intact) or the worst. I'm worried we're going to get some horribly stereotypical cheesy prison clip that serves as little more than a device from which to feature mutant cameos. If the scene remains, I hope they take their time with it, so it looks great . . . as well as serves as a meaningful plot device.

Yeah, I agree. Juggernaut will do little more than Sabretooth and Deathstrike did in the previous two films.

The Original Bamfer

I think he'll be involved in more fights though...

I'm thinking...

He should run through a large group of angry mutants on his way out of the prison... this would give a great opportunity for cameos (Unus, Cannonball, Gambit, Avalanche, Blob, Some morlocks and maybe even Emma Frost check the sig...) that wouldn't take over the film.

A short battle occurs when Cyclops, Storm, Rogue, Wolverine and Iceman take on the raging crowd. Magneto steps in and its all over.

He hits a sentinel

He should next take on Colossus, Iceman, Beast and Shadowcat possibly with the help of Cannonball and/or Avalanche for an interesting fight.

He takes out another sentinel

Rogue can get some super human strength after she fights him when a brotherhood meeting goes wrong, she may even get some help from Gambit.

Bye bye yet another sentinel

He will then help out with the fight against Phoenix.

Just some ideas for his fights... They should all be fairly short, besides the Phoenix battle of course, but other than that he won't take up too much room but we will still get a good, um, taste of him.

Magneto is on the city street and he picks up fifteen cars to throw at Cyclops and on the street behind Magneto Juggernaut goes charging at Iceman and Iceman freezes the ground underneath Juggernaut and Juggernaut falls on his face and goes sliding past Iceman and Juggernaut crashes into Magneto and Magneto and Juggernaut goes sliding underneath the cars right before they all come crashing on top of them.

I hope that they do make him slightly taller. He's 6'2 already, so give him some lifts to make him at least 6'4/6'5.

If they make Juggs look tall, they better not contridict itself like what Story did with the Thing.

Well, with Sabretooth, the actor was 6' 9" and they made him become 7' 2" by the time all the makeup and lift-boots and everything else was put on him.
I imagine just a bit more extreme with Vinnie...like since he's 6' 2", they make him 6' 10" or so before it's over.

If they keep it to the comics...that wouldn't work...Juggernaut can't be slid around on ice if he's running or walking, it's part of why he's called Juggernaut (an unstoppable force...and when in motion, Juggy can't be stopped by anything other than his own choice). He'd walk right over the ice, shattering it.

But honestly I bet Cyclops will stop Juggy. He'll tear his visor off and obliterate him...even though in the comics that would do nothing by slow Juggy down and piss him off.

Has anyone been to Vinnie's website? It's the funniest thing I've ever seen LOOOOL

http://www.vinniejones.co.uk/

Hello! I'm Vinnie Jones and you've found my website.
I've tried to keep the site upto date, but I have a pretty busy filming schedule
and it's not always that easy getting these things done.
Busy is not the word! Where does the time go, I don't know.
Vinnie is in Canada filming 'She's The Man' which is produced by Dreamworks, Directed by Andy Fickman and stars Amanda Bynes (Robots). It is based on Shakespeare's Twelfth Night but with a modern twist. (now seriously, am I the only one who finds it funny that he's doing a movie with Amanda Bynes? I just couldn't stop laughing when I read that).
And here are some funny quotes from Snatch:
Avi: Should I call you Bullet? Tooth?
Bullet Tooth Tony: You can call me Susan if it makes you happy.

Bullet Tooth Tony: You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Avi: Tony.
Bullet Tooth Tony: What?
Avi: Look in the dog.
Bullet Tooth Tony: What do you mean, "Look in the dog"?
Avi: I mean open him up.
Bullet Tooth Tony: It's not a ****ing tin of baked beans! What do you mean "open him up"?

Bullet Tooth Tony: Avi, pull your socks up.

Mullet: What are you doing Tony?
Bullet Tooth Tony: Driving with you head stuck in my window. What do you think I'm doing?
[Bullet Tooth Tony is driving down the street with Mullet's head stuck in his window]
Tommy: You 'bin usin' dog **** fer toothpaste, Mullet?
Bullet Tooth Tony: [Madonna's "Lucky Star" comes on on the radio] Oh, I love this track.

I guess I just find it funny that a guy as tough as Vinnie would star in teen comedies like this one or Eurotrip.
I've never seen him in anything and I don't know anything about his acting, but I don't think that matters because he's always playing himself anyway.
He sounds like a funny guy and like Vaughn said, he has a REALLY HUGE HEAD!

I preferred Cyclops' bulkier visor simply because that beam of his is so damn powerful.

Say, for a teamwork element, Juggernaut is moving down the street towards some vulnerable target. Storm tries to blow him away with gail force winds, but he barely slows down. Then she tries to suck him up in a twister but he simply won't get off the ground. Finally, Cyclops jumps down into a manhole. A moment later we see his optic blast explode up through the street beneath Juggs and send him up into the air. No longer on Terra Firma, he gets caught in Storm's twister and is flung far off into the ocean. At the end of the film, when the credits finish rolling, he wades up out of the ocean onto dry land.

They cast him because hes a menacing c**t! With that big ass head. Perfect for Juggernaut. Hopefully they go liberal with the amount of destruction Juggernaut causes. Be funny watching him walk casually through buildings on the way to do something. Like it was just an everyday event.

Also I think they should use the same sort of device they used in Evo to restrain Juggernaut, to explain why Magneto needs to rescue him from Jail. It's the only way to explain it. If the jails use chemicals/machines and what not to keep the mutants unconscious. Also be good if Magneto thinks Juggernaut will help him. But Juggernaut just uses Magneto to get free then goes and does his own thing. :xmen: I really hope they don't tone down Juggernaut so hes just a mutant and is 'one' with the brotherhood. :marv: :down

Here's the Jughead scenario I have in mind:
Back at the mansion, Colossus is the first line of defense and he puts up a good fight, but we know what the outcome will be. The music gets somber when he hits the floor and reverts back to flesh.
The rest of the team has held off for fear of hitting the wrong guy; now Cyclops and Storm jump in as the others form a shield around the Professor.
They both manage to take the big guy off his feet, but he just bounces back up and plods forward. He finally gets Cyke in a bearhug and squeezes until you hear bones popping (nobody realizes yet that he's a goner...they were going to bump him off anyway, right?).
Storm gets ***** slapped and we're out two more X-Men. Knowing he's protected by his helmet, Jugs heads straight for lil' brother. He scatters the remaining members by hurling furniture and then has a short chat with Chuck, before crushing his windpipe.
This causes the misfits to throw caution to the wind and work as a team (for once) to bring the big guy down. Wolverine spears him in the eyeholes and is immediately KO'd in the process. A blind Marko staggers around as Iceman puts the big freeze on him. Immobilized, Beast leaps on his back, removes his helmet, lands some cheap shots and hops away just as Cain shatters the ice. Meantime, Rogue soaks up a still unconscious Colossus' power and transforms into metal. Jugs hears her coming and swings at the air, but she waits for the right moment and manages to catch him on the jaw. With Juggernaut dazed, she grabs on to his arm and drains his juice until there's nothing but a shrunken corpse inside the armor.
I thought having her be the hero would lead nicely into the X-kids spinoff.
That's it...not as exciting as Ali/Frazier, but I think it'll do.

I like your scenario for the most part...like the Colossus, Storm, and Cyclops bits.
A few things I don't like are:
Wolverine has tried to pierce Juggernaut's eyes before and they are like the rest of him, pretty much invulnerable. But for the movies, it's no big deal and could work out.
The problem is that Rogue has never been able to do much more than make Juggy dizzy from trying to drain him. She always passed out or went crazy from draining him while Juggy staggers a bit and then recomposes himself shortly afterwards.
Unless they severely cut Juggy's powers down, he's not gonna go out like you've proposed. Also it is pointless to kill off Juggernaut IMHO, but they could.

It's about a half and half mix there...if they make Juggernaut weaker than his comics version, this isn't a bad road to go down.

Thanks, Walking Dead.

I heard this may be the last of the series, so I thought a few violent deaths would be in order. I haven't read the comics in over twenty-five years (the movies have unleashed the kid inside), so I'm sure you know more about these guys than I do. I think they probably will tweak Juggernaut's power a bit and make him more vulnerable...otherwise I don't think anyone could take him out(maybe the Professor?).
I hope they decide to have Juggs hunt Xavier down on his own and build the tension like a horror movie. The school gates could be ripped open as he stands in the moonlight, calling Chuck out. Colossus could rush out the door and try to keep the fight outside, while Cyke and Storm follow him as backup. The rest of the mutants could nervously watch the fight from the upstairs window while they guard Prof.X. They could play "Psycho" strings (weee weee weee) when Cain gets past the first three and bursts into the mansion.
Move over, Freddie and Jason.

There's a nice Marvel Legends figure of Juggernaut...

I've got one and it's pretty cool...Too bad I lost his helmet and I haven't found it yet.. :(

No offense to the fine chaps who made them! They just don't quite... Work for me. The fiirst one is good color but the helmet is too small. I think Vinnie should where a suit so he looks bigger. The helmet is crucial I think. I love that dopey lookin thing.

Has anybody heard about whether or not they are going to make Vinnie look bigger via prosthetics?

I would hate for them to use too much CGI. Maybe use the camera to make him look bigger a la the techniques used in LOTR.

Octoberist

Tim Story made many contridictions by using camera angles to make The Thing look bigger.

THere were several shots of The Thing from a low angle, making him look bigger than he actually is (bridge scene). The problem is that there's several other medium shots of him standing/walking with the other teammates, and he looks small.

For example, when he was walking with Jessica Alba after the ESPN scene, he was as tall as her and it was done in an eye level view of the two actors. It just ruins the illusion.

I'm hoping that Ratner will be more consistent with this effect.

Yeah, I noticed that too. That's why Ratner should take a look at what Peter Jackson did with the angles. He was very good at making certain characters look bigger and smaller without CGI.

I wouldn't mind a make-up job on Vinnie similiar to Mr. Hyde from LXG. The movie wasn't very good, but I thought they did an excellent job on that character visually.

For everyone in the UK, Vinnie Jones is on Ricky gervais' new comedy "Extras" tonight on BBC2 along side Ross Kemp (basically the two hard men of british telly)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/extras/

I cant believe how big Ricky has made himself in the USA to get all these guest stars but he deserves it anyway :)

I found this:
"A bigger risk (and I say this on the basis of seeing only one programme, featuring Ross Kemp) is that the stars appear as themselves, but then assume another persona. In Kemp's case, he tries to impress Gervais (who plays Andy Millman, a lowly extra on the film set) by acting the hard man. Then he's confronted by Vinnie Jones, who's also playing himself, and is shown up as a snivelling softie."

As always, vinnie is playing the real hard man :D

I think he looks perfect looks wise, but I'm not sure about the size.

Sure Hellboy looked great in his suit, but Ron P. seems to be made to be dressed up like that and is comfortable like that aka Beauty and the Beast tv show and other stuff.

But I didn't really like The Thing that much. I'm crossing my fingers and toes that Jug's will look and act good.

Plus to me that is another reason why it was best that a British guy was cast, to make to feel/sound more like those two could be related. I REALLY REALLY hope they do something interesting with that.

Super-thug Sabretooth in X-Men 1 I don't want to see again.

I know the two are night and day, but a real boxer/fighter tends to move more like one than an actor, experience and all. If your not used to wearing a big thing like a space suit you'll look like it.

i still think that Cain Marko who hates his brother starts beating charles, this is the point where charles first gets his powers, Charles does something to Cain that totaly disrupts his mind.... bringing up his greatest fears, making him go crazy untill he falls unconcious.... since charles has only just developed his powers that second, his body and mind wasnt use to that much of a change and with that big of a mental outburst something happens to his spine that makes him crippled....
Cain is in some sort of secret mental facility the goverment runs, cain is there healing from the incedent, the goverment volunteers cain as a mutant killing experiment they give him ultimate strength and invulnerability.... as he awakens he is pissed, he goes on a rampage throughout the facility (a experiment gone wrong) nothing in there can stop him, he escapes with one thought in mind, to kill charles...
knowing his brother is a telepathic mutant cain knows he cant do anything without being protected from psychic abilities, he comes across magneto and asks for his help, magneto creates a helmet, much like his owne that enables psychic powers from affecting him, cain becomes the juggernaut...
Juggernaut is in a battle with the x-men (at the time Cyclops Jean and Storm) they stand no chance against him he is tossing them around and it seems like theres no chance when he grabs cyclops and about to kill him jean outbursts in power, you see a minor scale of what the phoenix can do as she blasts juggernaut back with basicly everything shes tossing at him with telekenesis some how it shows her stopping the Juggernaut in his tracks and sends him flying into an ocean or something, all the x-men are unconcious coinsedentaly so they didnt see the power from jean.... she collapses from the power and falls unconcious, You see a glimpse of xavier at the mansion and a feared look on his face...

^those would be flashback scenes of juggernaut^

Opening scene, Juggernaut is rampaging through a city the same city that the worthington mansion is in, Angel contacts the Xavier (his old friend) for help to stop juggernaut (you dont get a good glimpse of angel so you dont really know its him) Xavier refers to him as Warren on the phone...the x-men are sent out to stop him (Wolverine storm cyclops and iceman (newly added)) they split up trying to find him through the city, you get to see team work in the works... Cyclops seees juggernaut and juggernaut atacks him (like the story board) then while cyclops is on the ground juggernaut runs for him again but cyclops is saved be some person with angelic wings, you only get a back view.... now the audience is in there feet, who is this guy with wings?.... now wolverine jumps for Juggernaut andcovers juggs eyes with his hands, Juggernaut tries shaking him off while he stomps around, Iceman freezes the ground below him and juggernaut slipps and falls on his bottum as the earth shakesand buildings start to crumble.... wolverine jumps off and you see storm wolverine and Iceman standing beside each other then angel lands beside them with cyclops in his arms... cyclops gets up and speaks "ready x-men" and they battle juggernaut, at one point juggernaut runs for Iceman and icemans "ice ups" to stop the blow from juggernaut, Iceman goes flying into a wall but is ok from the protective ice... that one was for the iceman fans :D... anyway the xmen manage to stop Juggernaut somehow and the xmen leave as juggernaut is taken away by special goverment team and take him away to the mutant prison...
When Juggernaut is freed by magneto i want magneto to say something like "We meet again Cain" Juggernaut is in some cell that cant be affected by his Juggernauts strength... Juggernaut is banging on the walls and magneto just grins "have a proposition to make, I will help you get revenge against your brother if you accompany my brotherhood of mutants and help me with my goal... juggernaut agrees and magneto releases him, juggernaut rampages through the jail breaking out mutants and destroying all in his way....

those are a few scenes i thought of about juggernaut...... i think it would be cool but thats my opinion

Yeah,..the only addition/difference this time around is that I put in these metal neck bands, or braces with latches on the top of them so that they can connect with his helmet once he has it all the way on..I also add a few rivets on the helmet and additional side room for his ears...

It's basically a modified variation of the combination of this look:

Nice attention to detail on the helmet.

I would prefer the comic dome and it's probably not happening so I could accept the designs in your sketch and the helmet he wore there at the time (isn't that his underhelmet?).

Magneto's helmets so far have been pretty well designed but I wasn't too crazy about the upwards "M" that's around it in X2. I was hoping for a bit more design and some color in the lining like the comic one but otherwise I'm interested in Magneto/Juggernaut's modified new looks and if Magneto will make Juggernaut's helmet using the same psychic blocking properties.

TNC9852002
08-03-2005, 02:17 AM
Yeah, I know...The dome issue...

Like we've seen again and again, the comic dome doesn't seem to work very well on a visual level due to the fact that Juggernaut's abnormal body proportions in the comic are the reason why it looks good on paper and I think it's safe to assume that Vinnie's body proportions won't be changing a whole lot from the neck up...Eh...Who knows what they'll put him in..

And yeah,..Magneto's helmet seems to be evolving from film to film...I'm curious to see how they decide to modify it this time around...

So, does anyone have any idea how they are going to convey Juggernaut's "bigness" in the movie? I have three theories.

1. They will use prosthetic "puppet" limbs over Jones' real ones, and he'll be wearing some kind of elevated footware that will give him big feet and make him a few inches taller. Basically, think "Mr Hyde" from League of Extrordinary Gentlement except, well... Good.

2. They'll use forced perspective to make him look bigger, but I don't know how much this would be good for because his proportions would still be rather normal looking.

3. They'll use CGI, and either they'll replace his whole body except for his head which will be "matted on" somehow, or they whole thing will be CG like the Hulk and Jones will just provide the voice, likeness, and motion capture for the movement and face.

There's also a fourth option that I'm really hoping isnt on the table, and that's that they just plain don't try to make him look like the comic version. Hopefully that's not the case though.

I bet that they'll keep the Beast and Juggernaut photos/shoots tightly sealed until then...

-TNC:up:

They're gonna hold back on this one cause they know how much response it's gonna draw.

At this point anything is possible. BUt I don't expect to see either of them until past October.

I have feeling though that out of the new characters, we'll be seeing Angel first. Gut feeling.

Vinnie Jones, who stars in Johnny Was, was unable to make a party to celebrate the end of shooting of the new Ulster-made movie as he was away being measured up for his costume for the new X-Men movie. http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/lifestyle/film_tv/story.jsp?story=655159

Well, Mike did say they were about 85% done with the costumes.

DV-H!: How far along are all the characters’ designs? Are they all finished, or will some further work be done tweaking them before these characters go before the cameras?

Mike Elizalde: I think I feel comfortable saying that we are 85% locked down.

It's a fitting. I'm certain he's done many. They do multiple tests before lensing starts.
