This statue is awesome. I have 50+ statues and busts and this is one of my favs. It is smaller than i thought, bu the detail is amazing and paint app is cool. The only bad thing is that it didnt come with something to prop it up against, seeing as how its a wall statue, but i bought something perfect for it at an arts and crafts store

Yo IMP, here's the pic as requested. I have all of the Rogues Gallery `cept MAndarin, Sunfire, and Sabretooth( I dont wan` them). I think this series rocks and so does the doc ock.

And heres the JJ. This one is very interesting. It incorporates the whole backround story of Scorpion and JJ. JJ is holding Scorpions mask plus on the backside of JJ is a Spider Slayer. And below the sculpt is the pic from the SDCC. I know its Marvel Universe but this one is def on my list. Enjoy

i just got my rogues gallery kraven the hunter bust in the mail. it is awesome. i just bought rogues gallery vulture too. i should get that soon.

Yes, Kraven is very nice, i like the base a lot. Vulture I didn't like as much. Something I couldn't put my finger on. Tell me which ones you need to complete the Rogues Gallery and I'll post a bunch of links.

After looking at this JJJ pic I released that the thing circling the base isnt pipes as i thought, but scorpions tail.

Thanks SinisterSix92, those pics are cool. I love that JJ mini bust & I like the 'Doc Ock' but I'd like to see it from a different angle, I'll still but it though! Like I've said before I only really collect the 'Rogues Galley' line I have them all so far but I do have some Marvel Universe & Ulitmate busts as well as a few Transformers & all of the 'G.I Joe' mini busts.

Did you see a release date on when 'Doc Ock' is coming out? I noticed that JJ will be out next year, I wonder if the Doc Oct will be out the same time?

Also how long do you guys think that the 'Rogues Gallery' line will be lasting? I mean most of the mini busts have been of Spidey's bad guys, I don't think that there's that many left to do?

Here's hoping they will continue for a while yet.

After further examining the Doc Ock bust I think you can bend the tentacles. If you look at the pic posted above, two tentacles are laying on top of each other, and why would that be the pose. So I'm pretty sure the tentacles are poseable. I hope they are!!!

Ok, now to answer some questions. @spiderfan, I`m still looking for a few so I'll get that list for you soon. Also, Hobgoblin isn't in Rogues Gallery, its in Marvel Universe. I have it, and it's kinda of like Vulture to me. I hate the red eyes and the base, but if you want to have all of the villains I would get him. @Imp, Not sure when doc ock will be released but sometime near JJJ in June is a good guess. Thats a good question about how much longer the series will go on. I love this series so I hope they space the release dates out and keep it going for a while. The Spider-Man enemies so far are:
-Electro
-Lizard
-Venom
-Carnage
-Green Goblin
-Sandman
-Scorpion
-Kingpin
-Kraven
-Shocker
-Vulture
-Mysterio
-Rhino
-Doc Ock

What surprised me is that this series doesn't have a Spidey bust. I have IMO the coolest Spidey bust ever, the Marvel Universe one, so I display that in my Rogues Gallery shelf, but I would really want to see how cool the Rogues Gallery one would be. If you think of any recognizable Spidey villains that would make a good bust post them. I have in mind Hydroman, Beetle, I would like to see a RG Hobgoblin bust, not too fond of the Marvel Universe one, Chameleon, Symbiote Spidey, and maybe see somebody besides Bowen which I dont collect do either a Peter Parker or an alter-ego with a split face of Parker and Spidey.

Just thinking more about what 'SinisterSix92' said about what other bad guys that could be released for the RG line, I can only think of;
Smythe
Morbius
Tombstone
Hammerhead

then pretty much what Sinister had suggested already;
Hydroman
Chameleon
The Beetle

But I guess that with this line being called 'Rogues Gallery' and the fact that we have had three busts so far that were not exclusively 'Spidey' bad guys then maybe I guess that DS are open to releasing other bad guys in the name of RG?

I have looked at the 'Hobgoblin' minibust but like Sinister I do not really like it and have not added it to my collection, but I think that the recent Demogoblin mini bust looks great but still with it not being on the 'named' base as such I do not see it being a part of my collection, maybe DS will re-release this at some point on the now signature 'RG' bases?

I also love that 'Spidey' mini bust(that's pictured above) I have yet to get it but every time I see it I am getting more determined to buy it, I have all 4 of the 'ultimate' spidey busts - normal, unmaksed, symbiote & spidey s/edition, these are well sculpted but do not really fit with the 'RG' line so I might sell these and get that 'universe' spidey, also there is a more ltd spidey coming out that looks a darker colour then the normal one so I might pic that up aswell?

Anyway I hope that DS do continue to produce these great busts and long may the line continue?

Here's the list:

www.amazingcomics.com (http://www.amazingcomics.com) has the Venom for $60 (great price, Very rare now) and has Hobgoblin for $45, Sandman for $45, Carnage for $60, and Lizard for $45. I've never ordered from this site but they seem pretty reasonable.

That leaves Shocker, Electro, Green Goblin

http://nitrocomics.com/marvelstatues.html has Shocker and Electro for $50. I know it says Marvel Universe in parentheses but after looking at the pics they are the RG ones. A lot of people mix MU and RG up. I have ordered about 5 Alien/Predator things from Nitro and everything came fine and quick. I know they don't have any details about the product, just a picture, but if you know what you want by the picture, you'll get what you are looking for.

That leaves Green Goblin which I can't seem to find. I tried sites I go to a lot, trying search engines, everything.

I'll keep an eye out for it, I'm sure it will turn up.

If you're interested in RG you should check out these Marvel Milestones statues and this Premiere Collection statue. I have these and they are great!

oh so do i. these thigns are so cool. i got that spidey bust at suncoat for $35 i think. that is what got me started buying busts. i would really like to see a different hobgoblin, yes. the one they have isn't bad but it could be better. i would like to a morbius bust. that would be cool. the chameleon would be cool too. they need to make a spiderman RG. you know they could make some variants of some of the bigger name villains too. when i get my scorpion and vulture i will post pics. IMP77 do you have a picture of that ltd spidey with darker colors you were talking about?

Great ideas IMP, i never thought of Smythe, Morbius, Tombstone, and Hammerhead. I can picture a Tombstone bust in my head and it would look great! With each Diamond Select product you purchase comes a suggestion card. We might hafta submit some of these villains.

Sucks that the Green Goblin is out of stock, it's one of the Rogues Gallery's finest. The Green Goblin Marvel Milestones statue is great. The smoke looks great, killer pose, good price. I'll have to get pics of my statues/busts up soon, that way you could see some of this stuff thats not a prototype picture.

oh i freaked when i saw scorpion for 19.99. and then i saw green goblin for 29.99 and i went ballistic and then it said he was out of stock and i fell back down to earth. at least i got scorpion for cheap though. i will have to save my money up for gren goblin milestone. i think we shold send in some suggestions to diamond. you say there is a card?

This one doesnt really catch my eye. And there is a Bowen one out in a cool pose, but once again, not a big fan.

This is weird. About a year ago, I got my thirdzone.com email about new Spider-Man products coming out. One of the things on it read, Morbius: The Living Vampire 9 in. Bust. It was the coolest bust I have ever seen. It was a $90, and would have been well-worth the money. It was a really cool base with Morbius The Living Vampire written with blood on the base. Morbius was in this awesome pose, holding his blood-stained hand out. The paint app. was awesome. The whole design of the bust looked outstanding. I didnt have enuf money for it, and I've been looking for any sign of it since, and haven't seen it anywhere. I would pay a couple hundred bucks for this bust now. Maybe it got cancelled or something, not really sure.

Ok, thanks. I think I am gonna send a card to Diamond Select suggesting some characters that would sell good for them. In case you are looking for one, whenever you get a DS product, you'll find a white card about the size of a certificate of authenticity. It asks some questions like what characters you would like to see made.

Here's a pic I got from somewhere, I can not remeber where though, it seems exactly the same sculpt as the normal one but the colours are darker then the regular version, I think it was advertised as saying that it would be avail in the last quater iof this year.

I have just found where I saw this advertised, it was on the 'wizarduniverse.com' store & it's down as Marvel Universe: Spider-Man Ebay Edition mini bust, it's on pre-order now & it's scheduled for a Nov 05 release.

Yea, it is a little odd, with its claws and toes, its like an ultimate venom. You should see it in person with all the details from different angles. I'm almost done with my card also.

They are both very BIG, great, dynamic pieces. The Spider-Man one, like you said, is amazing. The detail on the Venom is phenomenal. The only things I didnt like were the claws. And a tongue that would hang a bit lower would have been nice, but you can't have everything, lol. There is much more detail on the Venom than you think, because they only show one angle of the prototype. I would give the Venom a 9/10 and the Spidey a 9.5/10. I just took pics of my collection for the first time, so they will be on this board soon. I took 3 pics of the Venom from the different angles, and I took a pic of the Green Goblin MM, and Green Goblin RG for fun to show spiderfan. At Goblin, what other pieces do you have, or are you just starting a collection?

goblin, could you tell me how you like your bowen sandman bust when you get it? i like that it has is arms out and in different forms. i thinking about getting it? and where did you get all your RG busts at? just trying to get a few more places.

It comes out in sept or oct I belive,I think it looks like a really cool piece.I will let you know as soon as I get it.

Depending on what pic you see (the above one not being the best) it can look abit iffy, but I actually own this piece & it is a thing of beauty up close & in person. Although the Bowen one (which I have on order), from the pics anyway, does look to top it. :up:
I agree with you about Bowen too, they do make some kickass stuff & not often do they dissapoint.

P.S. I just read on Bowens website that there's rumoured to be a 3rd version of the Spidey Statue too. Black Suit Spidey anyone? ;)

SA-WEET! And Venom just makes him sweeter. The sculptor got to keep him just like he wanted him! Great. I bet this thing is going to retail for a fortune though :(

These are all really nice - there's a beautiful full-length Moon Knight out there too. That is the best Lizard bust I have ever seen.

I know its a matter of opinion but you should have waited and got the Bowen Vulture bust,which I feel is superior to the RG one.

Now is anyone getting the RG Mysterio?Diamond Select did a great job on that one,much better the Bowens in my opinion.

Depending on what pic you see (the above one not being the best) it can look abit iffy, but I actually own this piece & it is a thing of beauty up close & in person. Although the Bowen one (which I have on order), from the pics anyway, does look to top it. :up:
I agree with you about Bowen too, they do make some kickass stuff & not often do they dissapoint.

P.S. I just read on Bowens website that there's rumoured to be a 3rd version of the Spidey Statue too. Black Suit Spidey anyone? ;)

Oh I meant that Marvel Milestone Venom statue from DS,something about it I don't like.The Venom vs Spider-Man one in your pic is nice, what a classic cover image.DF did some nice Marvel stuff ,I have the full size Head bust of both Spider-Man and Green Goblin.Shame they don't work with Marvel anymore ,as someone who worked in the company told me a full size head bust of Venom was planned,with big teeth and tongue sticking out and all.I think Doom was the last one they did.

O man, that Lizard looks terrible! No tail, horrible base, and it just looks so boring. I dont think a good paint job could save this one. This one is much better IMO.

Also: Ignore the center shot of Lizard (in the snea peeks). His head wasn't glued on, so it's in a goofy position in that shot. The piece was sculpted by Sam Greenwell and me. I did the head and arms, Sam did the rest.

Sam had originally sculpted this peice years ago, but I decided to revise it after seeing the realistic Komodo Dragon version that was release by Diamond(?)

I know its a matter of opinion but you should have waited and got the Bowen Vulture bust,which I feel is superior to the RG one.

Now is anyone getting the RG Mysterio?Diamond Select did a great job on that one,much better the Bowens in my opinion.

oh i love the bowen vulture bust and plan on picking him and sandman up. i just love the RG series and want to get the whole series. (except for like 2 or 3 of them) you know what i mean? plus he was cheap.

When Pali first released busts they were $45. Now some of the new ones are crappier and going for $85. It's gonna be hard to find some old ones for decent prices. The first Alien bust by Pali was $45 and now its going for $300 because its so rare. Here's a link to some stuff. I've used this site before. A weird ordering system but everything came to me on time and in great shape. Now, I dont have any of them, but Palisades just started releasing micro statues/busts, of old things that are long since sold out. I would think of that as a last option. A good bust to start out with is the Predator Defeated bust, which is on this link.

That is the first one I got and it is great. Pali just released a Predator Special Edition bust. The prototype was a beaute but the finished product that customers buy turned out terrible. Don't be decieved by some of the proto pics, because I was and I ended up disappointed.

There are a couple of things wrong with the BD Lizard bust. The jacket is in perfect shape (Lizard runs around the sewer, it should be torn), the base is boring, and it needs a tail. I cant fix the tail, and the base, but here is a picture of the bust with the some color and a torn jacket. Enjoy!

that is the one i am watching. interesting story about my sandman bust. after further looking at it, he is cracked where is torso comes out of the sand. contacted the seller and he says he can't do anything about it. so i got screwed out of $36. i found another one for really cheap, so i might get that one.

Yo goblin, good to hear your back into collecting statues. Yes, the premiere collection Spidey and the Marvel Milestones are amazing. Glad you got them! The Spider-Man Maquette is a good piece. It gives what it delivers-A plain piece of Spider-Man standing up. Really simple, and I like it. You will like the Green Goblin milestone piece. The only thing I didnt like was the paint on the face. It seems a little dark, but it just needs better lighting.

Does anyone collect older stuff?

I got a mint boxed Spiderman wall sculpture made by Dynamic Forces and is cold cast in Porcelaine by Randy Bowen. Its hand painted and shows spidey against a brown brick wall in a typical pose ready to shoot web. I saw some copies of it on ebay for sale some time back but this is the original and has got a certificate. Only 4k worldwide and its number 1800.

It was bought in 1994 and has never been displayed.

Stunning!! Anyone interested in it? Pics can be sent.

Just got mine from the comic book store. I sold some old statues, got the Rhino, and have enough money left over for Mysterio. But back to Rhino. WOW! it is very big compared to the rest of the RG Gallery. After seeing the pics of Azog's, I thought it looked good, but it looks much much better in person. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I'll have pictures up in a few.

I'm like you and love the 'Rogues Gallery' line, I have them all to date, I'm just awaiting my 'Rhino'(who looks great from your pics, I thought that his face looked a little strange when I first saw this piece, but it does look good) and 'Mysterio'. I know that 'Rhino' was initally scheduled for release back in August, it's just came out now, anyone have any idea when 'Mysterio' is out? I had November, but maybe December or January is possible.

I also like your spidey statue where he is avoiding some of the 'bad guys' going over a chimney, I'm in two minds if I should get it, but after seeing your pics I think I will try to track it down.

Hey IMP,if you ever see a release on a bust, you can expect it to come out within a few months of the release. Mysterio will probably come out before Christmas, and I really look forward to him, he looks amazing:) . If you are not sure you like the Spidey statue with the enemies, get it. I wasnt sure either and I love it. You will not be disappointed. If you would like one I could give you a website that has it cheap. I dont use ebay, and I got mine for $125 when it first came out. I have all the RG busts excluding Sunfire and Mandarin, along with I think Sabretooth. I have all the Spidey Enemy RG busts. The Spidey I have displayed is Marvel Universe, but it goes with all the RG busts well. Have you seen the Doc Ock RG bust coming out next year? That looks to be great as well.

Hey CrimeMaster! I posted that above, and like them. What do you think of them? Do you think it could have to do with SM3? In my link I also posted the Doc Ock bust, and there is a cool Nick Fury statue.

Hey,yeah theres some nice stuff in that link you posted.I think the Fury statue looks really good,the Ock bust is nice but I will probaly pass since I have a feeling Ock might get the full size statue treatment from Bowen sometime.

As for the Spider-Man vs Venom/Sandman bookends,very nice and interesting piece.Venom and Sandman being the two villains used for that piece is what caught my attention,since it seems like a odd pairing for something like this.

But who knows it could mean nothing and was just done based on the hype and spectulation.Though Diamond Select is Marvels main company for statues,busts,toys,ect and Marvel gets finally say on all products.

Yeah,there will be a second FS Venom statue with a FS black costume Spider-Man as a companion piece to go with it.This was all confirmed by Randy Bowen last week.

I for one am very happy since I didn't pick the last one up and this one looks very nice so far,can't wait to see it finished.

Bowen seems to be very high on doing FS statues of Spider-Man's rogue gallery lately.With Green Goblin,Mysterio,The Rhino,and Scorpion coming out.Plus Randy has said that more villains are on the way,so im hoping Doc Ock,Electro and Lizard get FS treatments.

Also a FS Mary Jane statue based on John Romita sr artwork is planned for next year as well.

Yea that Bowen GG so far looks great,can't wait to see it finished.I will be picking this since I wasn't really happy with Diamond Select GG statue,I like that its based on John Romita SR artwork rather then the demonic look that most companies seem to take when doing Gobby as a statue or bust.

In the last 2 weeks I have picked up both Bowen mini bust of Sandman and Vulture.Both are fantastic,I really like the Sandman one.

Hey Tom,no date has been set yet for this,but I would probaly expect it sometime around late spring or early summer.The Rhino statue might be released first and Goblin alittle bit after that.I figure Bowen might space out the Spider-Man villains statues.

Also Mysterio and Scorpion are set for next year sometime.

As of right now there isn't a Green Goblin bust or statue based on Ramos design but who knows maybe sometime in the future there will be one.

The Goblin seems very popular in the statue/bust department,so it wouldn't susprise me to see that Ramos design pop up one day.

Diamond Select would probaly be the most likely one to do it since their Marvel's main company for statues,bust,toys etc.Plus they seem to produce current looking version of characters,where Bowen prefers and only has the rights to the classic character designs.

Hey, you guys are familiar with that Spidey statue that came out a few months back, that features Spidey battling several of his villains (Scorpion's tail, Sandman's hand, Symbiote ooze, etc.,)...does that statue have a particular name or title? In a few months when i get some of these holiday bills paid, i'm planning on doing a little Ebay shopping, but im not sure how to go about looking for that particular piece, dont know what to type in for a search...

if this is the one you are talking about it is called "the marvel milestones 12-in spider-man statue" from diamond select.

Randy Bowen over at statueforum said it will probay be late 2006 or early 2007.He said he wants to space things out since there was a recent Venom statue and that Venom vs Spider-Man Diorama is also due out this year.

On the Spider-Man vs Venom piece,I heard this thing is pretty huge and pics will be available soon.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a new bust or a Fs statue of Doc Ock done by Bowen in the future.

He said in a recent interview that alot of the first characters he did for either statues or mini bust are being redone for a new genereations of people just collecting Bowen stuff.

I hope Doc Ock and Electro or the Lizard are done for statues next year since this year looks pretty full.

I think it is based on Romita Sr version of MJ.All thats known is she holding Spider-Man's mask for the statue,previews pics might be out this week along with a new look at Mysterio.
