In the TV spot where they introduce all the new characters, anyone else see the flash of angel flying in some all black get up... its literally a split second nshot right after the title ANGEL flashes on the screen

Its just him jumping out the lab at a different angel, shadow is covering his body, it makes him look dark.....:(

I don't really see what Superman offers that Xmen can't if it has Angel, Storm, Phoenix to cover the flying department; colossus and arclight, strength; wolverine, agility;Pyro, the hotness;Icmean, the coolness;Prof. X; for royal baldness (Luthor). In fact if you think about it, xmen has more that Supes lacks.

Wow .. good question.. I guess if he'd taken the "cure" you could just cut off his wings right? Then the internal extensions of them (like bones and membranes) would degenerate.. 'cause of the lack of the gene X's manifestation (and wouldnt ever grow up again) ... this very lack would also revert his bone structure.. (fullfilling them with tissue), and he would loose his mutant characteristics little by little (vision, fat amount and all) .. that would be like killing a bird! Warren, do not take that shot! :eek: hehe we know he wont :)

Nope, I believe the two scenes are independent of each other. It was just coincidence that the church they were going to use was across the street from the "Worthington" building. And the scene described above was in fact the one where he explodes from the window.

I guess Angel was created for symbolism. He's HOPE in flesh as the cure has been made because of him. The writers had done great things, it's in the director where the shortcomings come.

The deleted scene that you are talking about wasnt deleted per say, its just that apparently the scream from wolverine in the "deleted" scene was too intense so they had to tone it down slightly into the version you see on film. Personally i cant tell the difference between the two but hey, thats the censors for you :\

They couldnt show the full deathstrike fight either because just like in daredevil when bullseye fought elektra, the censors wont allow too much violence towards a woman from a man to be shown on film but it doesnt matter if its the other way around. Its complete crap it you ask me...

Ya know, I was hoping that Ratner and Co. could have made something sadly poetic about him being an angel trying to cut off his wings, and then accepting himself for who he is, but I doubt they'd have time to do that. Pity, since the clip of young Angel really gutted me and X3 would have been like, the most serious CBM if that kind of intensity was kept up during the entire duration of the movie.

Plus Ben Foster is a total cutie, and I want to give him a hug the way I want to give BR's Superman a hug. *huggles* He looks waaay less dorky in motion than in the production stills. Plus the full wingspan shots are totally awesome!

He was introduced in this film... and now he's at the mansion, his role might expand... But they couldn't just stick him in a uniform straight away.

The scene with young Angel was very powerful imo and set up the emotional aspect of this movie nicely.
