- Nightcrawler was also in X2 and a major character but that didn't stop them from dropping him.
- Sabretooth could've returned, as could've Deathstrike.
- Just because he joined the team doesn't mean squat. He still could've done anything, like say, Rogue.

Maybe in Xavier's eyes, he had what it takes to become a full-on X-Man.

No. I just saw the commercial and that pic is from it. The tv spot is really quick (like 20-30 secs) and the whole iceman thing is like 5 secs. It looks really cool, I wish I had a tv tuner to record it.

Yeah, I think these spots are meant to hype up the action and bad-assedness (I like inventing words) of the movie as opposed to the more dramatic trailer/spots. Definitely geared towards a younger audience, which is a necessary marketing tool.

ugggghhh, everything Logan says is so stupid his dialogue is awfull in this. From what I've seen so far Penn and Kinberg can't write dialogue for him at all.

Thanks panzertank. Great clip!! I just love how Bobby is engulfed in flames, then ices up and SHUTS PYRO DOWN!!!! The Beast and Wolverine exchange, I love it and it's always fun to see wolvy get knocked through the air/roof by someone more powerful than he. Wolvy takes a punch like no one else and keeps on ticking. Great stuff!!!!.

What else should he say? Like real life not everything that everyone says holds much meaning. In fact most people say nothing but bull**** all day. Also they can't just show all the meaningful dialogue out of context in a commercial, it wouldn't make sense, so they show the dialogue that people will get. A little joke like the one in discussion is what is used in a trailer.

Does anyone else think Iceman looks different in the tv spot than he does in the pic spidey1111 took of him, maybe it's the tv's contrast/lighting but Iceman looks like he's covered in white frost in the tv spot but in the pic he looks more icey, he's darker blue. I prefer the pic personally.

Edit: just loking at it again, I think it's just a brightness issue with the tv, Mystique and Beast also look kinda whitish blue/very light blue. This is what I hope is the correct lighting and how Iceman really looks!!...

Nah spidey took the pic straight off of the tv. The difference is just in the quality/brightness/contrast etc.

Boooo! They're giving waaaaay too much away - I don't mind seeing Bobby ice-up, but seeing him use it to evade Pyro's flames and take his nemesis out with a head-butt, that just spoils the entire outcome of their fight.
