This is a brilliant image. I'd love to see it on the big screen, though it's far and away from the Iceman we currently have.


It's a truly awful image. And would not work on screen at all. An iced-up man in a jacket and trousers, the image all stretched out and distorted. No, don't see the relevance of that as a reference point at all.

I just picked up the most recent Wizard magazine and there's been speculation on the board here on whether or not he'll "Ice Up" or not. If this is already posted somewhere in the forums then merge this...though I didn't see it. However in the issue it said Bobby will be "Ice Up" and be covered by an Icy shell in at least one scene.

This curiosity is murder. I wonder how his transformation to ice will look like. Maybe the ice will emerge and starts to bathe around Bobby's body like how metal did with Peter in X2?

We're having a hard enough time getting Storm off the ground! I've no knowledge of Iceman flying, so best keep that to your personal fantasies. He could rise on a column of ice, or maybe slide on one if it was strong enough, but no flying for Iceman. It just sounds silly.

My anger towards this film for the way they are treating Cyclops is fighting with my HAPPINESS for what they seem to be doing with Iceman. In that second trailer Iceman looked GREAT. I'm gonna have to see this film now, and its all because of ICEMAN. And Shawn Ashmore is gonna KICK ASS!!!!!!!!!

Basically the ultimate solution to the "mutant problem."

X1 had Logan as the loner joining the team and romancing some of the women-folk.

Gambit would've been just redundant, and he would have taken away from Wolverine who, for better or worse, is the focus of the movies.

I was never a supporter of having Gambit in X-men (1). Gambit should be a newcomer, not an established player. And the storyline should not center around him. He's not a lead-type character. And no i don't want him to be a Brotherhood member either.

Eventually when Gambit is on the team there will be major trust issues which could set things up for Mr. Sinister and possibly Apocolypse. Especially if you give Angel 2-3 movies to really develop and eventually become Archangel.

I was studying the rate of speed it took for him to ice up water, since he'll be riding an ice slide. And at least I could have an idea of how fast he may be travelling on it. Then again, he may be freezing it 10 to 20 feet in front of him while he's riding, so it would account for the slow time it took to freeze the water molecules ahead of him... Essentially, so he won't fall short, or fall off.

Bobby will be a leader to the younger New Mutants who are new to the team Collossus will kinda like second in command, Leaders in training. Wolverine can never be a full time leader, if Cyke takes off for a while like he does in the comics (not die) they will wanna train some kids to be future leaders.

I don't think you've been catching up on current events pal..... In the most recent issues of Ultimate X-Men, Rogue made love to Bobby on the floor of the X-Mansion. When she absorbed Gambit's powers, it negated her own mutant power, and now she's able to touch anything or anybody she wants to.

The x3 veid game will have lots of details about Bobby and how his progresses to the film, he's on hsi ice slide the entire time in the game, racing against the clock so it would be silly not to see it in the moviue and fighting giant fire serpent (Pyros doing no less) so we'll already see Iceman vs Pyro here no doubt

Well I don't agree with the treatment of Cyclops and some of the other character going into this film. I have ALWAYS felt that Ratner, Kinberg, and Penn are gonna be alot better than what Singer, Hayter, (and whoever the other guy is) did. Singer's vision of the X-Men was never something I agreed with.

When you think about it, Singer didn't have that great a budget to work on. Even Beast was scrapped for X1 because the CGI would've been too expensive.

I think now that Iceman is part of the team we'll see him in all his glory, regardless of who the director is. Singer put Bobby in an X-uniform at the end of X2, so Ratner didn't really have a choice.

Plus, the Iceman/Pyro conflict will make for a killer action scene.

At the end of X2 it was clear Iceman was becoming part of the team for the next one with him getting a uniform, and Daniel Cudmore was signed up to do X3 when Singer was still thought to be on board so I think these characters were to be expanded by Singer

I dont think Bobbys personality has been set in stone. One of the things I most want to see from this movie is Bobby becoming the joker, and also powerhouse he is in the comics. I pray Warren's arrival will allow for the more jokey Bobby to come out.

I hope so, too. We've seen Bobby being portrayed as this serious teenager. I'd love to hear him make some jokes and laugh just once. I loved the scene with Bobby and Wolverine in the kitchen in X2. :up: I saw a photo of Beast, Bobby and Storm laughing outside of the mansion and that's a good sign.
