In the comic they are right? Not sure, the only comic i have with Leech is an issue of original x factor where skids(i think) sits near because she cant control her power.

Well does that sedate his powers?
Well, seemingly Leech's powers are self-controlled, but it could very well be something that could be changed for the movie..
I wonder what kind of dialogue that they'll give Leech...Is Cameron gonna play it straight-up like a normal kid, or is he gonna have some kind of speech impediment..

Stuttering Stanley. :p
Either that or she's distracting him while some other members of the team get to Leech... just a thought.
I think they mentioned in the set report that they've shot the part (with the internet press present) where Kitty and Juggernaut get to Leech so i doubt this very much.

"........SHUT UP!..KID!"
LOL!
Nice interview, Ellen, seems to be really grounded under all the praise she's getting after Hard Candy. I think we'll be hearing more of her in the near future, hopefully in an X-Men related future.

Yep.
Kitty distracts Juggernaut while Beast and Bobby go to retrieve Leech. I think I read from somewhere that both Beast and Bobby were on the set of Worthington Labs one time.

I think it was in one of the set reports..

The original "leaked" "script" had a scene where Beast broke into Worthington labs with Bobby and Kitty.
The set report said Kitty and Juggs were in Worthington labs racing to find Leech
9livesKitty
03-25-2006, 03:16 PM
“The scene they were filming that day was one where Juggernaut and Kitty Pryde are racing against each other to find a certain mutant within the labs (who I later discovered was Leech). Kitty Pryde phases through the walls while Juggernaut takes the more direct approach. The camera was set up for an overhead shot to see the two characters running through the walls. David Gorder…”

If she solidifies her hand while its in a person's chest, the molecules of her hand would fuse with her victim's.
So she won't be opening a Temple of Doom anytime soon.
That's not how she does it. She phases her hand in, phases the organ, and squeezes it in phased mode.

One would assume that they are both after something.
And what you said earlier about Kitty running through and not pulling out organs all the time. Its because thats nother character. Like Jubilee can destroy level buildings but she dosent because well... she is Jubilee, the name says enough (if you dont know what jubilation is, look it up). Kitty is a trained ninja so she uses her powers to help her in combat it would be out of character if she just walked up to people and ripped there hearts out. She only usses that in certain situations, i.e Endsong the whole "I have a plan" ect ect.

im pretty sure shes not a ninja in this movie... lol... but other than that, yeah i guess shes not that type of person... still... in a situation where mankind is in jeopardy i think she should take some pretty desperate measures... she can take out magneto easy... yet she lets him do his thing while she runs around with juggs...

This has nothing to do with Talent. Bobby looks like he's 20 or so, if Kitty was to serve I romantic interest, I think she just looks too young in the film!
Has anyone posted the picture of Kitty and Iceman kissing on the fountain/frozen pond? Has this been mentioned before? This may be old, but if not, it is featured in the new Starlog. The cover is shown here.

As noted, it is an ugly cover, but the article does share some interesting info.
Wolverine is the one who directs Kitty in so far as what to retrieve from the lab in which the Juggernaut chase occurs.
It also makes note that one of Page's favorite scenes is one in which she and some other X-Men are dropped from the X-Jet a number of feet in the air.

You missed the entire point altogether.
Yes, looks is the operative word. What makes you think looking a certain age directly correlates to actual maturity and worldly sentiment...?
By your logic - and everyone's, it would seem - because Ellen Page has been deducted to look of twelve years of age, more or less, she'll therefore act like a childish, peurile teenager with nothing better to do than smack 'Cube left and right.
It's really odd too, because Shawn Ashmore and Aaron Stanford are about five-ten years older than their on-screen counterparts, and nobody raises a pitchfork to this rationale?
Oh right, yes, Ellen Page's case is different because when compared to an older-looking Robert Drake, she is a toddler in phasing nappies.
This may or may not further support this argument, because it's a little irrelevant but remember, in an early performance of Ellen Page's, she played a 14 year old teenager who is lured by a paedophile into his home in a film called 'Hard Candy', but she basically emerges as, in l33t speak, the queen of ownage on him.
And by the way, Ellen Page was chosen because it was extolled by the screenwriters and the filmmakers themselves that she herself exuded the personality of Shadowcat spot on. What's the matter? Want a more older-looking actress whose expertise varies from Page's and thus would have brought a different interpretation of Shadowcat - the nuances and physicalities...?
Grow up. You're no better than your persons of pre-judgement.

Don't tell me to grow up when you don't even understand me. You're telling me not to prejudge, but that's exactly what the public audience is going to do! You have to appeal to the people and be careful. I am only throwing this out because I think many people are going to get pedi-overtones from all of this. And what's this about "shadowcat", I thought it was Kitty?
Halcohol

Shadowcat is Kitty Pryde's X-Men codename, though she won't be referred to as "Shadowcat" in the movie.

Shawn Ashmore and Ellen together pedophilic? That's a massive exaggeration, and I dont think anyone will get that vibe. Ellen is 18 and looks it. Not to mention, pedophilia refers to pre-pubescent or pubescent boys and girls. Ellen is way past that stage.

My bad She seriously looked to be around 12 in the pictures i've seen, but maybe I just need to see her in moving action to get a better gauge of what she looks like.
And Shawn doesn't exactly look old either. He is turning 27 this year, but he looks like he is about 14 years old. Ellen looks young, but she looks like 17-19 year old girl. So... a perfect match. Those backstabbers. Poor Rogue. :D :p

Ellen Page is going to be a star. She’s scary good, and this film gives her a meaty role that she really sinks her teeth into. She lets it all hang out. I’m glad X3 is coming on the heels of this performance, so people remember to pay to attention to Kitty Pryde.

*Page on the costumes: "The suit is pretty surreal. It's a little confining to be honest. But this is X-Men. It's how they look. I remember shooting the first scene where we were all in our costumes. It was unbelievable, but you get used to it. I have to admit it's pretty cool. I mean, here I am, playing a superhero."
*Page on her crazy stunt: "It was a crazy stunt. I was holding onto Shawn Ashmore, and I was dropped 50 or 60 feet. All of us were up on wires. I remember looking at Halle Berry, and she turned to me and gave me this big smile. I was like being a seven year old kid in my little imaginary world.
Pedi-overtones, ha! That's funny.
Sure, the team of lawyers is just taking its time to organise the documents. :)
You could have said the same about Angel (200+ years old) and Buffy (16 years old) even though both actors are very close in age. This is of course, an inverse case.
And incidentally, in the comics, there was some romantic chemistry between the then pre-adolescent Kitty and an older Colossus, early 20's, but hell, it's an endearing relationship because well, Kitty can actually act mature, compared to the comic version of Bobby, who is about the same age as the latter and is deemed to be somewhat as infantile.
Be a little more open minded, and don't jump to conclusions, particularly if you don't know the dialogue and concourse of a relationship that 'seems' outside the norms of society.
By the way, you contradicted yourself with saying that the public audience will 'pre-judge', yet they are going to 'watch her in action', as you have said in a later post you will do, so that is an absolute oxymoron.
It's not you that I don't understand. It's your rationale (and everyone else's).
Someone mentioned That 70's Show. Just but an example of the 'age difference' between actors and whom they play.

No, I said they would pre-judge as they watch. Then I was corrected when someone told me that she wouldn't look that young in action, so the pics I've seen must have been a little innacurate, if you were paying attention. I was wrong. I thought she was and looked literally 12 years old.

No, don't misunderstand, it's annoying. I said I thought she was a 12 year old actress or something, and I feared the public would see that too. I didn't know she was older.
Art? How did we jump to that? Maybe we should be scrutinizing your disconnected thought process instead...
Whedon is a hack, even as an entertainer. The dialogue in his material makes my skin crawl. It's all so blunt. Perfect for a childrens novel though... I have no idea how you jumped to the subject of Art. And this is 2006, yet you still ask for a definition of Art...
Art is now a middle-class persons game. It's obviously been hijacked shortly before the 20th Century with Impressionism, and onto the Dada movement, Expressionism etc etc. What can contitute as Art in this day in age depends on what social circle you want to ascribe to. In other words, you are left to your own devices, and can try to find "Art" references in films (some of which have more than others). You decide what Art is. If you really want something that can be widely agreed upon as Art, you won't find that much in films. Most films follow filmic conventions, but the films that ascribe to "high Art" are going to be the ones that fit into an Art movement. So if that's what you are going for, go see that stuff, Expressionist, Surrealist, Post-Modern films namely by the last great artist of film Michaelangelo Antonioni, whatever... But almost all films don't try to be High Art.

If you didn't know - and thought that the team behind X3 didn't know what they were doing, the crime of paedophilia would have left a stink long ago.

Ah, if Whedon could spawn that kind of 'hack', so can you. I'll be watching your television show soon.
That was my point. Art is subjective, and when one is, subjected to a wide range of mediums, not exclusive to the print medium.
Anyway, I meant art as in artistry: ie, a storyteller's flair, mastery of filmmaking techniques, and so on.
And I have a disconnected thought process...? :D

If you want flair, you won't get it with Whedon. He doesn't know a thing about subtlety. He does with a Hammer what anyone with half a brain can do with half a brain could do with a feather. Some of his dialogue is downright childish.
Now all we need is scans from the magazine
All of the pages.

From the tv spot:
~ Kitty phasing up through the floor in front of Juggernaut, who was apparently stuck in it, then giggling and turning to run
Like in Evolution!

The scene where she phases up through the floor where she stuck Juggernaut into it is so awesome. You all will love it when it finally gets online.
If Kitty phases Juggernaut into the floor, shouldn't he be in some serious pain or mutilated to some extent? . . .

'This just, I'd say out of nowhere but it really captures the amount of nowhere that it's out of.'
I can't see a child saying it.
Of course, I've never heard anyone else dispute the dialogue. And of course, he's penning Astonishing Xmen.
Compare his dialogue of the past to current mediums like The OC and so forth.
'So....'
'You know what?'
'Yeah man, I know what you mean.'
I see that a lot happening.

Maybe he'll groan a bit and the floor will just crack up and pop a bit after she sticks him in there...
