I had one major problem with the premier episode.....when the little girl was missing, with the hurricane starting....NO MOTHER (or father) would just leave the area without finding her...even if they were not friendly with the ex. As a parent (and a divorced one with a kid)....I can tell you that as much as we mutually disliked each other...we would BOTH be walking those woods looking for our missing kid. It's things like that that makes me have trouble with the series. If you want me to believe the plot that aliens are invading....you have to first get the normal everyday things right.

So true, and did you notice the guy who wanted beer told her father she was only gone 5 minutes, but when he finds her they looked like they were driving for for a while, she was a little girl how far could she of gotten ?

loved it. the lead girl is so Ambiguous you don't know if she's evil or if she's not.

I watched it tonight for the first time.

I gotta say I really like it.

Sometimes the acting seemed over the top, but generally it's pretty good. That guy that plays the sheriff is really good in my opinion. You really want to like him, but you know there's something later on that will force you to hate him.

The other leading man is kinda annoying though. Seems like his character is written too much to the mold they had set out for him.

Other than that, and the fact it's ABC trying to come up with another LOST, it seems really good, I actually enjoyed tonight's (10-12-05) episode of Invasion moreso than LOST.

Well I'm a few episodes behind (Larkin was ran over and picked up by a fisherman who showed her a squid. Anyway my family and I are debating if the doctor has been taken over in fact or is her maternal instict kicking in and supressing what is happening to her??

When did it state Larkin's baby would be Alien???? Granted it seem indestructable due to the amount of times she has been in a situation where it could have been lost but foe now that baby is human.

All the hybrids are collecting emergency supplies because they know another hurricane is coming. It seems Szura is going to finally unleash his attack on the town and he gives a speech on how it's time for them to rise up. Russell gets fired from his job. Jesse gets his gun taken away from his dad and he continues to hate the hybrids even more. Jesse and his "normal" friends get these guys to hold onto Tom so Jesse can talk to him on what has been happening. The guys capture the one armed deputy and nearly shoot him to death and Jesse gets the gun and almost shoots one of them until Russell showed up and stopped him. The deputy survives and Tom has lost control of the situation on the island. Szura had other plans and Tom is looking for him. Szura calls Tom on the cell phone and tells him how the park ranger is becoming an annoyance and Szura won't tell Tom where he is. Then Szura is shown in the hospital and he used Tom's daughters cell phone to call him. Finally Szura walks out of the hospital with the doors music playing in the background.

That's the best I can do and I typed this pretty fast so I apologize if some of it doesn't make sense. I can explain in better detail later if you wish me to.

They are these dudes the black kid knows. They are portrayed as men for hire. The black kid suggests that they should ask them to intercept Tom, so Jesse and his friends can talk to him. ABC is halting its Invasion, while NBC has decided to pull the plug on Dick Wolf's Conviction, reports Variety.

NBC executives were still hopeful that Conviction could be saved. But another poor performance this week may have sealed the show's fate. Conviction lost a big chunk of its Las Vegas lead-in this Friday and, worse, dipped at the half-hour.

As for Invasion, the series was a personal favorite of ABC Entertainment president Steve McPherson. But despite a huge promotional push behind the show, viewers simply never warmed to the concept.

I think a main problem with the ratings is that its on to late. But hell its on after Lost & thats how I pretty much got into it. I was bored & was to lazy to change the Channel & checked out the First Episode when it Premeired & like it. So it being after a well known Hit Show like Lost should have been a boost. Although this is really not the type of Show you can just peace everything together within the first 10 Minutes of an Episode. You have to watch it from the beginning.

The only hope we have of the CW picking this up is the fact Aquaman got cancelled. So this can easily replace that. I wonder if they filmed Alternate Endings for the Finale ?
