As for the finale, I hope they get to Earth and it's not here but instead there's a moon sized space station and a lot of rubble. Then the Galactica gets drawn into the station's tractor beam and Apollo and Starbuck rescue a princess while Tigh turns off the tractor beam. Callie and the Chief hide in a closet. Everyone gets stuck in a trash compactor and blah blah blah...

I like the fact that if "Razor" is a success that we may get more Galactica as straight to DVD movies after the last season. Maybe they'll do "Caprica" that way since it doesn't look like it's going to become a series.

I don't mind it. Cain gave Gina some pretty heavy looks during the epis, when if viewed from a new perspective, kind of fits. As long as it isn't an in your face, Six is Bonking Cain Hardcore Sexfest (like all of the greatest baltar moments). Mind you, it'd be cool to see the admiral lay down some 'corperal punishment'. Who wouldn't want to see 'that'. But anyhow, it wouldn't fit the character. If it's not spelled out on the chaulk board. I'm happy.

And its cool they are going to relases this to DVD as well, so we have it and its not attached to the season 4 box set.

Season 2 I got was £35 which is cheap for a boxset lol but season one was £50 I was like what lol so will look online instead lol.

But I will be buying Razor since I think Cain is great :up:

Re-watched the last three BSG eps last night. New guess as to what's going down...


* Hearing Dylan's "Along the Watchtower" triggered four of the final five.
* Dylan song transmitted from a beacon within the nebula, for the specific purpose of activating the final four/five. As they got closer, it got clearer.
* Either the fifth isn't on Galactica or has a different trigger.
* When the four got together and acknowledged themselves, that turned the power back on and sent a signal out to alert the Cylon fleet.

* Cylon fleet that just arrived will do one of two things:
A) announce that they have come to meet their four, as called
B) try to figure out why the heck they are with Galactica

* when the survivors (whoever they may be) get to Earth, they'll find that their entire journey - the entire series - is actually implanted memories a la the ones Picard relived in that TNG episode with the flute. They'll find out that they're ALL Cylons, and that the memories/journey are their civilization's way of remembering - memorializing - their past and the humans whom they made extinct. Reliving all of it is a part of their training.



Hubby *completely* disagrees with me on that last one. Hates it, in fact; thinks it would ruin the series to have it end that way. He much prefers Olmos' guess that the human fleet will arrive at Earth at long last, only to be shot down by Bush before they can land.

New question, now that the four have been identified:
What's going to happen with Chief & Cally's baby? Isn't that baby just as much half-Cylon as Hera? Or is Hera *all* Cylon?

I'm guessing the Chief'll keep the fact that he's a Cylon under wraps for as long as possible. The Cylons themselves didn't know the identities of the final five models, so his son will probably be safe as long as no one knows that he's a Cylon. Once that information gets out, I imagine everyone will be after Nicholas as much as they are Hera.

I actually kind of like your ending. It's a spin on the whole "it was all a dream" ending, which I usually don't like, but if it shows that the Cylons win and eventually evolve a level of sentimentality towards their human creators enough to memorialize them, it might be cool.

Especially since I read that he didnt renew his contract to be a regular or something like that. What if they just said all that to throw everyone off? Eeh, I dont know, could just be a crazy theory.

Well, it would make ME happy. I really liked him, was rooting for him & Dee to get married, and was angry when not only did they kill him off but they had Dee semi-cheat on him with Lee first (and then Dee & Lee married). UGH. I'd love to have Billy back. Better yet would be to find out that Dee is a Cylon too, somehow. I thought it was more likely that she was than that he was, since Cylons don't tend to be cute and puppyish.

this isn't what I meant. Do you think Anders, under some cylon imperative, had a cylon urge to convince Tigh to kill Ellen. Could there be a link between Ellen's death, and the mere fact that tigh is actually a cylon. Was Anders' 'cleaning house' so to speak, without even knowing it?

The one with the dog has to be the opera singer. He was leaving the resistance clues when they were down on the planet under Cylon "management" and he was supposed to be working under & for Baltar. The dog bowl was a key prop in those bits. I think the dog just kind of hung around.

I always find BSG to complicated to be spoiled. Yes, this may reveal something that will happen, but how, why, when, and where are not answered.... but it's enough to get me excited for next season:

I was a little worried, because I really couldn't see where the show could go for the last season. I mean if the last 1/4 of the season is devoted to finale stuff, then that only leaves about 15 epis of free narrative. This angle sounds cool. Especially if the toasters are cooler than the skinjobs when unleashed

change your BT ports, they should be automatically set at 45000 or something... put it up to 50000 and change. That got me around my bandwith limitation

Given the beating from fans (and lost ratings) that serialized dramas have taken from mid-season breaks, resting Battlestar Galactica for an extended period would seem like a poor move on Sci-Fi's part.

How about this idea...the fleet arrives at Earth and finds only fragments of the 13th colony left or perhaps only trace evidence that the pioneers had made it here at all. As the story unfolds, and the fleet explores more of the planet...it becomes apparent that they've arrived on Earth in our past and in order to stay on Earth and not "stick out" they isolate themselves and their advanced technology on an island they name "Atlantis."

or...

They hide their technology until Earth born humanity is capable of using it responsibly and in the last moments of the finale we learn that it was the crew of Galactica and the fleet that are responsible for wonders like the Pyramids and such?

It sort of ties in with the theory that early man was visited by aliens and/or that those aliens were responsible for some of our ancient wonders and references in ancient history to advanced technologies that they couldn't have developed themselves or understood.

Just an idea...whaddya think?

Sci Fi seems determined to beat Galactica down into obscurity. Their first majorly successful, critically acclaimed series, and all they seem to want to do is withhold it until all interest in it drains away.

I for one am happy it's ending at S4. Last season was good, but I think if the upcoming season wasn't going to be the last, I'd be much less excited than I am now. BSG just doesn't have a chance to over extend itself, because of it's rumored short life, which makes me happy.

Kind of like farscape. I think if farscape had gone on to a 5th season, it really would have fallen hard. Cancellation was the best thing to ever happen to farscape in hindsight.

That being said, I don't want BSG canned, but i am happy that the show is ending, before they try to stretch things too far, and we end up with invisible vipers and flying motorcycles

I don't think Farscape would've crashed and burned that completely, but I'm not sure if I would've honestly preferred more seasons to the soul-scorching awesomeness that was The Peacekeeper Wars.

BSG, on the other hand, definitely only has so much material left to cover. There's only one unrevealed Cylon left and the overarching story had that feel of going into seriously building towards the climax towards the end of last season. I just wish Sci Fi would quit jerking us around for this last season.

2)at no point, has there been any reference to the final five being literal gods, not once mentioned in this series, so I don't know where you are getting that info. The only reason baltar wanted to see them was because he wanted to be a cylon, to aleviate the guilt for things he'd done in the past. The only way to do that was for him to confirm that he is a cylon by discovering who the final five are. We have not yet been shown the final cylon, so this is still up in the air (but my previous documented opinion on Baltar still holds, he is human, and to change that would destroy one of the major messages that the show is built upon)

3)D'anna did not go mad after seeing the final five faces. She died, then got boxed



and besides, if we are talking about gods, in the BSG universe, there are 12 Gods, not 5. So it's either all twelve cylon models are gods, or none of the background material we as the audience have been given, applies to what is going to happen. ---that's another loose end for the final season, 12 models, 12 gods, what is the connection?

He's been around for a confirmed period of time, because we know him an the old man go way back. So with that in mind, could this be one of the reason's tigh is such a drunken disaster all the time?

It was clear that all our unkown cylons were going a little bit crazy in the finale... especially those younger more stable ones. Tori, Tyroll and Anders seemed to be going a little wacko. Tigh on the other hand, was already wacko, and he didn't seem any crazier than usual. So do you think that Tigh's issues are tied up in some subconcious secret that is slowly poisoning his soul (ie. the concept that he's a cylon but doesn't know it)

Look at all the cylon 'agents'. When ever they find out that they might be cylons, they all go a little wacko. Boomer shot herself in the face...

"if you were a human on earth, and discovered that there was a fleet of ships heading towards you, with a 50 000 strong army, what would you do?" The answer was send an army of robots out to eliminate them before they got to earth. It was a great thread over there.


Anyhow, there are a lot of things in the series that don't add up. Such as, why is the temple of five, located at the first settlement of the 13th colony? And if it is a human temple, then why is it the place where the final five's faces are destined to be revealed there?

so linking these two paragraphs together bring up some implications. 1)Maybe cylons existed in the time when humanity lived at peace on Kobol. 2) which could mean that the 13th colony has their own brand of cylons 3) and maybe the 12 models of human cylons are actually judges, sent by the 13th colony, to determine wether the survivors of the 12 colonies are worthy.

It's pretty stretchy. But what if the human model cylons are emissaries of the 13th?

Indeed there is a few gaps in the story but with the next season I will think they will get filled. It will most likely turn out that the human Cylons preccedd a lot of the back story and history of BSG.
