I don't even go on that site anymore. :o

But you don't think him sidin' with 50 is an L? Maybe if this was back in '02, when people actually liked Fif, but not now. Especially not after all the **** they've said to each other.

Like I said no worse than Curtis dissing someone for attention every album or in this case releasing 6 videos, dissing Kanye, then making peace with him on stage and then dissing him again and then making peace with him again and then dissing him the next day...

50 and Nas aint exactly 50 and JA. A couple of jabs on record and on stage is hardly anything to sneeze about

People were already criticizing him for signing UNDER a dude that f'd his baby momma. He'll get even more **** for teaming up with the rap world's most hated ego.

Not really.... Both Jay and Nas are married and got million dollar deals. LA Reid hands the papers and makes the moves and whether you liked or hated HHID it definetly didnt have any Hov influence sans the collabo. If Hov had influence Bleek, Freeway and the gunners would get that Rick Ross/Jeezy type push.

Carmen?

I mean Carmen is the one who took the L. She had a baby with both Nas and Jay ( except she aborted Jay's kid) and then put her and there's business out there in a book, while the two men she two timed are friends on some Usher/R Kelly. Nas knew they were fing back in 99. Hence why she says in the book when Super Ugly hit the radio Nas called her cell laughing saying "Carm your boyfriend is on the radio". I mean look at Nasir, he never cares what people say. Give him some trees, a book on African horroscopes and a horror flick and he's good.

I call BS on that.

For a rapper to become a credible enough actor for the Academy of Motion Picture Sciences to recognize him twice for completely different roles in a span of six years is respect by itself. To become popular enough at something (putting asses in the seats to see your films) you have to have some sort of ability in that arena.

His performance in Happyness was stellar.

Well we're just gonna have to disagree. Not everyone who wins an oscar-- much less those that are nominated --deserves one. Arnold and Sylvester used to put asses in seats and they can't act for *****.

There certain MC's that just have to be in the top 10 and Pac on impact and productivity and influcence gets it. I dont even like dude like that. Plus post 94-96 his lyrical ability improved. Of course Big, Jay and Ra are in there. Slick Rick would be like 11 to me cause he had like one maybe 2 good albums and G. DIP UNIT? Jim Jones joining G-Unit??? (http://nahright.com/news/2007/09/06/dip-unit/#more-2121)

http://nahright.com/news/wp-content/images/jimmy-zeke-juelz.jpg

So the cat’s out of the bag. Curtis interviewed Capo for some BET special yesterday and it’s airing on Monday. For some reason I thought maybe that would stay on the low until next week, but I should’ve known that wasn’t gonna happen.

So now, the rumor is that Jimmy is going to join the Unit (http://allhiphop.com/blogs/rumors/archive/2007/09/06/18541856.aspx). What a dumbass move that would be. Capo already has somewhat of a track record as a soloist and a rabid Dipset fanbase, so why would he ever son himself with a move like that? So what, you’re gonna run around yelling G-Unit now? You lost.

It’s not like you’re Mobb or M.O.P. and you need G-Unit to make you relevant with the kids. And then what happens if Curtis flops? Because we all know that’ll be the end of the Unit once and for all. Just keep hawking your skull belt buckles and Sizzurp and pray for another "Balllin" Jim.

Update: End of discussion, its not happening (http://www.missinfo.tv/?p=262). Or is it, and this is all a big smoke screen? Does anybody give a ****?

If Jim Jones is moving over to G-Unit, nothing's ever gonna become of him. If he ever manages to cut an album, it'll either get shelved, or do double wood. M.O.P. and Mobb Deep's careers are no better than, if not worse than they were before signing with G-Unit. And I'll never forget Mobb Deep in particular, bragging about their "signing bonus", some Ferarris!! Nothing of REAL value, just some damn sports cars! Ig'nant muh-f***as!!

Whatever happened to the hungry Detroit kid that rarely did any featured songs, and when he did, absolutely MURDERED the track? This kid outshined Hova, and held his own with Biggie on a single track. Infinite potential that's gone to absolute waste.

Eminem has fell off hard. I haven't seen that much of a steep decline since Prodigy. Some dudes just don't know when to f'n quit.

Till I collapse I’m spilling these raps, long as you feel 'em,
Till the day that I drop you’ll never say that I’m not killing them
Cause when I am not then I'ma stop pinnin them,
And I am not hip-hop and I’m just not Eminem.

Nice. I'm surprised the 2 even showed up to the same photoshoot. Didn't really think there a place enough to hold those 2 egos in. Watching the video though, it's no surprise 50 is clearly the more confident one. Ye has always seemed to back down when it comes to people like Dre, Jay, Em, and Fif.

Tell you what...I sure did buy Ye's album and am not TOUCHING 50s though.

I like it better than Be. Just more range in there for me. Be was a little too overproduced for Common IMO. He needs a more simple type beat. The Corner was the PERFECT beat for him but then Ye went and stamped his brand of beats all over the place. It just didn't fit for Comm.

Honestly, if Dre can maintain it like that, the rest of us have no excuse. Get your ass up in the morning and do some grunt work.

Not really. Some of us actually have to work. Dre ain't gotta do *****. Fool probably started working out cuz he was bored of phukking groupies.

It's a good record. Whether or not it's as good as whatever album you want to compare it to is pretty much up for debate, but I haven't seen anybody in this thread who doesn't at the very least think it's a good record.

I liked it better than Be...but then again I though Be was overproduced. I'm more of a Like Water For Chocolate type taste.

How you feel about Graduation overall? I think I like it a lot more than I did on my first listen. Still his weakest effort imo, but that's not really saying much considering his work.

Thanks, deaf people might not hear the music but we don't have any problems feeling it. I can place my hands on a speaker and feel the music, and thanks to speakers today we can damn well feel it :woot: a simple search is all I need to read what the lyrics are

Wow. So with, say, an uptempo song you can feel all of the percussion and bass?

usually I can tell from the vibrations itself what music instrument is being play, I do go to concerts and sit in front and can see and feel what's being played,
hard to describe but I learn how to tune myself to the sounds. *shrugs* best I can say how I do it.

Not to be an ass, but what do you mean by "really great stuff"? Pretty much every lyrical content on 'Curtis' has been the same **** we've been hearing from 99% of other rappers out there. He didn't even try to do a meaningful song. At the very least, 'GRODT' and 'The Massacre' had "Many Men" and "A Baltimore Love Thing". Here it was just.....guns and sex.

Again, not being an ass, but.....what does that do? I mean asides from the obvious of "feeling" vibrations?

Just to play devil's advocate (since I never have and never will voluntarily listen to a 50 cent album)...if he had put a "meaningful song" on there would that make the album good to you?

It sure as hell wouldn't matter to me. He could've thrown in "Hate It Or Love It" and it still would be a terrible album...with one good song.

Of course not. The album would have to contain more thought-out content. When I heard songs like "Hate It Or Love It", "Many Men", "A Baltimore Love Thing", "Hustler's Ambition"....I was at least hopeful that his talent hadn't completely waned out. So I can forgive him Just a Lil' Bit (pun intended) if his album falters.

Here...just no. He's had such a long time to refine this album, but came with nada. Another Aftermath artist bites the talent-bucket. :down
