Hi since that crap movie BATMAN & ROBIN Poison Ivy was started as campy character along with Mr Freeze and Bane. We know Poison Ivy is good character She needs good treatment of Nolan & Co what could be good story to tell? Who should play her? Do you think she won't be featuring in future Batman movies?

I agree. Poison Ivy should be rectified. If given the right treatment, she could be a fantastic character. As for playingher, that's though as there are a few good choices. But she won't be coming back. I would go for Lindsay Lohan. for the role. She'd dfenitely have to regain her red hair, and probably put on a few pounds, but once she's got all that out of the way, I think she could do the role. Lindsay, I feel, is one of the few people in Hollywood who can act today. Some may disagree, but I think her and Rachel McAdams are the best young actors in Hollywood. However, if it so happens that Lindsay gets passed up, then without a doubt I'm voting for either Charlize Theron or Angelina for Jolie. Sorry to all you Angelina for Catwoman supporters, but Jolie is Ivy, not the Cat.

Davis and Moore are excellent choices. They're both a little old, but I think they still look the part and are great actresses. I also really like whoever suggested Kidman and Anistion. All four of these would work well.

As hot as Keira Knightley is, she is way too young for the role. She would, however, make for an awesome Batgirl if she should ever appear again. She's a great actress and would bring justice to the role.

I'm going to bring up a suggestion for Poison Ivy that I don't hink anyone has mentioned as of yet. She is mostly known for her comedic work on a hit NBC tv show that most people will guess when I mention her name, but I think she has everything it takes to make a great Poison Ivy (even though Theron is still my top choice). That woman is:

Uma would've been excellent imo, but again, bad direction. She realized it was a piece of campy crap and she went with it.

My other choices would have to be either Thandie Newton (very pecullar choice, but one I think could work), Monica Belluci, or Angelina Jolie (she's already got the hot activist thing going for her.)

Something that annoys me though is when people cast soley based on the appearence of the actress in relation to the character. Thats why I loved the Thandie Newton selection because, even though she may not be caucasian and red haired, she could pull it off, through decent acting and a red dye job.

She's pushing 60, yes, but honestly she really doesn't look it. She's a beautiful and talented actress and I think she can pull it off no matter how old she is.

I actually met Susan once. My school did a production of The Rocky Horror Pciture Show for our annual June play (I played Brad, fort hose who've seen the film). We wrote a leter to her about it, and she showed up at the dress rehearsal. It was a wonderful experience.

All that being said, Theron is still my top choice, but Susan runs a pretty close second.

Ivy should be young, amazingly gorgeous, like an unattainable beauty. That IS her main weapon, is her attractivness.

My choice, is Angie Everheart, is 36 and maybe THAT is even too old for the character.

Nicole Kidman, I think would have owned the role, had she been in "Batman & Robin" and not Uma. However, Everheart is a gorgeous, young, natural red head....nail on the head if you ask me.

I'd also agree with Pressly (28) she is beautiful, could pull of the character, Ivy isn't THAT complex, and is young enough, and will be young in the sequels' time frame.

btw, while Ivy's attractiveness was her weapon in the Schumacher movie, couldn't it also be explained as pheremones (if she were a botanist for instance)? i don't think she has to be drop dead gorgeous; just someone who Bruce would either fall for or want to protect in some way. i think Nolan's Ivy should be someone who relies on her image as being delicate, unassuming, or harmless to cover her crimes. does anyone remember the comic book version of Typhoid Mary? that's what i'm getting at. "Mary" wasn't a knockout and it didn't matter because Daredevil couldn't see her. she just had a quality about her that attracted people to want to protect her. i think that makes the most sense for a plant-motifed villainess. even if Angie Everhart were in her early 20s, i wouldn't accept her because she's not very delicate-looking. far from it. i'm still sticking with Bryce Dallas Howard or Thandie Newton. either could pull off demure or the 'victim' role, imo.

I thought Uma Thurman was great as Poison ivy. Probably about the only thing that made the film watchable. And interestingly enough, in a recent interview she said she loved making the film, and would have been happy to reprise the role if they'd continued the old franchise.

I'd love to see Uma Thurman return to the role, but that won't happen, since Nolan will want to disassociate himself with everything Schumacher. But i really can't think who else I'd want in the part.

I may be on my own here, but Isla Fisher may look the part but I don't think she could play it too save her life. I'm not saying she can't act but I don't think she had the required mix of seduction and danger that Ivy needs. Maybe I'm wrong. Marcia Cross all the way for me.
