All jokes aside, a Keaton/Reeve teamup would've been unbelievably awesome.

There was one! The 1994 romance-comedy Speechless starring (and reuniting) Michael Keaton and Geena Davis (They were together in Beetlejuice), had Reeve playing a lesser role as Geena Davis' ex husband back to win her love. So Keaton and Reeve are both trying to land Davis, and they even share a scene or two together.

So they weren't playing Bats or Supes, but they still teamed up. It's very odd to see, knowing the tradgedy that would befall Reeve not long after, and then his death years after. :(

Although it's interesting to note that the two had good chemistry. I wonder if it came to their minds on set that they were together, both having been Batman and Superman respectively? I don't think it's possible to have the two in a film together and have the crew not bring it up.
