The pilot has just come on, and the pre-opening credits scene was pretty good. It left a good impression. I think the show might have a future. One red flag popped up in the credits.

Great show I will be watching it. Tuesday's used to be my favorite night during the Buffy/Angel block. I got this show now at 9 and Boston Legal at 10pm (Denny Craine!). Now all I need is something from 8 to 9. And I don't think Bones will be it.

So are you a believer or are you a sketpic?

I'm a believer. I have been planning my own Supernatural road trip for this summer, sr. to fr. year of college. Starting from NY going to MA, going down to WV to PA then back to NY. I've been reading lots of ghost reports, most of which usually have the same story. Such as teachers that go all "The shining" on their students. And when I was reading all this over and telling another believer about my beliefs about my house I felt a hand grabbing me by my back. Ever since then I've known that ghosts are definitely out there, and are unfortunately in my bed room and the basement (where everyone is afraid to be alone in for too long for unexplainable reasons).

So, just wondering if you guys have any of your own supernatural experiences? And do you think others, like myself, will plan their own road trip into the realm of the supernatural after watching this show?

Just to alert you guys I am working on a fanfiction for Supernatural. It is rather a prolouge than a show that takes place next. I've posted a preview scene, "when I told told dad I was afraid of the thing in my closet he gave me a 45... I was nine years old!"

I think I made two good choices for new shows (this and Reunion) althogh after hearing so many good things about Prison Break, I might tune into that. But I thought this show was awesome, better than most horror movies these days. It seems to have the same kinds of scares as the episode of Angel called Hellbound, for those of you who watch Angel. The only problem i have with this is it will probably mostly be standalone episodes, but I may start to warm up to that.

The show was pretty good, like the mystery/urban legend vibe it's got, also took care of the girlfriend problem right off the bat which I liked, she would've become an annoying WB cliche real quick. I hope it's just the brothers solving mysteries/urban legends while looking for their father and whatever keeps haunting their family, keep relationships with girls out of the show, it'll kill it.

I enjoyed Supernatural. Mostly because the borther realtionship between Sam and Dean is infinitly more beleivable than most TV families you see. The first scene they have is a fist fight. And when Sam recognizes that it's his brother he fights him some more. Reminds me of the relationship I have with my younger brother.

He could be passing the torch onto them, as all he said was that something killed their mother, but the father is the only one that knows what really happened, if anything.

We have stories similar to the Lady in White here in Georgia. Here's a summary about one of the incidents here.

Fairburn - Peter's Woods - There's an old cemetery in the woods & they are haunted by an Amish girl who was in love with a non-Amish boy & her father found out & told her she could never see the boy again, so the girl went into the woods & hung herself. Sometimes you see her ghost on the side of the road & stop to pick her up & she tells you to go to her house. Once you stop you see her father run out of the house & start screaming at her & she runs into the woods. If you chase her, you get deep into the woods & feel something brush the top of your head & you look up to see her body hanging from a tree. Then you look again & see nothing but the remnants of an old house & a small family cemetery.

Here's a cool site with listings of hauntings or supernatural occurrences.

I'm tempted to agree, but if Supernatural aired after Smallville, it would be directly opposite ABC's supernatural mystery show Night Stalker, and the viewers would be even more divided.

Supernatural had some interesting ghost scenes, but I'm not sold on the brotherly buddy-buddy elements of the show. I'm going to have to be convinced a bit further that this isn't just a poor-man's X-Files aimed at The OC-watching crowd.

Triligors

Well, I know it would definitely beat the crap out of Night Stalker without a doubt. Supernatural deals with actual paranormal and well, supernatural and bizarre occurances. While Nightstalker, from the look of the PILOT is a weird 'When animal's attack' show. Seriously the whole Nightstalker Pilot centered around a pack of angry wolves. Not scary in the slightest. Overall, it's not that great a show, not even scary- good/average is the best adjective for it.

David Nutter is behind the X-Files, and his spin off into the supernatural realm works alot better. Scary and tense throughout the whole episode, not just for a measly Nightstalker five minute dialouge scene. Great characters and already evolving mythology. Great direction, great lighting, music, casting, sets, etc.

And, yes I saw the Night Stalker Pilot- through torrentspy- but I don't know if they can even fix that episode. It was about angry wolves, I don't think that will go over well when they are promising a weird scary show from the creator of the X-Files. Having it on Animal Planet, well that seems like a much better idea for the show since from the PILOT it doesn't even cause that much of an interest. Heck the smaller bits were the only slightly tense parts in it. Such as the flashbacks to grisly and awkward murder scenes. Bottom point, I don't see much of where they can go. The original was short lived because it went into the bizarre and not horror, unfortunately I think this remake will be the same.

WENDIGO TONIGHT

Powers/Abilities: The Wendigo has extremely superhuman strength and endurance. He has extremely sharp claws on each hand. He has very limited intelligence and acts mostly from instinct. Although physical damage has stopped Wendigos for short periods of time, magic has been the only process that can permanently stop a Wendigo, by either transferring or removing the curse.

Origin: The woods of Northern Canada are cursed such that if any human eats the flesh of another human being while in the woods, turns into the Wendigo creature. The creature roams the woods and eats the flesh of other humans until the curse can be lifted.

The fierce wendigo (or windigo) of Algonquian Indian legend is a towering, forest-dwelling wild man with anthropophagous tendencies (i.e.- it eats people) that can appear in animal or human form, even imitating the people it devours. It has been compared to the werewolf legend as well as that of Bigfoot. The terrible wendigo might also be thought of as the North American variation of the troll, being a hulking bogeyman that prefers to dine on naughty children most of all. The wendigo originates as a person, man or woman, who offends the spirits by eating human flesh, or is bitten by another wendigo.

The legend varies in the details, but the outline of it is basically always stays the same: lost hunters or people that have stayed too long in the state of famine (especially during the wintertime), turning to cannibalism as a last resource, will become windigoes or be inhabited by its spirit and then be drawn towards eating people. When this happens, asides the cannibalism, they become violent and antisocial. Even after returning to civilization and eating normally, the want for human flesh will return to the "windigoes". This craving will endanger the rest of the community. It is believed that the only way to kill the windigo and the malevolent spirit is to burn the body of its host into ashes.

Though all of the descriptions of the creature vary slightly, the Wendigo is generally said to have glowing eyes, long yellowed fangs and overly long tongues. Most have a sallow, yellowish skin but others are said to be matted with hair. They are tall and lanky and are driven by a horrible hunger.

But the Windigo, however, is not immortal. Some say that like a were-wolf, you can kill the creature with a silver bullet.

Though most tales recount the Windigo as being cannibalistic, dangerous and violent, the "host" can still try to live far from civilization, deep into the woods, to prevent anybody from being its next victim. Some Windigo-inhabited people would even commit suicide to prevent hurting anyone else.

Even into the last century, Native Americans actively believed in, and searched for, the Wendigo. One of the most famous Wendigo hunters was a Cree Indian named Jack Fiddler. He claimed to kill at least 14 of the creatures in his lifetime, although the last murder resulted in his imprisonment at the age of 87. In October 1907, Fiddler and his son, Joseph, were tried for the murder of a Cree Indian woman. They both pleaded guilty to the crime but defended themselves by stating that the woman had been possessed by the spirit of a Wendigo and was on the verge of transforming into one entirely. According to their defense, she had to be killed before she murdered other members of the tribe.

It is said that the Wendigo’s full powers have never been recorded. The creature excels at stealth and is nearly the perfect hunter. The creature knows every inch of its territory; every cave, hill, tree and bush. It can control the weather through the use of dark magic. Because of this, the Native American tribes of the Canadian north have actively hunted the creature in the past. The most successful of these hunters was Jack Fiddler, a Cree Indian who claimed to have killed at least fourteen Wendigoes during his lifetime. He was consequently imprisoned at the age of eighty-seven after the murder of a woman in his tribe whom he claimed was on the verge of a full transformation into a Wendigo.

Despite Mr. Fiddler’s alleged success as a Wendigo hunter, the creatures are notoriously hard to kill. The have a few weaknesses as far as weapons are concerned: iron, steel and (like other monsters) silver. The most gruesome method of disposal is by shattering the creature’s ice heart with a silver stake and then dismembering the body with a silver axe. Should anyone be brave enough to take up Mr. Fiddler’s occupation, one could begin by searching the north central regions of Canada. Kenora, Ontario, Canada has been given the title of “Wendigo Capital of the World” by many. Sightings of the creature in this area have continued well into the new millennium.

Windegos hunt much like a wild animal, tracking its victim without being seen. It likes to toy with humans, making noises to scare its victim into a hysteria. Once a person begins running wildly through the forest he becomes easy prey for the Wendigo.

Killing a Wendigo is difficult. Silver is its only weakness. Bullets made of silver can damage the Wendigo, but to kill one a silver stake must be driven into its heart. Then a silver ax must dismember the body. The heart must be buried in a silver box, the head must be burned, and body parts must be put in inaccessible places.

The third type is a kind of tall hominid creature, somewhat like Sasquatch. Unlike it, though, this beast seems to relish itself in violence and preying upon anything it can get its hands on, humans included. It seems to be nocturnal, for it is said that it seeks out its victims during dawn and eating them when darkness falls. Flesh might be its chiefly diet, but it is said that it eats rotten wood, swamp mosses and mushrooms.

There is also an account by American president Theodore Roosevelt of such savageries. In his book Wilderness Hunter, he tells of a tale that was told to him by an old mountain hunter, named Bauman, about how his friend was killed by a creature half-man half-beast during one of his hunting trips. Four distinct fang marks were found on his companion's neck.

To conclude, whether it be a supernatural demon of the woods, the spirit of cannibalism, a subarctic zombi, the phantom of hunger, a personality disorder, a vile, savage creature or simply the loneliness in the woods felt by lost hunters, no one is the same after encountering the Windigo.

Well, DW took place in an apartment not a forest type of area. There are such things as haunted ghosts, especially children that have drowned in lakes near the woods and their ghosts remain their haunting the place and if a child gets close to the water the spirit screams in fear that the past would repeat itself. While some may call this a scary ghost, I call it helpful- heck, if it scares but saves lives I'm all for it.

Point is, there are alot of stories of children drowning and becoming ghosts because of what happened. It seems like there will be an interesting town conspiracy. As for the hand coming out of the water, probably to heighten it one way or the other. I think I remember reading though that the actual monster wasn't the ghost, but a fractional part of the community. Should be interesting.

Wendigo, not as interesting as the PILOT. Still good and focused on the facts of the case. Which was great. Not scary, interesting though and that's good.

Didn't really care for the drowning ghost-boy episode. Not much payoff at the end, although the ghost-kid's head poking up out of the water was kind of creepy. Since they never found the kid's body, I wonder what made them so sure that the ghost wouldn't come back after the little boy and his mom later on.

Since next week's "possession at 30,000 feet" episode seems to get back to the overarcing mystery of what killed their mom and the girlfriend, it could be a good one.

I remember that the early episodes of The X-Files that returned to the ongoing Mulder vs aliens storyline were some of the best ones. However, as X-Files went on, those storylines got muddled and boring, and the stand-alone non-alien episodes became the better ones.

Well, the ghost was specifically linked to kill the sheriff and the other guy and make them suffer. If they are dead, no reason to kill the woman and her child because the sheriff would not suffer- he's already dead.

I personally liked this episode alot better than Wendigo. Mythology episode next week seems amazing. And Act III was tense, even if Act IV wasn't that tense.

MvTrlrMsc, I don't think it's so much filler as the stucture of the show, the two brothers going after another myth/thing that goes bump in the night every week. I don't think it's gonna be really serialized like a Lost or 24. Sure they'll have episodes dealing with what happened to their father, mother and Sam's girlfriend, but it'll be more in the background for most of the series.

I'm going to Mary Jane's grave site this summer on my supernatural road trip, obviously inspired by the show. Another version of Bloody Mary.

Also, another X-Files reference. Don't know how many could have caught it, "we don't have time for THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE speech." Not as evident as the Mulder & Scully reference, but still another X-Files reference which was awesome.

So, far:

It's called PILOT. Every beginning show of a series is called PILOT, the first law and order series episode? PILOT. The first Simpson's episode ever- PILOT. First X-Files, PILOT. It's the title for the beginning episode of every new series that comes around. It's just an interesting way to say "lift off" or
"beginning"

Actually not every beggining episode of a show is called Pilot it's just the Majority. Shows like Related, Killer Instinct and I think Prison Break didn't use Pilot as their first episode name. Correct me if I'm wrong.

As I suspected, the Bloody Mary ghost was presented almost exactly like Sadako/Samara from The Ring, right down to her jerky movements as she dragged herself out of the broken mirror. Still pretty spooky though. I liked how Sam was not ready to tell Dean about his psychic dreams foretelling his girlfriend's death, but I hope that bit at the end doesn't mean that Sam is going to become some kind of "ghost whisperer" - there are too many of those on TV right now.

I hope that Supernatural comes up with more original plots for episodes instead of just trying to capture the feeling of already-existing Japanese-horror concepts or old X-Files episodes.

Next week looks like a doppleganger episode. Anyone remember Twin Peaks? ;)

Ya, but the way it was told to me was that bloody Mary was a women who had lost her baby well pregnant and in her depression she committed sucide in her bathroom by cutting her wrist.
And you don't say just Bloody Mary, you say Bloody Mary I have your baby, three times well running your wrist under cold water in front of a mirror.

Another very good episode, like that they're slowing bringing he mystery of Sam's girlfriend's death into the plot of the show. Really liking the different supernatural urban legends being told. Only thing I didn't like about the episode was the horrible green/blue screen work for the car scenes, looked like something out of the '70s or early '80s, it was really bad.

I see what you're talking about, but Mary's movements were way off, It was not creepy at all. Even though they made her seem like Samara, I thought it was a good thing that they did. It seemed familiar and yet unfamiliar at the same time. Im kinda disappointed of how they're ending the episodes though. Mary crawling out of the mirror could have had more impact and scare factor but there was no music to add to the scare, and her destruction, the sound effects felt as if nothing big was happening. I never thought I'd be one of those people to complain about it but now I see how important and effective background music is.

Next week's episode looks really boring. I think it will be one of the bad episodes next to "Phantom Traveler" which Imo is the worst episode. It wasn't even scary at all.

The concept of the show isn't bad but the premise they setup doesn't seem very solid. How exactly does the dad know about all these strange things. Why isn't he working with his sons rather than running around leaving them weird clues? What are they doing for money?

Triligors

The dad doesn't know where the brothers are- have you even been watching the show?

"But we're going to hunt everything evil from here to the time we finally find dad"

Or some line like that. The journal doesn't keep telling them where to go. It's how to fight various creatures and spirits. It's no weird clues, no clues have been left. They're basically lost- no sign of dad, no way to get to dad. Seemingly bad end, that they won't stop trying to follow in hopes that one day they might find a clue.

Money?

Gambling. Poker. Credit Cards of those helped, etc.

In the PILOT. He doesn't continue to just drop bread crumbs, the PILOT was the beginning of the trail which led to Black Water Ridge, Colorado where the brothers hit a dead end- so to speak- and are trying to find another way to dad. The cell phone wasn't really a hint to any location because there wasn't coordinates to lead them or anything- just an old recording.

I stopped watching this show after the Pilot & first 2 Episodes. I hate the fct that they are just driving around hoping something comes up. It was MUCH better & more interesting & Story Wise made more sense when their Dad was leaving them Clues. I think if Wb don't get their ACT together soon with this show it won't last & so far everyone I know watching this show says it sucks. The Pilot was good but after that it went down hill fast. Gotta be a record for a WB show.

There will be clues randomly throughout, but it wouldn't make sense if the father was at all of these places and did nothing about it but used it as a clue. Dean and Sam are looking for him, but will kill everything they find in the process. Below are two scenes that sum up the show

Sam: Dean…

Dean: No you’re not fine, you’re like a powder keg man it’s not like you. I’m supposed to be the belligerent one, remember?

Sam: Dad’s not here. I mean that much we know for sure, right? He would have left us a message, a sign, right?

Dean: Yeah you’re probably right. To tell you the truth I don’t think dad’s ever been to Lost Creek.

Sam: Then let’s get these people back to town and let’s hit the road, go find dad. I mean why are we still in here?

Dean: This is why {Holds up their dad’s journal} …This book. This is dad’s single most valuable possession everything he knows about every evil thing is in here. And he’s passed it on to us, I think he wants us to pick up where he left off, you know saving people, hunting things. The family business.

Sam: That makes no sense. Why doesn’t he just call us? Why doesn’t he tell us what he wants; tell us where he is?

Dean: I dunno. But the way I see it, dad’s giving us a job to do and I intend to do it

Sam: Dean, no. I gotta find dad. I gotta find Jessica’s killer. It’s the only thing I can think about.

Dean: Ok, all right, Sam we’ll find them I promise. Listen to me, you’ve gotta prepare yourself. I mean this search could take a while, and all that anger, you can’t keep it burning over the long haul, it’s gonna kill you. You gotta have patience, man.

Sam: How do you do it? How does dad do it?

Dean: Well for one… them. {Looks over at Hailey and her younger brother} I mean I figure our family’s so screwed to hell; maybe we can help some others. Makes things a little more bearable. I’ll tell you what else helps. Killing as many sons of *****es as I possibly can.

Triligors

Sam: The trail for dad—It’s getting colder every day.

Dean: Exactly, so what are we supposed to do?

Sam: I don’t know. Something, anything.

Dean: You know what? I’m sick of this attitude. You don’t think I wanna find dad as much as you do?

Sam: Yeah, I know you do, it’s just—

Dean: I’m the one that’s been with him every single day for the past two years, while you’ve been off to college going to pep rallies. We will find dad, but until then, we’re gonna kill everything bad between here and there. Okay?

The other episodes were just forgettable especially "BUGS" maybe i wasn't paying attention but they got there at like night and in like an hour it was daylight already I don't get it. Spoilers (I found on some Supernatural LiveJournal community I'm on) of upcoming episodes "Scarecrow" and "Faith"

Scarecrow

THE X-FILES’ CIGARETTE SMOKING MAN, WILLIAM B. DAVIS, GUEST STARS AS A PROFESSOR OF PAGAN GODS - Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) finally make contact with their father, but he tells them to stop looking for him and sends them on another ghost-hunting job. Frustrated with their father’s evasiveness, Sam sets out alone to find him while Dean stays back to obey his father. Dean investigates a small town in Indiana where couples have gone missing the same day each year and discovers the farmers are sacrificing them to a Pagan God who takes the form of a scarecrow. While en route to California, Sam meets Meg (Nicki Aycox), a young backpacker, who unbeknownst to Sam is working for a demon. The episode was written by Patrick Sean Smith with teleplay by John Shiban and directed by Kim Manners

Faith

“ANGEL” ALUM JULIE BENZ GUEST STARS - While battling a demon, Dean (Jensen Ackles) is electrocuted, resulting in permanent damage to his heart and leaving him with only a couple of months to live. A despondent Sam (Jared Padalecki) searches desperately for a way to save his brother and believes he may have found an answer through a preacher who claims to heal the incurable. However, Dean and Sam discover that the preacher is getting help from the Grim Reaper who is trading one life for another he feels is less worthy. The episode was written by Sera Gamble & Raelle Tucker and directed by Allen Kroeker

Here ya go-

The episode began with the phone call from their father. (who is somewhere around sacramento now). Sam wants to go get him, but Dean insists on following orders and they head down to indiana, to a stretch of road where different couples had vanished during the same weekend, every year for a few years now. Sam freaks out about finding his father, and leaves Dean. Dean heads to town to ask around about the missing couple from the year before, but nobody knows them. Sam then meets up with some hitch-hiker girl on the road, but she leaves him pretty quickly. While Dean is driving around, his little ghost meter thingy goes off. He climbs out of his car and walks out into the orchard, and finds an old scarecrow (it is freaky looking). Dean then finds out there is another couple in town (their car broke down), and he goes to talk to them, but the local sheriff gets mad at him. Sam meets up with the hitch-hiker girl at a bus station, and the two brothers end up calling each other. The girl leaves town. Sam goes to some university to investigate some local legends, and finds out about a thing called the Vaner (sp?). Every year, you must sacrifice a male and female to it, and it keeps crops and stuff alive. But when Dean leaves, the Sheriff knocks him out. Dean and a local girl end up in the forest to become sacrifices, and Sam comes to save the day. They burn down the old tree that is connected to the scarecrow. At the end we find the hitch-hiker girl is actually something evil working AGAINST the brothers.

Okay, there it is. There's a bunch of stuff I'm sure I missed. But don't forget that it comes on again Sunday after Charmed. (I think) I don't know how to spoiler tag, so I hope making the words white works.

It sounds like their dad is hunting whatever killed their mom and Sam's girlfriend.

It also sounds like there's something out there possibly hunting them all.

It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out. Definitely one of the best shows right now!

We know why the Father vanished. To go after the Demon that killed his wife. I guess he waited all those years until he can thelp he boys so they will be able to take care of themselves & there is now a Demon after the Sons as seen at the end of the last Episode. Should be quite interesting.

So so far, we know that:

1) Whatever killed mom and Jessica is from California

2) Is a fire demon of some kind

3) Apparently preys on women

4) And looks like a man

And now we know that otherworldly figures are after the brothers, possibly working along with the demon (it could be possible the hitch hikers's father is the demon. She DID say she was heading/from California, I believe).

112 Route 666
We start off in Pauley, Mississippi where there have been two deaths on the same stretch of road -- car accidents involving black men, one of whom is Martin, the father of Cassie Robinson. Cassie is an old acquaintance of Dean’s whom he originally met in Ohio -- a newspaper reporter. They were lovers approximately two years before but broke up when Dean told Cassie the truth about his eccentric profession. She didn’t believe him, thought he was lying to get out of their relationship, and dumped him. However, she believes there was something supernatural about Martin’s death. Her father had been seeing a ghostly truck with a driver who’d been dead for 40 years just before the accident. So, she contacts Dean.

113 Nightmare
Dean and Sam are discussing Sam’s premonitions while sitting in the car. Sam’s worried about what’s happening to him. Dean tries to reassure and comments “You look like last week’s roadkill.” “Thanks,” Sam replies. “You always know how to make me feel special." Apparently Sam’s had a premonition about a family that recently had a tragedy. Dean’s idea to get in the house is to pose as clergymen. Sam comments “This has got to be a whole new low for us.” Father Dean and Father Samuel introduce themselves as junior priests from First Presbyterian (insert name of church). A man named Roger says it’s not a good time for a visit and begins to close the door, but Alice Miller, wife of the deceased, says she wants to talk to them. (Roger’s her brother-in-law.) Inside the house neighbors and friends have gathered, bringing food. Dean makes a comment about everyone being God’s children, Sam rolls his eyes, and calls Dean “Father Freako.” It seems Jim, the husband, committed suicide and their son, Max, found the body. Sam goes to talk to the boy. We skip to another scene and I think Roger has also died now. Max seems devastated, and Alice isn’t talking. Dean finds out a bit about Max’s childhood and he and Sam go to visit Max’s old house where they’re pretty sure something bad happened years ago. They find out from a neighbor, Kenneth, that Roger and Jim used to abuse Max and that Alice -- his stepmother -- never did anything to stop it. Sam gets a sudden horrible migraine and has flashes of a vision -- Max arguing with Alice about the way his father and uncle beat him, then killing her by telekinetically plunging a knife into her eye.
*Apparently, the boy Max, has some sort of connection with Sam.*

114 The Benders
Dean searches for Sam when he is kidnapped by a backwoods family who likes to hunt humans and use their body parts as trophies.

115 Shadow
Sam has a reunion with the girl of his dreams, Meg, but it turns out that she is in the grip of dark forces and is being used to lure John to his doom.

116 Hell House
Sam and Dean investigate the case of a maniacal ghost inhabiting a long abandoned Texas farmhouse known as "Hell House," and unhappily meet their comic alter egos, Ernie and Harold. "The Hellhounds"...Let's just say Ernie and Harold are the type of guys who are "ghost hunter wannabes" (meaning they get excited over seeing Dean's silver bulllets and seeing a ghost)....oh and Blue Oyster Cult will play a MAJOR part in the ep. :)

I thought Faith was the best ep. so far, and I like them ALL... well except Bugs. But everything worked so well. The Reaper creeped the hell outta me. So did the healer, even though it turned out he wasnt a bad guy. I also ended up feeling really sad about Julie Benz, but that may be because she is a Buffyverse star. And using "Don't fear the Reaper," very clever! :)

Wow! Great episode tonight! Thought it was gonna be a ripoff of the movie Carrie, but then moved more into a Supernatural mythos type thing. Sam's premonitions and possible emerging telekinesis. Dean had some great lines too. This show is getting better and better.

Great episode last night. Parts reminded me of Wrong Turn, and also the X-Files episode Home. Were they in W. VA? I know that state is supposed to be well-known for its Cannibal inbreeds.

I think those guys last night kept and ate the people after hunting them. That's the vibe I was getting after seeing all of the souvenirs that those people had.

Next week's episode looks like it's going to rock! Looks like they find their dad.

Next week isn't even a rerun, WB is showing movies all week. I think most of the major networks are pussing out of showing new programming because of the Olympics. ABC is replaying the pilot of Lost, so both Lost and Invansion won't be on next week.

I think it's ridiculous anyone who really wants to know what happens in the Olympics will have already found out because of the tape delay.

Schedule of episodes I got from one of the SPN LJ communities I'm on

16: Shadow (Feb 28): They meet up with Meg again, she lures them as bait in a trap for John. (no available sides)

17: Hell House (April 6, the first new episode after it moves to Thursdays): Comedic episode, the haunting is a fake (house is decorated as a Blue Oyster Cult album cover), but the ghost feeds on the stories and manifests anyway.

18: Something Wicked (April 13): Flashback episode. We see Sam and Dean as 5 and 9 year olds, and in the present they hunt a monster that almost killed Sam back then.

19: Provenance: A painting curses its owners and Sammy gets laid.

20: Dead Man's Blood: Daddy!'s back, and he's looking for a demon dissolving gun. The Winchester Three fight vampires, and Dean politely disagrees with his father, to the shock of all.

21: TBA: They are still with Dad.

22: TBA: Season finale.

HELL HOUSE
Read at your own discretion, spoilers ahead:

The Winchester Brothers investigate a house that is supposedly haunted. Only to discover that the whole thing was originally a teenage prank! Turns out that the prank had many of their friends believing that the haunting entity exists and through their belief in it, it has become a reality! Now the Winchester Brothers must hunt it down, while being followed by a tag team of paranormal documentors filming the whole thing (against the Winchester Brother's will). Best way to describe these two film guys is by saying- expect the Lone Gun men type guys. Great comedic episode with great scares. My favorite episode already.

Read the pages (forgot the link)- but someone will know it, to find out more.

What's up next?

Haunted House
A witch who targets children and had targeted Sam as a child!
Haunted Painting
Vampires
Another demonic follower similar to Meg

Also expect their father to come back. They finally hunt together in the episode Dead Man's Blood- referring to a pistol in John's possesion that is extremely dangerous.

FLASHBACK

TEASER

We don’t know much about the teaser. Only that we see a witch that is described as:

Shtriga
Type: Albanian Witch
Date back to: Ancient Rome
Feed on: Spiro Vitas (the life force) of children causing their bodies to wear out.

ACT I

The spoilers unfortunately pick up at the very end of the act.

FLASHBACK: INT. RUSTIC MOTEL ROOM

Dean is 9, Sam is 5

The Interior is a Rustic Motel Room. We see photographs of identical handprint phenomena. John Winchester is heading out to hunt the Shtriga, who is currently haunting Fort Douglas.

JOHN WINCHESTER
You know the drill, Dean. Anybody calls, don’t pick up. If it’s me, I’ll ring once, then call back.

Dean repeats the instructions, from his tone it is evident that he is frustrated. John notices this and accounts it for Dean slouching on the job, thus he reminds him of how important it is. These instructions cause the same reaction in Dean as “don’t go with a stranger” would to other children. John reassures his son that he doesn’t look down towards him, it’s just that he doesn’t want him to get hurt. John tells Dean that he will be back on Sunday, and instructs him to lock the doors, windows and most importantly to watch over Sam.

JOHN WINCHESTER
Anything tries to get in…

YOUNG DEAN
… shoot first, ask questions later.

JOHN WINCHESTER
That’s my man.

John leaves and we come back to…

PRESENT: INT. TARNOWER HOUSE

Dean and Sam are at the Tarnower House, probably the previous victim of the Shtriga. Dean tells Sam that he remembers the handprints…

DEAN
I knew this gig looked familiar. And I know why Dad sent us here… he’s faced this thing before. He wants us to finish the job.

ACT II

INT. MOTEL

Dean enters a motel and rings the desk-bell. Michael, 12 years old, comes to the desk.

MICHAEL
King or two queens?

DEAN
Two queens

Michael looks out the plate-glass window to see Sam waiting beside the Chevy Impala.

MICHAEL
(utters)
Yeah. I bet.

DEAN
What’d you say?

MICHAEL
Nice Car.

At that time JENNA SORENSON, Michael’s mother, beautiful and early 30s enters the room and tells him to take care of his brother. Michael tells his mother two queens and storms out of the room.

DEAN
Funny kid.

JENNA
He thinks so.

Jenna asks Dean whether he wants to pay by cash or credit, Dean says Credit. Jenna rings him through. Dean glances towards the room where Michael is serving his younger brother ASHER (age 5) a glass of milk.

FLASHBACK: INT. RUSTIC MOTEL

Young Dean pours spaghetti-Os into a bowl, Sam lays on the sofa watching a cartoon- probably a Hanna-Barbara classic. Sam asks his brother when Dad will be back, Dean tells him tomorrow. Young Sam asks what time, Dean replies that John will probably come home late. Dean tells Sam to come and eat his dinner. Sam looks over towards the spaghetti-Os and says that he is sick of them. Dean gets aggravated “You’re the one who WANTED them.” Sam says that he wants Lucky Charms. Dean scowls and dumps the Spaghetti-Os into a wastebasket. Dean gets Sam the Lucky Charms. Sam asks Dean if he wants the prize. “Young Dean turns, looks at him, helpless, exhausted, wishing like hell that Dad was home.”

PRESENT TIME: INT. MOTEL

Dean breaks out of his trance, embarrassed. Jenna holds out a pen and Dean signs.

INT. MOTEL- ROOM-LATER

Dean and Sam do research on what it could possibly be.

SAM
Alright… so it took some digging… but I found one reference to a Shtriga.

Sam and Dean discuss what a Shtriga is, it’s origins, and that it feeds on the life-force of a child.

ACT III

INT. MOTEL

Dean notices that Michael looks depressed. Dean asks him what happened. Michael tells him that his brother is sick from Pneumonia and that he believes it to be his fault. Dean attempts to assure him that it is not, but Michael won’t let go of his guilt. Jenna tells Michael to stay, she is on her way to the hospital. Michael urgently wants to go, but Jenna refuses. Dean tells Michael to listen to his mother. Dean asks Jenna if she needs him to drive. Jenna doesn’t want to be a burden, but Dean insists.

EXT. MOTEL

Dean and Sam help Jenna into the car. Dean whispers to Sam, “We’re going to kill this thing. I want it dead. You hear me?” Dean and Sam drive off. Michael looks on, saddened.

INT. FITCHBERG LIBRARY

Sam and Dean continue to do research. Coming up with such articles as ‘Mystery illness strikes children’ and ‘County health officials baffled’. Dean looks towards Sam, feeling very guilty. He tells Sam a dark secret that’s been haunting him about his past and probably what caused his eyes to bleed in BLOODY MARY: Dean mumbles that it’s his fault. Sam urges him to explain why he thinks that way. This leads us into another Flashback.

FLASHBACK: INT. RUSTIC MOTEL

Dean locks the door and sneaks out of the old Rustic Motel room.

He goes to the arcade to play Donkey Kong. But is kicked out by the old manager, telling him that they are about to close down for the night. Dean abides and returns to his motel room.

When Dean returns he hears a rasping voice in an ancient tongue. Dean is frightened and nears the door. Inside of young Sam’s room we see the Shtigra crouching over him pulling down the covers with it’s slender fingers. Dean opens the door, terrified and it notices him. Dean reaches for the shotgun and aims it towards the Shtigra. He is too afraid to fire off a round. John immediately rushes into the motel room and to the rescue. The Shtigra runs off. John rushes over towards Sam, checking him for injuries. Sam asks John what was going on, afraid, but not aware of what just occurred. John yells at Dean demanding to know what happened in a very stern voice that would cause a child to tremble. Dean admits that he went out, causing his father to get even more upset. “I told you not to leave the room! I told you not to let him out of your sight!”

PRESENT TIME: INT. MOTEL

Dean tells Sam that “by the time he (John) got back to Fort Douglas, the Shtriga was gone.”

INT. MOTEL- FRONT ENTRANCE

Dean and Sam tell Michael about the Shtriga. Michael doesn’t believe them and threatens to even call the cops!

DEAN
We’re telling the truth Michael, you gotta believe us. The thing came through the window, and it attacked Asher. I’ve seen it. I know what it looks like. ‘Cause it attacked my brother once, too…”

Michael takes a deep long breath and finally asks Dean if it has a long black robe. Dean says that it does. Michael admits that he did see it, but believed it to be just a nightmare. With deep regret Dean tells Michael, “I’d give anything not to tell you this- but sometimes nightmares are real.” Michael asks Dean why they are telling him, Dean replies that they need his help to trap the Shtriga. They believe that it will come after him tonight, giving them an opportunity to kill it.

DEAN
We can kill it. It’s what we do, me and him. We can make sure it never hurts another kid again. But we’re gonna need your help…

Michael looks terrified.

INT. MOTEL- ROOM

Michael had refused to follow along. Sam is not surprised. Michael comes to their room and asks them that if the Shtriga is killed might his brother be ok. Dean tells him that honestly, they don’t know. Michael agrees to follow along with the plan. Sam tells Michael that he doesn’t have to do this. To which Michael replies, “That thing hurt my brother; I want it dead.”

ACT IV

Sam and Dean have installed a night vision hidden camera in Michael’s room.

MICHAEL
So, what do I do?

SAM
You just stay there under the covers

MICHAEL
If it shows up-

SAM
We’ll be in the next room. We’re gonna come in with guns. Soon as we do, you roll off the bed, crawl under it.

Michael asks “what if you shoot me.” Sam reassures him that they wont, they have a very good aim. Sam asks Michael if he has ever heard a gun shot before, Michael tells him only in the movies, Sam cautions him to plug his ears. “It’s a lot louder than the movies.” Dean and Sam promise him that he will be safe. Michael goes to bed. Dean and Sam wait. It’s 3 a.m., still no action… then- it comes!!!

Last night's episode was good, liked the way the vampires were portrayed. Especially the weaknesses, worked well with the way the show is done, I only wish we got more info about the girl they "turned", but I guess she's still "alive", hopefully we'll see them turn up again in season two. The fighting between John, Sam and Dean was great, really showed off how screwed up the family has gotten. Looking foward to the final two episodes, should be a great ride with all three Winchesters together.

We are only half way through the series in the UK, its a great show with fantastic storylines and the hotness that is Jensen Ackles.

Are they picking it up for another series?

Yeah the Vampire episode was great.Too bad you can't show beheading on tv, because I wanted to see their heads lopped off.It would have been so badass.

The only thing that sucked about the vampires is that the show took most of their weakness away, like sun light, holy water, crosses, stakes. But it was a cool episode.

I believe the Dad said something about only "Direct Sunlight" hurting them & that they were afraid to walk in Normal Sun Light

Kazaire

Yeah, but the sunlight didn't kill them. He said it was "like a bad sunburn" to them.

Im kinda surprised they showed Luthor getting shot in the head, I thought they couldnt show head shots on tv either. but it was a great episode.

Well, it did have the parental discretion thing at the beginning of the episode. And I could believe them showing the shot in the head, it was the bloody lesbian kiss that was awkward.

This show is the perfect void filler (along with Lost) for Buffy and Angel.

I just watched the Nightmare episode with the telekinetic kid, do Sams telekinetic abilities develop throughout the rest of the season too?

I have no interest in this now. It started well and died imo.

No telekinetics have showed up since "Nightmare"

Captain Villa, what's changed your mind about this show. To me it seems every bit as good now as it did when it premiered. The only episode I haven't liked was the Bugs one.

TV.com has a new clip that's up. But, I am hesitant to say whether or not it is the actual Demon- seems way too easy.

I love this show, great, really great I think that the vamp episode is one of my favorites.

Gun question: though so is it the gun or the gun AND bullets that can kill anything?

Sawyer

^ I think its the gun and bullets. Not sure, though. But, the dad said only a certain number of bullets were made and a few had been used. But I dont know for sure.

Great first part of the season finale. Sam's premonitions working again, seeing Papa Winchester in action, nice bit with the Holy water. The demon is denied for possibly the first time. Loved the recap, great clips and a perfect song. Seeing all three Winchester boys working together was great.

As for the gun, it's both the gun and bullets that make it work and there are only 3 bullets left.

Last night's episode wasn't bad. I had wanted a little more of a throw down, revelation about the demon, and why it was targeting infants(?). I sort of expected the ending. But I love that demoness. She is hot. The perfect foil for the Winchester boys.

Well, you knew everything wouldn't be revealed last night since the finale is next week. I think this episode will work a lot better when we see the ending next week, the finale should've been two hours, just give us everything at once. I liked the few things we did learn about the demon, the signs of when and where it would be next. The one thing I really want to know though is why Jess got killed, it doesn't fit the demon's pattern, could it have been the guy Meg was with, he's got telekinetic powers, heck, he could be the physical form of the demon.

THE INTRODUCTION

The VIRTUAL SEASON has now split off into two forms of episodes, which will allow many writers to contribute.

I am working on the "scripts" part of the Virtual Season.

What is a script?

Look over the various scripts in the SCRIPTS section of the fiction archive. Also if you have been looking over the episode sides that have been released, those are in script format. The 'transcripts' in the EPISODE forums are as well. A script is typically 40-45 pages long. For those who want to contribute, but are afraid that they might not be able to write in this format I will guide you through it. Helping you along the way. And if that proves to be too much of a challenge you are free to write in prose form- since it is not a big issue for me as long as the writers themselves are happy.

What if I'm not a writer? Can I still contribute?

We are always looking for new members to add to the team. Whether it be beta reading or helping to set up the page.

Other positions:
1. Beta readers
2. Technical crew (those familiar with html format that can help put the main site together)

My main goal is to put together a great season in which all of my team is working together in a comfortable enviroment sharing ideas that better benefit the project at hand.

SUBMITTIONS

How do I get involved?

If you are looking to get involved, it is real simple:

WRITERS:

Write a one to two page scene. Pick ONE of the options. If you want to do more, do more. Doesn't necessarily have to be written in Script form. Preferably in script format.

Options:
- Dean and Sam in the Impala talking about whatever
- A 'teaser' scene showing a "monster" of your choice and the victim- be creative
- Dean and Sam talking about a case
- Dean and Sam researching a case- be creative

TECH CREW:

Show me any site that you have put together.

Is there a deadline?

No deadline, take your time. But, the faster you reply the better chance you will have of taking part in the first virtual season.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Am I guaranteed a spot on the team?

I would like to say that you would be, but that unfortunately is not the case. Seeing how there are lots, but also limited, spots available on the team. If you do not get to work on VS1, we will add you to the list and if a spot opens up we will call on you.

What would improve my challenges?

Submit your BEST work. Also, it helps if you submit more than one example of your work. Also DO NOT steal another writer's work and claim it as your own.

Also, writing in script format would definitely help a great deal and add to your chances of being accepted into the team. For those that don't no problem, I will help you learn the format. But, it definitely would help your chances.

So with that said. I wish you all the best of luck. I hope to be working with you in the days, or weeks to come. Once I have looked over all of the applicants I will make my decision. And then PM those who I have selected to be part of the team. Looking at the many talented writers we have on these boards that will be a challenge, so if you are not picked- you may still have a chance to contribute later on in the process of making this a great virtual season. I am really looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with, so with that- good luck and hope to work with you in the future.
