Greetings my dear Board Members. Caliph AKA Lightning Strikez! here...with some...questions.

Are you tired of trolls creating redundant threads? Does the negativity about this project, or disrespect to Bryan Singer sometimes pi$$ you off? Do you ever read a post and just think "That was such a dumb-azz post!"?

If so, release the tension! Just for fun and in an effort to humor ourselves a bit, this thread is dedicated to X3 Thread Blasters. Thread Blasters are clever gifs and imagery designed to add impact to posts and silence the wickeddy-wackest of threads.

During the time that I've been here at the Hype, I've seen some blasters out there that had me crying at my desk from laughter (and some of you actually created your own). I've gotten PMs asking me to forward some of mine, and I know I've asked other posters to send me some too.

Here's how this thread works:

*Create or find hilarious gifs or images and post them in the Gallery

*You may choose to host your creations for free at http://www.imageshack.us/

*NOTE: The images should preferably be X-Men related, but it's not mandatory--as long as it's funny and relatively clean!

*Use them in your posts in other threads if you choose to


For you creative, computer savvy members, I encourage you to create as many X3-related "OWNED", etc., blasters as possible and show off your work here.

No. Ant revealed that Ricky was his source for those scoops. The only thing we know for sure is that the pictures are legit, but don't trust anything you read in the scene descriptions.

We have been informed that poster "RickyH" is making quite a lot of false statements on these boards. He claims he has a small role in the film, which is absolutely false! Avalanche is also NOT in the movie.

Fact: SHH!--who has a relationship with 20th Century FOX--has banned that user.

Fact: Grounds for banning were for spreading fraudulent information.

Opinion: N/A

There is nothing in my statement above that is anything close to an opinion, as it is based upon events as they have actually occurred. Now, I recognize that some of you wish to continue to give him the benefit of the doubt, but as of today, the authorities on this site say he is not credible.

...common sense would suggest that the term "poser" certainly applies, as he apparently was masquerauding as something false. Again, there is no opinion there...that deduction is based on the statement of the credible sources who run this site. I deal with/send scoops into Mirko, Excelsior & Co. regularly (especially with regards to another FOX production, Fantastic Four) and I can vouch they are about keeping their credibility clean and releasing only the facts to fans.

Not true. Mirko said exactly why his thread was locked and why the user was banned. Sounds to me that you are looking for loopholes in this situation, and that's perfectly fine. And you're right, we'll truly know what's what come May.

But I'm sorry, SHH is one of--if not THE most respected comic-to-film related site on-line, and they've gotten that credibility within the industry by sticking to the facts. So you'll have to excuse me if I take their word over someone who says he's playing a character that no one else has said will be in X3. :rolleyes:

SHH has a direct tie-line to both FOX and Marvel--all the way up to Avi Arad himself, plus the marketing group in California. If they are stating this is false, they have a reason for it, plain and simple.

I agree with Lightning..this is one of the most reliable websites out there with a solid reputation. I just...don't want people to turn their backs and betray SHH.

Listen to me bro--Apparently RickyH was a different story.

FOX has nothing to gain from shutting down a source of apparent "joy" for fans. That only builds hype and enthusiasm for their own production which = more $$$. But if false, it could be getting fans all riled up and excited, only to be let down horribly by the end result if everything is different.

The point is, people were taking Ricky's words as GOSPEL, running away with it. Hell, even I launched my latest Woman Of The HEX thread based on those "scoops." And SHH and Retroman were also led astray with posting "possible citings" of certain characters revealed in Ricky's posts.

Question: Now, what if all of that is false? No Scarlet Witch. No Avalanche. No Sentinels, etc.? What will be the backlash? How dissapointed could fans possibly be after their hopes being lifted and then dashed? And what's more--how much BAD BUZZ will that create for this picture?

Never forget that productions have enemies in the industry--enemies who would love to see something this big fail. "Plants" could be from a rival studio, i.e. Warner Bros, a disgruntled former FOX employee...it could be anyone. That's why I said, you can be "anybody" on the internet...and only an IP check can say otherwise.

Bottom line: FOX saw folks jumping on a certain bandwagon and apparently has put an end to it today. It's really not as complicated as you're making it out to be.

I have high hopes for this movie...but there's the uncertainity factor for that lingered back just now..

I totally agree on the racist pictures but there is nothing wrong with a picture of a little fluffy dog on top of a cat. You can't see it's genitals. It's funny. It's PG material. Didn't you see Meet the Fockers or a zillion other g and pg films that show that stuff. It's not like you see the dogs weiner. He might just be pouncing on the cat and it looks like he's doing something else. It's a still photo. If someone is offended by that then they're probably a cat considering the picture's nature. LOL

Please anyone who is offended by the dog/cat picture please raise your hand. The racist stuff MUST go though. It's kind of humorous because they look alike but it can be taken the wrong way and lead to hatred here unlike a harmless puppy and pussycat.

And then there are the Austin Powers teeth that jut at odd angles.

He's so ugly that even the judges recoiled when he was placed on the judging table . . .
Unfortunately, Sam is suffering from a number of age-related ailments (congestive heart failure, lung and kidney problems) and will probably make no more public appearances, so he may have to cede his "World's Ugliest Dog" crown in next year's competition.
