RULES

You can choose to be any superhero or super villain in the Marvel Universe, as long as they:

Are NOT deities, gods, or people such as Death. People like Thanos and Silver Surfer and Captain Marvel and Galactus are okay, though...

Are true to the personality and abilities of the character, such as no Cyclops moving planets with his optic blasts, Dazzler defeating Galactus, or Aunt May as Galatus's new Herald...

This is a working environment, so you can travel to different places using your powers or vehicles. Don't miraculously pop up unless you're a teleporter or such...

You can reside in any place in the Marvel Universe. You can also travel off-planet, to such places as the Skrull homeworld...

Don't do anything RANDOM like chopping off board user's heads or what not, unless your a villain chopping off inanimate victims heads, then whatever, go with it, as long as it's not technically RANDOM...

Don't be killing people without reason. You know your weaknesses and strengths, what you can do or can't. Dazzler will lose against Thanos one on one, but may be able to use her allies to help her out or she can run away...

If you want to take part in this, just PM BNKRPG or any of the mods or list your name and character here and I'll put your name and character on the first post here. First come, first serve...

New RP'ers must start playing on Earth unless said so by any of the mods.

You can form supervillain gangs, superhero teams, alliances, the works...

You should have a hideout of some sort, at least in the beginning when your not traveling...

If you get killed, re-spawn somewhere else like in a hospital or morgue or whatever. Keep playing...

There can be a number of stories going on at once, using different people...

Act like your characters, ASSUME their traits and personalities...

There are endless places to go and endless things to do: ENDLESS possibilities so get creative...

There are limits to time travel, do NOT time travel unless you have talked to one of the Gamemasters…

There should be MINIMAL cussing and swearing in posts.
There will be NO By-passing the censors. This is a Hype rule, and NO exceptions will be made for the RPG.

People who disobey these rules, some more major than the others, will get BOOTED a la DEW K. MOSI. As she said about the last thread...

If a player decides to kill off their character, new players must have permission from the previous player (if he is still in the RPG) to resurrect that characyer

To find the ironman armor you have to collect 4 things in the regular missions, then it opens up a secret level in your base. You haven't to go into that secret level to find iron man armour pieces and there is one per act.

Well, playing a game about a blind guy would be kind of hard. I mean, if you play as being blind, it's a cop out graphically. And if you play being able to see stuff, it really doesn't give the experiance of being Daredevil.

If they did make one, they should make sure you have to play with a vibrating controller, so you can feel when you bump into things.

Screen Name: Powderman (aka: rejected villain by marvel...*waves fist in air*)

Character you would like to play on Earth: Kaine

Powers: Same as Spiderman, some more powerful. ie his spider sense can see glimpses into the future, the "Infamous" Mark of Kaine and the Sting of Kaine

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. Although most people hate clones I think he was simply misunderstood and with the right writer behind him he could have his own series. At the very least, a great addition to this RPG.

2. His internal demons made him indecisive on whether or not he should be good or evil. Which I believe most people face in their life in some sense. Everyone has a skeleton in their closet. Leading me to a question: Would he be considered a Villain or a Hero? I think he is a Hero with uncertainty.
As well, if he were accepted would he have the ability to show his wrath and switch sides from from time to time?

3. He was a loner, that became scarred for life and unwanted. So he was thrown out like yesterdays trash but he returned to show everyone just how powerful he really is.

4. Well since some of the characters that I wanted were taken, I thought he would be a good choice, maybe it's destiny.

5. His powers are like spiderman's and I grew up a spidey fan.

It may be a bit into the season before Thanos makes his presence known to some of the villains of Earth; still have a bit more setting up to do. But, with the resources at his disposal, Thanos would/could definitely make Taskmaster even more deadly than ever; strength augmentations enabling him to lift up a tank, speed augmentations putting his reflexes on the level of Spider-Man, fighting styles, like those of the Priests of Pama, that could put his martial art skills to the top tier of the MU, and tech like swords made of the same material as Gamora's daggers (can cut damn near anything), a stasis gun able to stop dead an enraged Thor, etc.

Yes, Taskmaster would/could make out like a bandit working for the Titan. :D

He's traveling a different road now. He's lost much of his nihilistic nature, and has turned more towards conquest now. I'm pretty much setting him up like a Darkseid in the MU in the sense that I'm giving him his own little empire for him to rule, complete with super-powered servants, a huge HQ in the former Enslaver's base and a few other planets, a grand army, etc.
My goal is to set him up as a major threat to the entire MU with his minions, such as the Fallen One and Skreet, and the like being able to be easily integrated or used into any story. With the large concentration of super-powered beings,
Earth will, of course, be a major thorn in his side, and thus a major target for his tyranny.

Well, obviously I don't plan on him even coming close to conquering the entire galaxy. If he were to do that, then the struggle would be gone, and, like Thanos, I find the fight more rewarding than the spoils afterward.

In a nut shell, he's tired of the same old dance and is testing his skills in a new direction: conquering (in the comics he tried going the way of the hero, but I'm not going that route). He's always been one to love a good challenge, and this is a major one he has set for himself; it’s just the next act in the cosmic odyssey that is Thanos' life.

With five moderators, at least ONE should have clicked back a single page and read things they did not get a chance to see before. I've the upmost respect for Electro_Uk, Midnight_Ice, Spiderman9x17, and from what I hear about Keyser. But honestly. That's five moderators. Something needs to change, or else things are going to break down fast. And even though Bats extended the offer of modship to me, I doubt that'll last long, seeing how it hasn't happened at all. I'd rather not have to leave this RPG, seeing how it is a lot of fun, simply because despite how few people are even participating, that "clean up" still can't be conducted here. And with that, I end my extremely unnecessary rant and go back to trying to get along with people.

Me, her, her parents, and her younger sister are going to Tennessee this weekend, and we are renting a cabin and are gonna relax and have some fun. BTW I think we all need to relax, the season hasn't even started so there is still time to get organized and focused. A French Gal, I thought I remember a post from before (maybe in the old thread), that you said you weren't sure if you will continue this season if it will be the same mod's... I am not sure if you were being sarcastic or joking at that time. So I am sure it might have confused some when you suddenly got upset last night over a short duration.

Over in the DC RPG, I played for one month as The Joker before my name was added to the roster. One month. Surely you could have managed to wait a day? And besides, as dtorn said, everyone knew you were playing. Putting you on the roster is a formality.

And as for what I would have done, as I said, I probably wouldn't have put your name on the roster. I've have left it for a day or two and then put it on. I don't think that aggressive tactics are the way to get what you want.

Twylight, someone who posted in the previous OOC thread alongside me, didn't know I was playing. She even hoped I was playing Psylocke, when she was there while I posted an application for Mandarin. So yeah, it kind of matters a lot. So call it a joke all you like. Being ignored time after time isn't exactly something to laugh about.

You weren’t ignored, however your posts about who you were going to play was posted in the actual IC thread. Something I naturally ignored and glossed over, because OOC posts go in the ‘OOC thread.’ Supposedly.
As for the application, I didn’t know that either because I’m used to the fact that you post the application in the OOC thread specifically made for the season you want to play.

Why do you ask? Because I do this:

…cut out several of the threads I post in so I can monitor, and take care of the questions, problems, and comments in the RPG threads.

I take care of the DC RPG threads, and monitor them, I hardly ever post anywhere else except there. I keep up on things here and insert my opinion sometimes but that’s about it.
Sometimes I even lose my place over there and thy have to guide me back. ^_^

Being ignored isn’t something to laugh about, or brush off, but it is the internet and I live being brushed off in this place for months and almost years.
No offense, but you’ve been posting on hype for how long, 3 months, maybe longer if you had a different screen name?
Even with my posting in the TB I was ignored, and I knew those people and joked and teased with them almost like here. It takes time. I’m still ignored all over the forums I post in.
When I joined this Marvel RPG I was ignored for one and a half seasons before I, myself gave up and quite.


If you weren’t included on the roster that meant that I was not told of you actually playing and I didn’t see your application in this thread. The fault is entirely mine.
I am not a GM over here, so I naturally thought they would take care of any slight tweeking of the roster.
However I should have checked better.

I would have PMed this but I like things on the internet to be out in the open and resolved, expecially something in which the blame falls on me.

My opinion, senior membership is a bad idea. Nobody should be above the rules, not people who've been in the RPG since the beginning, mods, or even you, the creator.
All that will do is create hard feelings between posters.

Bending rules is not a good idea. Johnny blaze is right. Why create an "upper class" and a "lower class" in the RPG? It will create animosty from the lower class members and the upper class members may bend the rules too much. The rules should apply to everyone and anyone.

Who would be chosen to be a senior member? People who post the most? Mods? People who have been here since the begining? Be careful who you choose. If this is implimented, be very careful.

It should come down to the poster in question's RPing ability and if they have the time to put in that kind of effort, not the fact that they've been here a longer time than someone else.

Heck, I've been here since the begining of Season I. Heck, even longer, when it was still Andrew's RPG I was a part of it. Would I be chosen for senior membership? I hope not, because I don't post enough. I don't post nearly as often as the other members in this RPG. I'm hoping to have time to post more often soon though, and I was hoping that maybe posting more often and getting more involved in storylines I would be chosen to have a second character, but you have to look at the overall effect. I've always been a minor player in this RPG. And I'm just one example.

While I've said before that I'm against the two character thing, if it does happen, there should be a prerequisite or two before someone gets to use two characters. They should have to be 1) a good RPer, able to work well with others and tell a good story, and 2) have the time to put forth the effort required in having duel characters.

If you don't have clear, concise, and most of all INTERESTING plans for a second character, what's the point?

A second character should theoretically be about innovation that you CAN'T do with the first. IF it's just to have a second guy to write about, it really doesn't do much.

I think I personally could be sold on the idea of two characters if and only if you were required to do a hero AND a villain, rather than two of either side. It would force two completely different writing styles and thus at least gurantee some degree of originality.

That's just my opinion, take it or leave it. But individual talent has little or nothing to do with the fact that secondary characters can detract from the RPG as a whole, as well as create a HUGE amount of further conflicts and divisions.

Am I not the only person who remembers when we, less than a few weeks ago, almost shut down the game because of how messed up it had gotten? What has changed? NOTHING. Everything hit a standstill, and the only things that have happened sense have been singular and irrelevant holiday posts. And the closing of the season.

For God's sake we haven't even got Season IV OPEN yet. And it's already a train wreck.
