Probably whatever version was newest when they got it. Photoshop is a specific program made by Adobe, despite the fact that it's become synonymous with photo-editing software in general. (Similar to how most gelatin-desserts are just called Jell-O, or tissues called Kleenex).

All the descriptions (the one being the person who actually seen Joker before the official photo came out, and he came to the boards and told us but no one believed him) describe his eyes as looking sunk in, most people are manipping his eyes to just look like black make up around the eyes. I think everyone knew of this, and then seen the sharp shadows in the official pic and were led to believe they are indeed as dark as they are in the official photo.

Damn good though, it yells Joker to me, and yet it has this very creepy look to it which is good.

I agree about the eyes, they're a little overdone. If you look at the area below his eyes in the official pic the black area is actually pretty thin. Above his eyes, I'm with others who reckon it's mostly shadow.


I wouldn't mind if his hair is like that in the movie.

Well yes of course, I'm not disagreeing with you on that. I'd rather his eyes be darkened and sunken in, but from what I understood we were questioning whether or not it was really dark, and whether it was make up. The second would sorta almost tie in with the first, but like I said, I don't think it is make up.

Note also in the official photo that he has a black, ashy tone to his skin on his cheeks. This could be the same thing we will see around the eyes.

i'm still under the belief that he was in some sort of chemical accident that really did a number on his skin. Not only bleaching it, but making it crack and severely irritating the upper layer of skin.

dark_b the light on Ledger is coming from *behind* him and he's leaning down and forward. There would be shadow around his eyes the same as there is on the front top of his head.

I'm not saying there'll NO black around his eyes, just that they won't be nearly as black as they look in that pic.

I know that they are black, but what I don't agree on is that it is make up :Edit: To be clear too, I also do not agree that they are THAT black either.

As to why, well, I haven't seen the movie so I couldn't tell you why, but if we were going to ask why then don't you think an equally valid question would be why he also has black down over his cheeks and all too? Look at the official photo, his eyes aren't the only place where there is clearly black on his face.

I think this is the type of dark we will see around the eyes. It seems like parts of his weren't entirely bleached white, or his skin is just messed up and it gives off a ashy, irritated, dark look.

I'd actually really like to see someone manip the TDK suit into a Robin pic. It's very similair to how I've often imagined Robin, being ninja and medieval. Main adjustments would be to make the torso more tunic or vest like and of course adding a head.

just used cheap Wal Mart Cream stuff... it worked suprisingly well..i had my girlfriend apply it for me, so mabye thats why it turned out so good. lol.

I'm pretty much self taught. I took a few art classes when I was at ages 5-10 but that's pretty much it. Looking at other art and studying what others do and I also have a couple of "How to draw" books. Then there is just a lot of practice and enthusiasm. I'm thinking of going to art classes again for extra credit at school though I still have a lot to learn 'cause I'm only 17 years old.

This was actually my third version of this picture. The first was a very rough sketch, then the more defined sketch which was very messy and didn't have all the details. This piece is the cleaned up version of that and as a whole it took a long time.

Again, I'm very happy that you all seem to like the drawing, though the lame caption was a last minute afterthought.

Oh, and Dark Phantom, those pics of yours are pretty good. You really should try that stuff rijuco said, I intend to try some life drawing myself someday when I get the chance.
