I just saw the colored picture of the Joker and I does look awesome. I would like to ask if anyone knows where I can find a good picture of Araon Eckart or Heath Ledger for a Batman poster that I am working on. I asked before and got pretty much zero interest, but would anybody contribute to a thread specifically for quality sources to be used for manips? Like keep updating the first post with links to the best images from Batman Begins and Official stills released for the new movie. Good sites with galleries of Bale, Ledger, Eckhart, Cilian Murphy, Anthony Michael Hall, etc. Maybe which pics are best to find the "flying bats" backgrounds or "Gothamesque" skylines. If anybody knew some good online Photoshop or other tutorials we could put them there as well.

This is a halfways decent fairly easy to understand intro for scanning a sketch, inking it, and coloring in photoshop. It takes just a little bit more than can be explained in a post and not everyone uses photoshop. Good luck, hope it helps.

That said, one of the first things I thought when I saw the new TDK suit is how much a similair design would suit Robin. Perfect ninja and medievil elements in a practical design.

^ Yeah it does make sense logically that they'd use the same gear. But visually it's just really unexciting and it doesn't fit the character as I imagine him. In many ways a movie suit for Robin would be so much harder to get right that Batmans. Personally I've always preferred a Knight & his Squire type thing with Robin. So it'd need to look a modern yet medieval and whereas Batman is the dark scary bogeyman type myth Robin should be a valiant and chivalrous champion type figure. Lots of flourishes and fancy details that are supposed to be admired. The BB suit looks too utilitarian for that.

Sup all...here is a joint I took a crack at (my first official teaser attempt) -- this was before they released any press pics from TDK. I chose to use the symbol from Bats' suit chest because I simply thought it was dope and could possibly change. I'm actually glad they stuck with the symbol from BB though, as it stands much better on it's own! Anyways, I was thinking of taking a crack with the new photos, but damn, with Barney and some of the other super-talented cats on this board...I don't know if mine would compare.

Yeah, the hair needs something done to it. I'd also make the scarring line a bit more jagged, to account for the splash of the acid.

I really hope that two face is played with more of a split personality than some manic person...it would be very keen to see harvey and apollo in the same shot....i.e....harvey will "speak" to his scared half 'Apollo'* and visa vera


*apollo was the name used back in the day. I always saw two face the villian side being apollo and harvey as the DA.

I prefer both for different reasons. But the latter is more intriguing as far as character development goes. Nevertheless, I wouldn't have her literally shooting leaves out of her body or anything like that... that'd be overtly campy, in my opinion.

Originally, I didn't have her lips tinted. But she appeared more like a woman with a gimmick (color fetish) rather than one who was changed physically and mentally by plant toxins. Maybe if the top one is early on and then by the end of the film her body's been altered more severely by the toxins...

Either way, I'd see the lips being green more-so than her entire body, at least in the beginning, just for the fact of anonymity. It'd be easier for her to trick Bruce. Then, once she's been established by Batman as the new villainess of Gotham, she get's colorized; if at all, of course.

If plant toxins got into her blood stream, theoretically it would give her a green tint, possibly modifying her melanin content as well; if not both all at once. Thusly so, the 'realism' factor could be explained; albeit vaguely.

But so long as Eva Green is in the film at one point or another, that's all the green I need. :oldrazz:

I like; I can't really see him as Dick Grayson but I do see a Jason Todd essence in him. Shia would be awsome as Robin, but he's little too old; if we ever get Robin in a movie he should be in the age range of 15-17. Otherwise cool manip.:woot:
