TNA can not be happy with their current product. Most of it is confusing or pointless.

Now, does anyone thing TNA will give Joe the win over Angle or will this be the eventual downfall of the Undefeated Samoan Submission Machine?

Okay, downfall might be too much.

I can definitely see this being his first loss. Not because thats what I want but it seems only logical considering how screwy things have been lately.

I can see them pulling a Flair/Sting at Clash of the Champions and have the outcome be a 30 to 45 minute draw. That way, both men can retain their streaks and auras.

I saw only about 85% of Impact! So-so eppy. TNA....you can do better. Matches weren't bad, but could be better...espically the main event.

Hope next weeks rating for the two hour is at least a 1.0 overall.

P.S. Sting will own Abyss like a....he will own him.

Angle i fear will demand to go over if the political pull he has been rumoured to be using is anything to go by,remember this guy wants to be booked like Austin or Hogan

If it gets TNA a 1.0 for every eppy...do it. Would we be complaining if TNA was averaging a 1.0-1.5...yeah, I guess we would. I need to think before I type sometimes.

How would Angle booking himself like Hogan give TNA bigger ratings? It's already shown that Angle didn't draw the way that he and Dixie thought that he would, so why would the guy who risks dying any time he steps in the ring trying to "protect himself" in the booking be anymore of a draw?

You are right.

I fear that the upcoming TNA wrestling game for the 360 and PS3 will do bad...because a lot of people don't watch TNA. TNA will have to improve their ratings before the game comes out and HOPE the game is good enough to find an audience.

Styles had a good week this week i thought, the opening 3 way was entertaining and he carried Abyss as well as he always does and a feud with Cage could be fun

I'm guessing Roode will have an entourage soon

LAX were good as usual and Don West as the lime green lounge singer shilling DVD's was great

Why is Petey Williams still winning matches ?

The Douglas/3D stuff was crap i thought, the promo was badly edited and never gave any clear answer to what Shane's beef was

Joe/Angle vid package was pretty good

WWE plays dirty...

http://www.1wrestling.com/news/newsline.asp?news=27619

Tonight's TNA show in Connecticut has been cancelled after building inspectors (http://www.1wrestling.com/news/newsline.asp?news=27619#) showed up and refused to allow the show to take place. Several police cars were also dispatched to the show. Fans outside the building are chanting "F*** Vince McMahon". TNA is filming fan reaction outside the building. Several TNA wrestlers who had arrived at the building early are outside signing autographs (http://www.1wrestling.com/news/newsline.asp?news=27619#) and talking to fans.
The cancellation of tonight's show follows the move yesterday from the original building after a similar problem with building inspectors. The problem with tonight's building involved a different inspector from a different town. Among the violations he cited was a crack in one of the Exit signs.
It's not clear who made the phone calls to building inspectors, but one of the police officers told one of the TNA officials on site, "You know you have a competitor up here who isn't making your life easy".
Tonight's show was scheduled to be the first show run by TNA in Connecticut.
WWE is based in Stamford (http://www.1wrestling.com/news/newsline.asp?news=27619#) CT.

On the UWF message board, there is speculation going around that Saturday night’s TNA house show was cancelled because the Police and Fire departments said there were not enough fire exits at the Tennis Academy where the show was scheduled to take place at. A GERWECK.NET reader was present for tonight's scheduled show in Bloomfield, Connecticut when it was cancelled, and the said speculation centered on someone calling the authorities about a fire hazard. Apparently, some questioned if a WWE employee may have alerted the authorities with WWE's headquarters being in Stamford, CT.

Gary Davis, WWE's Vice President of Corporate Communications, sent an email to 1wrestling.com tonight regarding the cancellation of tonight's TNA show in Connecticut.

Here's what Davis had to say:

"Please make clear to your readers that there is no truth to the assertion that WWE had anything to do with the cancellation of the TNA event in Bloomfield. I don't know why the event was cancelled, but, whatever the reason, it had nothing to do with us."

I want to thank Josh Fisher and Dan Jennings for contributing to this report. Jennings said dozens of TNA stars were present tonight before the event was cancelled, and many signed autographs and posed for pictures.

This is from the UWF website:

STATEMENT FROM UWF PRESIDENT HERMIE SADLER ON TNA SHOW CANCELLATION IN CONNECTICUT

I wanted to make a personal statement on the happenings in Connecticut this past weekend to try and answer as many questions as I can. There are obviously many things that I am still gathering information on in the coming days, but I think it is important for all our fans to know what I know.

The first phone call I got that there was a potential problem was Thursday afternoon while I was in Arizona. I was told that local authorities had come to the Face-Off Indoor Arena to check out the venue after an anonymous call. We had this venue booked for over 2 months, and had a floor plan and ticket manifest approved for 1018 seats. After looking at the venue, the inspector said the building could only be approved for 398 people without making some minor alterations to the building. When the building manager told the inspectors the changes would be made prior to the event on Friday, he was told that it would not matter because the Chief Inspector that would have to approve the building for more people would be on vacation on Friday and would not be back in town until Tuesday.

So at that point, I had to make a decision. Do we keep the event at the location and tell 400 of the people that had purchased tickets in advance that they could not get into the show, or do we try to find an alternative venue to hold the show based on the size of the venue the inspectors told us we needed.

My question was why did the local authorities in East Hartford have so much interest in our show only 1 day prior to the show and place these demands on us when there was no time to make the changes they requested?

We immediately began looking for an alternate venue that would hold the amount of fans we were planning to attend the event. The Bloomfield Tennis Academy stepped up and offered their facility at the last minute. We decided to move the show there so that all the fans that had purchased tickets could attend the event. This venue, although not very far from the original building, was in a different town.

As most people know by now, I was called at about 4 pm by some of our production staff that the police were at Bloomfield and that we were not going to be able to have a show. Upon arrival at the building and talking to the PD Sergeant, I was told that there were several problems with the building and that we would not be allowed to have a show there. When I asked him what caused them to come to the building, he would only say “ An anonymous call.” Again, we went through a long list of potential remedies, but it was apparent that the show was not going to happen.

After that, we entertained the idea of moving the show to Danbury, CT. We even took a poll from fans outside the building because Danbury is about 70 miles from Bloomfield. The response was 100% yes that they wanted to travel to Danbury to see the show.

Although we strongly considered that alternative, I decided not to pursue that option simply because I did not feel at that point that we could give the fans that had paid their money to the show a complete 100% effort. The show would have started late, we probably would have lost a great deal of the fans, we had not only the ring and production equipment but over 700 chairs that needed to be moved, no concessions at the new building, etc. The list went on and on, it was just time at that point to call the show.

I honestly have no idea why local authorities from two separate towns showed so much interest in our events at that short notice. I am still gathering information and will hopefully know more in the coming days.

For those that wonder, we will definitely be coming back to Connecticut very soon. The fan response we got was great. It was set to be one of our biggest events of the year. We will bring TNA Wrestling to Connecticut in a big way very soon.

All I can do at this point is apologize to all of the fans that made the effort to come to this show. It was a very unfortunate set of circumstances that I apologize for and am embarrassed by.

To be refunded for your ticket purchases, starting Monday morning November 13, contact the place where you purchased your tickets (tickets@uwfusa.com, highspots@aol.com, or the Face Off Arena (860) 282-0003 to verify your address and/or credit card or paypal account. Full refunds will be issued this week.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Sincerely,

Hermie Sadler

UWF President

For those too lazy to listen to the interview:

Kurt Angle was a guest Sunday night on Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer Live radio show (co-hosted by Bryan Alvarez). Here are the highlights:

- Angle is doing media appearances to promote TNA wrestling to the masses that may have not yet seen the product.

- “They’re treating me like a leader,” said Angle of TNA. Angle said he enjoys the lack of politics in TNA.

- Angle said Vince McMahon told him his hands were his weapons in ECW.

- Angle said he was the second choice (behind HBK) for the move from Raw to Smackdown. “I like Shawn, but I disrespect him for that.” Angle said HBK had fresh match ups on Smackdown, and he had wrestled everyone on the Smackdown side.

- He said he broke his neck in a match with HBK. Angle said WWE told him to just take it easy.

- Angle said during a two week period in WWE, Vince turned his character four times in a stint during the Steve Austin days.

- Angle said he sought out Scott Hall because he had undergone the less invasive neck surgery (avoiding fusion surgery), and learned Hall had returned in a month.

- He said WWE didn’t provide him a limo when they knew his neck was injured, and recalled a time they had him travel in the backseat of a car with Matt Hardy and Gregory Helms.

- Angle said he lost $125,000 during his 30-day suspension from WWE. Vince told him he’d make it up to him. “I started becoming erratic. I knew I didn’t want to be apart of the company anymore.”

- He said Vince wanted him to be the name and face of ECW, but quickly realized Rob Van Dam was going to be pushed as the top star.

- Angle said he called the 8/25 meeting. Vince and John John Laurinaitis presented Angle with his erratic voicemail and text messages they had received from him. Angle insisted that he called the meeting, and told them he wanted to work part-time or he wanted to be released.

- He said he has warned John Cena to slow down otherwise he’ll wind up like him.

- Angle expects a physical match with Samoa Joe at Genesis. “It’ll be one of the best matches you’ll ever see.”

- Angle said you can pick out the ten greatest matches in WWE history, and he guarantees he’s in all of them.

- Angle said he was working as an agent in ECW. He said Jeff Jarrett, Dixie Carter, and Vince Russo has asked him to help mold the TNA talent, and offer his feedback. He considers himself a coach in TNA.

- “I like it,” stated Angle when asked about TNA’s six sided ring.

- “I’m 100%,”said Angle when asked if he has had enough time to heal. He said his groin feels better.

- Kevin Nash is telling individuals within pro wrestling that he is presently working for TNA on a handshake basis, reports the Wrestling-Observer Newsletter.

Nash, whose old contract expired, has been working day-to-day under a gentlemen's agreement with Jeff Jarrett.

The wrestler reportedly gave Jarrett his word that he has no plans to sign with WWE.

- Samoa Joe's body is beginning to reflect the toll of his ascent to stardom within the pro wrestling industry.

Joe's stock on the indy scene, which only improved when he began receiving television exposure on TNA television, has resulted in a combination of more high-profile indy bookings and an elevated expectation of match quality for his performances. The result is a wrestler whose body is far from perfect condition.

By no means is Joe's career in jeopardy, but his body's reflection of his effort within pro wrestling has caught the eye of those in the industry.

(Source: Wrestling-Observer Newsletter)

Also, posted this in the Wrestling thread, will post it here, too:

Kurt Angle was on the CW11 Morning news around 6:45 AM.

Highlights (of what I was able to get down, correct me if I missed or got anything wrong):

- Vince likes 280 pound wrestlers, and they are inherently slower and less athletic than smaller athletes, and that's where the difference between TNA and WWE lie. TNA likes 190 - 220 pound guys who are top class athletes who can do more in the ring.

- Answers to a question that is it more dangerous doing more acrobatic moves he says it all depends, but he his feet will stay on the ground.

- Angle stayed out of ring to heal from injuries that WWE would not allow him to rest with, thus his decision in quitting WWE.

- Angle wanted 6 months off, but his wife forced him out (joke). He said Dixie Carter said he would have had all the time he needed to heal up.

- Talked about the clip of him opening up Joe with a headbutt. Says Joe is most talented in wrestling in TNA and he would have preferred to wait and build up their matchup and Genesis but he said this just couldn't wait and had to be done right away.

I didn't catch if he announced iMPACT going Primetime or Genesis directly. Angle came off as very lucid and focused throughout the whole interview. Sounded personable and down to earth here.

What do they mean? Because Joe's fat? If anything,I think it's a great look because why must everyone have muscles on top of muscles? And it's so fun to prove idiots wrong when they say ''Yeah, that Joe guy is probably slow as hell in the ring and doesn't have talent.''

NDX

I don't think Angle meant Joe at all, due to him saying Joe is the best in TNA right now. Rather he was talking about slugs like Masters and Batista, hired more for their physical attributes rather than their in-ring talent.

Jeff Jarrett TNA/Spike TV conference call recap

Jeff said there is no truth to the rumor that he held Vince McMahon up for money at No mercy 1999 when he lost to Chyna.

He says TNA does have a drug policy. He said they have had some wrestlers in TNA with drug problems and they did help them with it but it all goes down in private.

They would love to go head to head with Raw on Monday night’s but they need to take small steps leading up to that. He said it’s very hard to recreate history and he thinks Thursday’s night will in primetime will be great for them.

Jeff says never say never on Goldberg or Warrior coming to TNA. He said both guys had a short shelf life but both made a big impact in that short span.

He says it’s 100% true that Russo is a changed man. He was rehired because he was apart of WWE and WCW and has a great mind for wrestling. They want to bring out his strengths and stray away from his weaknesses.

Jeff put over Jim Cornette and talked about all the great things he has accomplished in the wrestling industry.

He put over how fast TNA has come in such a short span of time.

He said in wrestling your only as good as your last PPV or your last TV show.

He expects Joe/Angle to be a fantastic match on Sunday night and called it one of the biggest matches in TNA history.

They use the TV ratings and merchandise sales figures to decide what markets they may travel to for live events. With that said Chicago is a frontrunner to hold a TNA PPV.

He said Nashville would be a great place to hold Slammiversary in June.

Jeff talked about how hard it is to build up a monthly 3 hour PPV when you only have one hour of TV a week.

He agrees that iMPACT! Moves along to fast some week’s but TV time is precious.

He has had some offers to act but he has to much going on in TNA right now to even think about acting.

Jeff says the reason for his current hideous from TV is do to allot of personal problems. This is the first real break he has had from the ring in over 10 years.

He said there is no real answer as to if the Over the Edge 1999 PPV should have been stopped or not.

He commented on the cancelled TNA house show in CT. He said if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck then there is no need to ask what it is.

There are plans to hold numerous TNA events in Europe.

As far as the new angle with the James Gang goes, he said stay tuned.

He has no beef with Joe Legend and if Joe as a beef with him he’s not the only one.

Jeff says we wouldn’t even believe the amount of calls they get from workers all over the work who are looking for work in TNA.

A 1.2 or 1.3 would be considered a success for them in Primetime but they would like to do much better.

He put over Spike TV and how dedicated to the TNA product they are.

He doesn’t want someone working for them unless they want TNA to be number one but they can be a very successful number 2 promotion.

He thinks wrestling and shoot fighting are two separate audiences in the US and wouldn’t work on the same cards like they do in Japan.

TNA has severed their relationship with Monty Brown and wish him the best of luck.

He hates when wrestling promotions act like they are the only wrestling company there is and they don’t subscribe to that philosophy in TNA.

Some of his favorite matches in his career were with Jerry Lawler.

He put over the 2 hour weekly PPV events they used to do and described them as ground breaking.

Jeff said he would no doubt win a guitar duel with The Honky Tonk Man.

He said staying true to your character and being confident are two main ingredients in being a great heel.

Jeff put over LAX and called them the most cutting edge thing in wrestling in the past several years.

He said the TNA DVD’s launch in the UK on 11/21 with Lockdown and The Best of Samoa Joe.

He put over the upcoming 50 Greatest Moments in TNA history DVD calling it simply awesome.

Jeff would love to see Jericho in TNA. He called him a great performer and a great guy. He thinks TNA would be great for him because of the light schedule.

Getting two hours every week is the next step for them. With a two hour show you have breathing room but with a one hour show you have to rush things sometime.

He said there’s a lot of pressure on Joe for Sunday but he thrives on that and the cream will rise to the top.

Jeff’s grandmother used to call people Slappies so he took that and turned it into Slap Nuts. The first person he ever called that on TV was Mike Tenay.

They are in talks to do an international PPV event the likes of which have never been done in wrestling before.

Jeff put over David Sahadi and said he would match him with anyone in the world not only on a skill level but work ethic as well.

He said wrestling down to the core is about nothing but conflict and you have to have good vs. evil and TNA has never lost sight of that.

He called Joe/Angle a true dream match and said he can’t wait to see it.

There will be an encore of last weeks iMPACT! On tomorrow night at 11pm but it will have some new content inserted into it.

The TNA video game by Midway will be released near the end of 2007.

Jeff said anyone who criticizes him has a right to their own opinion.

He said iMPACT! Would benefit greatly from going live and it is in development with Spike TV.

He called the Dupp Cup the dumbest thing in TNA history.

He said allot of people wanted to talk bad about Antonio Pena after he died but he considered him a close personal friend and has nothing but good to say about him.

Jeff said when WCW and WWE were both at their height there was only a 15% fan cross over.

When asked Jeff refused to talk about his personal life and his personal problems.

He was asked how they can book Joe/Angle so that both guys come out looking strong. Jeff said that question is one of the main reasons why smart fans buy PPV events. He said the pressure is on both guys to deliver a big match and every moment of it is going to be interesting to watch.

He called Angle’s head butt to Joe the head butt hear round the world. He said there was just as big of a reaction backstage to it as there was in the iMPACT! Zone.

As for Lita coming to TNA Jeff said he knows her well and he’s not sure about her health right now.

There have been talks with Daniel Puder but nothing major.

Jeff refused to comment on his father Jerry showing up at WWE headquarters.

He put over Dixie Carter very strong.

He was very impressed with how in shape Sting got himself recently.

They are in negotiations with Sting to sign a new deal.

Jeff says they went with Joe/Angle so soon because you have to put your best foot forward when you jump into primetime.

Starting a wrestling school and a developmental system is a must for them but it’s not likely to happen right now.

He said Hulk Hogan signed a 20 year deal with WWE so he can’t see him coming to TNA.

Kevin Nash has been telling people that he hasn't signed a new TNA contract, but is merely working on a handshake deal with Jeff Jarrett. Nash has said he gave his word he isn't returning to WWE.

During the 11/4 New York Q & A session, Nash defended his WCW booking stating that he had to write ten hours of TV per week. Ten? He also said that when Jim Ross was teasing that Razor Ramon and Deisel were returning to WWF, Eric Bischoff thought it was for real, and gave him and Scott Hall raises to stay. Wow.

Police Captain Jeffrey L. Blatter released the following statements to Michael Weaver regarding the cancellation of last Saturday's TNA house show promoted by Hermie Sadler's UWF in Bloomfield, CT:

"TNA’s attempt to manipulate their fan base into believing the Bloomfield Police Department, or any other Town Official, was responsible for the canceling of their Saturday event is misleading and disingenuous.

TNA failed to notify the Town of their intent to hold an event, nor did they apply for the proper permits. Had TNA made the proper notifications, in a timely manner, the Town would have had the opportunity to address the public safety concerns that were identified, and the wrestling fans would have had the opportunity to enjoy the event in a safe environment. The code violations that were identified were not obscure administrative matters, but real concerns for public safety, and were in fact explained to TNA representatives.

Allowing an event to go forward in violation of known public safety hazards is a breach of our responsibility to the citizens of Bloomfield and those who visit our community. The Rhode Island Night Club tragedy is a sobering example of what can occur if this responsibility is not met."

We Michael asked the Captain of rumors about WWE’s involvement (which WWE publicly denied), he responded:

"After I sent my statement to you I had the opportunity to further speak with a Supervisor who was on scene. Your inquiry into Vince McMahon appears to be on target since someone at the incident alleged our actions were predicated on the behest of Vince McMahon, who, according to the individual, "owns Connecticut".

To dispel a completely false notion, Vince McMahon had no involvement in this matter, and my Supervisor had to ask who Vince McMahon was. We became aware of the event only hours before it was to be held, when the East Hartford Police Department brought our attention to the TNA Web Site, which made reference to Bloomfield.

I believe it is also appropriate to note that the Supervisor on scene was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism and cooperation he received from the wrestlers and most of the event staff. He particularly noted the wrestlers desire to stay and greet their fans even after the event had to be cancelled. Had they not done so, we could have been faced with a situation that may have spiraled out of control."

Kurt Angle is on Bubba right now. He's talking about his appearance on Casino Cinema on Spike TV. Bubba mentions that Howard mentioned his appearance on the show how Angle hit it off with his girlfriend Beth O. Angle says that Smirnoff was a sponsor of the show and Angle pretended to be drunk on vodka to freak out the producers. Angle also revealed that he doesn't know carney.

Bubba mentions that Hogan complained that Angle throws legit stiff punches & kicks. Angle apologized to Hogan. Angle mentioned that Shawn Michaels disrespectfully slapped Hogan during their Summerslam match and he couldn't believe Hogan took it.

Angle says besides Undertaker, Abyss is the best wrestler he has faced. Angle says two legit shooters in the WWE are the Undertaker and Shelton Benjamin. He claims that Shelton Benjamin badly beat Daniel Puder in a shoot. Bubba asks if Scott Steiner is the stiffest worker in TNA. He obviously hasn't watched much TNA. Angle responded that he hasn't worked with many guys in TNA yet.

Angle talks about Hogan hurting his neck getting Tombstoned by the Undertaker. Hogan hurt his neck because he tensed up so badly he pulled a muscle.

Angle claims Impact! beat UFC in the ratings last week. They mention the TNA house show getting shutdown in Connecticut. Angle says his first reaction was that he didn't believe Vince McMahon would shut down a show, but now he had his doubts. Bubba & Brent said that he shouldn't underestimate corporate America.

More to come...Parts in bold=WTF!?

Just finished watching the show and found it to be very entertaining.

The cage match with Rhino/Christian was just out of this world and was an amazing highlight of the show.

Angle and Abyss was alright. Would've loved to have seen Angle/AJ Styles instead of him facing Abyss. But it wasn't bad and I found the ending to be very exciting.

VKM aka The James Gang was well, I guess okay. But damn shouldn't TNA be trying to establish themselves as a promotion before competing with WWE? I don't like WWE's current direction or the obvious politics with Shawn, H, and so forth, but declaring "war" is really asking to get your ass kicked in terms of ratings.

Seeing Joe with that bad ass look on his face as he choked out Angle made me smile sadistically.

I just hope that both Joe and Angle come out looking strong after their match, which is why I hope it ends in a draw after about 30-40 minutes.

Damn that was a packed show, maybe im getting old but it moves to fast and segments end to abruptly for my liking

-Opening was pointless as Young's gimmick isn't known beyond the faithful and not letting him actually get his announcement out meant he came off as little more than the village idiot

-LAX and AMW's segment followed by Joe/Lethal were the shows best and most logical pieces of booking

-Bentley and co look like morons but were saved by VKM who managed to look like even bigger morons with their little puppies yapping at the big dogs retardation

-Are the Dudley's now officially buried ?

-I like Nash/Shelley and Aries but there segment looked cheap and there is never a need for Nash ass

-It's a shame the Cage/Rhino 6 sides of steel was blown off on TV with stupid rules as it was a good basic cage match with a satisfying finish that made both guys look strong

-The triple threat XD title match was ok and i like Sabin's new gimmick but the Cage run in was just dumb

-Don West shilling James Bond movies during the break with 007 symbols stuck in turkeys was hilariously bad

-Petey the hero was funny stuff, why did he go all the way out to the middle of nowhere before turning on them ?Tenay putting over "Petey the hero" in such insincere fashion minutes later was mind numbing,I do like Hemme onscreen though

-Angle/Abyss was a decent match despite the stupidity of Mitchel not realising the giant wheelbarrow of thumbtacks was not under the ring

-Didn't like the ending it went on to long and Joe looked weak needing a chair and consorting with Abyss to beat up Angle,it went from two equals to traditional face vs heel fare, and how Sting ended upside down when he was the one beating Abyss out the zone we shall never know

lordsofpain.net:

Kurt Angle's jump to TNA proved ineffective as a quick ratings fix for the promotion. Wrestling fans should chalk up the move to a primetime slot under that same category, as this week's rating hardly saw an increase.

Despite heavy hype (including a major blitz during last Saturday's The Ultimate Fighter finale) for the two-hour special, it only drew a 1.0 rating according to WrestlingObserver.com. While the number is up a bit from the show's recent average in the 11PM hour, and thus cannot be considered a total negative, it's still a disappointing figure for TNA.

The lack of a ratings surge in response to Angle's signing and the primetime move indicates that neither talent nor timeslot is a huge factor in TNA's ratings. It indicates that nothing inherent about TNA's position is "holding down" the ratings—the 1.0 figure represents all present interest in the product.

TNA will therefore have to win over a larger portion of the casual wrestling audience before it can compete with WWE in the ratings battle.

I'm thinking you have more WWE sheep than you do TNA fans.

No, but seriously, I'm guessing because TNA doesn't have consistent booking on their side and the product is showing that particular result. I'm thinking if they pushed their younger talent instead of WWE leftovers the ratings would go up.

At this rate even if they get Goldberg or Jericho I don't see much of a change.

It could be that the guy they have him feuding with is not known outside the wrestling smarkdom or it could be that TNA is horribly booked so you have to sit through so much crap to get to him that ppl can't be bothered or it could be that on radio shows for the last two weeks he has sounded like an irrational, delusional, petty, cliche'd,bitter douchebag

At this rate even if they get Goldberg or Jericho I don't see much of a change.Jericho might bring a small spike in ratings to WWE, but yeah, I doubt that he would do anything for TNA's ratings at this point. They brought in a star like Angle and they still couldn't draw the audience that they need. Hell, Kurt didn't draw as much as Sting did on his first Impact appearence in January, which drew a 1.1.

The reason why TNA isn't bringing in decent ratings is because it's still a relatively unknown company. I mean it's been around for what? four years? That's hardly enough time to actually bring in a decent enough audience. I mean it took WCW quite a bit of time to beat out WWE in the ratings, and this was after a period of time in which they got Hulk Hogan....

You're right. It was a long time before WCW became a legitimate contender to the WWE. I remember when all they had going for themselves was a Saturday Evening Wrestling Program.

WCW obviously didn't become a real threat until the nWo was created.

I still think that wrestling isn't in the same fashion as it was in 98, 99, 2000, and 2001. More or less non-fans and fans have just gotten turned off by the product in general.

Of course wrestling isn't as popular as it was during that time. Everything goes through downturns every once in a while. Eventually (I hope), something will happen that will get the casual fans interested in wrestling again and there will be another "glory" period for wrestling.

Pre-show

Christy Hemme asked fans who is going to win tonight, Samoa Joe or Kurt Angle, which was interrupted by LAX. They are teasing they'll burn the American flag tonight.

Eric Young was interrupted by Robert Roode, and his open challenge. Roode told Young if he didn't wrestle him tonight, he could be fired.

A) Robert Roode (with Ms. Brooks) vs. Eric Young. Young, wrestling in his jeans, lost to Roode when the heel had his feet on the ropes at 3:41. Young told the referee, who re-started the match. Within ten seconds, Young did the same to Roode, pinning Roode with his feet on the ropes.

Backstage, Hemme was in Samoa's Joe locker room, but LAX came in and talked about burning the U.S. flag.

Christian Cage came out and said it was a load of crap that he's wrestling AJ Styles tonight, as Cage is the number one contender. Styles runs out and jumps Cage, leading to a pull apart.

James Mitchell cut a promo backstage with Abyss, hyping the Abyss-Sting match.

Pre-show ends with Angle arriving in the parking lot.

GENESIS PPV

Opening video package airs.

(1) Voodoo Kin Mafia (James Gang) vs. Kazarian, Bentley, and Devine in a handicap match. Kazarian, Bentley and Devine are followers, and commentary discusses their "Redeemer." Kip pins Devine at 3:39. Not much of an opener. After the match, BG cuts a promo on Vince, Triple H and Shawn Michaels using their real names. BG said to tune in on Thursday night for 'Impact' to see what happens next.

After the announcer's hyped the card, Devine, Kazarian, and Bentley returned with Devine's face covered. Raven comes out with half of his face covered, dressed in white, and hit Devine on the bare back with a purple kendo stick.

Backstage, Shane Douglas (with the Naturals) cut a promo on Team 3D. They have a cracked table with the words "Team 3D was here" on it. Douglas said they'd like to face Team 3D tonight, but they aren't here.

2) Sonjay Dutt and Jay Lethal vs. The Naturals (with Shane Douglas. The babyfaces do a double clip over the top rope onto the Naturals, which got the fans to chant "TNA, TNA." Rather than returing to the back, Douglas remained in the corner of his team. The Naturals win when Stevens pinned Dutt at 8:17.

Backstage, LAX cut a promo on Petey Williams, and American politics. Konnan once again said they are going to burn the American flag. JB said Jim Cornette is here tonight to represent TNA, but Konnan says he doesn't take orders from him.

3) X-Division Title match: Christopher Daniels vs. Chris Sabin. Before the match, Backstage, JB interviews Daniels. Daniels said he is still friends with AJ, but he has his own issues. Daniels said he is leaving tonight with the X-Division title, and Sabin's respect. Match starts with fans chanting "Fallen Angel, lets go Sabin." Sabin tossed in a chair, but Styles entered the ring and took the chair with him. Daniels leaped off the top rope onto Sabin on the outside. BME by Daniels, but Sabin kicked out. Daniels rolls up Sabin at 13:22 to retain the X-Division title. After the match, Sabin was going to attack Daniels with a chair, but is saved by Jerry Lynn. Lynn gets Sabin to shake Daniels hand, but sucks him into a cradle shot.

In a pre-recorded segment, Nash talks to Austin Starr and Alex Shelley. He tells them they need a win. Nash said to win this one for "Bo," they say Bo Schembechler? Nash says Bo Derek.

(4) Ron Killing and Lance Hoyt vs. Alex Shelley and Austin Starr. Nash is sitting ringside with Tenay and West. Nash is wearing a sling, and said he injured his arm while wrestling two nights ago in Japan. Right! Nash said on Thursday's "Impact," he is calling a meeting with all the X-Division stars. Good work, but the fans aren't into this one. Babyfaces win at 11:09. :down They are showing no replays of the finishes tonight, guess they are saving time for the Samoa Joe-Angle bout.

Backstage, Cage cut a promo. I thought Cage would sell the juice job from the Impact special Thursday, but he didn't even have a band aid on his head. Cage said he'll be waiting for the Abyss-Sting winner.

(5) AJ Styles vs. Christian Cage. Tenay pointed out that this is their first match in TNA. AJ flipped over the top ropes onto Cage, but landed hard against the guard rail. Fans were flat for much of the match, but heated up with many near falls towards the end of the bout. Cage tried to use a chair, but Daniels tried to pull it from his hands. It backfired, and Cage pinned AJ at 15:45. AJ and Daniels got into a heated face to face debate. Lethal and Dutt tried to break it up. Rhino came out. On the mic, Rhino said he won't let AJ and Daniels have a falling out like he had with his former buddy, Christian Cage. AJ called Rhino Dr. Phil and stormed off.

Backstage, AMW with Gail Kim interviewed by JB. AMW said pride is on the line, not just tag team titles. Harris said LAX won't be burning the flag tonight. Storm said its going to be a fight tonight.

(6) World Tag Team title match: LAX (with Konnan) vs. America's Most Wanted (with Gail Kim). On the mic, Konnan said there is nothing Jim Cornette can do, the first amendment will allow them to burn the flag. AMW rushed LAX to start the match. Much more heat in this match, as Konnan worked the fans teasing he is going to burn the flag. Fans are chanting "USA." Death sentence by AMW, but Konnan had the referee distracted. A blow torch was used on Storm, which allowed Hernandez to score the pinfall at 9:23. After the match, Petey Williams stopped LAX from doing the gringo killer on Gail Kim. Jim Cornette made his way to the ring. Cornette said management and fans don't like Konnan teasing he'll burn the American flag. Cornette said TNA has decided they aren't fit to be NWA World Tag Team champions, and strips them of the tag team belts. Cornette said they have until Thursday night to return the belts, or they will be terminated.

In a pre-recorded backstage segment, Jim Mitchell (with Abyss) cut a promo on Sting. Mitchell talked about Sting's past sins.

Angle slapped on the Angle lock, but Joe reverses it into a choke. Angle gets up, and hits another Olympic slam, followed by another ankle lock as Joe taps out at 13:33.

....

I'm all kinds of confused right now.

?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?

And how much is a TNA PPV???

I didn't bother with the first half of the show but oh boy was Russo splurging all over the 4 main matches

-Cage/Styles was good and i had no problem with the finish or AJ's ******* diss to Rhino but god i hope they make this AJ/Rhino as a feud as i don't want anymore AJ vs Roboto matches

-LAX vs AMW was pretty hectic and not at the level of LAX's previous tag matches on PPV but it was decent, the garbage that happened after though was the start of the problems,Cornette is booed for stripping them of the belts b/c even the hideous TNA crowd recognizes a good thing when they see it and an illogical piece of booking when it's this bad, where LAX go from here i dunno but they basically turned them face and good god cease with Petey the hero it's just painful

-Sting/Abyss was ok except they lost the crowd completely when Sting took forever to winch Abyss up and then proceeded to deliver weak ass chair shots, the DQ title change to a guy that tapped out 3 days earlier and has been beaten by everyone really is moronic but i get the feeling that might be it for Stinger and he's went out doing no one any favours

-Joe/Angle was a good match and a solid start to their feud but did they have to have Joe tap ? i mean the guy is booked as a badass,it would have been smarter to have Angle roll through the choke and pin Joe so both could keep their heat but noooooo TNA needed to tap their best homegrown guy out to one of WWE's biggest names...the aftermath i guess was an Angle heel turn but after Joe's actions on the primetime show who knows, certainly not Russo it would seem
The crowd were awful during the match when the camera panned them all looking like they cared more about getting their chant out than the match and i swear the amount of time Angle took to cut himself they should have started a "hurry up and blade" chant

I'm glad I went to a football game and didn't order this. Doesn't sound like it was worth 29.95.

Downloading AJ/Cage and Joe/Angle...

I don't think I can stomach the rest of it. Hell, it'll be hard for me to watch Joe/Angle without getting pissed at the length and the finish.

Only thing I can see happening, since reading the post-match, is this is set-up for Joe to go over in their next match.
Meh,I understand they don't want Angle looking weak and losing in only a month, and at least no one interfered. But at least make it go 25-30 minutes.

Watched Joe/Angle. Man it was a fun match. It was gettin' so damn good, and then Joe tapped out. Hopefully the rematch is a lot longer. And I agree with HR, the TNA fans basically just sat there trying to get in as many chants as they could.

Yeah plus the finish was hinky but it's worth seeing just ignore TNAholes

Also if you like Christian pick him vs Styles up as it's pretty good and Cage is back to his best as a heel

BTW do you need the links ?

Gotta love the Russo booking. This is exactly why TNA will never be a success if they keep on doing moronic things.

Oh well, guess it's safe to say that Joe is buried and will be made to look like Angle's personal whipping boy.

Yep. This is the problem with rushing in with the Angle/Joe feud. I realise they needed ratings pronto, but let Angle earn a rep in TNA before Joe decides he's worthy of wrestling him. Totally kills the heat Joe had going into the title picture.

These are the LIVE SPOILERS for the next three weeks of TNA IMPACT on Spike TV. By the end of these shows we should have a good idea of the matches for the Turning Point PPV to be held December 9th. Plus we see what happens to the NWA World Tag Team championships recently held by Latin American Xchange after Jim Cornette stripped them of the belts last night on PPV, what the VKM have planned next for VKM and pals and if Kurt Angle will accept Samoa Joe’s rematch request. The sign of the night was a fan in the disabled section that read “I Work Harder Then Vince McMahon” on one side and “I Want More Then Vince McMahon” on the other. Like the last taping David Penzer and Jeremy Borash did an excellent job keeping the fans pumped up for the duration of the show.

Hour one taping results:

The new NWA World Heavyweight champion Abyss (w/Father James Mitchell) made their way to the ring. Mitchell said he was a proud parent after last night’s PPV. He said he tried to tell Sting to “laugh with the sinners then cry with the saints.” Mitchell said deep down inside Sting was no different then them after what he did last night. He said Sting was still wallowing in the riches that come with the belt and he walked down the highway to hell and Sting should come home for good. That brought Sting into the Impact Zone. At least he looked like the former champion, wearing a mask. Abyss and Mitchell sought higher ground as the fans sat in confusion when Christian Cage was the revealed masked man. Cage said this is what he had to resort to get his deserved title shot, dress like a complete moron. Cage said he wasn’t waiting for Sting to invoke the rematch clause. Hypothetically he asked if Sting didn’t make it to turning Point what would happen to the rematch. This brought the real Sting from the rafters. Sting said he was going to get his rematch with Abyss tonight by mowing down Cage tonight. Cage said he could care about Sting’s mood he only cared about himself and his title shot he deserved.

As the opening match was brought to the ring Eric Young walked around dressed in turkey costume.

(1) “Phenomenal” AJ Styles and World X Division champion “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels defeated The Naturals (Chase Stevens and Andy Douglas w/ “The Franchise” Shane Douglas.)

This was interesting because before the shows David Penzer said this was the LAST time Styles/Daniels would be teaming. Like last night the Naturals jumped their opponents before the bell and briefly double teamed Daniels before Earl Hebner got the teams to their corners. That didn’t work because Daniels slid into the ring and Stevens dropkicked Styles to the floor. The Naturals isolated Daniels and kept sending Styles back to the floor. But Styles got some revenge by hitting them with a top rope clothesline. They hit Douglas with their High/Lo move before sending Stevens to the floor. The match ended with Styles hitting Douglas with the Frog Splash and Daniels hitting the BME. Rhino came out to the ring as Senshi, Alex Shelley and the Austin Starr stood together on the ramp as Jerry Lynn stood with Sonjay Dutt and Jay Lethal. It looked like Rhino was trying to talk with Styles who wanted nothing from the “War Machine” and stormed off alone.

Eric Young came over to the announce table and said something to Mike Tenay and Don West before they sent it to the backstage area.

When the commercials ended the public face of TNA Mr. Jim Cornette made his way into the ring to get the NWA World Tag Team title belts from LAX. But before that Cornette asked Petey Williams to come to the ring. Williams said even though he had issues with the fans in the past but he had an opportunity to stop the destruction of the American flag. Cornette had a rigging lowered so they could hang the American flag but LAX hit the ring with the title belts still in their possession. Konnan had a lawyer with him who served some papers to Cornette saying TNA violated their 1st amendment rights. Williams served Konnan a right hand to the jaw. After LAX beat down Williams they went for Cornette but America’s Most Wanted (“Tennessee Cowboy” James Storm and “Wildcat” Chris Harris w/Gail Kim) and then Kurt Angle came out to clear the ring. As LAX/AMW, Cornette and Williams left Samoa Joe came to the ring. Joe was reminded he tapped out by the fans. Joe said he did tap out but the fans forget he was undefeated for 18 months. Joe said inevitably someone would have their hand raised against him. He said he lost to a man who has been a champion in wrestling around the world. But it was one night and he wanted a rematch. Joe handed the mic to Angle and we all waited. Angle told the fans and Joe he was the true submission machine and he made him fight for his life. Angle said the rematch happens only if nothing happens to each of them before Turning Point. So Angle and Joe have to be each other’s bodyguards.

Eric Young came back out to be with the fans still in the turkey outfit. His fun was interrupted by Robert Roode and Ms. Brooks. The fans chanted please don’t talk as Roode called Young an idiot and an embarrassment to wrestling. Roode demanded a rematch with Young and it looked like Young accepted.

(2) “Showtime” Eric Young defeated Robert Roode (w/Ms. Brooks).

Roode didn’t let Young get to the ring before he attacked. Young didn’t discard the turkey outfit as Roode went on the warpath. Roode dropped Young in the top rope but Young fought back and missed a moonsault. Roode said he was going to break Young’s neck with a piledriver but Young scored a double leg pin. Roode took the mic and lambasted Brooks for his losses in the ring and the fans not loving him. Before leaving Roode said he felt Young could beat Brooks in a bikini contest.

For the main event Jim Cornette joined Tenay and West for commentary.

(3) In a number one contender match, Sting and “Captain Charisma” Christian Cage fought to a no contest.

The fans received a PPV match on national TV. Sting came from behind and jumped Cage tossing him into the fans. They fought up into and down by the Pit area of the crowd. After slamming Cage into a wall Sting sent Cage back into the ring where the beating continued. Sting tossed Cage back to the floor this time by the announce table where Cage was suplexed. Cage finally got on the offense with a missile dropkick for two. Cage laid in the right hands to Sting’s face as the fans chanted Christian Sucks. But as Cage mocked the fans he allowed Sting to get fired up. Sting hit a clothesline, backdrop but his press slam to the floor was stopped by referee Andrew Thomas. Thomas got in the action when Sting hit him with the Stinger Splash when Cage pulled him in front to save his butt. Not to be stopped Sting locked in the Scorpion Death Lock but it was broken up by TYSON TOMKO!!! Tomko hit Sting with a Torture Rack into a neckbreaker as Cage’s music played.

As Borash got in the ring to hand out DVD’s we got to see part of the video from VKM’s trip to Stamford, CT. BG and Kip James verbally ran down their enemies in the WWE. However Kip’s in-car GPS took them to a Target store not the target which was WWE HQ. Finally they found WWE HQ and said they were back. Borash said due to legal reason new could only see that segment. I think we shall be seeing it on prime time TV.

Hour two taping results:

“Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels joined Tenay and West for commentary during the following match. The trio was interrupted by “Wildcat” Chris Harris but we have no idea what he said.

(1) In a number one contenders match, “The Future” Chris Sabin defeated Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt.

Dutt and Lethal took several turns beating up Sabin before focusing on each other. Sabin went for a slingshot move but Lethal got him with an STO into a backbreaker for two. Lethal avoided a Dutt slingshot move and hit a full nelson suplex for a pin but Sabin tossed Lethal to the floor and pinned Dutt to become the winner. Sabin and Daniels had heated words as Jerry Lynn tried to get cooler heads to prevail.

“Captain Charisma” Christian Cage and Tomko made their way into the Impact Zone. Cage decided to make a formal introduction of the man who made a good impression on Sting, Tomko. Cage said TNA was putting him into a triple threat match at Turning Point to regain his title. Cage said it would become a single threat match as he was going to take out his opponent’s tonight. Cage said he wanted to talk to Abyss and the champion came out with Father James Mitchell. But when it looked like Abyss and Mitchell were going to talk with Cage, a Sting mannequin descended from the roof. As Cage and Tomko looked at the mannequin, Sting came from behind. Sting sung the bat and missed Tomko as Cage bailed out. Sting said he wanted to talk to Abyss, alone. Guess it would be later on as Mitchell and Abyss left together.

(2) Ron “the Truth” Killings and Lance Hoyt defeated the Austin Starr and Alex Shelley.

All four men fought in the ring at the bell but it was Hoyt and Killings who took over when Hoyt kicked Starr .in the face. Killings hit a tope to the floor onto his opponents and sent Starr into Hoyt. But Hoyt missed a boot to the corner. Starr went up but Shelley tagged himself in. Starr and Killings fought on the floor as Shelley countered out of Hoyt’s attempted TKO into a pin but Shelley used the tights. Andrew Thomas counted the pin but reversed the decision when he found out what happened out of his eye line.

A new interviewer named Leticia tried to interview Petey Williams when LAX jumped his ass. Konnan said Angle would be competing by himself tonight.

(3) NWA World Tag Team champions Latin American Xchange (“Notorious 187” Homicide and Hotstuff Hernandez w/Konnan) fought Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe to a no contest.

Homicide paid tribute to the West Coast hip hop legends NWA by wearing one of their shirts. Angle backed Hernandez to a corner and pie faced him. Angle got sent to the mat on a shoulder tackle but he sent Hernandez there with a belly to belly suplex. Homicide got hit with a Tilt-A-While slam but the numbers game began to get to Angle. That ended when Samoa Joe came out and got in a corner for a tag. LAX kept beating on Angle until angle got out of a chinlock with a back suplex. Angle tagged out to Joe and the fight was on. It looked like Joe and Angle won via tap out but Cornette and the LAX lawyer came down to the announce table. Cornette ruled the match a no contest because Joe was not signed as Angle’s partner so LAX retains via no contest.

JB got in the ring and asked the fans to pick an entry way for a special guest. They chose the doorway that had Christy Hemme with some DVD’s for the fans to enjoy.

Sting made his way back to the ring carrying his bat and a folding chair. Sting called for Abyss to come out to the ring and he was granted the NWA World Heavyweight champion’s time. Abyss refused the chair offered to him by Sting. Sting said he had seen Abyss fight through ladders, tacks, barbwire and other items to win the belt. Sting said Abyss’ past didn’t matter only the present. He wanted to know why Abyss allowed James Mitchell to drag him around. Sting even called Abyss by his real first name, Chris. Mitchell appeared on the screen and said if Sting felt Abyss was evil he needed to look at himself. Sting said Abyss can make his own choice and left the ring. Just as Sting left Tomko and Christian Cage came in and leveled Abyss. Tomko hit the Torture Rack/neckbreaker move on Abyss. They split when Sting came back out. Sting offered his hand to Abyss but Mitchell came back out to the ring. Mitchell smacked Sting on the face and left with Abyss.

Hour three taping results:

“The War Machine” Rhino came out to talk to the fans. Rhino said if AJ Styles wanted to make threats it wasn’t good because it pissed him off last week. Rhino said if Styles wanted a problem he should come out to the ring. Instead of Styles we had Christopher Daniels came out to talk to Rhino. Daniels said he appreciated Rhino’s concern and he should stay out of things. But as Rhino looked one way AJ Styles attacked and the duo had to be pulled apart by TNA security.

JB was talking to the fans when “Showtime” Eric Young came out wearing workout gear. It looked like Young was doing some cardio running.

(1) Petey Williams defeated NWA World Tag Team champion “Notorious 187” Homicide (w/Konnan and Hotstuff Hernandez).

This began with some chain wrestling but got hard hitting when Homicide hit an Acecrusher. Williams countered out of a Tilt-A-Whirl into a Canadian legsweep. Williams went for the Canadian Destroyer but Homicide countered into the Cop Killer only to be countered into a sunset flip like pin. This didn’t sit well with LAX as Hernandez hit the ring and Border Tossed Williams. America’s Most Wanted hit the ring and took out LAX, leaving with their Mexican flag their possession.

(2) Senshi defeated “Showtime” Eric Young.

Young looked like he needed a nap after his cardio workout, too bad he was going to get one from Senshi. Senshi got tired of waiting for Young to stop running around the ring so he decked him on the floor. Senshi kept on the attack with some martial arts moves which stunned Young who tried to fight back with punches. The punches seemed to briefly stun Senshi as Robert Roode and Ms. Brooks came out to ringside. Brooks got on the ring apron and distracted Young with her sexy body. It allowed Senshi to hit the Warrior’s Way top rope move to win.

Mr. Jim Cornette came to the ring for a special announcement regarding the LAX/AMW confrontations. Cornette said a flag match would take place at Turning Point. He was interrupted by “Captain Charisma” Christian Cage and Tomko. Cage said he noticed Cornette was too busy stopping 1st amendment rights when he should be doing a background check on Abyss. Cage was interrupted by the NWA World champion who hit the ring and both men. They were able to turn the tables on Abyss when Sting came out sending Cage/Tomko running locker room. Just when Sting thought he got Abyss to join his side he got hit with a Black Hole Slam.

(3) In a TNA No Mercy All-Star War, Kurt Angle defeated “Captain Charisma” Christian Cage (w/Tomko), NWA World Heavyweight champion Abyss (w/Father James Mitchell), “War Machine” Rhino, Samoa Joe and Sting

Before the action began Styles attacked Rhino and they fought to the locker room. The match began with Angle and Cage squaring off and Angle hiptossed him before delivering forearm shots. Angle wrapped up Cage in a waistlock but Cage got to his feet only to be hit with a belly to belly suplex. Cage was taken again to the mat with a chinlock before switching to a body scissor. Tomko went to interfere but Joe sent him back to the floor. Cage got to his feet again and raked Angle eyes tagging in Abyss. Abyss hit Angle with Shock Treatment but Joe stopped the pin hitting a powerslam. Sting got involved and clotheslined Abyss to the floor. Cage’s Unprettier on Joe was blocked and Joe went for the Muscle Buster. Tomko came in and decked Joe with a kick. He dropped Cage on top but angle broke up the pin. Angle sent Cage to the floor and he was left alone with Joe. Angle and Joe looked like they were going to walk out on the match when Angle hit the Olympic slam to win the match.

Matches taped for Xplosion and Global Impact:

(1) Senshi defeated Brother Runt when he hit the top rope Warrior’s Way foot stomp.

(2) “The Future” Chris Sabin defeated Jay Lethal when he hit the Cradle Shock after a well placed heel kick to Lethal’s weapon.

(3) Ron “the Truth” Killings and Lance Hoyt defeated The Naturals (Chase Stevens and Andy Douglas w/ “the Franchise” Shane Douglas) when Killings hit Stevens with the Scissor Kick.

Announced and guessed matches for Turning Point PPV:

***NWA World Heavyweight champion Abyss (w/Father James Mitchell) vs. Sting vs. “Captain Charisma” Christian Cage (w/Tomko)

***Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle

***World X Division champion “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels vs. “the Future” Chris Sabin

***In a flag match, NWA World Tag Team champions Latin American Xchange (“Notorious 187” Homicide and Hotstuff Hernandez w/Konnan) vs. America’s Most Wanted (“Tennessee Cowboy” James Storm and “Wildcat” Chris Harris w/Gail Kim)

***“War Machine” Rhino vs. “Phenomenal” AJ Styles

I guess we're back to the tiresome 1 hour format.

- After Angle being so vocal about his happiness in TNA and Christian never questioning his move, there are several people in WWE who are quietly discussing the possibilities of going to TNA. At least three big names have been openly talking about it as a possibility for when their contracts with WWE are up.

The easier schedule with TNA is said to be one of the main things attracting WWE people. Also, TNA has allowed people such as Christian and Kurt Angle to pursue their dreams in acting which is something they couldn’t do in WWE, partly due to the heavier schedule.

TNA has many problems, but the single biggest one they see right now is the fact that a large percentage of the ex-wrestling fans that should be their target audience do not know that the company even exists. They are hoping that the acquisitions of well-known WWE names and upcoming advertising campaigns will help with the issue.

- Rey Mysterio’s contract with WWE expires around May or June of 2007, which is right around the time he would be returning to the ring. It wouldn’t be surprising to anyone backstage at this point if Kurt Angle tried to get Mysterio to join him in TNA.

It wouldn’t be surprising to anyone backstage at this point if Kurt Angle tried to get Mysterio to join him in TNA.Who are the three big names?

Rey.
Can't be Cena.
Can't be Triple H
Can't be HBK
Can't be Undertaker
Can't be Booker
Can't be Batista
Can't be Edge
Can't be Orton
Can't be Big Show
RVD?

That's not very many "big names".

There is so much stuff in the first hour that i thought i'd read hours one and two and missed the cut off point for hour one

there is the usual bright spots like Joe/Angle vs LAX and Tomko's arrival but it's laced around crap like Young in a turkey suit,Sting converting Abyss to Christianity,6 man all star matches that go six minutes and Joe jobbed out again

Also Angle being the one to decide that him and Joe should be bodyguards for each other is odd,it should have came from Cornette

Oh and so much for Low Ki being put with LAX,i felt sure that he would join them and a six man against AMW/Petey would be booked for Turning Point but instead they just job out Cide on TV to Petey :(

The Turning Point PPV sounds ok although most of the matches are rematches from Genesis but at least they aren't doing AJ/Daniels part 105 but the triple threat for the title is bull**** and just a way for Cage to get the belt without Sting putting anyone over yet again,he has done a hell of a job screwing TNA

SpikeTV was very happy with the rating for Impact on Thursday. TNA was a bit disappointed, hoping to make a bigger splash, but understand that they are a new company that has changed timeslots several times. The Spike/TNA relationship should continue to grow in the coming months.

Executives from SpikeTV, Marvel, and Midway Games all sat in the front row with TNA President Dixie Carter at the Genesis PPV on Sunday.

TNAWrestlingNews.com is reporting that Jeff Jarrett was backstage at the TNA PPV to help run things.

Missy Hyatt was backstage at the PPV visiting friends.

About a 100 fans were turned away from the Genesis PPV.

Best part:

Get Jeff Jarrett's ***k out of your mouth and accept the fact that TNA isn't going anywhere, and that Kurt Angle's fall to TNA hasn't changed the ratings in anyway. They still haven't hit a 1.0 rating in about 2 or 3 months.

AND HERE WE GO…you see, this is the biggest problem I have with people like you. You have such a lack of intelligence that just because you are a mindless TNA basher, and I happen to like the promotion you have to attack me for my belief instead of trying to have a civil conversation about the subject. I was even agreeing with you on some things because the special was far from perfect. But then you have to come out and say that I have JJ's **** in my mouth. Are you going to tell me that I am on the TNA payroll next? There you go, very mature dude. I can play this game too. Listen ****-wad, I don't know where you get off accusing me of sucking JJ's ***k and not critiquing the shows fairly. Well, instead of going on an endless rant about Russo like I always do,I'll propose to you guys this, how would book TNA if you somehow became a new writer?

I'll start off:

X-DIVISION:

-Senshi,after joining LAX and hopefully getting a new name, beats Daniels and takes his X Division title.

-After months of hearing nothing but Austin Starr,Shelley gets tired, bitter, and jealous of how Kevin Nash treats Starr like a son and they start a feud. Add in Senshi as well, and you have the next trinity of the X-Division.

TAG TITLE DIVISION:

-AJ and Fallen Angel reform and feud with the Naturals

-Dudleys and VKM become jobber fodder. I mean,I honestly don't give a **** about either of these teams anymore and since they only seem to think of their past, why not help the future teams?

-Ron Killings forms a heel tag team with Primetime

-I wouldn't change a thing about LAX,except add end a member who will hunt in the heavyweight division

HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION:

This division,by far, needs the most work. Since Jarrett seems to be taking time off for now, looks like we won't have to worry about him.

-Sting helps Joe regain the credibility he lost with the Angle match by putting him over in their feud

-Cage gets the title from Abyss, but eventually loses it to Joe at Bound For Glory 07.

That's just some quick stuff. I'll branch out some other day when my brain isn't fried.

Unfortunately guys like HBK are the ones blamed for that by the majority of fans (mostly marks) while guys like Sting remain unscathed. I'm not trying to point fingers and blur religion and work, but HBK has put over more people (not so much with the DX reformation, but ever since coming back from retirement he's been ALOT better about putting over people.)

Sting,I think many people are just amazed that they're still seeing him wrestle after like 15 years. If they'd open their eyes and truly looked at the man,I doubt they'd see the same man they idolized growing up. Kinda like how I learned about what Hogan was really like backstage.

I'd definitely love to see this happen and (can't believe im gonna say this)i'd keep Sabin involved as Since his turn to a cocky heel he has become much more intersting,i'd also push Jay Lethal as the straight up babyface of the division

Vince Russo and Kurt Angle have been together a lot because Angle is being given a lot of control over his own character. Angle has been very interested in TNA and keeping a close eye on everything, and most backstage in TNA enjoy getting suggestions and feedback from him on what’s going on.

Although there aren’t many details yet, TNA is looking to make Chicago their next major PPV market.

Konnan’s hip is in really bad shape right now. He has tried everything possible to avoid hip replacement surgery, but nothing has worked out. He’s said to noly even be able to take a few steps without being clearly in incredible pain. The feeling is that if he doesn’t get the surgery soon he may need a wheelchair, and one source says that he was almost in need of one at the last show. Several backstage are saying that Konnan is more intense and passionate than he has been in years with the LAX storyline, and would love to be able to wrestle right now.

TNA management has not been hearing good things about Scott Hall lately. Right now it doesn’t look very likely that the two will be working together any time soon.

Kevin Nash is not working under contract to TNA right now and is working on a handshake deal with Jeff Jarrett.

So Cal Val will be joining Raven’s new group in TNA called The Movement.

After months of Konnan pushing for Senshi to be added to The LAX, it looks like the move has finally been scheduled to happen. Konnan had been suggesting that Senshi join the group to management for months now, but it looks like Russo was the only one to listen to him and is the reason why it’s finally happening.

http://wrestling.insidepulse.com/articles/63040/2006/11/25/angle-joe-sting-nash-homicide-updates--more.html

Initial estimates show that Genesis has set a new PPV buyrate record for TNA.

When Sting was told about the planned title switch at Genesis he asked to lose the title cleanly to Abyss, feeling it was the right way to do business, but he was told the company wanted to make the switch by DQ.

The Kurt Angle/Samoa Joe match was booked to go longer than 13 minutes. TNA had been very strict with the workers of the undercard matches, repeatedly warning them not to go long as they needed time for the main event. However, Angle was calling the match and made the call to go home early. It is unclear whether or not this was due to a physical problem or if he simply felt the match would only suffer by being prolonged, so the PPV went off the air 15 minutes before time.

Homicide was competing with a fever at Genesis. At the 11/20 tapings he was hit so hard by Angle that he lost hearing. Homicide was said to be very upset about it after the match. The negative reaction of the Orlando crowd to Jim Cornette stripping LAX of the tag team titles has reinforced the belief among the TNA booking team that they need to start putting PPVs on in other cities more regularly. They feel the Orlando fans have become too hard to please as they are so familiar with the product, and that angles like the Cornette/LAX one would have worked far better in front of a regular crowd. The decision to not strip LAX of the belts after all was in direct response to the crowd's reaction.

The current plan for Turning Point is Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe, Abyss vs. Sting vs. Christian for the Heavyweight Title, A.J. Styles vs. Rhino, Christopher Daniels vs. Chris Sabin for the X Title with Jerry Lynn as referee, LAX vs. AMW for the tag team titles in a Flag/Anthem Match and, to appease the ungodly, Traci Brooks vs. Eric Young in a Bikini Contest.

Kevin Nash is interested in taking over Jim Cornette's role should Cornette eventually quit, as seems likely given Vince Russo's involvement with the company.

Christian Cage is listed as one of three top stars in the horror movie Dark Rising, directed by Andrew Cymek.

Despite the recent legal activity there is no conflict between TNA and Scott Levy over the rights of the Raven name. Levy owns it and TNA is not pressuring him into giving it up.

Because he hasn't been used lately there was a backstage collection at the latest tapings to get A-1 a flight to come to the next ones and see everybody. People were asked to chip in $10 each.

Ron Killings is still unhappy and wants a release but Terry Taylor has told him they won't release him so he can work for the competition. Lance Hoyt and Christy Hemme are both thinking about getting their hair styled like Killings. Hemme still wants more of an on-air role and her latest suggestions include either being Killings' valet or joining LAX.

Kurt Angle reportedly told Chris Sabin that he was a great worker but looked to dirty and didn't stand out. He later made the suggestion that Sabin start a new gimmick in which he would be like Pig Pen from Peanuts and have food and dirt all over him. The general consensus was that perhaps Angle's contributions to the booking team should be limited.

Cide has near 10, if not a decade of experience on Angle. No matter what Angle has done, Cide has done more but being a trainer and bringing up numerous wrestlers in the northeast. Kurt needs to learn he's not God and wrestling existed before him and will do fine once he's dead.

Hemme in LAX, I don't know if I see that working, but I'd like to see that happen.

At least everyone backstage is pushing for A-1 to stick around, if only just to spend time at the tapings.

And I find it hard to believe that Sting wanted to put Abyss over cleanly for the title win.

Poor Kurt. He's starting to get Russo ideas.

Why does everyone want A1 to stick around? Is he that nice of a guy? Must be. Or maybe he's funny?

LAX needs to keep the titles and stay heel.

In 2008...go on the road TNA. At least for most of your PPV's.

If DOA: Dead or Alive goes to theaters ( I expect a DTV release ), Nash can have some angle for TNA. Women+bikini's=ratings success.

...

:csad: right? After all...TNA does sound like something other than wrestling.

There is a lot of talk right now within TNA surrounding Kurt Angle and his behavior backstage. Before Angle left ECW there was some frustration with the way he was acting, by giving out ideas and suggestions to other wrestlers who have been in the business longer than him. Well it appears that he’s at it again and has been doing so at the past few TNA events. The reaction to this in TNA was interesting as the younger guys were excited to get advice from Angle, whereas the veterans who have been in the business longer than Angle were looking at him like he’s out of his mind.

Quite a few people have mentioned that Angle’s comfort and confidence have been ruffling the feathers of Jeff Jarrett, and are wondering how long it will be before there’s some sort of power struggle between the two. With Dixie Carter trying to get the most from her investment and nobody else being that bothered by Angle‘s actions, it looks like Jarrett is the only one really being upset by Angle.

Right now the backstage consensus seems to be that Angle is just excited to be in the company and is over-anxious to do anything he can to help.

Didn't he already "call out" Cena on iMPACT once, earlier this year? Hahaha. I love when TNA makes themselves look like shmucks with this WWE stuff.

Is a 0.86 rating a success on thanksgiving for TNA?
