This one is interesting !
It'd be of course Harry and he'd have a small mask (seen in the upper right corner) that would work pretty well with the hood on. The costume would look like a sleeveless streetwear (to give the idea he's a younger Goblin impersonator) with an armored part in the front.
The general idea for this picture is the HG would have some exciting action on the glider, using it to grind on some parts of buildings as if he was on a flying skate-board.

I'm in France and I'll reply quickly before leaving for work.

First, there's no animosity towards the creator of the original thread that got locked. I'm sure he had a good reason for doing so. :)

Second, nonetheless it was sad to discover that a thread that I intended to fuel with new art from time to time had to disappear. And the idea of gathering once more eventually the previous sketches I did was annoying and pretentious so I thank Dr Doom for saving me some time and headache over this. :)
Thanks a lot for creating this thread(and that makes us even since you didn't want to reveal the identity of swimmer-girl j/k ;)).
I didn't have any previous topic centered around what I do, only a coloring challenge for a FF drawing. Some pictures and photomanips were posted elsewhere on occasion, Hulk, X-Men forums, etc...

Third, I'm the first one to criticize my work, some of it is very bad, but most of it has been done as requests on a late message board, so sometimes it didn't take more than half an hour for making some requests.

Speaking of which, I can make requests if it's interesting and if my time isn't taken by the SHH contests or my submission pages to companies.

I've done that in my submisison pages. Check out the chibi Storm with Colossus below, it's only a panel out of 4-5 pages.
It's a pain to gather 6 X-Men in one panel with still room for word balloons. :o

Deadpool no, but I've done a couple of intended submission pages on him based on his fight with the Hulk (some panels are ok, others so-so) in regular comic-book style.
I didn't see the point in making a chibi Deadpool since it has already been done in the regular series.
On the other hand, a tiny Doom could be great fun to do, I'm on it. :D

Yeah, I didn't like him much either but I had fun "redesigning "him, using his curly hair to give him a devilish look.
Another big satisfaction concerns Nightcrawler and how I made his facial shadow match the bottom of his eyes, top of the cheekbones, it really helps for the expressions. :)

Actually it was around that time that I gave up reading comics for a while, so I'm not really familiar with the all-new Spider-Man outfit at one point.
But I liked a lot the Scarlet Spider costume, the sweatshirt with hood made nice dynamic poses.
I wonder why I never sketched those, maybe because the original costume is the best costume of all super-heroes. :)
I remember I colored this pic having in mind to show an example of how the movie costume would look without the webbing pattern, the same way that when he's sketched from far away.

That one is a special one, first it's Ultimate Spidey so I couldn't draw him too muscular and second it was designed to have the impression he was ripping the page itself, so I cut out some sort of perspective and teared the paper ! :)

I'm intending to scan A LOT of other sketches but being the victim of a paranoia (some of these illustrations will be submission material), is there a way to make sure that they won't be used against my will ?

Just take it into Photoshop and put your watermark on a seperate layer and reduce the opacity.

No, the little gate is supposed to be a small elevator to raise Wolverine from the underground facility up to the test field.
This was meant (like the other picture) as a Weapon X flashback in the X-movies, I made this before X2, mostly to show the mask would make sense in such a scene.
Singer didn't really raised the bar in X2, it was still Logan's bones being filled with adamantium. :o :(

That was a poster to promote my Illustration class, I usually try to combine at least 2 styles up there so people could be interested or sure I can help them develop their skills even if they only like comic-book style or manga style, etc...
As you know, I did the Blade/Buffy b&w pic as a dream team and I had made a long time ago a tiny Buffy. So I just had to sketch a tiny Blade - with cool shades catching action - lol.

It was done around the time the S-M movie was in production, the wrinkles on the blue parts of the suit were just a test to give a sense of texture... Something that I noticed (but couldn't capture) from the first pics being released.

For that one I wanted to sketch Black Cat in an almost Trinity jump and the sketch turned out ok but Blade's movement here is just too stiff... Even if it might feel like he's into bullet-time as well... Aah I dunno. :o

I did that one as a request for an online pal, I believe it's a robot from a Gundam tv serie. It was quite challenging since already when you draw a super-hero the anatomy, the muscles, everything is supposed to fit more or less but with a robot there's no choice ! :eek:

That one was a request on the spot when I was promoting my class during some general event inside the association I work for.
I did this quickly but liked how it turned out so I made a photocopy for myself before giving the original to the girl. :)

Sable - I've scanned a lot of old and new pictures because lately I've been sick and at home so that explains why I post them so frequently (and I don't want anymore to post more than 2 pics maximum in one post not to crowd the pages when they load).

The most recent stuff are the ones clearly done on a notepad, or done with regular ink pens : these sketches don't take more than a few minutes...


Ghost - Well, it's the best panel from these submission pages I tried to do, there's a better shot of them but it's been left at blue pencil stage, I might go back to it for the sake of making a real good shot of them.
On this one, I'm not entirely satisfied, I was a little loose on the anatomy and some details bother me like Pool's shoulders, Hulk in general, etc...

Lately I've doubt my capacities at working on a full book and I really wouldn't mind working for something more directed at advertisement or packaging or whatever...
It's just disgusting to see how fast I can come up with these poses, yet have trouble arranging these little guys inside panels. But anyways, THAT is supposed to be my real style... And I'm uncomfortable because I find it too easy. :o

This one is interesting !
It'd be of course Harry and he'd have a small mask (seen in the upper right corner) that would work pretty well with the hood on. The costume would look like a sleeveless streetwear (to give the idea he's a younger Goblin impersonator) with an armored part in the front.
The general idea for this picture is the HG would have some exciting action on the glider, using it to grind on some parts of buildings as if he was on a flying skate-board.

I should yeah, the problem being I love to keep track of my pages urls/img tags and my ftp tool died on me (well, around the time I stopped posting frequently).
Using Imageshack or whatever isn't as fast and easy. :\

And Clintrussell, I saw a slight ressemblance in spirit between the Hobgoblins when I saw the SM3 teaser. I wish they added a hood to their design. ;)
