The title of this thread is homage payment to the remark MSJ made when he first posted answers to our questions long ago, when he was refering to the model of the bike which he was sitting next to at the time.
At least 2 of us GR fans recieved a HUGE surprise in the mail this week; a package sent by the man himself, MSJ. He pmed me last week with a birthday greeting and asked for my mailing address. I pmed him back with his request and 5 days later I recieved the following items... and I'm still in shock from it all.
I wasn't going to say anything for fear of lashback or something but decided we've been starving for news lately and you all would appreciate seein' some of this great gear... so enjoy.
First up: Official Crew Gear worn by those involved in the filming.
A sweet T-Shirt, front and back

A Vest and The logo on it.

A Hat, Front and Back (which has been seen before. I think this was used by Blaze's crew and not so much the movie crew but, I'm not sure)

This is probably some of the coolest stuff sent. Obviously, this is promo material used in the movie for Johnny's famous jump. This is the main stuff that I wanted to show as it's something nobody's seen yet.
A Poster
http://img478.imageshack.us/img478/619/poster5cm.jpg
A program (which has the URL http://www.johnnyblaze.com on it. It is a working link but doesn't have anything exciting on it... yet)
http://img478.imageshack.us/img478/698/program8uy.jpg
And finally, this is the note he sent along with the package. I post this because it was written on a Ghost Rider notepad. Figured you'd want to see it.
http://img452.imageshack.us/img452/1596/note1vn.jpg
Mark is the coolest cat on earth. Never in my life would I have expected anything like this to happen and I think he is unique in doing so. He respects the fans and this proves it. There is nobody else I would rather have helm this film.
Damn. Just damn. That is damn decent of the man.
That hat would seriously make my year. I go everwhere with a hat, and a Team Blaze hat would just be perfect.
The first shirt's fornt design is great, too.

MSJ rocks.

i got the same thing as FH only i didnt get that program w/ Cage but i did get a 2nd poster. and of course a personal hand written note by the man himself.
i thought we were just gonna get that plain t-shirt that said Ghost Rider on the back w/ simple lettering...i was wrong. a vest, a hat, 2 posters, and freaking awesome t-shirt w/ a huge a$$ flaming skull on the front w/ "melbourne 05" on the back.
Mark didnt have to do this and it did at the very least cost the company some $$ to actually ship it to us (via FedEx no less!). it was an incredibly cool gesture from a director to do something like this.
mucho gracias Mr. M.S.Johnson!

Mark Steven Johnson is now officially #1 in my cool book.
What a decent chap. If he's ever round my way, he's invited in for a cup of tea and a biscuit.
It's nice to get a close-up look at little dressing/prop stuff like that poster and programme. Things you'd probably hardly see in the film, but which have been carefully designed by some hard-working bods.
Biggun and Flamehead, you are two lucky buggers! But, like TP59 says, you do definitely deserve that loot for keeping the board alive and keeping the rest of us all popped for the film.

From an aspiring film maker:
Yeah, MSJ is living proof that in Hollywood most film makers and actors are not as different from other people as some might think. Sure people in hollywood get money and stuff like that, but really- film is a passion. Money just comes with a job. Best part of the job is making people happy, and bringing entertainment for all to enjoy. And when I finally "make it" I'm definitely going to follow MSJ's example of having fan involvement straight from the getgo.

What I love most about BG and I is that he's more of a fan of the original title and me, I'm a fan of the 2nd coming. Together, we make one hell of a ultimate fan.

LOL! that reminds me of a really bad 70s b sci fi movie...The Incredible 2 Headed Transplant (i think that what was called). a bigoted white man had his head moved to a large surly black man....hilarity ensues. one bad/funny line is where the black man's girlfriend looks at the 2 headed man and says "so....do you have 2 of ....everything?" lol

Flamehead,
Firstly, congratulations on all that cool stuff. And a hand-written letter by MSJ to boot!
Secondly, from being on the set myself, I can say that the only clothing (from your images) which I saw, on set, was the hats.
The Johnny Blaze poster was also on the set of the big jump (they had them plastered everywhere at the Telstra Dome).
There was another shirt which the crew wore on set, and it wasn't the one you posted. Needless to say though, that is a cool shirt. (where can I get one?)
Congratulations again, as that's some cool-a$$ stuff!

Abe, you have to remember that you were only on set for 1 or 2 days and probably only seen one tenth of the people who worked on the movie. This gear could have been worn much by the set construction team or some other well hidden group, who knows?
Hmm... I'd like to see a pic of that other shirt you're talkin' about though.

Flamehead- I was there for one of the explosions that's in the trailer.
And your right in that I'm sure they didn't wear the same gear ALL the time. Especially during the cold-a$$ all-night shoots. I'm sure they would've worn those vests.
I'll see what I can do about getting an image of the other shirt, but we'll see. (Not too confident)

Kind of figured that. I was pretty supportive myself and I constantly was posting news updates. Haha... but its all good I will stop complaining and sounding like I am begging for free stuff. But I remember making a thread on Fantastic Four doing some marketing with SBCYahoo and someone who posted in it said that they worked for Yahoo and would most likely get some stuff like mugs, papers, etc. and that he would send some people some stuff. Never got anything. :(

Actually there were a couple of people who thought they didn't deserve what they got and thought others should have gotten the "F4 Pak". The guy told me that I saved them some work by making all those wallpapers (40 some odd) that I made.
I was contantly correcting the Younger fans on the look of Ben, Lightnin' Strikes too. ALBAFAN was always posting articals, links to trailers and such, things like that is what Fox was looking for, the QUALITY of the poster's not the quantity.

I'd like to think I was a quality over quanity poster in that forum. But enough of me complaining I don't wanna be a whiner or try to make it sound like I deserve things more than others. My wallpaper thread here has 16 of my wallpapers not counting the rest and the thread has been viewed 4,603, the FFwallpaper thread I did 40 some odd papers not count all the others and it was visited 24,252 times, my Thor wallpaper thread in the Fanart section has 71 wallpapers and has been visited 1,793 times and there's no movie for him!

I'm sure that all of the posts that the movie makers read are appreciated. There is no worry in that. It's just impossible to send out this kind of stuff to everyone who posts and I'm sure it's a tough decision to make on who to send it too. BG and I were probably chosen because we've been talking about Ghost Rider for years now and were litterally 2 of only 3 people who kept the GR hype alive via the Offical Ghost Rider hype thread. That and the fact that our posts are always honest and positive...
I don't think any has to worry about the amount of appreciation they have for you. We are on no different level then the rest and the quality of our posts are really no better.
Again guys, I didn't post this stuff to brag or make anyone else feel jealous. It was a tough decision to make on whether to post it or not because I didn't want to make people feel left out or anything. I just wanted to share some news and to show how great a guy MSJ is.

It's not from an offical trailer but it is taken from the Comic Con footage that MSJ screened during their panel this year, so yes it's offical movie footage. If you're interested more in that footage, check out this thread; http://www.superherohype.com/forums/showthread.php?t=190969

Hi, I know I've hardly posted here but I'm forever checking out this forum for any new news on the great flamin' one. But sadly it seems at this point in time there isn't to much info coming our way. So I thought I'd show you guys a couple of pics of some things I scored while GR was filming here in Melbourne.
First up is the same tee flamehead recieved from MSJ for his B'day gift. Along with the tee I also got this awesome signed pic of the main man. To my knowledge the tee was a crew "wrap" gift as MSJ's personal assistant said they only got it printed a few days before filming ended.
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c303/Cole_Burns/5.jpg
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c303/Cole_Burns/4.jpg
Next up is the tee that the wonderful wardrobe people let me keep after I got to be a "extra for a day". The design is a little simple but I will cherish this damn thing as a momento from one the the most awesome days of my life. Funny side note to this is that I was told to leave my jacket on even though the print on the shirt is on the back but who am I to question Hollywood!
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c303/Cole_Burns/b5499b00.jpg
And finally is the tee a mate and I designed and printed as a "thank you" gift for Mark and his personal assistant for all the amazing things they let us in on. We tried to make it look as a official as possible, obviously the idea was to make it look like tour merchandise.

How cool does he look though, I can't tell if he's being Johnny Blaze before a perilous jump or if this is just Nic hanging out with a big a$$ cowboy hat and Elvis sunnies between takes. Either way its hard to argue the coolness of this guy.

And finally is the tee a mate and I designed and printed as a "thank you" gift for Mark and his personal assistant for all the amazing things they let us in on. We tried to make it look as a official as possible, obviously the idea was to make it look like tour merchandise.

Thanks for looking, I hope this didn't bore anybody to much but I thought some of you might get a kick out of it.
I don't know how I missed this. Awesome shirts man! I'm very jealous of your awesome day that you had there. I bet you had a great time!

I think this was used by Blaze's crew and not so much the movie crew but, I'm not sure)

... more to come...
I dig that shirt man! MSJ has gotta be the most down to earth, and coolest man on the face of this planet. I tip my hat to you too Flamehead for sticking it out through the years for the movie, the comic, and the character in general. You deserve it!

Wow, Mark Steven Johnsson is a hell of a guy :up:Yep, He is.... Always has been.....Always will be... Now the Question is this... For those of us who have made the GR SHH board their home, Will you follow MSJs career and Projects in the future more closely because of his contributions here at the hype??? I know i will..

He has my respect and admiration.
I will support his future works as much as I can, if only as an ongoing thank you for all he did for us.
I know I have only been on the hype a long time, but I have been waiting for a ghost rider movie for so long it hurts.
I have been joking with my best friend that this is almost too good to be true ... :ghost:

Still want a shirt like that. I don't really wear hats unless it's for my security guard job, or the Reniassance faire's I've worked at.
At this point I'd be happy getting the postcard! lol
