I confess I think I'm becoming enamored with olde english and they way they spoke and wrote.

To tangent off of that, although my accent is a something used for humor and belittles my intelligence I feel as though my current fascination with old english is affecting the way I type/talk and I'm finally getting back to using more of my vocab. Yay!

A friend of mine got married one year ago, and he's celebrating their first anniversary.

I am shocked that (1) they're still together now that his wife is a citizen, and (2) she wasn't pregnant a year ago. I'm not saying that I have doubts about their relationship; I'm just saying they were together 4 months before getting married. Wait, yes I am.

If he married his wife so she would gain citizenship, she still has another year to go before being able to apply for citizenship.

Well, I suppose we can relate then. I never though of myself as a stoic person but maybe I need to reconsider that I might be. I just cant seem to get as emotional in regards to sadness as most people around me. Im typically a very happy person though and Im pretty patient with most things without getting aggravated.

Im no Squidward...i would definitely say im more spongebob at heart as well....except the fact that I dont cry....and it's not that I dont want to. I sort of feel at times like "hmmmm, this is probably where I should be crying" but I just dont lol.

People show emotions in many different ways. Even if there is no outward sign, that doesn't mean that there isn't a lot going on internally. I know people who don't cry, then go on to nitpick a tone of voice that someone spoke to them with. There's a million different ways to be emotional without having crying as one of them. Too bad I can't seem to master any of them! Haha! I'm either crying or grumpy as hell! :oldrazz:

There is a lot of things to do.

I took a tour of the Grand Canyon that left at 7 am and brought us back around 5 pm. You can go to Hoover dam as well which is closer. Not sure how long to get to Death Valley.

There's obviously gambling. There's shopping. If you just want to hang by the pool.

We went to the Atomic Testing Museum.

Not sure if they have earlier shows but you should check that out as well.

Dude, be patient. Something good will happen. No matter how hard we all try at the things in our lives most of the time we have no choice but let them work themselves out. It's hard to do. And I know it doesn't seem fair when our efforts aren't rewarded in the timely manner or fashion we want. Believe me, I know.

Here's my $0.02 of personal philosophy for you:
1) Just lean forward and walk. Keep moving mentally.
2) Find a creative outlet for your frustration.
3) Personal 'alone' time is good. Don't avoid reflection on yourself.
4) The exception to #3 is unless you're feeling lonely, depressed, or despondent. Then you definitely need to seek out people to be around. But maybe try meeting new people who you don't feel resentful or envious of.
5) And last but not least, a line by the Unknown Comic which is both true and funny and helps me keep things in perspective: "Falling on your face is still moving forward."

a joke that Louis CK once said

My bank is the worst. They are screwing me. You know what they did to me? They're charging me money for not having enough money. Apparently, when you're broke, that costs money.

I don't know if you've ever had only five dollars in the bank, but guess what -- you can't get it out. You can't. You can visit your five dollars, you can call it on the phone, but you can't get it out.

At some point, you have to ask yourself if its really worth it. A friend of mine currently has $90,000 in student loans.

i confess i'm a little freaked out.

a couple months ago a friend was using my phone to text someone while i was driving on our trip. they have a weird sense of humor and although both are attched to others, one married, one engaged they joke about getting together.

well his wife just called me from a blocked number and accused me of having an affair with him. after setting her straight and being completely flabbergasted, i think i'm gonna kill my friend.

Woooooow

I think she's more bothered by the fact that it appears to be disproportionately pooling in the little brain in your pants...
