Actually, I believe what she is wearing on top is technically a long tunic top, which is really in style right now - at least I've seen quite a bit of that shown at the trendier shops.

It still looks like crap, IMO. She could do much better for herself with that body. The dress she wore for the 100th ep. party was, well.. a bit more flattering (in a hoochie-mama kinda way) but still.. it was working for her. This ensemble just looks weird, and emphasizes the huge gap in her cleavage that you could drive a truck through.

With a body like that, it's hard to find something that isn't flattering, but she seems to have managed.

PHILADELPHIA -- Erica Durance, who plays Lois Lane in Smallville, said she's signed on for 13 episodes for the next season on The CW.

She said there's a danger of Lois and Clark getting too close on the series.
"You could wind up frustrating the audience," she said. "Or if it ends up they get together and once there's love, it's like, sayoonara, Smallville's over."
Durance said she feels the show could go through a sixth season and even a seventh.
In other highlights from the panel:
* Durance was asked about the inevitable comparisons with Kate Bosworth, who plays Lois Lane in Superman Returns.
"It seems like they're trying to start a catfight with me and Kate," Durance said. "That's not going to happen. People who see the movie might take an interest in watching Smallville."
Durance said she was looking forward to the movie.
* Asked what her favorite episodes were, Durance included the first two she was in; "Lucy," which featured Lois' sister; and "Spirit," the prom episode because Annette O'Toole's work.
* Durance credited the show's writers with shaping Lois. "The writers have done a great job creating the relationships," she said, noting that she enjoys being able to work with several different actors on the show.
* Durance's husband was her acting teaching for four years. Palffy said he plans on directing Durance in a project soon.
* Durance said she misses John Schneider, whose Jonathan Kent died in Season 5.
"I see it as a turning point in Clark's life," she said. "It helps propel the story forward."
Durance laughed about the first time she worked with Schneider. "I was very, very nervous because he was Bo Duke," she said, "and I grew up loving Bo Duke!"
* Durance said she was always a fan of Superman, introduced to the character by her brother.
* Asked what she would like to see for Lois in the next season, Durance said she would like to see Lois continue on her path to being an investigative reporter.
"And I hope I get to kick more people," she said, laughing. "That's a great stress reliever."
* Durance said she got an early taste of what star Tom Welling (Clark) and Michael Rosenbaum (Lex) were like. "There was a black chair and a leopard-print chair, and I knew right away that Michael's chair was the leopard print."
* Durance said she and Allison Mack (Chloe) are very hyper when they're together on set and she noted she has learned a lot from working with O'Toole. * Durance said she was impressed with Welling when he directed an episode in Season 5. I loved the first Butterfly Effect and this one should be good too with miss Durance in it. She made the worst film of all time, house Of The Dead directed Uwe Boll memorable only because she got topless:up: Ah good times, but the rest of the movie was trash.

Smallville's Erica Durance

Erica Durance's Lois Lane is getting a superhero boyfriend this fall on CW's Smallville (premiering Sept. 28 at 8 pm/ET). And while he's tall and handsome, you'll never see him wearing a red cape.

The future "Daily Planet" reporter will be paired with Oliver Queen (aka Green Arrow), to be played by Justin Hartley, who starred as Aquaman in the Smallville spin-off pilot that CW opted not to pick up for the 2006-07 season. "I haven't met him yet," Durance says, "but it's lovely that [they found a Smallville role for him]."

Will Oliver's arrows puncture Lois and Clark's forever-budding relationship?
"I'm the actress, not the writer, talking, but I think Lois being with Green Arrow will make Clark search through some of his feelings and make him ask himself why he feels that way," previews Durance.

The actress theorizes that putting Lois and Clark together in a full-blown romance potentially could harm their on-screen pizzazz faster than a chunk of gold kryptonite would wilt Superman's extraordinary abilities. "I think [the powers that be] would have to figure out how many years the show is going to go," she muses. "Then they can map out how far they can bring Lois [and Clark's relationship] along."

In other words, Durance would prefer not to see Lois and Clark go the way of Moonlighting's Dave and Maddie. (Remember how flat- out boring those private eyes became after falling into bed?) "Watching characters dance around each other and bait each other and not quite fall into sentimental love is interesting for me to see," she says. "What is also interesting for me to see is these two fighting with each other and finding out why they love each other."

Still, we all know — thanks to reading Superman comic books (and from watching Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain, Margot Kidder and Christopher Reeve, and Kate Bosworth and Brandon Routh share this dance elsewhere) — that the intrepid reporter and the last son of Krypton are destined to be together. It's like what Martha Kent told Clark last season when he lamented not being able to be with Lana. She told her boy that maybe he was meant to have somebody else, only he doesn't even know it yet. (Cut to viewers screaming at their TVs: "Lois! Lois!")

When Durance assumed her Smallville role back in 2004, she wanted to bring to the Lois-Clark dynamic more of the spunky qualities that Kidder did in the Superman films of the '70s and '80s. "I watched some old movies [like Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant's] Bringing Up Baby to kind of get that idea," she shares, hastening to add, "I'm not comparing myself to Katharine Hepburn, but [Lois and Clark have] a similar kind of relationship."
How has Durance's life changed since becoming Lois? "I do more traveling, my life has a faster pace, and I'm getting opportunities to do films," says the actress, whose upcoming movies include The Butterfly Effect 2 and Ecstasy.

While Clark and Lois may have to wait a while before they figure out their true feelings, Durance knows that in real life she's already been struck by Cupid's arrow. She and actor David Palffy (Blade: The Series), having met three years ago while filming an episode of Stargate SG-1, wed in January 2005. "We're quite a team," Durance gushes. "I feel very lucky. We share a lot of the same interests. I'm very opposite to Lois in that I'm nonconfrontational. Let's make love, not war."

Also on hand to help with the auction were Marvel’s marketing guru Jim McCann, who planned the presentation, and comic art collector extraordinaire Dave Mandel.

Mike Turner made a surprise cameo for a few moments to drop off a special pencil splash of Superboy he made especially for the auction.

“It was really the artists’ generosity more than anything else that made this possible,” Loeb said. “I had no idea what to do with the art. Where to sell it, how to sell it. Nothing. Secretly, I think I wanted one guy to give me $25,000 so I could say goodbye to the whole thing. I never expected to do what we did. Never.”

The auction raised almost $70,000 for the charity. The panel room was so packed with bidders (and fans wanting to get a chance at seeing Durance) that many had to stand.

Erica and Jeph played off one another very naturally. Anyone can easily tell that they're good friends.

She does look a little too old sometimes on the show, blame the make-up team for that, but it doesn't happen very often. The way she looks like in the new promos is perfect.
