As most of you know X-Men 3 has a website which has been up for a few weeks now. Once it loads it has a short 'teaser'. It shows the camera flying over some trees and then over Alkali Lake, as seen at the end of X2. There was speculation that sentinels could be involved...

Where did this sentinel stuff come in? Sounds rather more like the same sort of rumours about gambit.
The fly by was to show the phoenix force nothing to do with giant robots.

Well I think it was because it shows some coordinates and 'Alkali Lake' pops up and they have done something with the footage and it looks like it is from a machine (sentinels) view...

Well, I have to say that I'm pretty darn sure we'll see some form of Sentinels in X3... thats personal speculation (built on by rumors). I wouldn't be surprised if it was, to be honest. It'd be great to have Jean 'awake' to a heck-load of Sentinels, and then her taking em' out - that'd be a great display of her powers... but it could also de-magnificate* (is that a word) her awakening... But, I do believe it could be Sentinels...

News seems to be pretty scarce right now in terms of X-Men 3, so we wanted to bring everybody up to speed on the most recent "schedule" for promotional updates. Please bear in mind that as always, these are subject to change, although we are very confident that the updates will occur in a schedule close to the following:

It looks as though we are in the calm before the storm. December is set to be a BIG month in terms of X-Men 3 promotion. We have been told to expect an "explosion" of X3 around the time that the teaser trailer is released. Here is a recap of exactly what is on its way in December:

- We will get our first glimpse at the new characters from the movie in USA Today magazine in the form of in-character promotional photography.

- The official website at X3Movie.com will receive a slew of major updates. We can confirm that Fox plans to debut the teaser trailer for X3 on the official website before it hits theaters. This tells us that the website relaunch will be occuring at some point before the 14th. This will be our very first look at any footage from X-Men 3.

- Finally, the teaser trailer, which a publicist for Fox has said will be "Spectacular!", will debut in theaters with King Kong on December 14th.

We'll have exact dates for you as soon as possible in terms of the USA Today pictures and the official site relaunch, so keep checking back!

now the only thing that worries me about those statements is that it states that our first look at the new characters would be in USA Today but doesn't make it directly sound as if that would be released prior to the release of the teaser trailer. In which case the teaser would only feature the characters we already have seen images of and not any of the new main characters or even possibly the massive ammount of cameo characters

But the difference was that we knew there were updates coming for SR. Singer said the website would be updated with wallpapers, icons, etc....

We have had no news on X3. Big difference.


Also, many sites have had no trailer on them when the trailer has been released. Sometimes it takes up to a week to update it. I saw the SR trailer online on the WB website about 5 days before I saw it on the SR website.
