Appears to be a big role, the leader of the Morlocks...could open the door for Gambit/Marrow.

Agreed. I'm very surprised and pleased about this character choice! :up: The actress is a very, very pretty girl indeed. One more beautiful actress in the X-Men movies to add to the list. :xmen:

I don't mind the absence or the APPARENT absence of an eye patch, but I guess I would like to know why they decided not to use it..(It's possible that she will use one later on in the film)

Either that, or I would love to see Storm's power (or anything for that matter) damage one of Callisto's eyes and makes it useless. Hence a reason for a patch?

As far as I know she was. I've read the early Power Pack story that indroduced many of the old school morlocks and have a copy of the issue where Storm gains leadership of the morlocks, and as far as I can recall Callisto had the patch right from her early appearances.

I know Callisto and Stacy X have their separate stories from the books, and probably aren't featured as more than henchmen in the film, but for some reason seeing the two of them standing together in the woods behind Magneto makes me hope Callisto is domineering but femme and Stacy is her *****. They look like they'd make an insane couple. ;)

I thought Callisto was a model prior to her becoming a Morlock.:confused:


In any case,I'm sure theyll give her eyepatch an origin in the same manner they gave Rogue's white streak one.The Omega symbol has nothing to do with Omega Red,but is rather a symbol for what Magneto deems the "ultimate" mutants.

completly agree im more interested in BOTH their characters now...but indeed they were certainly CAST wrong..or REVERSE... when i looked up omahyra..i immediatly saw callisto....

Unfortunately they may not be fleshed out - although, perhaps Dania is replacing Rebecca as the female heavy on the team, Callisto for Mystique. Juggernaut probably won't be much more than a Sabretooth, and there's Pyro, and Callisto could be the right-hand woman. I just liked the looks of both characters when I saw them in the trailer. I hope they serve as much of a smackdown to Storm as she gives to Stacy ;)

Since i haven't said much on Callisto, I will now...

When I first saw her, I was meh-ish... But now, I have really warmed up to her look. She looks fantastic. I like the tatto, but I feel there definitely needs to be an eyepatch somewhere... and just as Rogue got her white stripe in X1, I don't imagine it'd be any different for Callisto in X3. She looks great, though - strong and powerful. I believe she is probably representing the Morlock's affiliation with the Brotherhood as a thanks to Magneto... But I want to see that eyepatch. Has anyone else noticed a sort of discoloring in her right eye, I mean around it?

Sentinels are fully operational forcing some mutants to hide underground, with Callisto leading the way. Hence, the Morlocks in X4 and eye patch. But the eye patch is lame nowadays, I hope she gets a really cool but hideous scar.

:up: Nah, I was kinda like joking. I posted a while ago that I think that Calisto was the leader of most of the mutants (Morlocks) and that Storm would defeat her in a duel for leadership of the group, by poking Calisto's eye out. That way we get the duel por leadership, the eyepatch, and a way to defeat that huge amount of mutants, all in one.
I really don't care much, I was joking 'cause I said it I no one cared at the time (by arguing that the mutants were Magneto's followers from Alcatraz and nothing more) :(

Her life was saved by Storm and together they turned against Kulan Gath and defeated him. Callisto and her allies found themselves on a new timeline where Kulan Gath never transformed New York.

Callisto was wounded during the Marauder's massacre of the Morlocks and took refuge with the X-Men. She later encountered Peter Nicholas, the former X-Men called Colossus. Callisto herself was transformed into a beautiful model by Masque, who later captured her and told Peter how she had transformed Callisto. Peter defeated Masque but Callisto was then attacked by Genoshan Magistrates. She escaped and embarked on a new life with Peter Nicholas as lovers, but this new lifestyle did not last long and so Callisto and Colossus went back to their former lives.

Later, with the few remaining members of the Morlocks, Callisto joined with Colossus's thought to be long dead brother Mikhail. The Morlocks were thought to have been killed when one of the tunnels they were hiding in was flooded, but unknown to the X-Men who were trying to save them, Mikhail opened a portal to another dimension and saved Callisto and a handful of Morlocks. Together, Mikhail and Callisto, now romantically involved, created Gene Nation, a militant terrorist group which sought to punish "upworlders" back on Earth. Their stay in this dimension did not last long, due largely to the intervention of the X-Man Storm, and Callisto and the rest of Gene Nation returned to Earth.

Most recently, Callisto, joined by the young ex-Gene Nation member named Marrow, tried to abduct government agent Henry Gyrich, who they held responsible for OPERATION: Zero Tolerance. As the two mutants attacked Gyrich's limousine the super hero known as Spider-Man stepped in to stop them. Although the death of Gyrich was prevented by Spider-Man, the mutant involvement caused the activation of two Prime Sentinels who where once Gyrich's agents. The Prime Sentinels battled with the mutants and Spider-Man, and as they were about to kill both Spider-Man and Marrow, Callisto, having witnessed too many deaths in her life time, leaped in the way of the sentinel's bio-blast and took the blast at full force.

Callisto was seriously injured by the Prime Sentinels, but it gave Spider-Man and Marrow a chance to fight back and with the help of Agent Gyrich they destroyed the Prime Sentinels. Callisto was taken into the Morlock tunnels by Marrow to have her wounds heal. It is not known if Callisto has lived through the experience.

Like I assumed with Wolverine, Callisto's keen sense of touch should make her a bit more stronger, make her more agile, give her higher balance, dexterity, and among other things...Nothing superhuman, but enough to make her a pretty good fighter..

Going back to the "who controls Callisto controls the army" makes a lot of sense. I think that is where Storm vs Callisto will come in so that if Callisto looses, Storm becomes the leader and whatever advantage Magneto had over the X-men will shift. What do you all think?

Such as if it does turn out that Jean's mutation evolving to turn her into Phoenix was caused by Magneto's machine in X1, they would have already decided to make her into Phoenix because of that and put in that weird look she gave after the machine was destroyed, like she knew that it affected her in some way. With this, they could already know to do the Mutant Massacre and Gambit, but just not exactly how to do it, and they would know to do Archangel and Apocalypse after that.

I always thought a great cliffhanger ending [to set up the Four Horsemen] would be sort of like X2's ending. Angel tries to kill himself (but instead of blowing the plane up, he would crash it instead), and then the audience would see the plane crash. Jean feels something bad has happened, and sees the crash in her mind. She tells the X-crew. Now, everyone thinks Warren's dead. Cut to...

The remains of the crash. Fire and explosion surround the area. The camera shows a near-dead Warren, with severe burn marks and scars. A minute later, a deep, broading voice is heard off-camera. It's Apocalypse's voice.

"And now for my final servant... Death."

The movie ends.

It just seems there are too many mutants on the Brotherhood's side of things. The Brotherhood has always been known to be only 5-7 members at the most.
Some of these mutants should end up with Callisto and become the Morlocks.

This should be in the X-sequel section, so forgive me.

I always thought a great cliffhanger ending [to set up the Four Horsemen] would be sort of like X2's ending. Angel tries to kill himself (but instead of blowing the plane up, he would crash it instead), and then the audience would see the plane crash. Jean feels something bad has happened, and sees the crash in her mind. She tells the X-crew. Now, everyone thinks Warren's dead. Cut to...

The remains of the crash. Fire and explosion surround the area. The camera shows a near-dead Warren, with severe burn marks and scars. A minute later, a deep, broading voice is heard off-camera. It's Apocalypse's voice.

"And now for my final servant... Death."

The movie ends.

It doesn't seem like they gonna show tentacled Callisto...I didn't even know she had tentacles these days until I read it here, actually. I haven't read the comics in awhile. I think they'll just use the classic Callisto powers...maybe have a few Wolverine-esque scenes of her using her enhanced senses to track down/sense someone coming and lots of scenes of her throwin' down with the X-Men.

In the comics greek alphabet has been used to classify mutants by their power levels, with omega being the highest. As the omega is the last letter in the greek alphabet, it makes sense that it would be used to symbolize the "next level" or even the "final goal" of evolution in mutants.
