I still say, the question didn't bother me NEARLY as much as the answer; I bet if she'd just let the question dangle, most people would've liked it more.

How about "Don't hurt me; just gimme a chance-JUST GIMME A CHANCE!"

I think they need to give her more lame lines like that.

Maybe in X-3 she could say this to Juggernaut:

"You know what happens when a tornado comes to a giant?"

1 minute later

"Stuff gets blown around."

"I've gotta get me one of those" from Batman Begins. The only thing i didn't like in the movie. It was like they were trying to sell you a Bat-mobile.

I hate the most lines between Peter and MJ in Spidey 1 and 2.

"Can you drive stick"

it seemed way too... light and fun for Batman in the middle of a crisis. Unless of course, this high octane hybrid military vehicle was ACTUALLY controlled like a manual transmission automobile... then... well... I didn't like his tone either...

Pretty much everything Katie Holmes's character said in Batman Begins (admittedly, that's probably in part due to the fact that each line was followed by my mind screaming "WHY AREN'T YOU HARVEY DENT?!".... but no matter). In particular that "What chance does Gotham have when the good people do nothing?"... on paper it doesn't look so bad, but her lacklustre delivery of the line, and the expression on her face, make me wince every time.

"It's not who you are underneath. It's what you do that defines you." Lines like this make me wanna shoot people the face!

Isn't that from a movie that's not even out yet? How can you say you like the movie if you haven't seven seen it?
And the line may fit.

don't get me wrong, i don't like it enough to have it in my collection, i just don't mind watching it when it's on.

but i have no major quarells with it because i'm not really a batman fan and i can understand why people do have problems with it.

i don't know personally what it was trying to be but it was definitely something.

When it comes to the Batmobile though, the Batman has usually been known to have some grim fun. True, the crisis presenting itself wouldn't normally have lent itself to quick puns...

Nearly every line delivered by Keaneu Reeve's in the first Matrix movie. Not neccesarily the lines themselves, but the delivery, it just seemed so wooden and half-hearted everytime Neo would realise something new about the Matrix, he'd just pass it off as if nothing whenever he spoke.

The Matrix Is Not A Comic Book Movie & That Falls Under Performances, Not Lines.

That's more or less how I felt 8 years ago. Now I find it unwatchable, largely due to disputes I've had w/people who hold it & the Adam West version to be canon.

The X1 Storm/Toad line was the first that sprung to mind.

So the question was;

"Do you know what happens to a toad when it gets struck by lightning?"

The answer should have been;

"French Toad"

It's obvious.

Heh, well, I can come up with dozens of lines from movies I didn't like or don't care about.
But as for any from the films I do enjoy, if I have a problem with a line, it would have to be plot related rather than the way it is delivered.
I consider Storm’s infamous Toad line merely cheesy but nothing to scream in agony about.
And now that I think more about it, in SM2, I did kind of frowned more than usual on Peter’s revelation on phone.
