 at the hugh cover

I got dreamwatch today, great article. I was stuck in the car park for over an hour waiting to get out because some car broke down on the exit ramp on the second floor  Managed to read almost the entire magazine! My nan was with me and had a look through it out of boredom, she really wants to see POTC2 now lol. What really made me laugh was she saw the image of brandon routh as superman and she asked me "is this man really playing superman? He looks more like supernerd" that had me laughing for ages :D

I didn't know where to post this but is the X-men 3 game out already coz i went by ebgames last thursday and they had a standee/shelf with the various X-box, 360's, PS's, etc cases. I didn't check to see if there were actual disks in it.

It's sad really i have no idea how video games and their releases work.

N_z0 ... it is not out yet. My local GameStop had the same thing, I was confused when I saw that. Usually, there is a sticker on the box that says 'For Display Purposes Only' or something. I asked if it was out and they said no. Release date is May 16th ...

Hey i'm not a gamer so i have an excuse not to know. :p

But what's weird was how the 360 and the Current Gen Xbox both have the same graphics on the back. I would think that they would have higher poly counts on the characters on the Next Gen titles. They certainly show better graphics on the 360 Burnout: Revenge's at work compared to the Xbox ones.

Weird.

I have no idea where else to put this...but there are X3 soda cups out. Not the slurpee cups--these look like the plastic cups you get at Burger King.

I saw a few people with them when I was fighting my way into a very crowded Yankee Stadium this afternoon. It's just the teaser image with the 3 claws. Not sure where they got them. I don't think there's a Burger King near the stadium, but there's definitely a McDonalds right by the subway.

So they're out there somewhere! :)

And the Yankees won 4-1 today. Woo-hoo!

I have scanned everything that Cinemania magazine here in Spain had about X3, the report is just that of the set visit, no new pics that i realize but it has two good things, 1: the person that wrote the characters profiles knew his thing because he/she doesn't give any wrong info and 2: the anouncement for next month magazine cover. And interview with Sir Ian, it's mainly about Da Vinci but it has some tidbits on X-men,like that he likes x-men because there's always something going on in it and that people likes magneto because of his princuples and how he defends them, and that he wised they had written a love story for him like showing magneto making love to the professor and then this turning into Misty!! that nobody recognizes him as Magneto and Gandalf at the same time for the people he is one or the other
The big phrase says"Holywood is a bad behaved child"Tatcher apointed him sir and he answered saying that he was gay. This theatre animal discovered fame when other were retiring.

It is just me or these covers are saying:

"Juggernaut will fight with:
- Colossus
- Rogue
- Iceman
- Kitty Pryde
- and possibly Beast?"

And that same thought is applied as well to Storm/Callisto, Logan/Magneto, Cyclops/Phoenix, making us to realize that Xavier and Mystique are some kind linked [dying perhaps] and the Murphy Law Factor being angel...

Or I am REALLY wrong?

Rebecca Romijn gets the blues as Mystique in X-Men: The Last Stand...

http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/8834/pepperdennis6oo.jpg
...and makes news in Pepper Dennis.

Little did your father know, back in 1999, that the mesmerizing blonde staring back at him from the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue would soon work her way up the entertainment totem pole, unfurl enough acting talent to silence jealous naysayers, and become the breakout star of summer 2006.

Rebecca Romijn knows this is her moment. With the recent debut of her hour-long WB show Pepper Dennis (a sophisticated comedy about a local news reporter with her eyes locked on an anchor spot) and several summer films about to rock marquees (including a little one called X-Men: The Last Stand) the former supermodel is tired, she’s overworked, and there’s not much relief in sight; but she’s rising to the occasion like a bona fide star, and that will only serve her well as the next few months wear on.

A native of Berkeley, California, Romijn, 33, first found herself in the public eye when she left UC Santa Cruz for Paris the summer after her freshman year, and ended up on the cover of French Elle. It didn’t take long for the beauty to become one of the world’s most sought-after models, posing for Christian Dior, Victoria’s Secret, and a slew of other top fashion houses. She took over the coveted role of host of MTV’s House of Style, following Daisy Fuentes and Cindy Crawford; shone on the small screen in roles on Friends and Just Shoot Me; and is now slipping on the blue body paint again for her role as shape-shifting bad girl Mystique in the third installment of X-Men. The original film’s wild success led her to other tough-as-nails roles in Rollerball and The Punisher. Along the way, she also gained points as the critically acclaimed lead in Brian De Palma’s Femme Fatale, and opposite Robert De Niro and Greg Kinnear in 2004’s Godsend.

Romijn began dating Jake in Progress actor John “Uncle Jesse” Stamos in 1994, and hyphenated her name in 1998. The pair divorced last year, yet remain friendly. These days, however, she has a new leading man, film and TV actor Jerry O’Connell. The two are blissfully engaged and live in Calabasas, California, close—but not too close—to the hustle and grind of LA.

Despite her hectic schedule, we were able to steal a bit of face time with the woman behind the Mystique. (Jealous, much?)

GOTHAM: Congratulations on everything! Pepper Dennis, X3—you’re the busiest woman in Hollywood right now.
REBECCA ROMIJN: It’s a tremendous amount of work, but the show is very fun. I said early on that if I were to commit myself to a project like this, it would have to be really fun.

G: What’s the best part of playing Pepper?
RR: I haven’t had a chance to be funny before, so that’s nice.

G: And taping isn’t too grueling?
RR: Well, I had to get to work by 4:30 this morning, so right now I’m just trying to stay awake. But I have to be honest… the shows just keep getting better and better. It feels like we’re really taking them to the next level.

G: Why did you decide to take the role?
RR: Initially, I was looking at a lot of pilots and film scripts… and this one jumped out at me. I was reading very strong female leads, but most of them were very procedural shows. I thought to myself, If I’m going to commit a few years of my life, I’m not going to be reading dialogue like that. I wanted to do something different.

G: Having an entire hour-long show centered around you must be quite overwhelming.
RR: I try not to think about it.

G: How are you similar to or different from the character of Pepper?
RR: She’s slightly obnoxious. Reporters have to be very driven, and I understand that now. Pepper will be running alongside a limo to get a story, sticking her microphone in the sunroof. So when she falls in a puddle, you don’t feel bad for her. But then again, she doesn’t care, which is why she’s great. I identify with her ambition.

G: The public is totally obsessed with reporters and their very singular kind of celebrity. What are your thoughts?
RR: Well, it’s a perfect avenue for the relationships on the show, and it lends itself really well to getting this character in over her head. Local news reporters are sent into all sorts of situations. These days I get to watch local news programs and call the writers and say, “Pepper’s gotta try this.” Last week I was watching a local show in LA, and a reporter was doing an Electric Slide-athon. Pepper needs to do an Electric Slide-athon.

G: What were your favorite sitcoms growing up?
RR: Oh, all of them… from I Love Lucy to The Facts of Life to Three’s Company to Happy Days…. I watched a tremendous amount of TV growing up. I used to do my schoolwork in front of the TV. At first my mother was hesitant, but after a while, she said, “It’s like you’re doing research.”

G: I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but you’re in or on practically every subway car, bus, and telephone booth in New York.
RR: I was just there, and it’s surreal. It’s so crazy. Jerry [O’Connell], my fiancé, grew up in Chelsea. His mother calls five times a day, saying, “Three more buses went by, all with Rebecca on them.”

G: How hard was it to earn respect for your talent, not just your looks?
RR: In acting, the way you look dictates the kind of roles you’re going to get. But the pretty-girl roles never had much to offer me. I’ve just been really careful about the things I’ve decided to do. I go for characters who are slightly flawed.

G: Which brings us to your character, Mystique, in the X-Men movies.
RR: It’s so exciting to be a part of those! The experience is like that of a mother who goes through labor pains; when the movies come out I forget all about the blue paint and say, “Sign me up for more!”

G: Really? Will you keep on doing them?
RR: I think three might be enough for me. It was seven years ago that we started the first one.

G: What’s most fun about playing an evil character?
RR: It’s so cool to be the first one to bring a beloved supervillain to the screen. I forever get to be connected to that role. When the movie comes out, it’s great… especially if the boy fans are happy.

G: You also have The Alibi opening soon, as well as Man About Town with Ben Affleck. It’s kind of an “all Rebecca, all the time” summer. How are you going to unwind after this back-to-back press?
RR: All I do is dream about lying on a beach! I’ve become obsessed with looking at Caribbean real estate. I’ll look at a property and say, “This is the house where I would love to spend the summer!” I don’t know when exactly it’s going to happen. The shade of nail polish I have on is literally called I Need a Vacation.

G: Are you “girly” like that?
RR: To be honest with you, I work these 18-hour days, and on Saturday I can barely get out of bed. But I have to get my nails done. That’s what Pepper would do!

G: So you’re method acting.
RR: Exactly.

G: You’re engaged to Vern, from Stand by Me. Do you ever call him Vern?
RR: I never have. Wasn’t that a great movie?

G: The best. You two live in Calabasas—what about the lifestyle there appeals to you?
RR: It’s beautiful… I live in a house called the Wagon Wheel Ranch; it’s an old brothel from the 30s. It’s a funny little house—a cross between a Swiss chalet and a set house from an old Western movie.

G: And you’ve got a vineyard, right? Will you produce and bottle wines?
RR: They’re baby vines right now—Jerry goes there and tends them every weekend. Calabasas is pretty rugged, up in the Santa Monica Mountains, and the native plant life is pretty aggressive. Jerry thinks that the local plants will overtake the little vines… it’s a war against weeds. For Christmas, he asked for a Weedwacker. Can you believe I bought him a Weedwacker?

G: You’re about to head to Europe for the premiere of X-Men: The Last Stand. Have you done press in Europe before?
RR: I have. The world premiere of X-Men 2 was in London. So I went to London, Rome, and Paris the last time. Since there are 13 primary characters in the movie, they kind of spread us out across the world. It’s a “divide and conquer” thing. A lot of foreign journalists ask weird questions…. Many don’t speak English, so they get creative. I had this one Italian man start pulling all these roses out from under his shirt.

G: Italians can get away with that.
RR: They’re so charming….

G: When you’re not on a media blitz and you return to New York, where can you most often be found—Downtown? Midtown?
RR: Well, I go to New York all the time—I was just there last week. I love it. These days, we go back to Chelsea, where Jerry grew up… and my best friend lives a few blocks from there. I always go to Florent, or down to Bar Pitti in the West Village, where I lived for six years. I love that part of New York. I often get lunch at Diner 24 on Eighth Avenue, and I’ve been to Megu a few times, with that big melting ice Buddha. Oh—and I just love the Biltmore Room. It’s got this great fireplace—it’s so beautiful. And the food is really sensational.

G: So, where are you headed after we part ways?
RR: I have CNN right now, and then Jimmy Kimmel Live after that.

G: Well, you’ve got places to go and things to do. Are you nervous about Jimmy Kimmel?
RR: Honestly? My nerves are fried. I don’t have enough energy to get nervous. I’m just trying to be as present as possible.

G: You certainly did well with me!
RR: Well, thank you. [G]

Here's the article and interview from Harper's Bazaar Magazine about Anna Paquin

From Harper's Bazaar Australia, May 2006
by Sharon Krum

Without meaning to, Anna Paquin has lived her entire stellar acting career backwards. At 11, an age when girls are putting their Barbies away for good, she won an Oscar for her debut in The Piano, which wrapped filming when she was nine. "It was a thrill, but I also remember being worried about being made fun of when I went back to school." Then at 19, she stepped onto a stage for the first time in New York. "I was terrified and pretty sure I would be fired every single day, including after we opened." Now 23, the articulate and thoughtful actress has entered the zeitgeist as the X-Men franchise's Rogue, the sexy mutant who can kill with a touch of her fingertips. "Most of the time people don't recognise me, but sometimes high-school kids come on the subway and shout, 'Yo, that's Rogue!'. And I just want to disappear right there. I am very shy, actually."

You've lived in New York for the past five years, which is a very un-young-Hollywood thing to do. Why not live in LA where you can network and schmooze?
"I lived in LA for two years. I finished high school there, and truthfully, it's not my kind of city. I don't care for lots of sunshine and cars and large urban sprawl. I grew up in Wellington, New Zealand, where you can walk your entire way around the city and I like that in New York I can do the same. And there is so much more going on here than just the entertainment industry. It's a really culturally rich place to live."

You're a huge disappointment to the tabloids. No scandal, no sightings at hip clubs. How do you do it?
"I understand going to premieres is part of my job. And while I didn't sign up for it when I was young, of course, at this point it's something I choose to do. But I don't want to go to sceney clubs or restaurants where paparazzi are outside 24/7, because that's not how I want to live my private life. I want it to be low key because if you're putting yourself in situations where you're going to be watched all the time, I don't think it's a very natural or spontaneous way to live. That would keep your defences up, and as an actor the idea is to let your defences down."

Dressed, as you are, in jeans and a black jumper, with no makeup, you could be the uni student next door.
"Yes, during the day I'm a jeans and T-shirts girl, a bit grungy and punky, but I love dressing up for an event. I love Jimmy Choo shoes and a beautiful dress by Narciso Rodriguez or Zac Posen. You know designing clothes is the only thing I ever thought seriously I might like to do other than acting. As a creative art form I think designing is really interesting."

The buzz on you is as a serious actress. Nobody saw Anna Paquin playing a comic-book hero coming.
"Neither did I. But I had just turned 17, was working on Almost Famous, and somebody asked me if I wanted to meet Bryan Singer, who was doing the X-Men series. There were some seriously talented people working on the film - Sir Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman - and I thought it would be fantastic to work with them. I enjoy working on those films, they're great fun."

Fans are obsessed with your character Rogue, the mutant who cannot have human contact. Why?
"Because everyone has felt lonely at times. And while she is a broad literal interpretation of that, everyone can relate to feeling rejected for some part of them that they can't help. I think a lot of people struggle with feeling they don't fit in, particularly adolescents."

Who is the one person, to affect you most as an actress?
"Philip Seymour Hoffman. He directed me in my first play, The Glory of Living, and he raised the bar for me. I had no idea about theatre and he put me through my paces. It was an amazing experience ..."

Now about that Oscar. Do you ever feel that because you have one you don't need to work hard anymore?
"God no. I really hope I do something else that is more significant than something I did when I was nine. Not to devalue it all, but I really hope that at some point there are other things in my life that have more meaning. I don't think it's possible that your best performance is behind you."

STARBURST Magazine (UK) - #337

X-Men: The Last Stand Feature in Starburst (UK) Thursday May 4th, 2006

Starburst magazine profiles X-Men: The Last Stand in their most recent issue, #337, on stands now in the UK. Although the article is not accompanied by any new photos, it does include several interesting quotes from Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry and Rebecca Romijn regarding their experiences working on the third film.

You can read some highlights from the article below:

Hugh Jackman: "When we were filming, I remember saying to Patrick Stewart after a scene that it was the best work that we'd done together. It was all down to the writing, which was just fantastic. We had some great scenes, with things in our characters' relationship that had never been explored before. And likewise with Halle Berry, that was the best stuff we've ever done, and there was a terrific scene with Anna Paquin, who plays Rogue - we did some fantastic stuff which really rounds out the relationship between us."

Halle Berry: "I do have a more prominent role, but it would be an exaggeration to say the film centers around Storm. It is still X-Men and there are a lot of new characters as well. This time, she doesn't say a lot, but you understand who she is and where she is coming from. ... In one scene, [Storm] challenges Wolverine's beliefs and asks him to 'step up to the plate or step off'. She will not accept any indecisiveness and she tells him that he has to make a choice. She is almost saying, 'make a choice, I don't even care what it is as long as you make one, because I need to know what side you are on.'"

Rebecca Romijn: "I loved my storyline and I know the rest of the cast felt the same way. I think it is going to be amazing. Sir Ian and I have discussed our characters quite extensively. We have decided that Mystique and Magneto had once upon a time been lovers. We are no longer lovers, of course, but we have very deep respect for each other. She is his wing-woman. She is more than his assistant, they have a deep-seated bond and the question is, will it be time for them to part ways? Their relationship changes very dramatically during this film."

Issue #337 of Starburst is on sale now.

I didnt say it was a dream , Jan. I said somehow Jean , from the depths of the lake , induced him the desperate will to go to the lake on the fatidic day something very bad will happen to him. Whats gonna happen wasnt told. The magazine only says that going there will bring "tragic consequences"

About Rogue... lol... "rogue" is actually a hard word to translate to portuguese. It wouldnt fit the comics or the hottie Rogue. Vampira (Vampire) reminds us that she drains vital energy.. as much as a Vampire.. well, anyway.. I'm Brazilian.. I got used to it.

We have Tempestade=Storm, Anjo= Angel, Fera=Beast, Ciclope=Cyclops, Fênix=Phoenix, Fanático=Juggernaut, Lince Negra= Shadow Cat, ...
